Diablo 4 Season 6: What Benefits Can Free Spiritborn Trial Bring To The Game?
Recently, Diablo 4 has launched a number of new events, including the limited-time Free Spiritborn Trial. During this event, not only can you play Spiritborn to your heart’s content, but the game itself will also benefit from it.
The end of 2024 also represents the arrival of Christmas and New Year. In such a period surrounded by festive atmosphere and holidays, in order to give you the opportunity to kill time through games, Diablo 4 seized the opportunity and launched multiple holiday events at the end of Season 6.
Among them, there is not only Slay Ride To Hell event where you can earn generous rewards including Diablo 4 Gold by chasing goblins, but also Free Spiritborn Trial that allows you to experience the new class Spiritborn for free. Outside of this event, you must own Vessel of Hatred DLC to play Spiritborn.
However, I don’t know if you have noticed that the launch of Free Spiritborn Trial can not only provide you with convenience but also has many benefits for Diablo 4 itself-sometimes, free is the best way to promote. Based on this, we will introduce you to what these benefits include.
Further Increase The Popularity Of Spiritborn
As a new class launched with DLC in October this year, Spiritborn has attracted the attention of many fans even before it was officially launched. But later, if you pay attention to the feedback from players in the game community, you will find that Spiritborn is a little too powerful, which ruins the experience of players playing other classes.
Undoubtedly, this is not conducive to the development of Spiritborn. Therefore, the game developers of Diablo 4 not only made adjustments to Spiritborn in the mid-term update of Season 6 and patch 2.1 PTR, but also recently launched Free Spiritborn Trial, so that you will want to abandon your prejudice and experience this new class.
In fact, Spiritborn is also a completely unique class in the current Diablo series. It is marked by the use of two-handed weapons such as Glaives, Polearms, or Quarterstaves, and has become an important addition to Diablo 4 through its own versatility and excellent fighting style.
It is worth mentioning that if you were hesitant about whether to own Vessel of Hatred DLC before, this free trial is likely to make you make up your mind through the outstanding performance of Spiritborn.
Effectively Counter Path Of Exile 2
As a strong competitor of Diablo 4 in ARPG field, POE 2 released its early access on December 6 not long ago. Although POE series may not be as well-known as Diablo the former’s increasingly prominent performance in recent years is completely worthy of Diablo’s vigilance.
If you have played Path of Exile 2, you will find that it not only borrows from the entire Diablo series but also improves some of the main functions. Although Diablo 4’s current loot mechanism may be better and has the advantage of being more easily accepted by different player groups, POE 2 has a better hardcore experience and is more likely to resonate with ARPG fans.
Therefore, in the face of this tense competitive situation, the launch of Free Spiritborn Trial will be a powerful move. While this may not attract many Path of Exile 2 players to switch to Diablo 4 immediately, it may at least make more people curious about Spiritborn and Vessel of Hatred, or attract old Diablo 4 players who were previously unsure whether DLC was worth it to return.
In short, although POE 2 is a strong competitor, it still has room to grow. Therefore, Diablo 4’s advantage at present is that it can provide you with additional content, and free experience of some of the best features, such as Free Spiritborn Trial, may bring you a significant improvement in the game experience.
Warming Up For Season 7
As you know, each season of Diablo 4 lasts about 3 months, so Season 6 will end soon, and Season 7 is expected to be launched in mid-January 2025. Not long ago, the 2.1 PTR patch of Season 7 brought you a lot of shocking content, including some changes around Spiritborn.
It is expected that in Season 7, Spiritborn will receive one or two enhancements in terms of skills, such as more Thorns damage and rapidly increasing Vigor generation. However, since Spiritborn is still too powerful compared to other classes, it will receive a lot of key nerfs in Legendary Aspects and Spirit Halls.
Although these nerfs may cause Spiritborn to be at an all-time low, they will slightly enhance other classes and make the class mechanism of the entire Diablo 4 Season 7 present a more balanced situation.
The launch of Free Spiritborn Trial at this time provides you with an opportunity to experience the changes of Spiritborn in advance, so that you and most players will think that they will enter Season 7 more smoothly. This will undoubtedly build momentum for Season 7 in advance and keep Diablo 4 stable in the top few in ARPG field when 2025 comes.
If the above content makes you more interested in Free Spiritborn Trial, then why not enter Diablo 4 Season 6 now to experience it! I wish you a happy game!

