Aniimo will officially launch on September 16, 2026. This is a free-to-play, next-generation open-world role-playing game where players will capture unique creatures and complete fantasy action quests across the vast continent of Eden.

If you're interested in this game but don't know where to start, then you definitely need to read this article. Next, I'll share the priorities you should have on your first day in Aniimo to help you quickly establish a strong start and avoid wasting time.

Server Selection and Character Naming Strategy

Before entering Aniimo, you need to choose your server. There are three: America, Europe, and APAC. After selection, your character will be locked to your chosen server - it cannot be transferred later.

If you plan to play with friends, please select a server before clicking the create button. These servers are independent of each other; if you need to switch servers, you will need to start from scratch.

Then, register your character name as early as possible. Each name is unique, and the character creation system is comprehensive enough to keep you immersed for at least an hour.

Remember firstly choose your preferred name, then adjust your character's appearance - you can change the appearance later, but names are first-come, first-served.

Starter Choice

The game's initial tutorial will let you catch your first Aniimo - a Fire-type Aniimo, basically given to you outright. A few minutes later, you can freely explore an open area and almost immediately catch Hummin (Grass), Skippy (Water), and Celestis (Dark).

As a new player, you might be unsure which Aniimo to choose for your team. Some Aniimo can help you move around, some excel at team building, some shine in PvP, and then there are many other useful Aniimo.

I think on the first day, don't worry too much about your initial partner; it's important to catch all the animals you see before deciding how to deal with those Aniimo.

Unlock Master Trainer Immediately

This is the most important decision you make early in the game. Your first skill points should be invested directly into Master Trainer in your character's skill tree. This grants you a +10% experience bonus in almost everything, such as capturing and defeating enemies.

However, a word of caution: never use an XP Gem before activating Master Trainer. Otherwise, you will permanently lose this 10% experience bonus. Activating Master Trainer unlocks the Hoverboard to improve movement, and everything else can wait.

Understanding Experience Gain Methods

Elite Training Quests

This is the fastest way to level up in Aniimo. Do these quests as soon as they become available. Relying solely on these quests can get you to around level 31.

Bloom Branches

Activating Bloom Branches on the map grants experience and fast travel points. They also populate the flower map, unlocking subsequent weather control features.

Light Embers (Lumens)

These items are scattered throughout the map, and a notification will appear when you approach them. Don't ignore them; each Light Ember provides experience.

Sanctuaries

These are puzzle-style mini-dungeons in Aniimo, offering generous experience points, and if you're lucky, you might even find rare materials.

Alpha Bosses

Defeating these wandering bosses grants a large amount of experience points.

Learn Twining and Combat Modes

Twining is the core mechanic of Aniimo and what sets it apart from other games.

Once you capture an Aniimo, you can twinnate and transform, borrowing its abilities. Some can climb cliffs, some can glide, and some can dive underwater. You'll need to develop the habit of constantly switching forms.

In addition, there are two combat modes that you need to switch between:

Command Mode

In this mode, you need to command your Aniimo like in a tactical team battle, while ensuring your own safety. Precise movement control is required.

Twining Mode

You will transform and directly control your Aniimo, unleashing real-time combos. This mode is best suited for burst damage and battles requiring dodging.

Master Capturing

To successfully capture an Aniimo in Aniimo game, it's not just about lowering your health and throwing balls. You'll need some techniques. The following methods can help increase your capture success rate:

Use Higher-Level Aniipods

Using higher-level capsules significantly increases the capture success rate. Aniipod Ultra has a 100% capture success rate. This item can be redeemed with 20 Aniipod Ultra Vouchers or obtained through Aniimo Currency trading.

Ambush from Behind

Approaching from behind significantly increases the capture success rate. If Aniimo spots you, the capture success rate will decrease.

Catch Them Sleeping

Sleeping Aniimos are easier to capture, so you can wait for the right moment or look for resting targets.

Inflict Break Damage

Breaking a creature's defenses during combat greatly increases the capture success rate. Don't try to capture targets that are still in a completely stable state.

Unlock Homeland and RV System ASAP

The homeland and RV system is also very important in Aniimo. Once your homestead is up and running, you'll accumulate more resources and complete time-consuming activities much faster.

Assuming you start building your homestead on day one of the game, compared to starting on day ten, you'll have a huge advantage.

Since the homestead system primarily runs in the background, it won't affect your gameplay - you only need to check it occasionally to ensure facilities are upgraded, different plots are unlocked, materials are acquired and sold, and so on. Furthermore, materials obtained from the homestead system can be used to upgrade and decorate your campervan.
