There are 6 different factions in the game, and your faction needs to be the final winner. Warborne Above Ashes is based on PVP, but there are also PVE content to help you understand the game.

Ensure that the fast-paced squad and group battle experience is no less than that of traditional MOBA, and at the same time, there are rich strategic choices for strategic points and offensive routes like sandbox strategy simulation, all of which are to allow you to personally experience the most essential parts of war from pre-war preparation to group battle cooperation to battlefield strategy.

Game Mechanics

In each game, players need to collect resources from scratch, use Warborne Above Ashes Solarbite to expand your territory, and then join the battle with opponents.

PoE 2 Patch 0.5.4 Shocks Players - New Atlas Passive Tree and Unique Items

PoE 2 Patch 0.5.4 was recently released, adding a wealth of content, including a brand-new Atlas Passive Tree, adjustments to the mechanics of unique items, new rewards, and several boss performance changes.

This article will provide a comprehensive analysis of the content in PoE 2 Patch 0.5.4. Let's take a look!

New Atlas Passive Tree

Perhaps the most notable addition to Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.4 is the Atlas Passive Skill Tree introduced for Expedition mechanic. This skill tree is closely linked to Runes of Aldur mechanic, providing players with 24 skill points to allocate, fundamentally changing how players approach expeditions in endgame.

Players acquire these passive points by completing Expedition questlines, specifically by defeating each boss encountered along the way. Like other Atlas Passive Skill Trees in Path of Exile 2, players can unlock the complete skill tree, and many skill trees offer multiple optional affixes that players can switch between at any time.

Feeling Lucky node triggers an event in PoE 2 where NPC Farrow sells a new item called Liquid Verisium. Players can use this item to randomly obtain a set of runes.

In addition, the skill tree introduces a range of customization options, allowing players to adjust the risk-reward ratio of Expedition: Do you want to place additional explosives at the start of each encounter, or do you want additional Remnants to appear?

Do you want faster explosion chains to speed up encounters, or do you want each explosion to reduce all enemies' health by 25%? Should Remnant chains have a one-in-four chance to trigger twice, thus increasing the reward ratio? Or do you feel the game is already difficult enough, so you want them not to trigger at all? The choice is yours.

Revolutionizing Uniques

In Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.4, GGG made some very interesting changes to how unique items that grant skills work. Previously, a high-item-level unique item, even if its own requirements were low, could only be used by high-level characters. This created a frustrating situation: some interesting, build-capable items would sit idle for dozens of levels.

Patch 0.5.4 addressed this issue by introducing an automatic level scaling system. When a character equips a unique item that grants a skill, that item now grants the character the minimum skill level required to meet its needs. As the character levels up and meets new skill requirements, the granted skill level will gradually increase up to the highest level shown in the item description.

For example, a Lifesprig Unique Wand that previously required a character level of 84 to use its Level 19 Mana Drain can now be equipped at level 1. At level 1, it grants Mana Drain at level 1, which then scales with the character's progress.

PoE 2 lead explained the design philosophy behind this change: "It's a shame that many unique items with interesting abilities can only drop at high levels, and players can only use them late in the game. This change should allow players to experience a variety of character builds earlier."

However, due to this change, the minimum level requirement for some unique items will also be increased to prevent unexpected power spikes. This includes Sacred Flame Unique Sceptre, Eventide Petals Unique Amulet, and Choir of the Storm Unique Amulet, all of which now require level 55 to obtain.

New Rewards

PoE 2 Patch 0.5.4 brings players brand new rewards. After defeating Atziri, Red Queen, her vault now has a chance to drop one of four new Orb of Sacrifice currency items. These powerful orbs can be used to enhance corrupted rare items, significantly improving their existing Corrupted Enchantments. However, this power comes at a high price: each use randomly removes a specific modifier from the item.

Additionally, a unique item called Master's Reach has been added to Vessel of Kulemak Pinnacle Boss loot pool. This glove grants the player Untether skill, allowing them to implant a seed of Abyssal Energy into an enemy. Damaging or killing the enemy then detonates the heart, dealing massive physical damage to all nearby enemies.

