Thank goodness, ARC Raiders has finally decided to reveal some of the content included in the next major Shrouded Sky Update, including new map condition and a long-awaited feature. The former will affect how players explore the game; the latter can affect the degree of character customization.

So how exactly do they exert their influence? If you have any doubts, you might want to check out this Arc Raiders new content guide prepared for you by EZG.com, in order to allow for reasonable changes to the gameplay after they go live on February 24th. Don't hesitate, come and learn more in advance!Warning, Raiders: One Tiny Light in the New Hurricane Condition Will Get You Killed in ARC Raiders Shrouded Sky Update

New Hurricane Map Condition

First, let's look at the condition for a brand new map that warrants a separate official announcement from the developers: Hurricane. Like the existing Electromagnetic Storms, Cold Snap, and the limited-time Bird City, it's a full-map outdoor map modification.

Under this condition, the weather will become very harsh, with strong winds creating a distinction between tailwinds and headwinds, which will affect how you move on Topside and how you throw projectiles. A tailwind will make you go faster, jump and throw farther, while a headwind will do the opposite.

Meanwhile, grenades that release smoke will also be affected: with strong winds, the smoke will dissipate faster, and your or other members of your squad will be exposed more quickly. And it will also blow sand, dust, and debris from the ground towards you, which will cause some damage to your equipped shield.

Once your shield is damaged, a flashing signal light will alert you so you can repair it promptly. But this light has very strong penetrating power, so other players can pinpoint your exact location on the sandstorm-swept map, which is very disadvantageous for you. While not having a shield eliminates this problem, it can potentially lead to defeat in fights against other players and Arc enemies.

Finally, it must be mentioned that the dust, thunderstorms, and strong winds contained in Hurricane will reduce visibility in the area in front of you, thus narrowing your field of vision. If this map condition coincides with Night Raid activation, it will only make matters worse. The dark environment and limited visibility will make the risks you face even greater.

How to Deal it?

As the most loyal gaming partner of all ARC Raiders players, EZG.com cannot stand idly by and watch you fall into danger. Following the developers' announcement, we have developed corresponding strategies to help you get ahead of other raiders in Hurricane!

Observe Wind Direction

After you select a map and start the raid, you need to observe the wind direction of the hurricanes it contains, which is usually displayed on the mini-map and will determine your exploration route. Before Hurricane is activated, you can move against the wind without any obstacles, just be careful of your opponents.

Once the condition is activated, you can turn around and move with the wind. At this time, your movement speed will increase, and the possibility of encountering enemies and causing tremendous damage with projectiles will also increase. Most importantly, you are no longer afraid of shield damage.

However, one thing to remind you is that even when traveling with the wind, don't just focus on immediate gains. Be wary of ambushes lurking behind you and avoid major conflicts with them, because you are traveling against the wind, so your combat advantage is not that high.

Focus Shield Flashing Light

While everyone's vision is limited in Hurricane map condition, the flashing siren for shield damage is still clearly visible. So, if you want to rely on PvP to loot more high-value gear or other loot, you can use it to aim at shielded enemies that are easier to spot.

Similarly, other players might also discover you because of this. So, while paying attention to other players' sign lights, you should also check your own lights at all times. If you find any flashing, use the corresponding ARC Raiders Items to repair it immediately to avoid putting yourself in endless risks.

What Rewards?

Similar to the previous maps, Hurricane also features its own exclusive rewards: Valuable Raider Caches from First Wave. These caches contain valuable relics, rare collectibles, and resources. However, their quantity is limited, requiring you to scavenge quickly and stand out from the competition among numerous raiders.

New Feature Leaked - Facial Hair Customization

Besides the exciting addition of new map conditions, a new feature leaked in the trailer has also caught the attention of all players: a bearded character appears in the title card for Shrouded Sky Update, which may hint that Arc Raiders is preparing to launch the long-awaited facial hair customization feature.

In fact, after its release, players frequently compared it to The Finals from the same developer, with the controversy surrounding the various facial hair options being particularly heated. Many argued that the developers shouldn't have favored one over the other and should have included all games.

It's possible the developers heard the players' requests and are preparing to bring facial hair customization to the game with the next Shrouded Sky Update; however, this is all just speculation, and we still need to wait for an official announcement.

The above details cover some of the update content currently announced for ARC Raiders. With new map conditions, new features, and the yet-to-be-announced new Arc enemies, main quests, and balance updates, February 24th is sure to be an unforgettable day for all players. Enjoy the game!
