Most Player SBCs and Upgrade SBCs now utilize the new Streamlined SBC system. Players can directly submit eligible Player Items from their Club with no need to assemble a full squad based on Chemistry, Position, Nationality, or League.

This shift changes how the value of Fodder is assessed. Factors such as Item Score provided by high-rated cards, the handling of duplicate untradeables, and the cost in coins per point all influence the final price of completion.

How Streamlined SBCs Work?

When you access a Streamlined SBC in FUT 27, the system lists eligible Player Items from your Club. Each submitted card adds to your progress toward the target score, and rewards are claimed once the goal is reached.

Most Streamlined SBCs do not require a full 11-player squad; Chemistry, Position, Nationality, and League rarely affect eligibility for submission.

However, some challenges may still impose additional conditions, such as a Minimum OVR or specific Eligible Item requirements. Therefore, it is best to check Requirements and Eligible Items sections before deciding how to allocate your Fodder.

Item Score

In FIFA 27, Item Score is primarily determined by OVR, Rarity, and Holographic Status.

The gap between 84 OVR and 85 OVR cards is particularly significant. An 84 OVR card provides 830 points, whereas an 85 OVR card jumps to 2,100 points.

Therefore, OVR shouldn't be the only factor when determining if Fodder offers good value. An 85 OVR card might have a higher price tag, but if it provides more Item Score for FUT 27 coins spent, it could be more cost-effective than stacking many 82, 83, or 84 OVR cards.

EA has also stated that they will continue to monitor Item Scores based on actual data and player feedback.

Duplicate Card

Streamlined SBCs allow multiple duplicate FC 27 player cards to contribute to Item Score individually.

For example, two identical untradeable 83 OVR cards can each provide 410 Item Score, contributing a total of 820 points.

Duplicates in 80 - 84 OVR range are particularly well-suited for steadily accumulating points. Cards in this range are frequently obtained through standard packs and rewards; they offer more efficient progress than Bronze, Silver, or low-rated Gold cards, making them ideal candidates for daily Fodder usage.

Partial Progress

Streamlined SBCs support partial progress, meaning FUT 27 players do not need to gather the full Item Score requirement all at once.

Suppose a challenge requires 20,000 points: you could submit 7,000 points initially, leave SBC, and return later to complete the remaining progress - Item Score already submitted remains saved.

If a time-limited SBC expires before completion, the submitted player items are not returned. Instead, the system awards an untradeable Partial Completion Reward based on the accumulated Item Score tier.

Currently, an Item Score of 1 - 500 corresponds to a Bronze Pack, 501 - 1,000 to a Large Bronze Pack, with rewards scaling up as the contributed score increases.

However, these rewards do not guarantee a return equivalent to the value of Fodder used. Spending a large amount of FC 27 coins to replace high-value cards lost in an unfinished SBC can easily outweigh the compensation received.

Fodder Strategy

Bronze, Silver, and 75 - 79 OVR cards provide lower Item Scores, making them better suited for topping off progress. Relying on them to meet high Item Score requirements in FUT 27 usually requires submitting an excessive number of cards.

An 83 OVR card provides 410 points, while an 84 OVR card yields 830 points; these are ideal for utilizing duplicates obtained from rewards and packs.

Point values ​​increase significantly for cards rated 85 OVR and above. An 85 OVR card offers 2,100 points, an 88 OVR card reaches 8,300 points, and an 89 OVR card provides 11,000 points - meaning a single high-rated Fodder card can satisfy a large portion of the requirements.

When selecting Fodder from Transfer Market, compare the player's market price against their Item Score.

A lower ratio means spending fewer FIFA coins for each point of SBC Score. Whether mid-rated or high-rated cards offer better value will depend on real-time Transfer Market prices.

Holographic Items

In FC 27, Holographic items receive an additional Item Score bonus. If the card is also a Special Item (such as TOTW or a Campaign card), Rarity Bonus and Holographic Bonus stack.