Master's Reach also reveals enemy weaknesses, functioning similarly to Huntress's Ascendancy passive skill Predatory Instinct. By attacking enemies in these marked areas, players can recover all damage taken and convert it into health, while simultaneously consuming souls to increase skill speed, thus gaining powerful survivability and damage output.

If you want to quickly acquire Master's Reach, a speed-clear build is recommended. However, this build requires a large amount of Currency to build. If you don't have enough funds, you can buy Path of Exile 2 Currency from EZG.com, which will provide you with the fastest way to obtain it.

Endgame Boss Tuning and Quality of Life

To provide a more balanced endgame experience, GGG has made some adjustments to Paragon Boss battles. The damage bonus gained by Arbiter of Ash after stabbing Chaos or Cold Spheres has been reduced, and the duration has been shortened from 30 seconds to 20 seconds.

In addition, GGG has reduced the resistances of some Pinnacle bosses. Specific changes also include reduced Cold Resistances for Uhtred, Stardrinker, and Vorana, Last to Fall, as well as reduced Burning Ground damage from Lightless Serpent in Vessel of Kulemak fight.

Regarding gameplay optimizations, PoE 2 Patch 0.5.4 introduces a new user interface feature: holding down the Alt key and selecting a currency item or stackable shard will display the total quantity of that item in the same inventory (including the trade window). Furthermore, for players who prefer a simpler death experience, a checkbox has been added to hide You Have Died user interface upon death.

That concludes this article about PoE 2 Patch 0.5.4. If you want to know more, you can follow EZG Facebook, where there will be occasional giveaways. We look forward to your participation.

I'm surprised that the official team was able to release so much new content so quickly. Hopefully, next week will bring us even more surprises.

EA Sports College Football 27 Makes AI Smarter and More Human-like on Both Sides of the Ball

EA Sports College Football 27 will be released on July 10th at 2 AM (Central Time). Unlike College Football 26, it doesn't simply patch the existing framework; instead, it focuses on a deeper enhancement of realism, further differentiating itself from Madden series in terms of design positioning.

A series of systematic adjustments to defensive logic, short yardage attacks, and tactical execution freedom constitute the main content of this CBF 27 iteration.

These changes are not isolated functional additions, but point to a clearer design goal: to shift as much of the decision-making power as possible from system presets and animation logic back to the player's operation and judgment.

Control System

Defense

The adjustments to the defensive system are one of the most significant changes in CBF 27. The overall approach is to expand tactical depth and optimize the underlying logic, gradually shifting defense from a more passive response mechanism to a more proactive, game-playing system.

Defensive Logic

In CBF 27, the defensive coverage logic has been redesigned, with a focus on improving AI defensive players' ability to recognize and react to offensive routes.

Meanwhile, the defensive tactics manual has expanded from 9 to 31 selectable options, providing greater strategic flexibility for pre-game setup and in-game adjustments.

Furthermore, the newly added ID the Mike feature allows players to more precisely target defensive pressure on forwards; sliders such as Gap Integrity and Defensive Aggression further allow players to adjust the balance between defensive discipline and aggression.

The combined effect of these systems transforms defense from a simple numerical contest into a strategic interaction requiring continuous situational awareness and decision-making.

Short Yardage Control Optimization

Addressing unrealistic short yardage advances and end zone defense in the previous game, CBF 27 has completely restructured the short yardage mechanism.

From the pre-pitch stage, the system calculates the offensive line's driving force and the defensive line's resilience. The outcome of their interaction directly affects the situation at the moment of kickoff.

The newly added QB Sneak Meter requires players to make more precise timing maneuvers at key driving points. Multiple factors, including player abilities, match pressure influence its success rate, and the home crowd atmosphere.

This design transforms the tension of short yardage battles from a result-oriented judgment to a process-oriented challenge.

Physics Optimization

The physical feedback of the player collision system has been further enhanced, with weight and momentum having a more pronounced impact in collisions. The most obvious change is in the new Chip Block mechanic, where different types of defensive actions (such as frontal charges and lateral pulls) are directly mapped to the right analog stick direction input.

