Diablo 4 Season 9 Horadric Jewels are similar to Occult Gems from Season 7, and can be used with Horadric Spells. There are 15 Horadric Jewels in total, and they are not drop items, but need to be crafted.
The general content of Diablo 4 Season 9 has been almost completely revealed after Campfire Chat. This is a brand new season, but it has a familiar feel.
The special power of Season 9 is Horadric Spells. They work a little differently than in previous seasons. You can decide to some extent what kind of damage Horadric Spells will do and how they will do it. In addition, there is a Horadric Jewel similar to Occult Gems in season 7 that can further enhance the power of Horadric Spells.
Horadric Jewels are very obviously borrowed from the seasonal items in Season 7. Like Occult Gems, you can’t get these gems from dungeon drops. You need to get Horadric Tomes from rewards in Horadric Strongrooms, then unlock their crafting methods, and finally use gem fragments, Diablo 4 gold and Horadric Phials to craft Horadric Jewels.
However, they only appear in Torment difficulty, which means you can’t use them in the early game. You can equip up to three Horadric Jewels at a time, but you can’t equip the same Horadric Jewel. They don’t seem to upgrade, and the benefits they give you are fixed.
There are 15 types of Horadric Jewels, and some of them are similar to Diablo 3 gems.
Idol From Below is clearly in the Tier S category. First, it increases maximum health and core attributes, which are important for all builds. Second, its negative effect is not really a negative effect. It will randomly refresh some monsters in front of the player, and the player can use these monsters to trigger certain skill effects or refresh buffs. Finally, more monsters also mean more drops and gold.
Seal of Power will also be one of the best Horadric Jewels. Because many movement speeds are a very scarce attribute for every class, not to mention the critical hit rate. Classes like Spiritborn need critical chance and movement speed very much, so this Seal of Power will almost become a must-have.
The Starflux is a very promising Horadric Jewel. It can double the damage of Catalytic Skill, but you will inherit random elemental infusions, which will hardly have any effect in some builds.
Tyrant Bane is worth mentioning. It may not be as versatile as the above Horadric Jewels. For DoT builds, Tyrant Bane must be chosen. You can match different DoT sources to maximize its effect.
Reverie Horn, like Tyrant Bane, is not very versatile, but it can shine in some builds. Builds that can benefit from Reverie Horn are Necromancer Summoner Build, Minion Barbarian Endgame Build, and Hydra Sorcerer Build. Since both Hydra and Skeleton Mage received improvement in Season 9, Reverie Horn may be more popular than expected.
Diablo 4 Season 9’s Horadric Jewels can not make people feel fresh, but they are better than season 7’s Occult Gems because they provide the exact enhancements players need to improve the efficiency of farming gold and Horadric Strongrooms in nightmare dungeons.
Diablo 4 Season 9 will be released in a month, and it will bring changes to dungeons. There are various dungeons in Diablo 4, and some of them have unique mechanisms and rewards.
Dark Citadel is a unique dungeon, or more precisely, a Citadel. This is a multiplayer PVE Citadel. This dungeon cannot be played alone, and requires at least two players. Its rewards include gold, materials, unique items, and appearances.
Dark Citadel is part of Vessel of Hatred, and only DLC players can enter this area.
Dark Citadel is part of the endgame content. Only when you reach level 60 and the world difficulty reaches Torment I can you unlock the quest to unlock Dark Citadel: Crater of Lost Souls. After you complete this quest, you can find Dark Citadel in Kurast.
Dark Citadel consists of three parts:
These three parts are independent, and players who enter them need to cooperate with each other to solve puzzles. In this area, you will encounter some special mechanisms:
After killing guards in Khazra Treasury, you can get Citadel Coins, Khazra Horn, Murmuring Obolss. There is more than one Khazra Treasury, so look for them while exploring.
The merchant in Dark Citadel will sell some consumables, but he does not accept Diablo 4 gold, only Citadel Coins. You can earn Citadel Coins while exploring Dark Citadel.
These items can increase the amount of experience gained by the player, or improve the player’s attributes, damage, potion recovery, etc.
Dark Citadel Cache
Weapon Appearance
Armor of the Khazra
Complete Dark Citadel area quests in Torment 1-3, and the fragments of Armor of the Khazra will drop from treasure chests and bosses.