While these cards are more efficient for filling requirements, you should still check their market price and actual squad value before submission.

Regarding FUT Gallery: once a player item has been recorded in your Gallery History, it continues to contribute value to eligible Gallery Sets, even if you subsequently sell the card or use it in an SBC.

Eligible items already recorded in your history will count toward any new Gallery Sets added later; therefore, Gallery itself is not a compelling reason to hold onto a specific card.

Standard duplicates can be prioritized as Fodder, whereas high-value Special or Holographic items require careful consideration regarding market price, potential squad use, and the fact that submission is irreversible.

As Transfer Market prices fluctuate in FC 27, the cost-efficiency of different OVR ranges will also change. Rather than hoarding Fodder of a single fixed rating, continuously comparing coin costs against Item Scores makes it easier to manage long-term investment in Player SBCs and Upgrade SBCs.

FC 27 Early Access is already live, and the new game has added several new Skill Moves, including Ball Roll Spin, Fake Turn, Stepover Combo, and Kneeling Header.

Ball Roll Spin

The first Skill Move is Ball Roll Spin, which requires 4 Star Skills. As the name suggests, this move is built on FC 27 Ball Roll. First, perform a Ball Roll, then hold Right Stick and input a 90° direction to the left or right. Keep in mind that the direction for Skill Moves is always based on the player's perspective.

For example, if the player is moving toward the right side, Ball Roll needs to be performed by holding Right Stick up or down. In FUT 27, Ball Roll is often used to create a passing angle by pulling the ball to the side. Experienced opponents may recognize this move and immediately adjust their defensive positions.

This is where Spin comes in. After the player starts Ball Roll, quickly flick Right Stick forward to trigger Spin. The player will suddenly burst forward, and with the right timing, you can use the space that has just opened up to break through. Performing these two moves together creates Ball Roll Spin.

Inside the box in FIFA 27, Ball Roll Spin could be very effective and can even be used to fool a rushing Goalkeeper. When Goalkeeper comes off the line, getting the timing right could allow you to beat the keeper and finish the chance directly.

In EA FC 27, Ball Roll Spin can be used while jogging or sprinting, and it can also be triggered while standing still. When the player is standing still, Spin comes out faster, but you lose some of the ability to mislead the opponent with the initial Ball Roll.

Fake Turn

The second Skill Move is called Fake Turn. The name looks simple, but it is quite interesting in actual FUT 27 gameplay. It also requires 4 Star Skills, and the entire move consists of two parts.

The first part is a 180° fake shot. First, charge a Shot or Cross, then quickly press Passing Button to cancel it while moving Left Stick 180° in the opposite direction.

To perform the new Skill Move, the initial input is basically the same. However, while the player is starting to turn, you need to push Left Stick in the opposite direction again. This cancels the original turn into a Spin Move, with the player eventually continuing in the original direction.

That is why it is called Fake Turn. The first part of the move is essentially telling FC 27 and the opponent that you are about to turn. If the opponent falls for it, they will start moving toward the direction the player originally appeared to be leaving.

You then need to cancel the turn during Spin phase and continue moving forward, allowing you to take advantage of the space you just created. This skill move works better in areas of FIFA 27 where you can pose a real threat to the goal. 

Only when the opponent feels the pressure of a potential shot are they more likely to fall for Fake Turn, helping you score, win the match, and earn FC 27 coins.

Stepover Combo

Stepover Combo is the first 5 Star Skill Move in FC 27. When performing this move, the player must be in a jogging state and cannot be standing still. First, hold L2/LT, then input a Stepover by moving Left Stick in a quarter-circle to the left or right.

After completing the input, simply keep Left Stick moving in a straight direction or release Left Stick, and the player will start performing consecutive Stepovers and Body Feints. In FUT 27, this sequence lasts for around 1 second, which is actually quite long for a skill move.

