Travelers can expect to experience Last Epoch Season 2 on April 18th, themed Tombs of the Erased, which brings a lot of new game content to players to enrich their game experience. Here are the specific new features:
In Season 2, players can join a new endgame faction called The Woven, which makes you unconditionally believe in the Weaver and always strive to create a perfect new world. This Titan’s influence is spread across Monolith of Fate and multiple Timelines, and also brings you a lot of challenges and opportunities to gain new powers.
Currently, Monolith of Fate Echoes in Last Epoch Season 2 have a chance to spawn a Tomb of the Erased, a new procedurally generated side challenge area. It is full of new Woven enemies, bosses and the loot they provide. Note that Tombs can spawn in any Echo, except Quest Echoes and Arena Echoes.
When you enter these tombs, you’ll clearly see that the entire area is wrapped in silk cocoons, which are souls captured by Weaver. When you destroy them, they will directly possess nearby enemies, giving them some new skills, higher health and damage capabilities.
Once you defeat them completely, you can pick up Memory Amber they drop, which is your exclusive currency for Woven Faction. At the end of the tomb is one of Goldthread Fateweavers Bosses, and after defeating it, you will receive all copies of the current Echo bonus reward.
In addition, you will find another new echo type in your Echo Web called Cemeteries of the Erased, which is completed by defeating Woven Firstborn boss. It is important to note that after completing the first cemetery, you will be taken to Woven Faction hub, Haven of Silk.
Not only have your challenges in the endgame been updated, but the items you use in them have also been modified - at the end of Tombs and Cemeteries, you’ll find Woven Enchanter device, which can enchant the exclusive Idols of your chosen class, which will add an enchantment affix to it and convert it into a Heretical Idol of the same type.
The Monoliths and Dungeons in Last Epoch have always been important places for players to farm and explore, but they have undergone significant changes in Season 2. The first is that the combat objectives of the Monolith have changed: not only do you need to defeat the Champions and Exiled Mages enemies in it, you also need to activate Shrines, open Lost Caches, stabilize Echo, and find Cocooned Items.
Not only that, in Season 2, characters who can access the same storage room can share unauthorized Timelines unlocks. This means that if you unlock Authorized Timelines on one character, another character with access to the same vault only needs to complete one timeline to unlock Authorized Timelines.
Shade of Orobyss also now scales with Last Epoch’s zone level, but since it has 42% less health and deals with 20% less damage, your overall exploration difficulty doesn’t change drastically.
But in each Spire, a Spire Guardian will spawn, who will protect Spires with their Echoes. And only after you successfully defeat these guardian enemies will you be able to start destroying Spires, as a protective shield will be cast over them.
In Dungeon, a new item category called Key Charms has been added, and you can use Portal Charms to teleport yourself or your team directly into the arena with the boss, or Scale Charms to greatly increase the spawn rate of Loot Lizards in that dungeon, making it more profitable.
This means that you can respawn in dungeons by using these keys, for example, in a dungeon boss fight, if you are in a party and all players are dead, only one member of the party needs to consume a key to respawn and continue the fight.
In addition, completing Temporal Sanctum, Lightless Arbor, or Soulfire Bastion for the first time in an updated dungeon will reward you with 2 passive points and 1 Idol unlock, so that you can use them to make the best Last Epoch class build.
The above two aspects can be said to be the most important new features and changes in Last Epoch Season 2. In addition, there is a regular season update, such as making some balance changes to existing classes, adding some new unique items and skills to increase the variety of builds, etc.
There are also many quality of life improvements, such as problems found by players when exploring Last Epoch on console controllers and adding some automatic loot pickup functions, which are the best proof that the developers listen to players!
With these new features and numerous improvements, Last Epoch Season 2 Tombs of the Erased is sure to please all travelers who explore it! Have fun playing!
Once you enter the endgame phase in Last Epoch, not only will the game mechanics become more complex and difficult, you will also encounter more dangerous bosses. Sometimes these bosses are even closely related to each other - you must defeat one to find the next higher-level boss.
Take Harbinger Of Hatred as an example. Only by defeating him can you move on to challenge the pinnacle boss Aberroth, but to unlock the encounter with Harbinger Of Hatred, you need to kill the final boss Rahyeh in The Black Sun timeline. Based on this, we will give you a priority to introduce you to how to defeat this “intermediary” boss.