The following items will only drop on Torment 4 difficulty:
Dark Citadel is a fun raid in Diablo 4 that offers some pretty wonderful rewards as part of the endgame, so invite your friends to explore it together!
Diablo 4 Season 8 has been running steadily for a while, and it will be replaced by Season 9 in early July. This is a fairly brief season.
A lot of information about Season 9 has been released on Campfire Chat on May 22. We know that in each season, a unique item will be designed for each class, which will strengthen a certain aspect or a certain skill. Season 9 is no exception.
Currently, all 6 class unique items have been released. Let’s see which builds they strengthen.
This unique item is a boots, and its unique power is mainly to improve basic skills. This boot is undoubtedly a very versatile equipment, and you can put it into most builds, especially some farming builds or leveling builds.
Basic skills have a short CD time, and Hooves of the Mountain God can convert the damage of basic skills into AoE damage, which greatly improves the efficiency of clearing monsters and farming Diablo 4 Gold.
This unique item is a two-handed mace that primarily enhances Druid’s ability to use poison and is associated with Pulverize.
Pulverize is one of the Druid’s most common abilities, and Pulverize Druid build and Pulverize Companions build built around it both performed well in the endgame. But if part of its physical damage change into poison damage, its ability to deal damage may be reduced.
However, you can use it in Pulverize Poison Creeper leveling builds, where this unique two-handed hammer can continuously deal AOE poison damage, which is very useful for clearing out ordinary monsters.
Necromancer summon builds have been improved once again, and they have gained a new summons. To be honest, even if Necromancer players like to use summons very much, they have to seek other skills as their main force at the endgame. Because the summon build has some shortcomings that cannot be ignored, such as scattered damage and low survivability of summons.
This unique glove makes up for some of these shortcomings to a certain extent, and it should become one of the must-have equipment for summon builds. With this equipment, summon Necromancers will clear nightmare dungeons faster and farm gold and items more efficiently.
This unique helmet will undoubtedly become the focus of Rogue players. Whether it is leveling up, farming, or in the endgame, Flurry is the most commonly used skill of Rogue.
Flurry can cause multiple damage to the enemies in front of it through melee combat. This helmet can greatly enhance the damage of Flurry Rogue, allowing it to almost stably kill enemies. But Rogue has many powerful helmets, so players need to make certain trade-offs.
This is a unique amulet that primarily improves Sorcerer’s Hydra skill. Hydra is a somewhat interesting skill, but it only appears in some of Sorcerer’s fire builds and it basically means Sorcerer has to sacrifice a survival skill, so it shouldn’t provide much of a boost to Sorcerer.
This unique pair of pants boosts Spiritborn’s Thorns and Toxin damage, so it’s clear what build he’s best suited for, which is Stinger Spiritborn leveling build. Builds that rely on Toxins and Thorns can use this item, but it probably won’t be very useful in the endgame.
The unique items updated in Season 9 basically strengthen the ability of each class of farm gold in the early stages or enhance some less popular gameplay. We look forward to players’ in-depth exploration and development of these unique uses.
It’s been less than a month since Diablo 4 Season 8 was officially released, and Season 9’s content is already beckoning. Season 8’s Boss Powers are fun, but not great, and its partnership with Berserk IP is even more disappointing.
Thankfully, Season 8 is a short-term season, and Season 9 will be officially released in early July. A lot of content about Season 9 has been announced in Campfire Chat on May 22. More specific content can be experienced in PTR Patch 2.3.0 from Tuesday, May 27 to Tuesday, June 3.
First up is Horadric Spells, which, like Boss Powers, are special powers in Season 9. It differs from Boss Powers, and it is divided into three types:
You can equip one Catalyst, one Infusion, and three Arcana. Arcana is divided into three different qualities: Magic, Rare, and Legendary. Catalysts are the core of Horadric Spells, while Infusions and Arcana can change their power.
Although it is slightly more complicated than Boss Powers, the actual experience in the game must be not much different from Boss Powers, and I believe that you who have experienced several seasons must have realized this early. However, Infusions allow Horadric Spells to be more flexible in builds, which is definitely better than Boss Powers, because Boss Powers have a fixed damage type.
The new feature added in Season 9 is Horadric Strongrooms, which will appear randomly in Nightmare Dungeons. Think of them as potent micro-dungeons.