More importantly, you can decide which direction to exit from at any point during the move. Change Left Stick input, and the player will end Skill Move and move in the corresponding direction.

Because of this, it works somewhat like the regular Stepover in FIFA 27. The difference is that this move gives you a longer window to react, allowing you to wait for the defender to respond before deciding when to exit and which direction to move.

Kneeling Header

The final Skill Move in FC 27 is Kneeling Header. Compared with the previous moves, this one feels more like a move for messing around and taunting your opponent. It does not require a specific number of Skill Move Stars, but it does require the basic version of Trickster PlayStyle.

To perform it, the ball needs to be near the player's feet in FUT 27. Then press L2 + R2/LT + RT at the same time and flick Right Stick forward.

This is currently the hardest skill move to perform consistently in FIFA 27. There is a good chance that the player will fail to perform Kneeling Header and simply continue dribbling the ball with their feet. This could be caused by incorrect timing or an input issue, with familiarity being the main factor affecting the success rate.

As for its actual use, this move probably will not help you win FUT coins. It is more suitable for humiliating an opponent when facing an open goal. Of course, there is also a chance that you will end up humiliating yourself instead. 

For now, that is basically the extent of its practical use in FC 27. Still, it is easy to imagine the community producing plenty of funny clips featuring this move in the future.

To get a feel for these FC 27 Skill Moves, you still need to try them out in actual matches, especially the move cancellations and changes of direction. After enough practice, you will perform them more consistently.

EA FC 27 Early Access fully launched on September 18, and gameplay feel has become one of the first changes players notice after entering the new game. Shot and Pass Assistance

Shot Assistance offers three options: manual, precision, and assisted. Assisted is more suitable for players who are new to the game or prefer a more casual experience. Precision is better suited to FC 27 players who want greater control over their shots. It takes some time to get used to, but once familiar, it makes shot direction and placement easier to control.

FIFA 27 passing settings can be adjusted according to personal preference. Through Pass Assistance, Lob Pass Assistance, and Lob Through Pass Assistance can be set to Semi. Ground Pass Assistance and Cross Assistance can remain on Assisted, retaining some assistance while allowing more control over pass direction.

Pass Receiver Lock

Pass Receiver Lock is one of the more useful settings to explore in FUT 27. It mainly determines when the passing target is locked. Animation Start locks the pass receiver when the kicking animation begins. Once the passing motion starts, the direction indicated by the left stick affects the final pass direction.

Power Up locks the receiver when the pass button is released. Late locks the pass receiver as late as possible, roughly around the moment the ball is kicked. This allows the passing direction to be adjusted until the final moment before the ball is played in FC 27.

If an opponent has already blocked the original passing lane, Late provides more room for last-second corrections, helping you win matches and earn FIFA 27 coins.

Late feels more flexible when the connection is stable. If the connection is unreliable, locking the receiver too late can sometimes lead to passing mistakes. In that case, Power Up or Animation Start may be worth trying.

Clearance Assistance can be set to Directional. In FUT 27, this setting allows you to use the shoot button together with the left stick to direct a clearance toward a specific area. Classic automatically determines the clearance direction. For players who want more control over where the ball goes, Directional is worth trying.

Defending and Player Switching

In FC 27, defending currently offers two options: Advanced and Tactical. Both are worth testing, and there is no need to assume that one setting will suit every player.

Advanced places more emphasis on manual defensive control, while Tactical uses a different form of defensive assistance. Start with the setting you are already comfortable with, then adjust them according to how tackles, positioning, and physical challenges feel in actual FIFA 27 matches.

For players looking to improve their in-game performance and accumulate more FC coins, Professional Fouls is recommended to remain enabled. This option allows tactical fouls in specific areas of FUT 27 pitch, helping stop an opponent's attack, although the position of the foul and the potential consequences still need to be considered. 

Auto Switching is recommended to be set to Air Balls and Loose Balls. This allows FC 27 system to focus automatic switching on aerial balls and loose balls, reducing frequent player changes during normal defensive situations.

