Genshin Impact Primogems In 5.5 Update: How Many Of This Item Can You Get?

Primogems are an important premium currency item in Genshin Impact, and every game update resets how they are obtained so that you can continue to earn them. Based on this, we will give you an estimate of the number of Primogems you can expect to get in the 5.5 update in March.

Feb 21, 2025 Author: EZG

Although Genshin Impact is currently in version 5.4, I believe you can’t wait to experience the version 5.5 update that will be released on March 26! Because in terms of playable content, the current patch relies almost entirely on limited-time events - version 5.4 did not add any new explorable areas, and the main story quests and world quests were briefly stopped after the end of Natlan storyline in version 5.3.

However, according to some 5.5 leaks, you can find that this situation may change soon. First of all, the new area will appear in Genshin Impact 5.5, as well as some new characters, and secondly, what you are most looking forward to is the various new channels that can bring you Primogems.Genshin Impact Primogems In 5.5 Update: How Many Of This Item Can You Get?

What Are Primogems?

Primogems are actually a premium currency in Genshin Impact, which can be used to replenish your Original Resin or exchange for Battle Pass levels. Because it is so precious, there are not many ways to obtain Primogems in Genshin Impact at present. Of course you can choose to exchange Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals for Primogems, but it’s more important to know that each version update will reset the way you get Primogems for you.

How Many Primogems Will Version 5.5 Bring?

The estimated number of Primogems available in Genshin Impact is based on the new playable content of the update in question, which usually includes new quests, achievements, map areas, and regular activities. It is expected that version 5.5 should provide you with about 12,875 free Primogems, which can be used to draw about 80 times in “Fate Intertwined” banner! Much more than Genshin Impact version 5.4 provides.

From the F2P source, version 5.4 only provides about 9,350 Primogems, which is equivalent to about 58 draws in the banner, because the playable content in the 5.4 patch is very small, especially compared to the additional content that may appear in 5.5.

Specific Sources Of Primogems Supply In Version 5.5

As you already know, version 5.5 will provide you with Primogems in a variety of ways, so we will introduce the amount of Primogems corresponding to each method so that you can make a Primogems farming plan that suits your schedule after entering this update.

Events & Dailies

As with every version update in the past, most of Primogems in Genshin Impact 5.5 will come from events and daily commissions. It is expected that daily commissions can provide you with up to 2,520 Primogems from March 26 to May 7, provided that you complete all commissions without missing a day. On the other hand, completing all quests that provide special resources can also bring you 2,360 Primogems. In addition, after you complete the new world quests, you should be rewarded with 330 Primogems.

It is said that a new area, Great Volcano of Tollan, will appear in version 5.5. Entering and exploring it, you will also have the opportunity to earn about 1,400 Primogems again through various tasks here, and according to reliable leaks, if you can unlock new teleports in Great Volcano of Tollan, they should also provide you with about 150 Primogems. In addition, the offering system in Natlan area that appeared in 5.3 should be expanded again in this update and bring you about 600 new Primogems.

Achievements & Activities

First, during the six weeks of version 5.5, four five-star characters will be online. You may get 20 Primogems from each of them through trial play, and secondly, you can also get 475 Primogems from new achievements.

In addition to new achievements and characters, the rewards for participating in regular activities should also include many Primogems. If you can complete these activities to the maximum in Genshin Impact 5.5, you will be able to get up to 800 Primogems from Spiral Abyss, as well as an additional 1,600 Primogems from Imaginarium Theater.

Since there is a maintenance period during the 5.5 update, you can get 600 Primogems through the compensation they provide. And through the 5.6 version live broadcast, you will be able to claim the regular 300 Primogems during this period, as well as 60 Primogems from other promo codes.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that you should also be able to get Intertwined Fate and Acquaint Fate directly, some of which come from the monthly store reset, which can help you increase the probability of drawing your favorite characters in Genshin Impact 5.5.

Additional Subscriptions

If your financial strength allows, and there are new characters you want in version 5.5, it is recommended that you earn more Primogems through additional subscriptions in addition to getting free Primogems by completing activities on time during the event.

It is estimated that if you subscribe to Blessing of the Welkin Moon service during version 5.4, you can get an additional 3,780 Primogems, which will get you about 24 additional Intertwined Fates, which is enough for you to draw 104 times in the banner. If you subscribe to the battle pass in Genshin Impact 5.5, you are expected to get an additional 1,320 Primogems.