Of course, as we have already mentioned, you must defeat Rahyeh first, and then the probability of Harbinger Of Hatred appearing is related to your Corruption level. Corruption is a special mechanic in Monolith of Fate system. The more Corruption you have, the more dangerous the enemies you encounter will be, but they will also provide more rewards.
Harbinger of Hatred begins appearing when you have 100 corruptions, and a new difficulty level unlocks for every 25 corruptions (up to a cap of 300 corruptions). To get as much Last Epoch Gold as possible from Harbinger of Hatred, as well as other rewards, you’ll need to clear the normal versions of the timelines Spirits of Fire, The Last Ruin, and The Age of Winter.
Before you start fighting Harbinger of Hatred, you must defeat Rahyeh, The Black Sun in the same fight, as it can be tricky to deal with both bosses at once. Harbinger of Hatred is a tanky boss that defends itself by absorbing damage and negating your AOE attacks, so you’ll need to be on the move and fully aware of its attack patterns to defeat it.
The boss’s weakness is that there’s a vulnerable gap between two powerful attacks, which is when you can deal with damage. Here are all of its attacks and how to deal with them.
The boss will use this skill to form a cone-shaped ground slam that will cause physical damage to you. When this skill is activated, the boss will raise the hammer, which can be used as a sign to sidestep to avoid the attack.
This skill has a larger range of slams and will be accompanied by a red warning, which will cause severe physical damage to you. The way to deal with it is to quickly move out of the red warning area to avoid the attack.
Harbinger Of Hatred and its echoes use this skill to launch a series of slams at you, sending out physical and void damage lines. You need to place yourself between the echo lines as much as possible to avoid the related damage.
The boss will launch three consecutive weapon swings, which will bring powerful ground slams. To avoid this attack, you must stay away from the boss during the combo and re-engage after the last slam.
This skill allows the boss to summon lingering orbs that deal void damage when they come into contact with you. To avoid them, you must keep moving and avoid hitting these orbs.
When this skill is activated, the boss will open a portal and smash it through with his hammer, dealing physical and void damage to you. Therefore, when the portal appears, you must immediately move away from the portal to avoid the attack.
Harbinger Of Hatred will rush forward with this skill and deal physical and void damage to you. The damage caused by this boss skill can be dodged laterally.
The boss will use this skill to deploy orbs that will shoot void projectiles at you in a straight line. To avoid this attack, you need to stay as far away from the line of fire of the turrets deployed by the boss as possible.
After understanding Harbinger Of Hatred’s combat skills, you also need to equip reliable gear and modifiers to make your Last Epoch character more powerful in order to easily deal with this boss. I believe you have already discovered that this boss mainly causes physical and void damage, so the following types of gear and modifiers will be more targeted:
Gear:
Echo Modifiers:
After defeating Harbinger Of Hatred, in addition to basic gold or XP, you will also get some unique items, and rewards related to Forgotten Knight Faction, including:
If you find this information useful, enter the game now to unlock and complete this exciting boss battle! Good luck!
Whether in Diablo 4 or POE 2, the gambling element of APRG games has always been throughout. From the items dropped by monsters to the affixes of changing equipment with props, this is a kind of gambling.
There is also a more direct way to gamble in the game, and that is to find merchants to gamble. Both Last Epoch and Diablo 4 have merchants dedicated to gambling. They will not provide you with any specific goods, and every time you gamble, you may get junk items or very rare unique items.
There are two types of gamblers in Last Epoch, divided into Gold Gambler and Soul Gambler according to the currency they require. They appear in different places and provide different equipment. Each gambler has his own advantage area.
The gambler most well-known to players in Last Epoch is Artem the Gambler. When players come to the first hub town, they can see him in The Council Chambers. And you can also find him in various towns afterwards.
Here are the features of Gold Gambler:
Gold Gambler is a gambling location that players can access early, which is its advantage. If you are lucky enough, you can have some powerful equipment in the early stage of the game, but most of the time it will just swallow your gold and spit out garbage.
The inventory of Gold Gambler is divided into three categories: weapons, armor, and accessories, and you cannot see the affixes of each item. Only after you have got them, then you could see the level and affixes of each item.