Once you enter a nightmare dungeon, you may occasionally come across a Horadric Gateway with noticeable lights and sounds. After clearing out the demons along the way, you can enter it and find Horadric Strongrooms.
After you find a Horadric Strongroom, you can choose to open Strongroom and then meet the requirements of Horadric Pillars. You need to kill monsters according to the requirements before the timer reaches zero. After meeting the requirements, you can get rich rewards, including unique items, Diablo 4 gold, and materials.
Horadric Pillars are divided into different types and different requirements. The higher the difficulty, the more Horadric Pillars will appear. High-quality Horadric Pillars have more difficult requirements and better rewards.
Although the appearance of Horadric Strongrooms is random, there are still some ways to increase the probability of their appearance.
You can choose to complete all Horadric Pillars. Each Horadric Pillar will require you to kill demons, and each demon will provide you with 2 Horadric Attunement and extend the timer by 10s.
There are also Shrines scattered in Horadric Strongrooms, which can provide you with some buffs to help you kill demons.
To leave Horadric Strongrooms, you must first defeat the boss that appears. Before you can, you choose between several Horadric caches. The more Horadric Attunement you get, the better the rewards in the treasure chest.
Season 9’s Nightmare Dungeon has not changed much, but it adds a new endgame activity. Three nightmare dungeons will be combined, and each one is more difficult than the last. You must carefully choose each affix, because the affixes of these three dungeons are stacked together.
As an upgraded version of the normal nightmare dungeon, it is more difficult and has better rewards. Besides a large amount of gold, the probability of dropping unique items here is also higher.
You must defeat the final boss Astaroth, and his three-headed hellhound mount to leave this dungeon. Astaroth and his mount have independent health bars. If you kill the three-headed hellhound in battle, Astaroth will fall to the ground and fall into a short stiffness. You can take this opportunity to deal a lot of damage to him, and then the three-headed hellhound will revive with full health.
At a certain stage in the battle, Astaroth will jump off the three-headed hellhound and besiege you with it, which will bring significant challenges.
Therefore, you need to kill Astaroth as quickly as possible in this battle, either by aiming your skills at him as much as possible, or by bursting out a lot of damage while he is down.
Nightmare Dungeons added new affixes in Season 9:
The main changes in Season 9 are concentrated in the dungeons. Although the rewards are better, the difficulty is also higher. Before challenging, players should be prepared and bring enough consumables.
Runes in Diablo 4 are an important part of many builds. Although they are not very eye-catching in your equipment, you will find that many weapons or armor can only be more flexible if they are embedded with Runewords.
Runes are one function of Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred. Players who only own the game cannot embed runes on your weapons, so how can players get those runes?
Currently, Runes are divided into two categories: Ritual Runes and Invocation Runes. Both types of runes are divided into three qualities: Magic, Rare, and Legendary. The higher the quality of the rune, the better its effect.
Ritual Runes will generate Offerings, while Invocation Runes require Offerings to work. Therefore, you need to combine Ritual Runes and Invocation Runes together to synthesize a Runeword to truly play their role. Runewords can be embedded in the slots of items such as chest armor, legs, helmets, and two-handed weapons.
Since the special powers of each Season are different, Runes that players use most often will also change. Below is the usage ranking of Season 8 Runes, with higher levels indicating that they will be frequently used in endgame builds.

Farming runes requires that you have Vessel of Hatred or have unlocked this feature. If you don’t have these conditions, you can’t farm any a rune.
Runes will drop randomly when you farm any monster, but most of the time the probability of a rune appearing is not very high, and even the highest level bosses in the game rarely drop them.
Making a legendary rune consumes a lot of Rune and Diablo 4 gold, and you will spend a lot of time on it. The good news is that there are ways in the game that allow you to get runes steadily.
The drop rate and drop quality of Elite Enemies are much higher than that of ordinary monsters, so you can look for dungeons with more elite enemies to farm.
Apparition Incursions is one of the seasonal events in Season 8. You can get Boss Powers, Spectral Ashes and Unveiler’s Oath Reputation.
After you defeat Belial, you will get a treasure chest with rich rewards, including a chance to find runes.
Whisper Caches come from Tree of Whispers. This is one of the best ways to get runes in the game. You only need to complete the tasks that appear on the map to get Grim Favors. Give 10 Grim Favors to Tree of Whispers and you will get Greater Collection Grand Caches. You can get unique items and runes on these treasure chests.