You should be able to get a total of 112 Intertwined Fates in version 5.5 through these methods, but because some limited-time events only occur in the second stage of version 5.5, many draws may not be realized until the last stage, so you need to continue to farm Primogems.

Although you can get a lot of Primogems according to these leaked 5.5 updates, the version has not been officially launched after all, and the specific distribution of Primogems may still change by then, so it is recommended that you keep a calm mind and don’t expect too much to avoid disappointment.

Is Linnea Worth It? Genshin Impact Version 6.5 New Character Deep Dive

Genshin Impact Version 6.5 was released on April 8th. This update introduces a new character, Linnea, whom many are eagerly anticipating. She's said to further elevate already high-damage teams, opening up new possibilities for Lunar Reactions' damage ceiling.

This article will explain Linnea's skill mechanics, equipment recommendations, and whether she's worth pulling for her considerable damage output in Genshin Impact Version 6.5.

Skills

Linnea is a Geo Bow user, essentially a top-tier Lunar Crystallized support character. When you press her skill button, she summons Lumi, a small rock creature.

Lumi deals two instances of normal Geo damage every few seconds. Then, every four to five seconds, it deals Lunar Crystallized damage based on the skill multiplier. Lumi stays on the field for 25 seconds with an 18-second cooldown. Therefore, as long as you summon her every turn, her field time will reach 100%.

Her skill has another interesting use: rapidly pressing the skill button quickly accumulates rocks, allowing her to unleash a powerful Nuclear Lunar Crystallized Damage attack. This attack deals four times the damage of a single Lunar Crystallized Damage attack. After Lumi unleashes this attack, it only deals normal Geo damage, no longer inflicting Lunar Crystallized Damage.

Meanwhile, rapidly pressing the skill button also increases Linnea's Interruption Resistance. This is a bonus, but it's meaningless if you switch characters immediately afterward. Therefore, if you're about to defeat a boss or want to quickly deal high burst damage, I would choose to use the Combo Skill.

In addition, Linnea's Burst Skill also has a healing function. It heals the entire party and then continuously restores health to the current character. If Lumi isn't on the field yet, it will also summon Lumi. However, if Lumi is already on the field in any form, using Burst Skill will only extend its duration. Therefore, Linnea's skill doesn't need to be used all the time.

Regarding Linnea's passive skill, here's an important point: Linnea reduces enemy Geo Resistance by 15%. This effect increases to 30% when in Ascendant Gleam state, a very powerful and practical buff.

Furthermore, Linnea provides an energy boost based on her own defense stat. If the current character is Moonsign, that character gains the energy boost; otherwise, Linnea gains it.

Build

First, when upgrading Linnea's talents, there's no need to upgrade her basic attack. Prioritize upgrading her skill talents to increase damage, then upgrade her Burst talent to increase healing.

Linnea has good damage potential, so prioritize increasing the damage output of damage-dealing characters, as Linnea herself already provides a significant amount of support.

Speaking of stat build, generally speaking, the higher the defense, the better Lunar Crystallize buff, Element buff, damage, and healing effects. However, you also need to increase her Crit Hit, so you can prioritize Defense and Crit Hit as your main stats.

If you want to unleash burst damage every round, you can prepare an Energy Recharge stance, but I recommend prioritizing it from secondary stats. As for her artifact sets, you can choose Husk of Opulent Dreams, as it increases her personal damage.

Weapon

Next, let's talk about Linnea's weapons in Genshin Impact Version 6.5.

She has a signature weapon, Golden Frostbound Oath. Besides its very beautiful appearance, this weapon provides the wearer with a Crit Hit damage bonus, as well as a 40% bonus to Geo damage and Lunar Crystallized reaction damage.

If you keep her in a Lunar Crystallized state, almost all other teammates will receive a 20% bonus to Geo damage and Lunar Crystallized reaction damage for the entire duration. In short, it's a very strong weapon.

Actually, she's already very strong even without her signature weapon. If you want her to easily unleash bursts, you can consider using an enhanced weapon, but I think it's unnecessary in most situations.

Besides Linnea's signature weapon, she has another excellent three-star option: the high-burst Slingshot. Try not to stack her critical hit rate too high, as she can sometimes exceed it. Overall, Linnea's weapon build isn't complicated.

