CoD Black Ops 7 Season 6 The Haunting Brings Horror to Warzone, Zombies, Multiplayer, and Endgame

Black Ops 7 Season 6 launches September 17 with The Haunting, bringing Haunted Hollow to Warzone, new Zombies content, T.E.D.D. Trials, Endgame changes, four new weapons, and seasonal event rewards.

Sep 11, 2026 Author: EZG

From Warzone's Haunted Hollow and a new survival map in Zombies to a host of zombie-themed gameplay in Multiplayer, the season's Halloween atmosphere permeates nearly all major existing modes.

Meanwhile, new weapons like TR51 Para and VMP will be introduced via Battle Pass and seasonal events.

Rather than simply adding a few maps or limited-time modes, Season 6 significantly alters the existing gameplay landscape.

Warzone's Haunted Hollow

Warzone is the epicenter of The Haunting atmosphere. In BO7 Season 6, Haven's Hollow transforms into Haunted Hollow, with the original town engulfed by darkness, mysterious rituals, and elements of cosmic horror.

Lumbermill is consumed by flames, an anti-gravity vortex appears at Mansion, eerie symbols are revealed as Pond's water recedes, and massive tentacles loom in the sky above the map. Navigation and exploration routes in certain areas will shift accordingly.

Ghost Train is a unique interactive feature of this map overhaul. Players must first bring the spectral train back into the real world before boarding to scavenge resources from Supply Boxes, Buy Stations, and Mystery Boxes.

For players who want to practice before jumping into the new seasonal modes, CoD BO7 Bot Lobbies can provide a more controlled environment for testing weapons and getting used to different combat situations.

Pumpkins scattered throughout the town are also interactive; they may drop loot or grant short-term buffs similar to Zombies Perks, though they can also trigger negative effects.

Launching alongside Haunted Hollow is Giant Infected, an expanded version of Infected mode that supports up to 64 players. At the start of each match, eight players are randomly chosen as Infected, while the rest play as Survivors, gathering DNA and attempting to craft and detonate a DNA Bomb.

Survivors who fail to respawn in time join the ranks of Infected, while Infected themselves gain increased movement speed and health - and unlock a Super Jump ability - as they survive and secure kills.

This creates a direct synergy between the map environment and mode rules, ensuring Haunted Hollow is far more than just a Halloween-themed reskin.

Zombies Updates

Zombies is receiving a packed lineup of new content in CoD Season 6.

First up is the new Survival map Tenshu. Set in the central area of Kowakujō Castle, it challenges players to battle standard zombies, Hellhounds, and Oni in tight quarters while upgrading their gear via Perks, Mystery Box, Arsenal, and more.

Reaching rounds 10, 25, and 50 will also unlock specific bonus rewards.

Rex Infernus will also receive Directed Mode, providing on-screen quest steps and capping progression at Round 15.

Players who enjoy extreme survival challenges can jump into Starting Room mode, where they must hold out for as many rounds as possible using limited resources without ever leaving the initial building.

Rogue Run is also seeing significant expansion.

Paradox Junction and Kowakujō are being added to Casual and Hardcore playlists. Additionally, the update introduces Pack-a-Punch Tier IV, Ultra-Rarity weapon upgrades, and Golden Armor that automatically regenerates armor plates.

To tie in with The Haunting event, pumpkin-headed zombies will appear across all Rogue Run playlists.

Players who have already completed all the round-based Zombies Main Quests from Black Ops 7 have an extra objective awaiting them. Season 6 introduces a Super Easter Egg and a set of new rewards, including the unlockable The Warden Operator.

Zombies Content Comes to Multiplayer

On Multiplayer front, the game adds Quantum - a brand-new medium-sized 6v6 map - and Bloodstead, a horror-themed overhaul of an existing map.

Quantum takes players to an Arctic research facility, mixing open exterior sightlines with tighter indoor firefights. Bloodstead, meanwhile, reworks Homestead with a horror theme, covering its water, buildings, and surroundings with blood, corpses, and other zombie-inspired details.

One of the most distinctive additions in Season 6 is T.E.D.D. Trials.

Three maps originally from Zombies - Roadkill, Inferno, and Lost - are being brought to Multiplayer for the first time. Players can engage in 6v6 matches on these maps while a random set of five T.E.D.D. Trials rotates throughout the match, all while contending with zombies and wielding the iconic Ray Gun.

CoD Bot Lobbies are also useful here for practicing movement, experimenting with different weapons, and preparing for the faster pace of Multiplayer.

Hordepoint, returning mid-season, continues to blend Hardpoint with Zombies.

Zombies on the map will actively attack players; however, once a team captures the objective, the zombies temporarily aid that team and turn their aggression toward the opposing side.

Freeze Tag also returns mid-season, offering a fun, casual 6v6 experience.

The Haunting Changes Avalon Endgame

Avalon shifts to a nighttime setting during The Haunting, with existing activities, assignments, and hostile factions continuing to operate in the gloomier environment

Additionally, The Forbidden Summoning Event debuts as a new World Event. Players must break seals to summon a new threat, then team up to defeat it and earn rewards. Compared to the extensive additions in other modes, changes to Endgame focus more on atmosphere and a major new event.

New Weapons

CoD Bo7 introduces four new weapons in Season 6.

VMP is a fully automatic SMG featuring a high fire rate, responsive handling, and a 40-round base magazine - ideal for close-quarters suppression and rapid repositioning.

TR51 Para is a semi-automatic Assault Rifle emphasizing high damage, low recoil, and long-range stability; it can also be converted to full-auto fire via a Prestige Attachment. Both weapons are available through Battle Pass.

Players testing new loadouts can also use Bo7 Bot Lobbies to compare weapon handling and adjust their setups before taking them into regular matches.

Arcblade is a melee weapon offering fast attack speed and medium range, unlockable via seasonal events.

Roc 20mm is a semi-automatic Special Weapon firing high-power 20mm rounds; it boasts exceptional single-shot damage and range, though recoil and handling speeds present significant trade-offs. It is also obtained through events.

What Can Players Unlock This Season?

Season 6 Battle Pass continues to offer Operators, Weapon Blueprints, and other standard rewards, while BlackCell adds Revenant Operator and a new Mastercraft Blueprint.

In terms of events, Camo Costume Party allows players to unlock Arcblade and various weapon camos through weapon challenges across different modes, while DOOM Event Pass offers crossover rewards such as Doom Slayer Operator, Doom Guy skin, and Roc 20mm.

CoD Bo7 Season 6 transforms The Haunting into a game-wide event, with the most significant changes focused on Warzone, Zombies, and the expanding crossover between Zombies and Multiplayer.