This adjustment aims to lower the execution threshold for specific defensive actions, allowing players to more intuitively choose defensive methods based on the ball handler's posture and trajectory, thereby improving the immediacy and controllability of defensive feedback.

Intelligent Logic

The evolution of AI behavior constitutes a significant, albeit implicit, change in CBF 27 that enhances realism. The core direction is to make the decision-making of non-player-controlled characters more closely resemble human judgment in proper matches.

Ball Handling Decisions

The development team introduced behavioral cloning-like machine learning methods into the ball-handling AI, training and optimizing AI's movement logic by analyzing a large amount of real-world data from high-level players.

AI ball handler more naturally recognize available space during advances and chooses to adjust laterally earlier when facing a defensive collapse, rather than continuing a straight charge.

The overall goal is to reduce the previous AI's unreasonable behavior of "ignoring the situation and forcibly charging into crowds," making ground advances more coherent.

Receiving Control

The adjustment of the receiving system is one of the most player-involved changes in CBF 27's offense. After passing, players need to choose from three modes: aggressive receiving, conservative receiving, and receiving and advancing, and the timing measurement system determines the quality of the receiving.

Ideal timing ensures the receiver gains control before contact with the defense, while poor timing can lead to a dropped ball or a failed catch. This mechanism shifts the outcome of a catch from a single attribute to the player's actions, increasing the real-time strategic depth between passing and defense.

Career & Competition

Career Mode

Road to Glory mode in CBF 27 focuses on expanding player development paths beyond single-field performance to include off-field planning and long-term management.

The game introduces a more dynamic potential system. Players' initial abilities and growth ceilings are no longer entirely fixed but are influenced by key choices made from high school to college, such as training direction and academic performance.

Several new selectable positions (such as tight end, edge rusher, and free safety) further enrich the diversity of role building.

The system also visualizes changes in player draft stock and incorporates highlights and mistakes in matches into the long-term evaluation system, making career development paths more continuous and narratively structured. Of course, some players will also use College Football 27 Coins to accelerate roster building and development.

Competitive Ecosystem

Road to College Football Playoff (CFP) mode in CBF 27 enhances the strategic weight of each regular season game.

The ranking system introduces a more complex point calculation logic, with significantly higher rewards for victories against higher-ranked opponents and greater value for away wins compared to home wins. This design encourages players to actively participate in high-intensity competition, rather than simply accumulating wins.

Furthermore, many new in-game achievements and phased objectives provide more short-term motivation and repeat play incentives for the online season.

Entering CFP playoffs, the overall event presentation is further enhanced, with the final set in Las Vegas and accompanied by more complete pre- and post-game spectacles, increasing the sense of ritual and closure to the season's journey.

Differentiated Content

CBF 27 also expands the overall experience through some supplementary content.

The dynamic weather system is no longer limited to visual presentation; rain and snow continuously evolve during the game, having a real impact on player stamina and game rhythm, thus increasing uncertainty.

As a lightweight supplement, Mascot Mashup mode offers entertaining multiplayer gameplay centered on mascots. All characters' abilities are uniformly set at a high level, resulting in a faster pace and lower pressure, creating an arcade-like experience distinct from the primary mode.

CBF 27's overall direction is clear: deepening defensive logic, physical combat, and operational precision, translating the tension of college football into more concrete and actionable gameplay.

It doesn't pursue a comprehensive system overhaul, but focuses on strengthening core tactical elements and immersive career experience. This trade-off results in a more skill-driven balance between realism and player control.

EA FC 27 Career Mode Deep Dive: Long-Awaited Overhaul Fans Have Been Asking For

EA FC 27 is set to release on September 15, 2026, and as the date draws closer, more and more information is being leaked. However, news about Career Mode remains scarce, and players are most hoping for some innovation from the developers. The good news is that EA has confirmed it will invest in Career Mode and has developed a long-term plan.