Value

Finally, we can discuss Linnea's value in this team and whether it's worth pulling for. If you want to pull for her but don't have enough Primogems, please buy Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals from EZG.com to exchange for Primogems.

Clearly, she's a top-tier support built for Lunar Crystallized team. Before Linnea's release, the fourth member of Lunar Crystallized-centric team, consisting of Zibai, Colombina, and C6 Iluga, was undecided, with Gorou often used as a substitute. However, it's now clear that this position is reserved for Lana.

If you have Furina on your team, you can also consider pulling for Linnea; her burst healing ability can effectively compensate for Furina's weaknesses.

If you enjoy using Luna Crystallized teams, then Linnea is generally worth considering. Even if you already have veteran Geo DPS characters revitalized by the arrival of Colombina and Luna Crystallized, she can make those teams more competitive.

This concludes our introduction to the new character Linnea in Genshin Impact Version 6.5. Does she meet your expectations? Do you think she's worth pulling for?

  • New maps: Dornman Port
  • New enemies: Watcher: Fallen Vigil
  • New events: Surveying and Mapping Studies, Rapid Capture, Where Waves Meet the Reef, Ley Line Overflow

Banners

Regarding V6.5 banners, which you're most interested in, as usual, they are divided into two phases. The first phase runs from April 8th to 28th. Phase 1 features Epitome Invocation banner, including Linnea's banner and Chasca's rerun banner. Epitome Invocation banner will also appear in Phase 2, continuing from April 28th to May 19th. Lauma and Nefer will also be returning.

The limited-time Chronicled Wish Fontaine gacha pool offers the following 5 - Star characters: Emilie, Clorinde, Navia, Sigewinne, and Lyne.

5 - Star Weapons: Absolution, Lumidouce Elegy, Silvershower Heatstrings, First Great Magic, Verdict.

Regarding character and weapon gacha pulls, you have a 50% chance of getting your desired item on your first pull. If you miss, don't worry, you'll still receive a Fate Point, which will guarantee your next pull will be the item you want. However, if you want to get your desired character quickly, you can buy Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals from EZG.com and exchange them for Primogems for a smoother gacha experience.

New Quests and New Areas

The exclusive quest for the core character Linnea, Alcyon Chapter Act 1, is also starting in this update. To learn more about Linnea's story, get ready to enter Linnea's world and make more friends.

In addition to the new characters, the 5 - Star bow weapon, Claymore Golden Frostbound Oath, will also surprise you. It's not hard to guess that this is likely Linnea's signature weapon.

Near Mondstadt, entirely new areas are slowly emerging, one of which is the port of Dornman. It served as a vital trade hub for the surrounding cities, with most commodity transactions and international exchanges taking place there.

The second is an area above the city, previously hidden and its true nature shrouded in mystery. Temple of Space is actually Asmoday's warehouse, primarily used to store various rare treasures from Teyvat. As the ruler of the sky and space, the quantity of these valuable items is often considerable.

Watcher: Fallen Vigil, a new world boss, will appear at Dornman Port. Note that the items she drops are exclusive upgrade materials required by Linnea. After you have a good grasp of the key information, get ready for battle.

New Events

V6.5 introduces four new events. Surveying and Mapping Studies require you to accurately locate targets on the map. Don't overlook clues along the way; they are all stepping stones to your success. Utilize the compass, certain landmarks, and special terrain features. The event runs from April 10th to 20th. You'll receive Primogem, Mora, Hero's Wit, Talent Book Materials, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and other Talent Level-up Materials.

Rapid Capture, themed around filmmaking, involves shooting and finalizing scenes in pre-built settings - sounds exciting! It runs from May 6th to 18th. As the lead planner, you'll need to match characters and scenes to the film's theme. The game will provide different shooting angles and lenses for you to choose from.

Storyboarding Objectives will display the stages you need to achieve. Completing all the displayed objectives will bring your filmmaking project to a successful close. If you still want to enjoy it, simply unlock Flash Cuts, and you can build your own scenes without any restrictions. Rewards remain the same as the previous event.

Where Waves Meet the Reef event runs from April 27th to May 14th. It primarily involves participating in mini-games organized by Voynich Guild, completing various combat-type mini-games, and unlocking Jahoda's dungeon. A free 4 - Star anemo bow character, Jahoda, awaits you.

