The fourth and final major update in the official ARC Raiders roadmap for early 2026 is coming soon. The previous three were Headwinds, Shrouded Sky, and Flashpoint, while Riven Tides will conclude the year's content plans.
Each update introduces new Major Map Conditions and ARC threats, but Riven Tides is the only update on the roadmap to simultaneously include a brand new map and a new major ARC threat. This combination makes it the most content-rich of the four updates. Therefore, Riven Tides is expected to be the largest update in the game to date.
Riven Tides is scheduled for release on April 28, 2026. The official team is still teasing this major ARC Raiders update, gradually releasing content. Recently, they teased the next major map that will be released alongside Riven Tides at the end of April. Let's take a look.
Release
The new map will be released alongside Riven Tides update. The official date hasn't been confirmed yet, but based on past patterns, April 28th is the most likely date. Since the game's launch, every monthly update for ARC Raiders has invariably been released on the last Tuesday of the month. This has been the case for the past three updates.
This frequency is reliable enough. To help you plan ahead, please mark April 28th. Server maintenance is expected that morning, after which the new content will be released.
Preview content
The community has been referring to this map as Riven Tides, but the official name has not yet been confirmed. This map trailer was sent to random players via email. If you're interested in the original email, you can find it yourself; it won't be posted here. The email mentions Panorama Azzurro, a large, dilapidated hotel. It also includes snapshots of the hotel, revealing its gradual collapse.
The official trailer for players reads like a site visit report, detailing a place called Panorama Azzurro, which appears to be a dilapidated resort or hotel, potentially a major tourist attraction. It also mentions abandoned interiors, worn staircases, faded disco posters, and even a backup spot near a tennis court. Based on this information, the map isn't an empty area, but rather a place full of character and story.
This perfectly matches our previous prediction that Riven Tides would introduce a coastal map. Currently, the map appears to cover both land and water, with significant vertical undulations, potentially offering extremely wide-open vistas at varying elevations.
Riven Tides map design may be inspired by Amalfi Coast and will incorporate dynamic elements such as tides and potential volcanoes. More details about this new map are constantly emerging.
Some speculate that the map will incorporate constantly changing tides based on the images. A map that allows these changing tides to disrupt player movement and path selection during gameplay would be fantastic, especially if the tides are semi-random, meaning they won't always change in the same way at the same time. That would add a lot of new color to ARC Raiders.
Comparison to existing maps
How does this new map differ from existing maps like Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and Stella Montis? Many players will immediately notice the changes. Existing maps are mainly industrial and urban environments, while Riven Tides map completely breaks this pattern, featuring open water, coastal buildings, and seemingly multi-layered coastal facilities. This could be a richer and more enjoyable map.
The changed terrain will bring players a completely new experience. The terrain near water often creates natural chokepoints between bridges and docks, forcing players to think of new strategies and change their ways of chasing ARC. So remember to adjust your loadouts before entering the new map.
Don't try to be lazy and assume your current loadouts can be directly used in the upcoming Riven Tides map. Because this map has vertical space and a wide field of view, mid-to-long-range loadouts may be more effective than melee loadouts. You can already prepare for the new map by getting your ARC Raiders Items suitable for mid-to-long-range combat.
Player expectations
This update could be quite significant, enough to introduce a new type of ARC enemy related to the ocean. Players are already tired of the common flying ARC enemies in ARC Raiders and crave something truly fresh.
Some players also hope for new water-based elements, such as jet skis and fishing, to enrich the game's overall experience.
Furthermore, some players are hoping the map will be a massive PvE area with a significantly increased number of ARCs, three to four times the current number, for a more thrilling combat experience.
Many players are eagerly anticipating ARC Raiders Riven Tides update and are anxiously awaiting the new map's arrival. This update is another major update after Flashpoint. What kind of content would you like it to add? Feel free to discuss it with everyone in the community. Let's wait and see, and hopefully the official team will bring us some surprises.