This article will analyze the potential innovations in EA FC 27's Career Mode. Players can look forward to it. Let's take a look.

Return of Narrative and Personality

For years, a significant number of players have felt that Career Mode experience has become tedious and monotonous, merely a series of menus interspersed with matches. They strongly believe that the emotional core of a football player's journey has been lost, and therefore, a revamp is urgently needed.

Therefore, many fans have called on EA to revive the success of Journey mode, which, starring Alex Hunter, successfully blended on-field gameplay with off-field decisions, media interaction, sponsorships, and cinematic storytelling, making it a favorite among players. The success of this mode proved that football games can transcend data and create memorable, character-centric stories.

In FC 27, Career Mode aims to recreate this personalization and immersion, adding features to make the game world more vibrant and interactive, such as more meaningful and morale-influencing post-match press conferences, and a social media system where players can interact and see their performance reflected in public evaluations.

The goal is to make every achievement feel meaningful and engaging in a dynamic football world, rather than simply ending abruptly upon returning to the menu.

Manager Career

Manager Career is expected to undergo their most significant changes in recent years, moving beyond the previous copy-and-paste updates. One of the most anticipated additions is the dynamic potential system. Unlike FC 26, where player potential was typically fixed, EA FC 27 will use a system where player potential is directly linked to their on-field performance.

A young striker scoring 20 goals in a season will have their potential cap increased; conversely, a poorly performing player may have their potential cap decreased. This significantly enhances the strategic importance of team rotation, player development, and match tactics.

Furthermore, the transfer system and AI logic are also listed as key areas for improvement. AI for opposing clubs is expected to receive significant enhancements, resulting in more logical and intelligent squad building and transfers that better reflect the club's characteristics and current playing style. This will address long-standing complaints from the player community about the unrealistic nature of AI transfers.

In addition, the highly anticipated get-back clause will be launched in FIFA 27. This feature, previously delayed in FC 26, is now planned for EA Sports FC 27. It will be crucial for player transfers, allowing managers to sell promising young players with a future get-back clause, providing financial flexibility and earning more FC 27 Coins without permanently losing talent.`

Player Career

Player Career mode will also be infused with more personalization and control. The focus is on giving players greater autonomy in their own stories.

Player Career mode may introduce deeper interactions between players and their agents. This will allow players to manage their careers more deeply, such as negotiating multi-year contracts, deciding on transfers, and even managing sponsorships.

This bridges the gap between the player and managerial experiences, allowing players to focus on on-field performance while also taking control of the business and strategic aspects of their careers.

The mode is also expected to have richer feedback mechanisms. The commentary team will be required to discuss player performance, achievements, and form more extensively during halftime and after matches, making each game more closely connected to the overall storyline.

To support this story-driven gameplay, the existing Origin Stories system may be expanded, providing more starting points and backgrounds for the mode.

Community Expectations

The player community has repeatedly emphasized that the true playability of a game stems from creative freedom. To maintain player interest months after the game's release, many believe that this mode in FUT27 needs to provide comprehensive customization tools. This includes a true stadium editor, allowing managers to build their own home ground from scratch during league progression;

Furthermore, players are expected to have a 100% customizable kit editor, complete with a full RGB color wheel, and the ability to upload custom team crests and sponsor images. These features are considered crucial, enabling players to create unique club personas and making the mode a deeply immersive and lasting experience.

EA Sports FC 27's Career Mode is at a pivotal moment. With official promises of significant changes and a consistent call from the player community for deeper immersion, better AI, and more robust customization, this mode is poised to be a milestone in the series.

The long-awaited improvements to the transfer, development, and customization systems promise to deliver the strategic depth and personalization players have been craving for years.

That concludes this article about FC 27 Career Mode. This mode urgently needs a change, and we hope the developers can dedicate more time and effort to it to better meet player needs. Let's look forward to the game's release on September 15th!

Diablo 4 Season 14 Starter Build Guide: How Mythic Uniques 3.0 Makes Barbarian the Best Choice?