Diablo 4 Season 11 Sanctification System Guide | How It Works, Risk & Best Uses
In Diablo 4’s latest Season of Divine Intervention, the developers have completely revamped the existing item crafting system, including Tempering and Masterworking. But alongside this, a new crafting mechanism has arrived: Sanctification system, which provides a final, irreversible upgrade to your items.
Based on its performance in D4 S11 PTR, this system can maximize the potential of every build option. Therefore, understanding how it works and the precautions to take when using it, as explained in this guide, is crucial for creating a complete and powerful mainstream character build in the new season.
About Sanctification
According to the official announcement, Sanctification is a new gear upgrade system added in Season 11. However, players in the community tend to refer to it as a one-time celestial infusion, as each item can only undergo this process once, but it provides transformative bonus effects.
Incidentally, the term one-time here doesn’t just mean you can only perform Sanctification once; it also means you cannot further Temper, Masterwork, or Enchant the item after this step. You can only modify it by adding socketable Gems and Runes.
How It Works?
In the latest game content, there are two ways to Sanctify Diablo 4 items.
Before Entering Torment
After entering D4 Season of Divine Intervention, you can obtain the opportunity to use Heavenly Anvil for Sanctification by participating in world events containing Lesser Evils, such as Helltide Events and Nightmare Dungeons, and defeating the bosses within them.
It’s important to note that successfully completing a boss encounter grants you one opportunity to use Anvil. If you abandon the encounter, the opportunity will not be saved; you will need to defeat another Lesser Evil to gain another chance to interact with Heavenly Anvil.
After Entering Torment
After reaching Torment difficulty, players unlock a powerful new way to enhance their characters: Heavenly Sigils, which introduces an additional progression layer designed to greatly boost your combat potential in late-game content.
Heavenly Sigils can be earned through multiple seasonal activities, including defeating major bosses such as Astraroth, Belial, and Bartok, as well as completing designated seasonal tasks and in-game events.
Under this system, you can add the following potential modifications to items:
- Add Affixes: all skill ranks +1, increased attack speed, or reduced cooldown time, etc.
- Upgrade Affixes: Upgrade the existing affix to a Greater Affix.
- Replace Affixes: Select one affix from Sanctification Affix pool randomly to replace an existing affix, which may result in either a buff or a debuff.
- Add Legendary Aspect: An additional Legendary Aspect can be added to the item; Unique, Ancestral, and Mythic items remain compatible.
- Add Quantity: It will randomly add an extra 5-25 Quality points.
In addition to the changes already confirmed above, during testing on Season 11 PTR, very small number of instances occurred where players received unique or legendary power bonuses. However, the developers did not include these in the official patch notes regarding Sanctification. This might be a small Easter egg? We don’t know for sure.
Although the replacement of desirable affixes with undesirable ones doesn’t happen very frequently in actual testing, to be on the safe side and minimize losses from failed sanctification attempts, it’s recommended that you create a backup before performing this operation on high-value game items.
Can Get The Best Possible Improvement?
It’s basically possible. Because players complained during PTR about the completely unbalanced drop rate of rare affixes, and the developers subsequently adjusted the chances of obtaining rare affixes, you will have a higher chance of obtaining more valuable affixes and power bonuses when sanctifying items in Diablo 4 Season 11.
When Can Sanctify?
Given that the modifications made to your items through the Sanctification system are irreversible and potentially risky, the timing of when you choose to Sanctify is crucial. It is recommended that you perform Sanctification as the final step in upgrading your items: first Temper, Enchant, Masterwork, and imprint Aspect, and only then Sanctify.
The above is a general overview of the new Sanctification system in Diablo 4 Season 11: Season of Divine Intervention, along with important tips for using it. Overall, this crafting system is very similar to the way currency is used in Path of Exile series, with which it has long competed; both involve high risk but high reward.
This time, the two giants of ARPG genre not only competed in terms of game content, but also in the timing of their new season/league releases: they each released brand-new game content less than a day apart to attract more players, which is unprecedented. So let’s look forward to it together!
Sanctification can grant you extremely powerful equipment upgrades, or it can provide only very mediocre improvements. However, regardless of how the item is consecrated, it will become an important part of your powerful character build. Looking at this crafting system outside of the game content itself, it can very effectively promote the diversity of builds in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 Season 11 VS. Path Of Exile 2 0.4.0: ARPG Giants Collide With Back-To-Back December Releases!
