FAQs About Elden Ring Nightreign

Q: What Is Elden Ring Nightreign?

A: Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative survival action role-playing video game based on the excellent soul-like game Elden Ring. It is expected to be officially released on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox X|S and PC on May 30, 2025.

Q: What Is The Difference Between Nightreign And The Previous Shadow Of The Erdtree?

A: There are many differences between the two games:

Nature

First of all, it should be made clear that Elden Ring Nightreign is not a DLC, but a complete game, so it is not the same category as Shadow of the Erdtree. At the same time, Nightreign is not a sequel to the basic game Elden Ring, so players don’t have to worry about the developers making large-scale changes to the difficulty of exploration.

Gameplay

Compared to previous games in the series, Nightreign retains the main and most common gameplay of this excellent soul-like game, and incorporates some battle royale mechanics into it: players will form a team of three and enter a randomly generated map full of enemies and treasures. Each game is a three-day cycle. Players need to defeat enemies to level up and find treasures to upgrade their equipment.

As the team explores the map, the storm circle will close at different time intervals throughout the day (about 15 minutes in real time). The health of players trapped in the storm circle will gradually decrease, so the characters used by players in it move very fast and can climb to different areas by double-clicking to jump.

At the end of the third day, your team will experience a very brutal boss encounter. There are currently eight confirmed bosses, from Dark Souls, Dark Souls II, Dark Souls III, and Elden Ring. But the boss here will not be allowed to be challenged again.

It is also worth mentioning that Nightreign also allows you to take all the loot you search for in this randomly generated map, and after completing the final boss encounter, all the rewards you get, such as gear, cosmetics, and consumables that can be placed in the build, can be taken away from this map and used to advance the main quest.

Although leveling up characters in the game still needs to be done in various Sites of Grace in the map, it is no longer necessary to improve a single specified attribute to leveling, but to directly increase the level, so that all attributes of the character are improved.

Story

Unlike Shadow of the Erdtree, Nightreign has a main storyline quest that is neither in Elden Ring nor related to it. However, according to previous statements by the developers, the plots contained in these two games may be inextricably linked at some levels.

Q: Can Multiplayer Explore Elden Ring Nightreign Online?

A: Since three people are required to form a team in the battle royale mode, you are allowed to explore in multiple players, but it is worth noting that you can only enter the game as a single player or a team of three, and the two-player mode will not be allowed.

This also means that you can explore the main quest alone offline, or you can explore with your friends in an exciting team online.

Q: What Classes Are Available?

A: The following are the names of the currently confirmed classes and their specific game styles:

  1. Duchess is an assassin who can stay stealthed in battle to attack the enemy at close range and cause heavy damage.
  2. Guardian is a tank who wears heavy armor and holds a spear for long-range attacks.
  3. Recluse is a magician who can use super high elemental damage to cause significant damage to the enemy.
  4. Wylder is a warrior who is proficient in various melee weapons and has super defensive capabilities.
  5. Ironeye is an archer who can control the enemy from a distance and cause long-range suppression and damage to the enemy.
  6. Raider is a barbarian who can wield a giant double-headed axe and summon stone pillars from the ground, making him immune to most enemy attacks.

The above is just some classes available in the current beta. We will continue to pay attention to the remaining classes in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Elden Ring Nightreign All Bosses: How Many Powerful Enemies Are Waiting For You?

Elden Ring Nightreign All Bosses: How Many Powerful Enemies Are Waiting For You?

Elden Ring Nightreign has been released, and many Souls-like game enthusiasts will not miss this feast. Judging from the previously released trial and the current player feedback. Elden Ring Nightreign is more like a 40-minute to one-hour Boss Rush. You need to team up with two other players to spend the first two nights (of course you can do it alone, but it will be very difficult), and finally face Nightlord. Unlike Elden Ring, your upgrade points are fixed, and you cannot freely choose how to allocate your attributes.

In this game, your real enemies are various bosses, and the various ordinary monsters you encounter during the day can basically not stop you. Then have a look at over 90 bosses you will encounter in Elden Ring Nightreign.

There are also strong and weak wild bosses. Some of them are only elite enemies in Elden Ring, while some even appear as Night 1 Bosses. These wild bosses will appear at random points of interest, and the particularly powerful ones will be indicated by skull marks on the map. If you can defeat these dangerous bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign Expeditions, you can get powerful benefits.

Night 1 Bosses

  • Bell Bearing Hunter
  • Demi-Human Queen and Demi-Human Swordmaster
  • Battlefield Commander

The bosses in Night 1 Bosses are not that dangerous. Even in Elden Ring, they are not very difficult bosses, but they may not be that easy for people with arachnophobia.

The difficulty of Night 2 bosses increases dramatically, and you can even see a familiar face from Dark Souls 3, Nameless King. Even the first boss encountered in Elden Ring, Fell Omen, shows a completely different desire to attack, and many players fell in the second night. If you are unable to successfully defeat Nightlord or Night 2 bosses for the time being, you can use Elden Ring Nightreign Boosting to improve your strength.

Raid Bosses

  • Augur
  • Equilibrious Beast
  • Fell Omen
  • Sentient Pest

They sometimes invade your world and bring a sudden battle. These Raid bosses are extremely powerful, even stronger than Night 2 bosses. Defeating them will give you powerful bonuses, but being defeated by them will cause you to suffer debuffs.

Night 2 Bosses: Unknow

Nightlords are the real enemies that players need to face. They can bring you epic battles. At the same time, their attack desire and damage are also greater than ordinary bosses. The real Nightlord is Heolstor The Nightlord, and the other 7 bosses are just his guards.

Players can specify which boss they want to fight before entering the game, and after defeating them, they can get Elden Ring Nightreign Relics.

Special Bosses

  • Night Idol (Revenant Unlock)
  • Tunnel Crystalian (Wylder Remembrance)
  • Stray Bloodhound Knight (Executor Remembrance)
  • Onestrike Gladiator (Raider Remembrance)
  • Blinding Elder Lion (Raider Remembrance)
  • Guardians Of The Dew (Duchess Remembrance)

Special Bosses are related to the character’s background story. Defeating Special Bosses can get powerful Relics. Some Night Idols also need to defeat a Special Boss to unlock.

For players who like to challenge bosses, Elden Ring Nightreign will definitely satisfy you. Knowing the information about the boss in advance can maximize your chances of defeating each boss.