Here are tips for using Gold Gambler:
Soul Gambler is not encountered until the endgame. After you defeat Fire Lich Cremorus, you can find Soul Gambler. Unlike Artem the Gambler, Soul Gambler offers you more valuable items. Not only do you have a chance to get unique items, you may even get set items.
Here are the features of Soul Gambler
Soulfire Bastion is a Fire, Necrotic-themed dungeon where players need to collect Souls. The feature of Soulfire Bastion is that it allows players to switch between two damage immunity states, and players need to carefully identify the damage type of monsters in this dungeon and fight with the boss. Finally, use the collected Soul Ember to trade with the gambler.
Soul Gambler and Soul only drop in Soulfire Bastion dungeon, which requires a Soulfire Bastion Key to enter. If you die at any time in Soulfire Bastion, you will be teleported out of the dungeon and lose all progress. However, if you have an extra Soulfire Bastion Key, you can continue trying without losing your current progress, which is equivalent to having a chance to revive on the spot. Each key in your inventory gives you one chance to revive.
Soulfire Bastion Keys can be dropped from Timeline Bosses, Arena of Champions, or any monster. Timeline Bosses are recommended here, as Arena of Champions has a low chance of dropping a Soulfire Bastion Key.
Soul Gambler has a bunch of items, and their quantity, type, and value change every time you explore Soulfire Bastion. All of his items are available once you have collected enough currency within the dungeon.
While Soul Gambler’s inventory is mostly random, the items he carries and the gambling results themselves can be modified by setting the about dungeon modifier.
There are also some unique items in Soul Gambler’s inventory that can only be got through Soul Gambler’s rewards:
The above are the two gambling methods of Last Epoch. They can provide you with temporary help when you are most scarce to upgrade your equipment. However, the weapons, armor and accessories obtained through gambling have a very low Forging Potential, so this game encourages players to make their own equipment.
Last Epoch Season 2 has been an enormous success, and it’s a wise decision to avoid the release of POE 2 Dawn of the Hunt, but it’s also because of its own excellent quality. Last Epoch is simpler than POE 2, but more complex than Diablo 4, and this balance has allowed it to accumulate a group of loyal fans.
Last Epoch Season 2 has made a big change to the endgame, adding new factions, which also added new runes to the game, and players need to understand their uses to avoid wasting runes.
Runes are an important part of crafting items in Last Epoch. They can reduce or add affixes to items, or even completely transform one item into another.
Different Runes have different effects, but if you’ve played Path of Exile, you’ll find that Runes and POE 2 currency have very similar effects.
Runes are consumables like Last Epoch Gold, and once you use them, they disappear. Runes will drop in various situations, but the drop rate is very low. You can try to farm runes in the following ways.
In addition to the above methods, you can also encounter runes in some shops, such as Rune of Shattering. Rune of Shattering is one of the necessary props for dismantling items, and it is also very precious. You have to prepare hundreds of thousands of gold in advance to exchange it with merchants.
Basically, every shop owner has Rune of Shattering. If you have enough gold, you can look for a few more shops. However, it takes time to replenish Rune of Shattering, so you should not look for a merchant repeatedly.
In addition, you can also join Circle of Fortune faction and complete tasks to get runes, or use Monolith of Fates system to increase the drop rate of runes.
Give a random number of Affix Fragments based on the item’s properties and destroy the item. This rune can recycle item affixes. Rune of Shattering has no Forging Potential requirement.
Remove a random affix from an item and you gain an equal number of Affix Fragments.
Reroll all affixes on your items, and note that the range of affixes is determined by the item’s level.
Adds a random first-level affix to all empty affix slots and increases the chance of extracting a rare affix. Using Rune of Discovery does not consume Forging Potential, but is used on items without Forging Potential.
Reroll the implicit affixes for this item.
Transform an item into a unique or set item of the same type. This rune cannot transform an item into a unique or set item, such as one that is only dropped by a boss. Somewhat similar to Orb of Chance in POE 2.
Make another copy of an item, with Forging Potential of both the original and the copy reset to zero and cannot be modified further.
Rescales the level of unsealed affixes on Exalted items that have at least four affixes, and this does not increase or decrease the level of the affix.
Changes an Exalted affix on an item to a random affix. Rune of Redemption does not affect the level of the affix.
Seal an Experimental Affix on an item, and the original slot will be vacant so you can add new affixes, but the sealed affix cannot be modified further. When Experimental Affix is sealed, there is a chance to get a Glyph of Insight.