Two ARPGs are about to release updates. Yes, that's right, Diablo 4 Season 11 and Path of Exile 2 0.4.0. This is truly a clash of titans, surprising all players.
As the two largest ARPG games on the market, they have consistently released new content since their launch to meet player expectations. Based on past release trends, Diablo 4 is usually released around the same time as Path of Exile 2 to avoid distracting ARPG players.
Both games have accumulated a considerable number of loyal fans over the years, but they inevitably compete with each other. Therefore, it's common to see players of both games comparing their opinions online, deeming each other's games inferior, while others play both.
Release Dates
Diablo 4 updates and new seasons typically launched on Tuesdays at 10 AM, with a roughly one-month gap between releases and PoE 2. However, this time Diablo 4 is breaking with tradition with a delayed release. Season of Divine Intervention will launch on Thursday, December 11th at 8:30 PM (Pacific Time).
Meanwhile, Path of Exile 2 0.4.0 The Last of the Druids will launch on December 12th at 11 AM (Pacific Time). This means the two games will be released only one day apart.
Key Updates for Both Games
Diablo 4 Season 11
Diablo 4 Season 10 mechanics were widely praised, earning rave reviews from many players. However, Season 11 faces a serious challenge; failing to deliver a satisfactory experience will likely draw criticism from online communities.
Therefore, Diablo 4 Season 11 has undergone what is arguably its largest update to date. The two main mechanics are Divine Gifts and Sanctification.
Divine Gifts unlock passive character abilities, similar to the Chaos Powers mechanic in Season 10. Sanctification is a new addition to the item upgrade system, allowing players to modify Diablo 4 items and imbue them with Sanctified Powers to achieve their final form.
In addition, the game's monster difficulty mechanics have been adjusted. Azmodan will become the new permanent World Boss, leading other Lesser Evils to invade Sanctuary.
POE 2 0.4.0 Patch
The most significant changes in this Path of Exile 2 update are the introduction of classes and new leagues. Patch 0.4.0 introduces the game's first hybrid Strength and Intelligence class-Druid. Players can use Animal Talismans to switch between four forms.
The patch also adds Fate of the Vaal as a new league mechanic, incorporates Abyss into the core gameplay, adjusts monster density and endgame rewards, reduces the number of high-level monsters but increases XP and HP gain, as well as the drop rate of PoE 2 currency. These changes are all aimed at adjusting the game's balance and improving its performance, thereby meeting players' expectations.
Which Game Should You Play First?
The close release dates of these two large-scale ARPGs have forced players to choose which game to experience first.
Some players believe that the release date of Diablo 4's new season, precisely one day before PoE 2's, was intentional, aimed at siphoning away Path of Exile 2 players. However, I think this only applies to players torn between the two games. For those who only love one, it won't have much impact; they'll firmly choose the new season of their preferred game.
For players wavering between the two games, their choice is uncertain. Interestingly, in the comments section of these posts, someone suggested completing Diablo 4 before and then switching to Path of Exile 2, a suggestion that received a lot of support.
Most players feel that Diablo 4's content is too monotonous, with limited class variety. The days leading up to each new season update allow players to experience most of the content, making it boring, especially the endgame content, which has drawn much criticism.
Path of Exile 2, on the other hand, offers much richer content, with every aspect from character creation to combat being engaging. The new classes added in patch 0.4.0 have also attracted considerable attention.
However, some players believe that the release time for both games is more than enough; you can play both, so there's not much to compare. If you have limited time and energy, you can choose Diablo 4, as PoE 2's pace is relatively slower.
Was The Close Release Timing Intentional?
The clash in release dates for these two games could be attributed to Diablo 4's poor planning or coincidence, but it's also possible it was deliberately arranged by the developers, as The Game Awards 2025 also aired on December 11th.
Based on previous hints from the game developers, many fans speculate that Diablo 4 might announce DLC 2 during the awards ceremony, and there have been rumors that Paladin class will also be joining D4.
If this is true, using the awards ceremony as a springboard for Diablo 4 would be a huge marketing opportunity, and the addition of a new class in the new season could attract industry-wide attention and a large influx of ARPG players, potentially impacting Path of Exile 2.
Meanwhile, in the past, PoE 2's official updates have always chosen to avoid clashing with Diablo 4's new season, usually releasing new content only after Diablo 4 season's peak popularity has ended. This is because Diablo 4's developers, as a large company, have a large casual player base and sufficient funds for extensive marketing.