Thwack'n Smack Defense Bots event involves taking up arms and bravely standing up to protect your Stronghold. To withstand attacks, equip Experimental Shield and try to defeat as many enemies as possible to achieve a high score. The awards also include Crown of Insight, Primogem, Mora, Hero's Wit, Talent Book Materials, and Weapon Ascension Materials.

Ley Line Overflow is a rerun of the event in this new version. Your goal is to successfully unlock Blossoms of Wealth or Revelation. It's worth mentioning that during the event period from May 11th to 18th, Ley Line rewards you receive will be doubled.

That concludes the list of all the updates for Genshin Impact Version 6.5 Luna VI listed in this guide. Get ready to welcome Linnea!

Luna V Is Coming! Genshin Impact 6.4 Banner Breakdown: Best Pull Choices to Avoid Wasting Primogems

Genshin Impact Version 6.4, officially named Luna V, is about to be released. This version will be significantly different from previous versions, forcing you to seriously consider whether the long-term value of your account or the short-term thrill of the game is more important.

Therefore, a wrong decision could potentially waste months' worth of Primogems, only to pull a character that looks cool but offers no benefit to your overall team composition.

This guide will provide a comprehensive analysis of all confirmed and anticipated banners in Version 6.4, including both 5-star and 4-star characters. Whether you're a free-to-play player or a seasoned player focused on efficient gameplay, you'll find a suitable strategy here.

Version 6.4 Schedule

According to official information, Genshin Impact Version 6.4 will officially launch on February 24, 2026, at 2 PM PST. Here are the release dates for the two phases:

  • Phase 1: February 24 – March 16, 2026
  • Phase 2: March 16 – April 6, 2026

Phase 1 Overview

Phase 1 will introduce the new five-star Anemo Claymore main DPS, Varka, along with a rerun banner for Flynn.

At first glance, Varka seems to be the highlight of this banner. His animations are fluid, his backstory is rich, and his kit revolves around Anemo-based elemental interactions.

However, early testing indicates that Varka's damage is only slightly above average at Conqueror 0. He can perform well with the right team composition, but his damage ceiling is lower than the top-tier super-core heroes in the game.

In contrast, Flynn offers more consistent account value. He integrates more easily into various team compositions and doesn't require the complex mechanics or elemental combinations of Varka to be effective. Therefore, overall, Flynn is superior in terms of flexibility and reliability.

What truly makes Phase 1's gacha banner stand out is its four-star lineup:

  • Bennett
  • Xiangling
  • Sucrose

Although the official four-star lineup hasn't been announced yet, current banner data strongly points to these three characters. If this lineup is finalized, then Phase 1 will be one of the most valuable banners in the recent update.

Bennett remains one of the most versatile attack support and healers in the game. Xiangling, as one of the strongest off-field Pyro-type damage dealers, remains powerful even after many years; Sucrose remains one of the best Anemo-type supports, capable of sharing Elemental Mastery and reducing Viridescent Venerer.

These characters' Constellations also provide significant and measurable power boosts:

  • Bennett's C1 removes his HP restriction.
  • Xiangling's C4 and C6 dramatically improve Pyronado's uptime and damage.
  • Sucrose's C6 provides a powerful team-wide Elemental Mastery boost.

For free-to-play players, even without pulling five-star characters, the first phase ensures long-term account improvement.

Phase 2 Overview

The second phase focuses on Cryo teams, with Skirk and Escopier being the five-star characters available.

Skirk is widely considered one of the strongest Cryo core DPS characters currently available. Her Cryo teams perform exceptionally well in high-difficulty dungeons such as Spiral Abyss, and with proper support, her damage output rivals that of top-tier DPS characters in the game.

Escopier's value increases significantly when paired with other Cryo DPS characters such as Ayaka-style; conversely, without teammates of similar attributes, her usability is greatly reduced.

The second phase's four-star lineups are significantly weaker in versatility than the first phase. Charlotte is a reliable Cryo healer; Candace's applicability is very limited, only suitable for supporting specific Normal Attack Hydro teams; and Dahlia is a completely new character, so we won't discuss her further.

This makes the second phase lineups a high-risk investment, especially for players with limited gacha resources.

Gacha Recommendations

From the perspective of overall account value at C0 tier, Skirk ranks first in Cryo damage output; Escopier performs excellently when paired with core Cryo characters; Flynn balances flexibility and stability; while Varka, also a five-star card, is at a mid-level, offering consistent strength but not the best choice for gacha pulls.