Diablo 4 has officially confirmed that Season 14 will launch on June 30th (PDT). Besides bringing new season mechanics and gameplay modes, these are essential updates that appear with every new season.

For players, the most significant impact of the new season will likely be the changes to the equipment system and class adjustments in Mythic Uniques 3.0. These adjustments alter the strength of many players' previously favored builds, potentially leading them to switch classes and builds when Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening launches.

This is what I want to emphasize today: the relationship between Mythic Uniques and build strength is closely linked, even directly determining the potential ceiling of a build. Different builds also determine Mythic Uniques you need. Therefore, your choice of starting build at the beginning of the season is crucial.

This article will analyze the relationship between Mythic Uniques and builds, and the best starting build for the early season.

Mythic Uniques 3.0

After Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening Mythic Uniques 3.0, Mythic is no longer a fixed item rarity, but rather a quality level that an item can achieve through upgrades. You can convert a Unique item into a Mythic Unique using a Horadric Cube or Jeweler. A Mythic Unique will always have one Ancestral affix, and other affixes will be at their maximum value.

Once the quality reaches its maximum, the only variable is the affix. You can give your crafted and upgraded Mythic Unique affixes that are more suitable for your desired class and build. More suitable affixes will maximize Mythic Unique's strength and even compensate for weaknesses in your chosen build.

As compensation for the balancing mechanism, you can only equip one such crafted Mythic Unique item by yourself.

Affixes

Finding affixes with suitable attributes is crucial for improving a build's strength. Even the fixed affixes of a Mythic Unique can be changed. For example, the core attributes of Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty are Strength and Life. As a Barbarian-specific helmet, it's unsuitable for the currently most popular Barbarian build - Selig build.

In this situation, you can choose to reroll Mythic Unique affix attribute. In Season 14, there are several main methods:

1. Enchanting

This is the most traditional and universal method in Diablo 4, suitable for common equipment like Legendary items.

Find Occultist in town, click Enchanting tab on the far right, and you can place the equipment you want to reroll the affix from. Select one affix you don't need.

Note that each reroll will generate three new affixes in the corresponding attribute pool. You can choose one, or leave it as is if you're not satisfied with any of the three new affixes.

While you can reroll repeatedly, the next reroll will only have that one affix; it cannot be changed. Furthermore, Diablo 4 Gold and materials required increase with each reroll.

2. Horadric Cube

This method works for Mythic Unique Items because they cannot be re-rolled at Occultist.

Place the item you want to reroll into Horadric Cube, select the corresponding Chaotic Reroll. If you want high damage affixes, choose Aggressive; if you want high defense, choose Defensive. One advantage of Horadric Cube affix re-rolling is that it gives players some control over their choices.

The only thing to note is that Unique Power for Mythic Unique Items cannot be re-rolled in Horadric Cube, and once a reroll is performed, it cannot be reversed.

3. Tempering

Tempering differs from the previous two methods. It doesn't replace unwanted affixes, but rather modifies their attributes. Therefore, Tempering works for all Diablo 4 Items.

Find Blacksmith and add a Tempering Affix to the equipment whose attributes you want to modify. The modified affixes are all derived from Manual; you can check beforehand to see if the affix attributes you want are available.

As for the numerical values, don't worry. In Diablo 4 Season 14, all Tempering affix attribute values are already at their maximum values.

If you're not satisfied with Tempering results, you can repeat Tempering process.

Players can choose from the three methods mentioned above based on their needs and circumstances. Ultimately, all paths lead to the same goal: your final affixes should serve your build. The two must work together to make your character stronger.

Build Selection

Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening's adjustments to class balance and changes to some equipment performance have threatened the status of previously popular builds. Based on the adjustment information, Barbarian, one of the currently strong classes in the new season, may be the most suitable class for leveling up by grinding in the early stages of the season.

And two incredibly strong Barbarian builds: Whirlwind and Call of the Ancients, especially Call of the Ancients, which may become one of the fastest map-clearing builds in the new season.