PoE 2's studio financial resources cannot compare to Diablo 4's, so they have always chosen to avoid direct competition. However, this time, Path of Exile 2's developer releases have unexpectedly chosen to directly confront Diablo 4.
In short, whether the clash in the release dates of these two games is a coincidence or a deliberate arrangement remains to be seen. However, it has certainly caused quite a stir, generating significant discussion for both games. So, which game will you choose to start your December with?
Diablo 4 Season 11 Top 3 Druid Endgame Builds: Boulder, Cataclysm & Pulverize
Diablo 4 is about to receive its new season update in a few days, and many players are eagerly anticipating it. The season's background primarily revolves around the return of Lesser Evils, with Azmodan leading other demons to attack Sanctuary. Players must use the power of Divine Gifts to protect the world.
With the redesigned monsters and enemies, as well as the addition of unique items in the new season, players can no longer rely solely on brute force; appropriate strategies and suitable equipment are now essential
Below, I will recommend what I consider to be the three strongest Druid builds in Season of Divine Intervention, hoping to help you reduce the cost and effort of trial and error in the game and prepare for the endgame exploration.
1. Boulder Druid Build
This is a highly recommended build, well-suited for late-game events.
Gear
First and foremost is the most important piece of equipment-Dolmen Stone, which you can obtain from chests in Helltide Events.
Dolmen Stone has a unique effect: when you activate Hurricane skill, a giant boulder rotates around you. Each rotation increases Boulder's damage by 20-40%. You can activate up to 10 boulders simultaneously, meaning you can gain up to 400% extra damage and make your gameplay much smoother.
Another important piece of equipment is Vasily's Prayer, a unique helm in Diablo 4. You can obtain it by summoning and defeating Lord Zir, and sometimes it also drops randomly from in-game chests.
It converts your Earth Skills into Werebear Skills, meaning you now have the attack power of two skills simultaneously. It also restores 2%-5% (or possibly 6%) of your Maximum Health.
While Vasily's Prayer isn't strictly necessary, it's a good choice if you want significantly greater attack and defense.
Pros And Cons
The two Diablo 4 items mentioned above are key to creating an excellent Boulder Build. This build is well-balanced; while no single aspect excels, it's solid overall, with excellent damage and defense, and no weak points.
Boulder Build is ideal for farming mobs because its skills have area-of-effect damage, making it easy to kill monsters when they get close. You can use this build in Nightmare Dungeons, paired with the new boots, for a quick run.
The only drawback of this build is its heavy reliance on Diamonds and the need for enhanced base affixes.
Overall, while this build has some minor issues, its strength shouldn't be underestimated. If you want a stable, reliable, and low-risk endgame build, Boulder Build is a good choice.
2. Cataclysm Druid Build
This build has a significant advantage over other top-tier builds, with virtually no comparable competitors, making it arguably the best build in the game.
Cataclysm is Ultimate Storm skill in Diablo IV. Casting this skill summons multiple Tornados and Lightning Bolts that randomly target and damage enemies. It has been popular with many players since its buff in Season 7.
Gear
The essential component of this build is MjOlnic Ryng, a unique ring obtained by summoning and defeating Lair Boss. It provides a damage bonus during Cataclysm's active duration and also grants Lightning Bolt buff, resulting in impressive damage output.
It also increases the duration of Cataclysm's damage, which is crucial for the skill, as the damage duration must be longer than or nearly equal to the cooldown, allowing for continuous skill casting.
Another key piece of equipment is Tempest Roar, a unique helm obtained by defeating Duriel or Andariel, or as a chest drop.
With this helmet, we can transform Storm Skills into Werewolf Skills, gaining two skills simultaneously. He can also enhance our ultimate skill, granting us passive effects related to Werewolf Skills from Skill Tree and Legendary Aspects.
Other gear that helps this build includes:
- Airidah's Inexorable Will: Reduces ultimate skill cooldown;
- Khamsin Steppewalkers: Maintains maximum speed at all times;
- Runeworker's Conduit Aspect: Grants Lightning Bolt 40% bonus damage.
Pros And Cons
This build's monster-killing speed is unmatched, allowing you to easily and quickly defeat enemies. It's the best choice for Nightmare Dungeons and the open world, where you can farm a large amount of gear.
The only drawback of this build is its slightly weak defense, but methods to improve defense should be found as the season progresses. Otherwise, it has no weaknesses and is highly recommended.