Among four-star characters, Bennett and Xiangling have unparalleled long-term value, with Sucrose closely following.

If you value long-term stability and versatile support, then the first phase of the banner is definitely not to be missed. However, if you're aiming for peak Cryo character damage output and already have sufficient resources, the second phase banner, while extremely risky, also offers immense damage potential.

History has shown that top-tier supports and off-field units are far better than most main DPS characters. Bennett and Xiangling are still meta years later. Many early hyper carries are not.

If you're still worried about not having enough resources to pull your desired character, You can buy Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals from EZG.com and exchanging them for enough Primogems to ensure you have a powerful character as soon as Version 6.4 launches.

Also launching alongside Genshin Impact Luna V is Radiant Moongecko Boss. Defeating it will drop upgrade materials needed for Varka. Experience it in the game now! Have fun!

Should You Pull in Genshin Impact Version 6.3 Phase 2? A Practical Guide

The second phase of Genshin Impact Luna IV is approaching! Are your Primogems ready? This phase not only introduces a brand-new five-star character but also includes a rerun of a popular character.

In addition, a new four-star character will be released, which is expected to severely impact players' Primogem reserves.

This guide will provide a systematic analysis of Luna IV Phase 2, covering aspects such as five-star characters, boosted four-star characters, and weapon pool configuration, to help you determine if investing in this phase is worthwhile.

Start Date

The overall duration of Genshin Impact Version 6.3 is approximately six weeks. Phase 2, as the latter half, has the following schedule:

Start Date: February 3, 2026

End Date: February 24, 2026

With the start of Phase 2, all Phase 1 characters and their exclusive weapons will be removed from the game. Therefore, players still undecided about whether to choose Columbina or Ineffa need to make a decision before February 3rd.

Currently, only one event remains in Phase 1: 2026 Lantern Rite, which will begin on January 30th and end of Phase 2. Similar to previous lantern festival events, participating will not only grant you a free 4-Star Character from Liyue region, but also Yaoyao's new outfit, Rainlit Bamboo Reverie! Get ready!

Phase 2 5-Star Characters

In this phase, Zibai will appear in the banner. Her elemental attribute is Geo, her weapon type is Sword, and the banner is called Harmonious Abundance. Players can obtain gacha pulls through limited-time character events.

Zibai is a core character in Version 6.3 Phase 2, and also a rare new 5-Star Geo main/sub DPS character in recent years. Her appearance provides more rotation and styling options for Geo teams, especially those centered on Navia.

From a positioning perspective, she's not a purely defensive character, but leans towards an offensive role with stable damage output, giving Geo teams more damage potential in long battles.

Neuvillette is another five-star Character in the banner. His element is Hydro, he uses Catalyst, and his banner name is Decree of the Deeps. He previously appeared in a previous version and has a very wide range of uses and strong adaptability. This rerun will give many players who missed out on starting this character another opportunity to strengthen their Hydro main team.

Four-Star Characters

Zibai and Neuvillette will share the same set of four-star characters in their banners:

  • Aino: Hydro claymore-user
  • Gorou: Geo bow-user
  • Illuga: Geo polearm-user

Overall, this set of four-star characters is clearly biased towards Geo, making it extremely friendly to Geo players. Gorou, a classic Geo support character, synergizes strongly with any Geo main DPS and complements Zibai well. Illuga, the first new four-star character released in this phase, is positioned as a Geo support or secondary DPS.

Aino is the only four-star Hydro character in this banner, providing continuous off-field damage and leaning more towards a supplementary role.

For Geo players or Navia mains, Version 6.3 Phase 2 is an excellent phase to add characters to your team. Zibai has very high synergy with four-star characters and is essential for Geo.

For beginners or players with limited resources, Neuvillette, who is being re-released, offers greater stability and can be used as a long-term DPS character, making her a worthwhile investment.

Phase 2 Weapons

The two five-star weapons are highly tied to their respective characters, making them suitable for players who have already decided on their main DPS build.