Whirlwind

The core mechanics of Whirlwind build remain unchanged in Diablo 4 Season 14, but due to the altered Fury acquisition mechanism for Barbarians, Fury gained from taking damage now depends on Barbarian's maximum life: 0.5% of maximum life is gained per instance of damage taken.

Furthermore, Barbarian's signature equipment, Melted Heart of Selig, and defensive Aspects, such as Endurant Faith, have been nerfed to some extent, resulting in a slight decrease in Whirlwind build's survivability compared to before.

However, its derivative skill, Dust Devil, has received buffs in damage, casting speed, and range, maintaining its dominance in map clearing speed. With better equipment and resource management, Barbarian Whirlwind build remains a must-have for players starting out and speed-farming in Season 14.

Call of the Ancients

The early-game burst damage of Call of the Ancients was nerfed in Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening, but its buffs were significantly improved.

The 15% passive attack speed bonus and 20% damage increase gained by Call of the Ancients Barbarian after casting a spell have been adjusted to provide 5% attack speed and 5% damage increase to each summoned ancestor. This means that the more ancestors summoned, the more the buffs will stack.

However, because you can only summon a small number of ancestors in the early game, you can't fully utilize Call of the Ancients build. While Call of the Ancients is sufficient for clearing maps and leveling in the early game, its powerful burst damage is more suitable for clearing large numbers of maps and dealing with higher-strength monsters in the mid-to-late game.

If you want to learn more about early-game build choices, follow EZG Facebook. We will also share free game resources there from time to time.

There's only one principle for choosing a build: regardless of the build you choose, to maximize its power, you must equip gear and affixes that match it. Whirlwind builds need gear and affixes that increase maximum life and defense, while Call of the Ancients in the early game requires gear and affixes that provide damage and attack speed bonuses.

I hope all players can successfully complete the initial exploration phase of Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening.

Path of Exile Return of the Ancestors Best Ancestral Commander Build Guide: Skills, Gear, Pros & Cons

Return of the Ancestors event in Path of Exile has officially launched. With this new event, what build do you plan to use to participate in the various new gameplay elements?

In fact, in this game known for its complexity, every now and then a build emerges that, due to its mechanics, is far stronger than expected. Return of the Ancestors also has such a build; it belongs to Ancestral Commander class and boasts exceptional defense and damage.

If you lack a build for clearing this event, you can refer to this build. Below, I will elaborate on it in detail:

Build Principles

As we all know, during the event, you will be able to play some Legacy of Phrecia-specific Ascendancy classes, each with several builds.

However, the reason I chose this Ancestral Commander build from PoE as my starting build for Return of the Ancestors is because its defensive and damage capabilities are both exceptionally strong.

Specifically, Ancestral Commander class itself possesses strong defensive capabilities. Therefore, we only need two gems - Minion Pact Support and Blade Vortex - to enhance its attack power.

Minion Pact Support

Minion Pact Support is an Exceptional Support gem that allows a nearby minion to randomly sacrifice itself when the player casts a supported spell, granting the player additional damage.

In other words, through this mechanism, the player can directly convert a minion's health into their own damage. As long as you summon enough minions with sufficient health, you can infinitely increase your damage. When this damage stacks to a certain level, you can even one-shot some monsters.

Therefore, the key to increasing your damage using this mechanism lies in increasing the number and health of the minions you can summon.

So, you can invest resources to stack support gems like Minion Life Support and Companionship Support, which target minions, to obtain minions with extremely high base health.

Blade Vortex

Blade Vortex gem provides players with sustained spell damage. Unlike some PoE gems, its support strength increases with stacks: up to 10 stacks, each providing additional damage and a higher attack frequency.

When the massive damage from Minion Pact Support is applied to a spell with a very high More Damage buff, the spell can deal terrifying damage.

At this point, even with very ordinary gear, players can deal tens of millions of damage through stacking various buffs.

Gear and Gems

Contrary to its terrifying damage output, this build doesn't require very expensive gear. Most PoE players can afford it and use it in Return of the Ancestors event.

Gems

First, there are the two core gems mentioned above - Minion Pact Support and Blade Vortex. Both gems are relatively easy to obtain.