3. Pulverize Druid Build
Most players are already familiar with this build, frequently seeing it on recommendation lists. As a build with the highest damage output and excellent overall performance, it's worth recommending again.
Gear
The first piece of equipment recommended for this build is Rotting Lightbringer, an Ancestral Unique Two-Handed Mace that may drop in Urivar or Varshan.
It's a unique weapon that significantly enhances Werebear Pulverize skill. If there are no puddles nearby, Pulverize skill will create a toxic puddle, triggering Overpower. Releasing the skill on the toxic puddle will cause the poison to splash, damaging the surrounding area.
Next, to maximize damage, you must use Aspect of the Ursine Horror, which converts your Pulverize ability into an Earth Skill.
This enhancement deals massive area-of-effect damage to enemies. After using Pulverize skill, Tectonic Spikes will inflict continuous damage over a short period.
Pros And Cons
While this build wasn't as effective at clearing mobs as the other two in the past, the new season introduces Path of the Emissary Boots, which provide maximum movement speed, making Pulverize Build stronger.
The main reason for recommending this build is its faster leveling and skill point unlocking. Clearing Pit 100 with Pulverize build shouldn't be a problem. Its biggest drawback is a slightly slower mob clearing speed compared to the other two builds; otherwise, it's perfect.
These are the three Druid builds we recommend in endgame exploration. You can start the new season with Pulverize Build, as it balances defense and offense. Then, after leveling up quickly, choose a more suitable build for your needs.
We hope this guide is helpful. Let's look forward to Season of Divine Intervention!
Diablo 4 Season 11 Season Of Divine Intervention Breakdown | Major Changes, Additions & Full Update Overview
Breaking news! Diablo 4 Season 11, Season of Divine Intervention, is scheduled to officially launch on December 11th at 8:30 PM Pacific Standard Time. In this new season update, in addition to the brand-new season mechanics and new content, many existing systems and content have also undergone significant changes.
In this Season of Divine Intervention, Lesser Evils have returned to Sanctuary, wreaking havoc and causing chaos, with the new boss Azmodan personally commanding the battle. At this time, an unbound angel descends, bestowing Divine Gifts upon you and others resisting the demonic invaders to aid in the fight.
In this context, the crafting process for Diablo 4 in-game items has undergone a major permanent update, and the new season content will make your path to fight new monsters much smoother. Next, we will provide a detailed overview of all the noteworthy changes and additions in D4 S11.
Changes
First, we’ll introduce the changes to the original content. It’s worth noting that some of this content is almost identical to what was released in S11 PTR, so EZG.com won’t go into too much detail here, but will only focus on some particularly important aspects.
Tempering & Masterworking
These two changes to Diablo 4 crafting system caused a huge stir in PTR. They will allow many smiths in Sanctuary to craft more weapons, armor, and other wearable gear with greater combat potential, making your exploration in the new season even more unique.
After the improvements, Tempering is more effective than before, and there will be no more abuse or indiscriminate use; while in Masterworking, you will have a clearer and more linear D4 items upgrade path, allowing players to improve their strength more directly.
Throughout Tempering and Masterworking changes, the developers have intentionally increased the customization players have when creating their desired gear: specified Tempering Affixes are easier to obtain, and Masterworking can directly provide you with more perfect build options.
Monster Battle Mode
Many players believe that the changes to the monster combat system in Diablo 4 Season 11 are a harbinger of an increased game difficulty, but frankly, it’s simply following the trend of modern RPGs. With advancements in technology, players can easily lose interest in pure PvE games, so D4 modifies existing enemies to attract a wider new player base.
For example, in combat, the monsters you face will react more precisely and quickly in order to inflict the most severe damage on you. This requires you to formulate your next course of action based on this reaction and find ways to make your character more mobile and deal more damage. In addition, each monster will have a clear role and a unique personality in battle, which will make them more dynamic.
Furthermore, the developers have added over 20 new monster affixes in Diablo 4 Season of Divine Intervention, and each elite enemy will summon minions with certain affixes, making them stronger and harder to defeat than regular minions. Some of the original monster affixes have been moved to Torment difficulties, increasing the risks you’ll face later.
Most importantly, the probability of monsters appearing in large groups in the game will decrease, so your character’s wide-area damage may be less effective, and the chance of eliminating them will also become smaller. However, you are still very likely to encounter groups of elite monsters, which you can use to control and eliminate them to farm some loot.