Auto Switching Move Assistance can be set to Non Full Control, leaving some room between automatic switching and manual control.

Right Stick Switching is recommended to be set to Classic. For Right Stick Switch Reference, Player Relative is recommended, as it makes switching based on the current FIFA 27 player's position easier. Right Stick Switch Sensitivity can be tested between 4 and 6.

Camera

Camera has a noticeable impact on FUT 27 match experience. Different angles affect the amount of the pitch you can see, how you judge runs, and the sense of space on screen. Co-op provides a wider view of the pitch, making it easier to observe teammate runs and the overall formation. It is also a commonly used view among many high-level FC 27 players.

Tele Broadcast provides a view that feels closer to the players and the active match area. Since a relatively smaller area of the scene needs to be rendered, it may provide a lighter visual response and better performance on some devices.

When enabled, Power Shot Zoom suddenly brings the camera closer during a Power Shot. This can affect visual awareness and may cause brief visual disruption when an opponent suddenly uses a Power Shot, so turning it off is recommended.

Camera Shake is recommended to be turned off. If you do not like camera movement during FUT 27 matches, disabling it makes the picture more stable. Options such as Grounds and Pro Camera mainly depend on personal preference and can be adjusted according to the mode you play.

Visual Settings

Connection Monitoring is recommended to be set to Contextual. This only displays connection information when a problem occurs, rather than keeping it on screen. If you want to monitor FIFA 27 ping throughout a match, Always On is another option.

Input Overlay is not essential for most FUT 27 players and can be turned off. Score Clock is recommended to use the standard display rather than the dropdown style. Measurement System can be set to metric or imperial according to regional preference.

Tactical Chalkboard is mainly used to observe formation changes during FC 27 matches. If you frequently adjust tactics or formations, you can enable this option along with Tactical Suggestions Notifications.

Ultimate Team Gameplay Notifications can display objectives or related progress, making it easier to keep track of completed content. PlayStyle+ Overhead Indicator provides a clearer way to see whether a FIFA 27 player's PlayStyle+ is being activated. Next Player Switch Indicator can be turned off to avoid having too many additional prompts on screen.

For Graphics, turning off Player Shadows and Stadium Shadows may improve responsiveness during FUT 27 matches, although some visual quality will be lost. If you prioritize control feedback and smooth performance, these two options are worth testing.

If you do not want FC 27's visuals to drop too much, you can turn off only Stadium Shadows while keeping Player Shadows enabled. This usually offers a reasonable balance between visual quality and performance.

There is no fixed set of EA FC 27 settings that works for every player. If you are still getting used to FUT 27, keep the assistance settings you are familiar with and gradually make adjustments once you understand the new gameplay rhythm.

Planning for Ultimate Team's starter squads is entering its final stages. Beyond ratings, pace, and PlayStyles, the new season's chemistry adjustments will also influence starting lineup choices - particularly for players accustomed to building hybrid squads using Heroes and ICONs.

In its launch update, EA confirmed that FC 27 will reduce some of the chemistry contributions that ICONs and Heroes provide to their teammates. While these may seem like minor numerical tweaks, they will directly affect common hybrid squad-building strategies.

Chemistry Changes

ICONs still automatically receive full chemistry when played in their correct positions and continue to provide a +1 contribution to all leagues; however, their nation contribution has been reduced from +2 to +1.

Heroes also automatically receive full chemistry in the correct position and maintain a +1 nation contribution, but their league contribution has dropped from +2 to +1. The new Hall of FUT players introduced in FC 27 follow chemistry rules similar to those of Heroes.

EA also plans to reduce the frequency of boosted chemistry on other special items. While some future campaign items may still receive extra chemistry, the specific cards have not yet been revealed.

Hero Nerf

One of the greatest advantages of using Heroes in squad building was their ability to boost the chemistry of teammates from the same league, thanks to their higher league contribution.

