Arc Raiders Just Dropped a Roadmap to 2026 | Nobody Expected This

Arc Raiders recently released a new roadmap for January to April, which includes new map events, Quests, Trials, and more, with a brand new map arriving in April. This guide will provide a detailed analysis of this roadmap.

Jan 27, 2026 Author: EZG

On January 23rd, the developers of Arc Raiders released a new content roadmap for the game in 2026, detailing the update plans from now until April 2026.

This roadmap, themed Escalation, covers new maps, new ARC threats, Expedition Window, a new Raider Deck, and a host of gameplay expansions, signaling a period of continuous and frequent content updates for this PvPvE extraction shooter in the new year.

According to the official blog, Arc Raiders will maintain a stable monthly update schedule over the next four months, continuously adding new Quests, Trials, ARC Raiders items, cosmetic content, and numerous quality optimizations, laying a solid foundation for the game's first full year since launch.Arc Raiders Just Dropped a Roadmap to 2026 | Nobody Expected This

Each monthly update not only includes specific content but also has a unique theme name, reflecting the escalating ARC dangers in the game world.

January: Headwinds

The theme for the January update is Headwinds. Although there's not much time left in January, an important feature will still be introduced: a separate matchmaking option for players level 40 and above.

This feature will provide a fairer playing environment for high-level PvE and PvP players, avoiding forced matchmaking with players significantly stronger than themselves.Arc Raiders Roadmap

According to the latest announcement, players who have reached the required level and are eager for a challenge can now try joining the solo mode, which allows players to fight against multiple squads alone and gain bonus experience.

In this mode, you might become the hunter or the ambush hunter, or both. Clearly, this mode heavily tests players' familiarity with the map and their weapon proficiency. Therefore, many players have expressed strong dissatisfaction, believing it's entirely for bloggers and veteran players, offering no appeal to ordinary players.

However, the specific gameplay is still unknown, and it is hoped that this mode will change the minds of those who oppose it after its release.

In addition, a new map condition has been added: Buried City map now features many birds, consistent with the bird icons on the route map. Players can obtain more valuable loot during this period by using chimneys or other places where birds hide for food, but beware of other intruders.

In addition, a smaller map environment has been added to the game, currently speculated to be Toxic Swamp event, predicted to officially launch on January 27th. It will, like Cold Snap, alter the course of the game.

February: Shrouded Sky

Compared to January, February's changes lean more towards expanding the overall game content, including a map update, a new Raider Deck, a new Expedition Window, and a new player project.

These additions are expected to become part of future regular updates. Notably, February will also introduce a brand new map condition, whose icon seems to suggest a connection to strong winds or anomalous gases. Simultaneously, a new Arc threat will be added.

March: Flashpoint

This month continues the content expansion trend, adding a new Arc threat, new map conditions, and a new player project.

Furthermore, the familiar resource gathering unit, Scrappy, will receive an adjustment or upgrade in March, allowing it to play a more significant role in resource acquisition and gameplay loops.

April: Riven Tides

April update, themed Riven Tides, is the most significant update in the entire Escalation roadmap.

The developers have confirmed a brand new Arc Raiders map will be released in April, along with a large-scale ARC threat. The official announcement only uses a skull icon as a hint, whetting players' appetites.

Judging from the update name and icon, the new map may include coastal or aquatic environments, and loot distribution and combat pace are expected to change significantly.Arc Raiders New Map

Many players are also curious whether the new map will be set on the coast. Imagine how cool it would be to see a giant ARC warship sailing on the sea!

However, previous speculations about the new map focused on volcanoes, making the developers' choice of a waterside environment for the map's icon quite intriguing. Could a new story event be released before the new map?

Also, a new Expedition Window will open in April. This will be the third Expedition, and the rewards for the previous round were criticized by players as being too meager. It remains to be seen whether the developers will increase the rewards this time.

Other Updates

Besides regular updates, the developers will also release new Quests, Trials, Events, and skins from time to time, ensuring players have plenty of content to explore before the new map is released.

Regarding the story, the developers have stated that there will be deeper content development. As ARC event expands, the situation in Rustbelt region is becoming increasingly unstable. Players will be forced to venture into more dangerous surface areas and face unknown dangers.

For players who have been eagerly anticipating deeper gameplay and more thrilling ground parkour, the next few months promise to be incredibly exciting.

Furthermore, the developers have recently intensified their efforts to combat cheating, including fixing exploits in Stella Montis and taking action against the creation of inappropriate content.

Arc Raiders has been widely praised since its launch last October. This release of four months' worth of new content information at once has players incredibly excited.

Besides their excitement, players also hope that the developers will listen more to the community's timely feedback and suggestions on the game. For example, there should be solutions for Late Spawn System; the problem of items piling up in backpacks should be properly addressed; and game skins should be able to be rotated between matches, like in other games.

The content following Arc Raiders looks quite exciting so far, and we believe the developers will continue to listen to and correct the issues raised by players. Let's look forward to the game!
