Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Anathema of the Primes Ultimate Farming Guide: How to Get Andariel's Loot Hoard?

Anathema of the Primes is a Warlock-exclusive Unique sword in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred. The fastest way to farm it is to kill Andariel on Torment 1 or higher using Greater Lair Keys. Other methods, such as Horadric Cube upgrades and endgame event drops, have a much lower chance.

In Diablo 4's expansion Lord of Hatred endgame system, a brand-new Warlock-exclusive Unique Two-Handed Sword, Anathema of the Primes, is reshaping the power ceiling for Demon Form build.

As a core gear objective of Lord of Hatred, this weapon not only provides a significant damage bonus but also fundamentally changes Warlock's resource management logic.

Diablo 4's Lord of Hatred completely reworked Lair Boss system, introducing a universal key system and expanding Boss roster. Anathema of the Primes is the version's answer weapon that emerges in this context.

With this weapon, Warlock players can enjoy an unprecedentedly smooth experience, whether speed farming materials or raiding elite clusters.Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred Anathema of the Primes Ultimate Farming Guide: How to Get Andariel's Loot Hoard?

Core Mechanics

Diablo 4 Anathema of the Primes is a Unique Two-Handed Sword exclusively for Warlock class, its value far exceeding its stats. Understanding its effects and resource conversion rules is a prerequisite for efficient farming.

Unique Effect

The core effect of Anathema of the Primes in Diablo 4 is: after hitting an enemy with a Core Skill, it increases the damage that enemy takes from you by 15%-20%, and this effect stacks. This means that when continuously attacking the same target, damage output will increase in a tiered manner.

All Archfiend Demon Form skills are Core Skills that consume Wrath, replacing traditional class resources. This mechanism allows Warlocks to continuously cast high-damage skills in their transformed state, completely eliminating the problem of energy shortages. In combat, players only need to focus on Wrath acquisition cycle to maintain the full stack damage increase effect.

Conversion Value

For mainstream Warlock Demon Form builds, Anathema of the Primes is a truly essential piece of equipment. It allows movement skills and main damage skills to use Wrath simultaneously, greatly simplifying the operation logic.

When speed farming, players can spam movement skills and area-of-effect attacks, which dramatically boosts map clearing speed. In boss fights, stacking independent vulnerability debuffs combined with other damage-boosting affixes can maximize the damage output of a single burst window.

Therefore, any endgame build centered around Demon Form should prioritize Diablo 4 Anathema of the Primes as its primary endgame objective.

Efficient Acquisition Methods

There are three main ways to farm Anathema of the Primes, ranked by efficiency as follows: targeted boss farms, Horadric Cube upgrade gambles, and random drops from endgame events.

Targeted Boss Farms

The only known Greater Lair boss that reliably drops Anathema of the Primes is Andariel. You need to consume one Greater Lair Key to unlock the loot hoard after Andariel fight.

So, how do you obtain Greater Lair Key? Lord of Hatred has introduced two new universal keys: Lair Key and Greater Lair Key.

Lair Keys are reliably obtained by completing endgame events on Torment 1 difficulty or higher. After obtaining a Lair Key, use it to defeat any Initiate Lair Boss. Each battle consumes 1 Lair Key to unlock loot and guarantees 1 Greater Lair Key as a reward.

The sole purpose of Greater Lair Key is to unlock the loot hoard of Greater Boss, with Andariel being the target that drops Anathema of the Primes. The farming route is therefore very clear: accumulate Lair Keys - farm Initiate Bosses for Greater Lair Keys - focus on challenging Andariel.

Note that players must defeat Andariel on Torment 1 or higher difficulty. No Unique weapons will drop in any level below Torment difficulty, so increasing your world level is a prerequisite.

Andariel is located in Hanged Man's Hall, with the entrance in eastern Kehjistan, adjacent to Tarsarak waypoint. Furthermore, players must complete Lord of Hatred campaign to unlock the endgame area and Horadric Cube system before they can properly enter Lair.

Horadric Cube

Players can collect common-quality Two-Handed Swords from endgame content at Torment 1 and above. Then, using Horadric Cube upgrade recipe updated in Lord of Hatred, they can randomly upgrade a common Two-Handed Sword to a Unique version.

This process has a chance to directly obtain Diablo 4 Anathema of the Primes. However, the success rate of this method is low, and it consumes a large amount of crafting materials. It's more suitable for using surplus Two-Handed Swords accumulated during key farming.

Endgame Areas

In the highest-level Nightmare Dungeons, Escalating Nightmare Dungeons, and Helltide events, elite enemies and reward chests have a very low chance of directly dropping Anathema of the Primes. However, this probability is much lower than the loot hoard in Andariel, and it cannot be targeted. This method is only suitable as a side activity while farming keys and is not recommended as a primary strategy.

Anathema of the Primes is the best-in-slot weapon for Lord of Hatred Warlock Demon Form in Diablo 4. Its unique damage amplification and resource conversion mechanism greatly enhances map clearing and boss kill capabilities.

The only reliable way to obtain it is by defeating Andariel in Torment 1 or higher difficulty levels, consuming Greater Lair Keys. Players need to accumulate key resources through cycles of Helltide and Initiate Bosses, repeatedly farming the corresponding caches to lock in this core weapon for multiple builds within a reasonable timeframe.