With FC 27 reducing this bonus from +2 to +1, Heroes themselves can still easily reach full chemistry, but their ability to assist teammates is significantly diminished. Squads that previously just managed to cross a chemistry threshold may now fall short by a single contribution point.

This change is particularly noticeable in hybrid squads. Previously, if a lineup had only a few Premier League players, adding a single Premier League Hero might have been sufficient; now, you might need to add another Premier League player or bridge the gap using manager, nation, and club links.

Consequently, when selecting Heroes in FC 27, it is more important than ever to focus on the card's individual strength.

Hero cards with excellent pace, PlayStyles, positional versatility, and in-game performance remain worth using; however, if you are spending a large amount of FIFA 27 coins solely for Chemistry, the value proposition needs to be reconsidered.

ICON Chemistry

Nation contribution provided by ICONs has also dropped from +2 to +1, making it harder than before to use them to boost Chemistry for players from the same nation.

This change most significantly affects players from less popular leagues. Previously, players could quickly gain Nation Chemistry by linking with an ICON from the same country; in FC 27, additional connections are often required.

Especially during the early game when FC 27 coins are scarce, constantly swapping players across multiple positions just to fix Chemistry can easily drive up the total cost of the squad.

However, since ICONs still provide a +1 contribution to all leagues, they remain flexible options for multi-league squads. Unlike Heroes, which tend to favor specific leagues, ICONs are still great for linking different leagues - even if the impact of Nation link has diminished.

Hybrid Squad Impact

Single-league squads are relatively less affected. If your starting XI is already concentrated within the same league, club, or nation, a reduction in contribution can usually be compensated for by other connections.

The pressure is more noticeable for hybrid squads.

Multi-league squads require allocating limited roster spots to different leagues. Previously, Heroes and ICONs helped minimize the number of players needed to satisfy Chemistry requirements, freeing up slots for high-performance cards; with FC 27's reduced contributions, that flexibility is curtailed.

This could also affect the transfer market during the early game. Gold cards with links to popular leagues, nations, or clubs will play a larger role in assembling Chemistry. When stats are comparable, players who help solve squad connection issues often offer greater practical value.

Chemistry Tips

During the early game, you can build the core of your squad around a single league and then fill a few key positions with players from other leagues. This way, even with reduced Hero contributions, swapping out a single card is less likely to disrupt your entire Chemistry setup.

Club links will also become more practical. Players from the same club can often satisfy multiple connection requirements simultaneously, offering a more stable solution for squads that are just shy of the necessary contribution thresholds, compared to constantly relying on special cards to fill gaps.

Heroes are best utilized as powerful starters that provide Chemistry as a bonus, rather than being acquired at a high cost in FUT coins solely to serve as connection tools.

ICONs still work well in multi-league setups, but if you are relying on one to help a specific nation, check how much Chemistry support the rest of your squad and manager can already provide before locking in the lineup.

This prevents the scenario where, after assembling the squad, you discover a key player is one level short of full chemistry.

Boosted Chemistry Cards

EA has indicated that it will be more cautious about granting boosted chemistry to Campaign Items and other special items in FC 27. As the chemistry contributions of standard Hero and ICON cards have been reduced, sources of extra chemistry will become scarcer overall.

If future campaign cards receive superior chemistry bonuses - whether for leagues, nations, or other categories - their value for squad building could significantly surpass that of standard special cards, as they would reduce the squad's reliance on additional connections.

However, while EA has confirmed it will curb the proliferation of boosted chemistry, it remains unclear exactly which event cards will receive these enhancements. Consequently, squad planning during the early game phase should still prioritize the existing chemistry rules.

Hero and ICON cards will continue to be vital assets in Ultimate Team, even though their efficiency in boosting teammates' chemistry has declined.

For players who enjoy building hybrid squads, FC 27 will place greater emphasis on balancing leagues, nations, and clubs; during the early game, there will be little room to waste any spot in the starting lineup.