Undercity is a dungeon that only DLC players can enter. The rewards include gold, materials and runes. You need to explore Undercity as quickly as possible, otherwise you will be trapped in the dungeon.
Undercity is one of the main ways for players to get runes. You can exchange Tributes you collect here for runes or unique items. You can exchange the runes you don’t want for gold.
Lair Bosses And World Bosses are difficult, but they can provide a lot of rewards. Every time you defeat them, you can basically get some runes. The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards. In Torment 4, there may even be Legendary Runes in the drop.
In Diablo 4, other players can not only serve as combat partners, but also become trading objects. You can also initiate trades with other players. The currently known tradeable items are as follows:
You can trade the runes you want with other players with gold or weapons.
The above are all ways to farm common runes, so how to farm Legendary Runes? Collecting common runes is an important part of farming Legendary Runes. First, you need to get enough Rare Runes through the above methods, and then use the Rare Runes to synthesize them in Jeweler.
You can turn any three identical Rare Runes into another rare rune in Jeweler. You may think this is awful because it is meaninglessly consuming your runes, but it is not.
This is also a kind of gamble, since each conversion has a 15% chance of converting it into a random Legendary Rune, so the more Rare Runes you have, the more Legendary Runes you can get. The disadvantage of this method is that you can’t get specific runes.
It’s not difficult to farm Legendary Runes, but it does take a lot of time. You can start farming runes after reaching Torment difficulty, because there are more resources in Torment difficulty, which can save a lot of time.
Boss Powers in Diablo 4 Season 8 can bring significant improvements to each build. These improvements are in various aspects. Some can increase the character’s critical strike, some can increase elemental resistance, and some can cause a lot of damage to clear all monsters.
There are 24 Boss Powers in the game, including 5 Legendary Boss Powers, 9 Rare Boss Powers and 10 Magic Boss Powers. High quality does not mean good use. Some Magic Boss Powers are even more used than Legendary Boss Powers. Let’s have a look at which Boss Powers are the most useful.
These Boss Powers, whether used as Mian Boss Powers or as modifiers, will be divided into three levels: S Tier, A Tier and B Tier.
Among them, S Tier Boss Powers represent that they are very versatile in many Boss Powers, while A Tier Boss Powers can fill some weaknesses and enhance their abilities in specific builds, but they have no such effect in other builds.
If you want to use the power of B Tier Boss Powers, you need to raise it to the top level and use various skills and unique equipment to cooperate with it, but its damage limit may not be too high, so it is not recommended.

Belial’s Eye Beams is a Legendary Boss Power that allows players to drink healing potions to gain significant damage reduction and deal high damage to enemies. This Boss Power is easy to trigger and is popular for its ability to improve survivability in critical moments.
You can only carry up to 4 potions at a time, but you can upgrade the potion’s recovery amount in The Alchemist with Diablo 4 gold and materials.
Harbinger of Hatred’s Volley is triggered by attacking enemies with Vulnerability. It deals fire damage to enemies and deals more damage to Vulnerable enemies.
Since there are many ways to create Vulnerability, it is not difficult for any class. Especially for builds that are good at using Vulnerability, this skill can greatly increase damage.
This is a rare Boss Power that can be triggered when the player uses a channeled skill, which can cause Frostbite damage to the enemy and increase the damage multiplier for 1 second, and this power is more like a damage increase method.

Any build that can set enemies on fire will trigger Andariel’s Flaming Skull, and after you activate main boss powers, all of your abilities will set enemies on fire. It can increase DPS of damage over time builds.
Belial’s Eye Beams as a modifier effect will give the character an unbreakable invisibility effect for 2 seconds. This is very valuable for large-scale builds, because they can use these two seconds to recover health or channel spells.
For Rogue players, turning on this Boss Power will greatly increase the damage of his next attack.
This modifier is very popular in many builds. The player’s shadow resistance can increase critical strike rate, and critical strike rate is a valuable attribute in Diablo 4. Hatred’s Embrace’s Haste can provide you with up to 50% critical strike rate.
If the player has low shadow resistance, he can drink Elixir of Shadow Resistance, and Heady Elixir of Shadow Resistance can increase your shadow resistance by 40%. It’s crafting materials are:
As long as you kill the corresponding boss, you can unlock a Boss Power. Spectral Ashes are the special currency needed to upgrade Boss Powers.