Defense Systems
In Season 11 of Divine Intervention, the developers have completely revamped your defense system in the game. The most exciting addition is Toughness attribute, which represents the total amount of damage you can withstand from each type of damage after considering all damage reduction methods. This will better balance the effective health of different classes and builds.
Additionally, a rank system has been added to Armor and Resistances: the higher the rank, the lower the attribute values you can have. However, Armor can now reduce all damage taken, including the newly added Physical and Non-Physical damage. Under this effect, all Paragon Nodes and Skills that provide various damage reductions will now multiply your armor or all resistances.
In addition to your own defensive capabilities, external healing potions have also been improved: the base potion capacity has been reduced to 4 bottles, and the healing effect has been changed to an instant percentage-based healing, which will restore 35% of your health immediately. If you don’t have any potions with you before entering an encounter, you will slowly regenerate one potion every 30 seconds.
In later game content, your potions can no longer be upgraded directly; you will need to go to Alchemist to obtain potions with stronger recovery and healing abilities. In view of this, Fortify’s effect has changed from damage reduction to an additional health reserve, which is continuously consumed to restore your health.
Finally, new accounts registered in Season 11 will not be able to use Welcome Back Booster. For some veteran players, this feature is still available, but only in Training Grounds. This offer is valid until the end of Season 10, so please check back as soon as possible.
Additions
Now for the most exciting part! In Diablo 4 Season 11, the developers have prepared a wealth of new content for all players, such as new bosses, season mechanics, Uniques, and numerous challenges. Please read on for a detailed introduction.
Boss - Azmodan
In this new season, Azmodan has been added to Diablo 4 as a brand new boss that you can challenge. It will appear in Season Rank V capstone dungeon, and you can initiate an encounter with it by activating three Summoning Altars in a special location in Hawezaar near Zarbinzet.
It’s worth noting that each Summoning Altar grants the boss the power of one of the other three Lesser Evils. This means that the monsters that appear because of it will also have affixes related to their corresponding Lesser Evil: Belial will summon a giant eyeball to blind you, and Duriel will summon a giant egg, which will hatch maggots and launch a continuous attack on you if not popped in time.
After defeating Azmodan, you can use Corrupted Essence to find a treasure chest in this area containing extremely valuable loot and a large amount of D4 Gold. In addition, this boss has also been added to Party Finder, making it easier for you to explore when you’re in a team.
Season Mechanism - Divine Gifts
In Season 11, Angel Hadriel returns to Sanctuary and bestows upon you a small portion of what High Heavens possess, called Divine Gifts, to combat the more dangerous Lesser Evils. Each Divine Gift contains three items: a Reward, a Corrupted Gift, and a Purified Gift. Placing them in different positions on Divine Gifts panel will grant different buffs or debuffs.
New Unique Items
Similar to previous season changes, D4 has introduced a brand new Unique feature for each class this season, primarily designed to diversify your combat styles and approaches. Most importantly, each character’s build options also need to be diverse.
- Barbarian - Chainscourged Mail (Unique Pants)
- Druid - Khamsin Steppewalkers (Unique Boots)
- Rogue - Death’s Pavane (Unique Pants)
- Necromancer - Gravebloom (Unique One-handed Mace)
- Sorcerer - Orsivane (Unique One-handed Mace)
- Spiritborn - Path of the Emissary (Unique Boots)
Challenge Content
In addition to the above-mentioned new content, Diablo 4 also adds some new challenges. For example, Capstone Dungeon, which is part of a completely new system. There are currently 5 Capstone Dungeons waiting for you to conquer:
- Vault of the Crucible - Hard
- Hellish Descent - Penitent
- Enclave of Darkness - Torment I
- Den of the Apostate - Torment II
- Breach of Sin - Torment III
Also, The Tower is expected to be added in patch 2.5.2, and it will be unlocked after completing Rank 2 of Season Rank. Once inside the Tower, you can choose from unlocked Abyss difficulty levels to challenge it.
The above is a detailed overview of some of the major improvements and new content in Diablo 4 Season 11, Season of Divine Intervention, which launched on December 11th. Starting with S11 PTR, the developers have listened carefully to player feedback and made corresponding modifications to many aspects, which is a very positive development.
While some dissenting voices remain, overall player feedback on this season update is quite positive. More specific effects will only be available after the official season launch, so let’s wait and see!