Minion Pact Support can be obtained by defeating the boss Catarina, Master of Undeath, which you can find in Tier 17 map and the final battle of Betrayal gameplay.

Of course, if you haven't reached the endgame stage and can't obtain Minion Pact Support, you can use Sunder and Earthshatter to upgrade first, and then switch to this build once you reach the endgame stage.

Blade Vortex will randomly drop in PoE. If you haven't encountered it, you can craft it directly using an in-game recipe.

Gear

You can use some Currency to craft the core gear for this build at a relatively low cost.

For boots, you can use Elder's Base boots, first roll for the "+1 minion skill level" affix, and then upgrade it to "+2 minion skill level" using Orb of Dominance.

For the helmet, you also need to use some Path of Exile 1 Currency to craft a helmet with "+2 minion skill level" affix.

Regarding weapons, if you're focusing on clearing maps, you can use Obliteration, leveraging its explosive power to improve map clearing efficiency; for boss fights, switch to a higher-damage weapon.

Build Drawbacks

No build is perfect. If you intend to use this build as your progression build in POE Return of the Ancestors, you need to be aware of its drawbacks.

The biggest problem lies in Spectre management. Due to the nature of Minion Pact Support, you sacrifice a minion every time you cast a spell.

If you use regular Spectres, since they don't automatically resurrect after being sacrificed at Hideout, you must leave the current area and return, or travel to the specific chapter map to resummon them, a very tedious process.

However, you can use Meatsacks as an alternative, as they leave corpses after death, making resurrection relatively easy. However, the damage they provide is relatively low.

Perfect Dark Marionettes are also a good choice; their biggest advantage is that they automatically resurrect every 4 seconds, so you don't need to figure out how to resurrect your minions. But similarly, the damage they provide is not high.

If you're aiming for maximum damage, you can opt for Spectres from Doedre Stamatis boss fight area. They deal even more damage, but their corpses disappear extremely quickly, and the resurrection mechanism is complex. Players may even need to use specific "skill effect masking" appearances to prevent permanent minion loss due to misoperation at Hideout.

Therefore, while this build boasts incredibly high attack and defense, the cumbersome minion management can be a major drawback for players seeking convenience and a "brain-dead easy play" experience.

This is my recommended Ancestral Commander build for clearing Return of the Ancestors event in Path of Exile. Its advantages are extremely high attack and defense, while its disadvantage is potentially tedious minion management.

However, frankly, compared to the overwhelming attack power it provides, its drawbacks are negligible. This build is so powerful that it may be nerfed in Patch 3.29 in July. If you want to try it out, you'll need to act quickly.

MLB The Show 26: Which Theme Teams Are Worth Building in the Current Card Meta?

Theme teams are still a roster-building strategy in MLB The Show 26's Diamond Dynasty, one that the development team has been pushing all along.

However, each year follows a similar pattern: truly strong teams are consistently concentrated in a few teams with deep historical foundations, frequently updated card pools, or those with a strong roster in recent years.

Therefore, for players seriously wanting to try theme team gameplay, the focus is often not on choosing their favorite team, but on choosing a team that can truly perform well in Update 12. The difference lies mainly in card depth, acquisition costs, and growth potential in future updates.

Below, we will provide a relatively objective breakdown of the current mainstream theme teams from these three dimensions.

Core Standards of Roster Strength

In MLB 26, the actual strength of a theme team is primarily determined by the number of players with 95 OVR or higher. These cards typically come from seasonal events, special missions, or high-priced cards from the auction house, and are crucial to building a strong lineup.

In contrast, players with 93-94 OVR rank serve more of a rotation or transitional role, offering limited improvement to overall team strength, and are easily replaced with subsequent card pool updates.

Therefore, when evaluating a team's playability, the primary focus should be on the coverage of 95+ players and whether these cards are distributed across key positions.

New York Yankees

New York Yankees boast a top-tier card pool depth in MLB 26. Their roster has seven position players with 95 OVR or higher, essentially covering all four infield positions and the core outfield positions.