The main way to collect Spectral Ashes is to complete the season event Apparitions Incursions. After defeating three bosses, you can claim the rewards. The rewards include Spectral Ashes, gold and equipment of different qualities.
It is recommended that you start farming Spectral Ashes after reaching Torment Difficulty. Spectral Ashes dropped in Normal Difficulty are less.
Another way is to complete Season 8 quest “A Deceitful Incursion” to earn reputation and claim some Spectral Ashes. However, this method does not meet all your requirements for upgrading Boss Power.
It is recommended that each player first cultivate S Tier Boss Powers to avoid wasting Spectral Ashes, and after all Boss Powers are upgraded to the maximum level, upgrade other Boss Powers you want to play.
It’s time to look up from the endless farming of gold and Spectral Ash in Season 8, and turn your eyes to Season 9. The developers have confirmed that Season 8 will be shorter than usual, and PTR of Season 9 will come sooner.
Diablo 4 Campfire Chat will be held at 11 pm PDT on May 22, which is about 10 pm Central Time in the United States. The developers will reveal to players about the content, plans and next ideas for Season 9.
Before the announcement of Season 8, the developers of Diablo 4 announced the roadmap for 2025. This roadmap starts from Season 7 and continues to Season 11. However, the plan map is too simple, which caused dissatisfaction among players.
However, we finally learned some of the content about Season 9 in advance. First, let’s review the content of season 9 in the roadmap:
Seasonal 9 Content
Permanent additions
Although Season 8 has only been running for less than a month, there are only about 40 days left until its end. You’ll notice that Season 8 ran a shorter time frame, just 60 days in total, while Diablo IV Season 9 will return to a more normal run time with the following tentative release dates:
There is no confirmed end date for Season 9, but it is expected to end in mid-September.
The theme for Season 9 is Sins of the Horadrim, with Season Powers being Horadric powers. The word “Horadrim” comes from Brotherhood of the Horadrim, an organization founded by Archangel Tyrael, whose main purpose is to fight against the three Prime Evils Diablo, Mephisto and Baal who were exiled to the human world.
Horadric powers may come from Horadric Cube, which is not created by Brotherhood of the Horadrim, but from a higher power.
The Horadric Cube can transform one item into another. Perhaps in Season 9, players can transform their powers into a new power, or add a new way to craft items.
In Diablo 2, Horadric Cube can transform specific items into materials for another item, and this process does not require the use of gold. This may allow players to transform their unique items that they do not need into unique items that they truly need.
Another important change in Season 9 is the change to the dungeons. This change is like the boss change in Season 8, part of it is a seasonal change, and part of it is a permanent change.
The developers claim that players will experience a very different dungeon in Season 9, and it has been revealed that the new dungeon will select affixes before entering to increase the difficulty and rewards such as Diablo 4 gold and items. This is indeed interesting, but it is hard to be called a big change, and perhaps the dungeons will have more changes.
Season 9 will also replace Battle Pass with Reliquaries. Reliquaries divide the rewards into different categories. After unlocking one category, players need to collect tokens to unlock all the rewards in this category.
Season 9 will add keyboard and mouse support for consoles, which will make the game experience better for console players.
The developers of Diablo 4 did hide some content, and the developers confirmed that they are reworking the character’s skill tree. Given their work rate, players may have to wait until Season 10 or even 11 to officially play this content. But maybe they will release some of the skill reworks they have already made in Season 9.
The standard adjustment before each season is to adjust the unique items, Legendary Aspects and class skills to weaken the most op build in the previous season. Then the developers will introduce some new unique items for each class to enhance the build they want players to play.
But since the theme power of Season 9 is Horadric powers, maybe the developers will introduce a series of new equipment in Season 9 and put them in dungeons.
Some players say that Path of Exile 2 is more fun than Diablo 4, while others say that they think the game of Last Epoch is better. For games of the same type, this comparison is normal and helps the game become better.
POE 2 and Last Epoch are not perfect either, at least they can only run on PC at present. And no matter what changes Season 9 can bring to Diablo 4, these changes will lead it in a better direction. Maybe in Season 9 or Season 10, players will think Diablo 4 is better than them.