  • Lightbearing Moonshard - Zibai
  • Tome of the Eternal Flow - Neuvillette

The four-star weapon pool leans towards versatility and functionality, offering some upgrade value for players with limited resources. Here is the complete weapon list:

  • Xiphos' Moonlight
  • Favonius Greatsword
  • Dragon's Bane
  • Eye of Perception
  • Favonius Warbow

Phase 2 Event

Moonlit Patrol Exercise Event will be the first combat event introduced in the second half of Genshin Impact Luna IV, running from February 9th to February 23rd. Upon completion, players will receive 420 Primogems, Nod-Krai Weapon Ascension Materials, Hero's Wit, and Artifact EXP Materials as rewards.

Game Mechanics

Unlike traditional battles, you need to assemble a team of combat units and monsters capable of fighting autonomously. Once your formation is set up, you only need to wait for the battle to end. After each victory, you'll automatically enter a more difficult level, requiring you to redeploy your forces based on the monster type. This heavily tests your strategic planning.

Your Frontline Captain provides buffs to the entire team, making Captain selection and team composition equally important.

To make your team invincible, you can buy Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals from EZG.com. This allows you to exchange for more Primogems to draw the most powerful characters to serve as crucial Frontline Captains.

Character Deployment Principles

Using characters from the same Species activates a powerful synergy, increasing each character's effectiveness by 20%-30%. Therefore, prioritize characters from the same Species when drawing units.

Also, deploy melee-focused characters in the front and sustained damage-dealing characters in the back. This not only creates a natural defensive line but also prevents enemies from using area-of-effect attacks.

For Equipment optimization, prioritize using Equipment that matches the character's characteristics to gain specific bonuses. After selecting your equipment and character, the next test will be your combat strategy. Different monsters require different formations, so you can start focusing on the weaknesses of each monster and practicing targeted formations now.

That concludes all for Genshin Impact Version 6.3 Phase 2. Wish all players good luck in drawing the characters you desire!

Genshin Impact Version 6.3 Overview: New Characters, Events and More

The highly anticipated Genshin Impact 6.3 officially launched on January 14th, bringing players a wealth of exciting new content, new characters, and new challenges.

Furthermore, the annual Lantern Rite will return from January 30th to February 23rd, offering players limited-time content and rewards. Don't forget to participate!

Let's take a look at what new content Luna 4 has in store for us!

New Characters

Version 6.3 adds three new playable characters, each with unique gameplay and team synergy potential.

1. Columbina Hyposelenia

Columbina is a 5-star Hydro character. As the only surviving Moon Maiden from Teyvat, she excels at using Hydro Catalyst, making her ideal for team compositions centered around Lunar Reactions.

Her skill set focuses on support and off-field Hydro elemental casting, making her a better fit for teams built around Lunar Reactions (a new elemental reaction mechanic introduced in patch 6.3).

She's currently the focus of Phase 1 banner, and many players want to acquire her.

2. Zibai

Zibai is a 5-star Geo Sword user, positioned as the main DPS in the team, and has extremely strong synergy with Lunar-Crystallize teams.

Her primary attack method utilizes her normal attacks and special status effects from her elemental skills, allowing her to frequently deal Geo and Lunar-Crystallize damage.

Zibai will officially debut in Phase 2 and will have her own exclusive banner.

3. Illuga

Illuga is a Geo elemental support character whose weapon is the 4-star Geo Polearm.

He can function as a general Geo damage booster or a Lunar team damage booster. His skill set is well-suited for general Geo damage, but joining a Lunar team unlocks more skills. Illuga will make his debut in Phase Two, appearing as one of the banner characters.

These three new characters will inject fresh blood into players' teams. If your Primogems are limited, choose your desired characters carefully.

However, due to the randomness of banner draws, it's recommended to use Genshin Impact Top Up to help you secure your desired characters.

Map Expansion

In Genshin Impact 6.3, the expansion of Nod-Krai is a major highlight that enhances the player's gaming and exploration experience.

The official expansion adds locations such as Piramida City and Lake Amsvartnir to Nod-Krai region.

This not only provides players with opportunities to explore a new world but also introduces more resources and backstory related to the Nod-Krai region.

As with previous map expansions, reaching a certain percentage of exploration within a limited time (usually around 80 days) will reward players with a certain number of Primogems.

New Weapons and Skins

With the addition of new characters, Luna 4 introduces new weapons and artifacts.