While their catcher pool only includes 94 OVR cards for fill-in, the acquisition cost is relatively manageable, ensuring they don't negatively affect the roster's overall strength.

The pitchers pool is also quite complete, with ample reserves of 92-94 OVR starters and bullpen players, resulting in a stable rotation structure. Overall, the advantage of this theme team lies in its almost complete lack of significant weaknesses, with each position maintaining a usable or even strong level.

Houston Astros

Strong top-tier players and a user-friendly overall build characterize Houston Astros team. The most prominent player is Roger Clemens (OVR 97), a card that is an extremely strong core player within the theme team system.

The lineup built around him includes several useful cards from OVR 93-95, with relatively reasonable acquisition costs. Most key players are priced between 15,000 and 25,000 MLB The Show 26 Stubs, suitable for gradual building.

The only high-barrier Stubs are Craig Biggio's Awards Series card, priced close to 90,000 Stubs, but it's not essential, and alternatives are available.

Overall, this team's advantage lies in its quick formation and stable strength, without requiring a large upfront investment.

Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto Blue Jays are more of a mid-game transitional MLB 26 theme team. Currently, the core high OVR players are mainly concentrated in George Springer and Bo Bichette, with significantly fewer players achieving 95+ OVR compared to top-tier teams.

The pitcher's rotation consists of Max Scherzer, Trey Yesavage, and others, offering overall usability but limited potential. The problem lies in the lack of 99-level or truly game-ending cards, making the lineup vulnerable to falling behind newer card systems in the late game.

In short, this theme team can be quickly assembled but is not suitable for long-term investment.

St. Louis Cardinals

St. Louis Cardinals are a rather unique team in MLB 26 because it possesses a 99 OVR Albert Pujols, a top-tier core player within the entire system.

The lineup built around Albert Pujols includes several 95+ players and a stable 93-94 OVR, making the overall structure quite strong. More importantly, the team has several classic legendary cards that haven't yet been fully released in higher-rated cards, meaning there's significant room for future upgrades.

This theme team's strength isn't its current strength, but its highest potential for future growth.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Los Angeles Dodgers are a typical all-position strength-covering theme team. From Shohei Ohtani to Mookie Betts, and then to Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow, almost every key position has players with 95+ or even higher OVR.

The advantage lies in its naturally complete lineup, requiring no deliberate patching; the disadvantage is the relatively high overall team-building cost, and some core cards are still being updated, resulting in significant price fluctuations.

However, because of the high proportion of active players, Los Angeles Dodgers' long-term usability and adaptability to MLB 26 updates are relatively stable.

Building Costs

From a resource investment perspective, the differences in experience between the various MLB The Show 26 teams are quite significant.

  • New York Yankees are a slow starter; you can build them up gradually over time, but the development cycle is long.
  • Houston Astros are more player-friendly; most key cards are reasonably priced, allowing for gradual acquisition.
  • Toronto Blue Jays are the easiest to assemble but also the easiest to become obsolete. St. Louis Cardinals, on the other hand, has a high initial investment, but once you get your core cards, the returns are higher.
  • Los Angeles Dodgers fall somewhere in between: high resource consumption, but a relatively stable acquisition path, and many free or pass cards to supplement the lineup.

Practical Issues

When actually using theme teams, three points are often overlooked but have a significant impact.

The first is the catcher position. New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals have relatively excellent solutions, while Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays rely more on alternative cards in this position.

The second is the depth of the starter pitchers rotation. Most theme teams only have 2-3 truly high-quality starter cards, requiring a bullpen strategy for the rest of the games, which demands a certain level of skill.

The third factor is the auction house's pacing. At the beginning of MLB 26 season, these players are quite expensive. If your budget is limited, it's usually better to use free players as a transitional strategy and then focus on strengthening your team during the promotional period.

In MLB The Show 26, a theme team is essentially more of a directional approach than a single path to maximum strength.

Ultimately, the key isn't which team is the strongest, but which strategy best suits your current time, resources, and investment pace.