Use the remaining Weaver’s Will or Weaver’s Touch on the item to upgrade the item’s affixes.
You can place Runes in the auxiliary item slot of the crafting panel to use them. You can’t use runes on items as you please. First, Last Epoch Runes have requirements for items, and they can’t be used on items that don’t meet the conditions.
The equipment itself comes with 18~55 Forging Potential. Every time you modify it, it will consume Forging Potential. Once the Forging Potential of an item reaches zero, it can no longer be forged by any other item.
Like the currency in Path of Exile, Last Epoch Runes have random effects on items. They may not necessarily improve your items, but may also destroy them. Therefore, you must be mentally prepared before using runes.
Last Epoch Runes are an important part of crafting items, but because their effects are random and very precious, it is recommended that you use them together with Glyphs to maximize their effectiveness.
Last Epoch season 2 improves and enhances the endgame content, giving players more ways to get items. Monoliths of Fate is the endgame system of Last Epoch, and Monolith Blessing is one mechanism from Monoliths of Fate, which can increase the drop rate of equipment or gold, and can also improve one of your attributes.
Here are the effects of each Monolith Blessings:
You can treat these blessings as a passive, and you can use gold to reset the blessing, but you can only choose the blessings you have obtained, and you cannot choose the blessings you have not yet obtained.
This April is definitely a very busy month for ARPG enthusiasts. At the beginning of the month, Path of Exile 2 released a new league Dawn Of The Hunt in advance, and at the end of the month, Diablo Season 8 will be launched. Between them, the most eye-catching is undoubtedly the arrival of Last Epoch Season 2 Tombs Of The Erased.
As a MMORPG officially released last year, although Last Epoch is not very perfect in all aspects, it brings you a brand new gaming experience based on its unique game world view. In the new Season 2, the game maintains this tradition and adds a series of new mechanisms related to it to further enrich the endgame content of the game.
These mechanisms are centered on a new faction called The Woven, which brings you many challenges and opportunities to gain new powers by making you believe in Weaver unconditionally. For example, you can add more goodies to Woven Echoes in Monolith of Fate by developing Weaver Tree, making it easier to earn Last Epoch Gold in battle.
Based on this, we will mainly introduce you to the relevant information of Woven Echoes so that you can use it to your advantage after fully understanding this new mechanism.
In more popular terms, Woven Echoes are like a general term for those smaller tasks, each of which can be inserted into your Monolith of Fate timeline as a project. Different Woven Echoes represent different challenges with different rewards.
In Season 2, to insert Woven Echoes to complete the corresponding tasks, you first need to erase a Cemetery of the Erased - this is your own Echo type that will appear in the timeline. After that, go to the end of the cemetery to activate Altar to the Weaver, which will list your exclusive timeline, and then you can insert all your Woven Echoes to add them as explorable Echoes. Each time you complete a Woven Echoes for the first time, you will earn one point for Weaver Tree.
There are currently two ways to get Woven Echoes in Last Epoch Season 2. The mainstream method is to go to Silk Haven to find Masque and exchange your existing Memory Amber directly for Woven Echoes. The stock of Woven Echoes that Masque can provide depends on your ranking in The Woven - the higher the ranking, the more Woven Echoes.
Memory Amber is a special currency that only applies to The Woven system. Its main function is to exchange Woven Echoes and increase your The Woven reputation ranks. You can farm it by completing the corresponding quests or dungeons in Season 2.
Another way to get Woven Echoes is to kill enemies in Cemeteries and Tombs of the Erased through quests and challenges, as well as random enemies outside of these dungeons. The advantage of this method is that it is more direct and saves more Memory Amber, but the disadvantage is that you cannot get a specific Woven Echo.
It is worth noting that if you can unlock certain nodes in Weaver Tree, the corresponding sources will have a higher chance of dropping Woven Echoes for you. For example, unlocking Necropolis of the Weaver node will allow you to get more Woven Echoes after killing rare enemies in Tombs and Cemeteries.
There are 36 Woven Echoes to collect in Last Epoch Season 2, each with its own unique challenges and rewards. In order to improve your collection efficiency, we have listed the ones worth completing first:
If you haven’t started collecting Woven Echoes yet, be sure to follow the information we provide as soon as possible, which will be useful for you to complete Last Epoch Season 2 endgame!