Diablo 4 Season 11 Whirlwind Barbarian Leveling Build Guide | Best Skills, Passives & Gear Setup
As the release date of Diablo 4 Season 11 approaches, players’ demand for guides for the new season is growing stronger. They want to prepare two sets of builds before the season starts, one suitable for leveling up and the other for endgame exploration. This will save a lot of trial-and-error time and costs, which is especially important in a game with short season cycles.
Although, based on the developer’s statements and its performance in the previously concluded PTR, the exploration of Barbarian class may still be a bit bumpy and not as smooth as that of the Necromancer, it still stands out in the game style that focuses on tank-type combat capabilities, because its super damage-resistant ability allows it to get through most of the game content.
Based on feedback from some players, the most powerful Barbarian build in Season 11 is Hammer of the Ancients (HOTA) build, but its leveling performance in the early game is not ideal. Therefore, EasyGaming - EZG.com strongly recommends using Whirlwind Barbarian to achieve rapid leveling and get ahead of the competition.
Simply knowing the most suitable build name isn’t enough. This guide also provides options to maximize the effectiveness of the build, allowing you to strategically farm items and craft Whirlwind Barbarian build. Please note that some options may change in the official season, so please replace them with similar ones in time.
Skill Options
To maximize a build’s combat and exploration effectiveness, the first step is to select skills that are powerful on their own but become even more powerful when used in combination. Alternatively, if you prefer a higher level of skill complexity, then choose skills with short cooldowns, continuous casting capabilities, and the ability to create a series of synergistic effects.
Given these two requirements, in addition to the core Whirlwind skill in this build, you also need Lunging Strike to accumulate Fury so that War Cry can be released as soon as possible; then choose Ground Stomp to reset Wrath of the Berserker, which will bring the enemy closer to you so that you can continue to use Whirlwind to deal damage to them.
Normally, this is how you would rotate your abilities when using Whirlwind Barbarian build in combat. For particularly difficult bosses or elite enemies, you can cast Lunging Strike every 4 seconds to gain significant damage reduction, fortify, and additional armor to protect yourself.
For the ultimate skill, we recommend Rallying Cry, which allows you to quickly eliminate enemies while drastically increasing your movement speed and resource generation rate. It’s worth noting that once you select Whirlwind and Lunging Strike skills, your weapon type can only be Two-Handed Slashing Weapon. Other types aren’t necessarily bad, but they’re less suitable.
Passives Options
After selecting Whirlwind Barbarian leveling build’s active skills, you can start selecting passive skills to enhance its damage and defense. Here are some recommended passive skills and their corresponding point allocations:
- Booming Voice: 3
- Whirlwind: 4
- Aggressive Resistance: 1
- Battle Fervor: 3
- Unconstrained: 1
- Belligerence: 3
- Pit Fighter: 3
- Heavy Hitter: 3
- Imposing Presence: 3
- Invigorating Fury: 3
- Martial Vigor: 3
- Thick Skin: 1
- Counteroffensive: 3
- Slaying Strike: 3
- No Mercy: 3
- Defensive Stance: 3
- Gutteral Yell: 3
Divine Gift Options
As a new build option in Diablo 4 Season 11, Divine Gifts grants bonuses to your Whirlwind Barbarian build when exploring certain content. Of all activities in the game, Helltides offers the highest quantity and quality of experience points and D4 in-game items, so this should be a key consideration when choosing your build.
Therefore, Essence of Squalor is your best option. It will cause Maggots in the in-game event to drop experience Globes, and the effect will be doubled after Purified, as well as provide you with a Healing Potion every 20 seconds for quick leveling up.
Uniques & Legendary Aspects
Next, we’ll introduce Uniques and Legendary Aspects suitable for placement in Whirlwind Barbarian build. Before proceeding, it’s important to note that D4 item options required for this build are all of high rarity, and you may need to invest some time and effort to farm them to effectively unleash their full potential.
For example, since both your Whirlwind and War Cry can spawn Dust Devils, a significant source of your damage, you’ll greatly benefit from Dust Devil’s Aspect to maximize your damage output. In addition, you’ll need Aspect of Might, Aspect of Disobedience, and Aspect of Numbing Wrath for decent defensive capabilities.
In addition, based on previous seasons, here are some unique items to recommend: Heir of Perdition, The Grandfather, Ring of Starless Skies, and Battle Trance to double the combat and defensive effects of Whirlwind Barbarian build in Season 11. Below is a comprehensive evaluation of Season 10 Rogue builds, from overall damage output and gear requirements to growth potential in Diablo 4 Endgame, revealing a ranking of the strongest Rogue builds this season to help you lay the foundation for your build in the new season starting December 9th.