Weapons:

  • Nocturne's Curtain Cal (Columbina's Signature Weapon)
  • Lightbearing Moonshard (Zibai's Signature Weapon)

Artifacts:

  • Aubade of Morningstar and Moon
  • A Day Carved From Rising Winds

In addition to weapons and equipment, this update also brings new skins:

  • Free Traveler Skins: Unlocked by completing Archon Quest - "True Moon";
  • Free Yaoyao Skin: Unlocked by participating in Lantern Rite event minigame;
  • Paid Neuvillette Skin: Requires 1,340 Genesis Crystals.

New Quests and Bosses

This update, themed "A Traveler on a Winter's Night," continues the story of Nod-Krai, an epilogue to Archon Quest questline.

The new Archon Quests are known as Acts 7 and 8, and the story picks up where Song of the Welkin Moon Act 6 left off. So you have to complete Act 6 to unlock the new content.

After completing the quests, players will finally face Il Dottore in an epic new battle, making his debut as a new weekly boss. Defeating him will drop unique materials that help your character ascend.

Furthermore, while exploring new areas, you may encounter a new world boss, Lord of the Hidden Depths: Whisperer of Nightmares. Defeating him may drop Ascension materials from Zibai or Illuga.

New Events

Genshin Impact 6.3 brings players a variety of events and generous rewards.

A Lanternlit Ode to the Silver Moon

During the grand Lantern Rite event, travelers will return to Liyue to participate in various mini-games:

  • Vigorous Brushstrokes

New Content

Subsequently, EZG.com provides a detailed overview of all the new content in the latest version of Genshin Impact, including banners, characters, events, weapons, and more, which will definitely enhance your gaming experience.

Banners & Characters

Like all previous updates, Genshin Impact brings players a wide variety of banner options, as well as the addition of some brand-new characters. In the first phase, Durin and Jahoda join Genshin Impact as brand new characters.

Based on current information, Durin is a 5-star Pyro Sword user, while Jahoda is a 4-star Anemo Bow user. Due to their different rarity, Durin will have a dedicated banner in v6.2, and Jahoda has a chance to appear on it as well.

In addition, Phase One will also feature Venti’s rerun banner, giving players who didn’t previously own the excellent Anemo character a chance to acquire him again. Incidentally, this banner will also include the newly released Jahoda.

For Phase Two, rerun banners for Varesa and Xilonen will be available to all players and will be available from December 3, 2025 to January 13, 2026. Here sincerely hopes you can pull these powerful 5-star characters in this new version. Good luck!

New Weapons

In addition to the new characters and banners, the developers have also added three new weapons in this new version. Two of them will be available to players as weapon banners, and the other will be given as a reward in an event.

  • Athame Artis: This is a 5-Star Sword, exclusive to Durin, and it will appear in the banner of the first phase.
  • The Daybreak Chronicles: This is a 5-Star Bow exclusive to Venti, and it will also appear in the banner of the first phase.
  • Serpent’s Rain Bow: This is a 4-Star Bow available to all characters using this weapon type and can be obtained by participating in new Soulblazers’ Snowbound Journey Event.

By the way, the second phase of the version will feature two weapon replay banners: Peak Patrol Song and Vivid Notions. It’s worth noting that this version contains a large number of banners, and most of the powerful characters and weapons require Wishes system to obtain.

Therefore, it’s recommended that you can buy enough Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals to exchange for tons of Primogems for Gacha, it will save you a lot of hard work.

New Quests

In this update, the developers have provided all players with four different missions: two Archon Quests, one character story mission, and one mission to unlock buffs. Details are as follows:

A Nocturne of the Far North Archon Quest

This is the fifth act of Archon Quest that you must complete in Nod-Krai, which requires your Adventure Rank to be 40 or higher.

Melting Moonlight in the Morning Mist Archon Quest

This quest follows the previous Archon Quest and still requires you to reach the specified rank.

Durin Story Quest - The Magic Known as Storytelling

This is a story quest exclusive to the newly added Durin character, allowing you to learn more about her. Complete this quest after Version 6.2 goes live to earn additional in-game rewards and eviction materials.

In addition, you can obtain an enhanced version of Durin’s Skin after completing the mission, which features glowing horns, a small crown on the front of the hair, and different stone fragments on the chest.

Witch’s Homework Quests

This is a new quest type added in this game update. In the game world, these quests are known as Alice’s Little Witch’s Dictionary, containing various types of tasks.

Upon completion, you will receive a Hexrei: Secret Rite buff, usable on certain characters, and will transform that character into a Hexrei character to enhance their talents, skills, or constellation.