Tier S: Top-Tier Builds
First, let's look at some top-tier builds that stand at the pinnacle of Rogue class and are the first choice for high-end players due to their outstanding overall strength. Regardless of the build type, S-tier builds offer a top-tier gaming experience, representing the highest level of Diablo 4 Rogue class.
1. Death Trap Rogue
Death Trap Rogue is one of the most outstanding builds in Diablo 4 Season 10, its core strength lying in its excellent crowd control. Through clever synergy between Death Trap and Shadow Imbuemen, it effectively creates Vulnerable status effects and inflicts devastating damage on affected enemies.
This build boasts excellent area-of-effect clearing efficiency, performing particularly well against dense groups of enemies. With mastery of its mechanics, it can even handle high-difficulty bosses.
2. Dance Of Knives Rogue
As one of the most adaptable build options, Dance of Knives Rogue demonstrates exceptional versatility during leveling and Abyss challenges.
It maintains high mobility while consistently dealing considerable damage, allowing you to ensure survival while effectively employing attrition tactics in combat. With proper equipment, this build offers extremely reliable single-target and area-of-effect damage output.
3. Flurry Rogue
This build specializes in quickly eliminating elite enemies and bosses in melee combat. Its perfect combination with Shadow and Poison Imbuements makes it outstanding in high-difficulty boss fights. For those seeking ultimate single-target burst damage, this build is undoubtedly the ideal choice.
Tier A: Elite Builds
This tier of builds possesses an excellent tactical system with strong practical value. While slightly inferior in overall strength, they demonstrate extraordinary combat potential in specific combat situations. They offer a wide variety of tactical options, making them an excellent choice for those seeking a personalized gaming experience.
1. Heartseeker Rogue
Compared to previous seasons of Diablo 4, this build has received a significant boost in Season 10. Its outstanding single-target damage efficiency makes it one of the best choices for dealing with boss fights and elite groups.
Furthermore, thanks to the adjustments to vulnerability and critical hit mechanics this season, the practical value of this build has been further enhanced.
2. Rain Of Arrows Rogue
Rain of Arrows Rogue is renowned for its devastating area-of-effect damage, effectively controlling the battlefield. It synergizes exceptionally well with both Poison and Shadow Imbuement.
While the skill rotation is somewhat reliant on cooldowns, you can buy Diablo 4 Items from EZG.com to obtain a reasonable gear setup that compensates for this limitation, making it a high-quality option.
3. Barrage Rogue
Barrage Rogue offers a diverse tactical system combining area-of-effect clearing and single-target damage. It performs admirably in mid-to-high difficulty content, but falls slightly short in top-tier Abyss challenges.
If you prefer a strategic playstyle that involves luring enemies in and ambushing them, this build will provide a unique gaming experience.
Tier B: Practical Builds
Tier B builds are still tactical combinations with development potential. With skillful mastery of controls and proper gear configuration, these builds can still deliver satisfactory combat effectiveness.
While these builds demand higher player skill and understanding of gear, they can still demonstrate considerable strength under specific conditions.
1. Twisting Blades Rogue
This once highly sought-after Rogue build was renowned for its smooth controls and powerful burst potential. Although its performance in high-level matches has declined, it still offers a fun and engaging experience in the early to mid-game.
The balance adjustments this season have indeed impacted its strength, but its unique combat style is still worth trying.
2. Penetrating Shot Rogue
Penetrating Shot Rogue excels at handling elite groups and possesses considerable single-target burst damage. With proper gear and precise positioning, this build can effectively deal with dense enemy hordes and powerful bosses.
Of course, it's worth noting that this requires excellent player skill and precise timing of skill usage.
With Diablo 4 Season 11 fast approaching, players are gearing up for new challenges. Rogue, as the game's most versatile class, is expected to continue its important role in the new season, providing players with a rich and diverse gaming experience.
Furthermore, the introduction of a ranked ladder system and leaderboards will provide a new competitive arena for high-level players, while new and unique equipment and balance adjustments will undoubtedly reshape the gameplay experience once again.
However, regardless of the changes in Season 11, the core fun of Diablo 4 will remain unchanged. You can experiment with new builds, optimize your characters, and challenge higher difficulties based on the builds mentioned above. Let's look forward to the arrival of the new season!
