Diablo 4's Wildest Crossover Yet: Unlock Every Doom-Themed Reward in Season 12 Before It Disappears!

Recently, Diablo 4 announced a collaboration event with Doom: The Dark Ages during the first week of Season 12, which includes many cosmetic rewards and chests to claim. This guide will introduce them one by one.

Mar 11, 2026 Author: EZG

At this moment, all of Diablo 4 players' attention should be focused on Season 12: Season of Slaughter, which was released at 10:00 AM PST on March 11th, due to its retro Killstreaks System and the novel feature that transforms the explorer into the villain Butcher, which has a blend of old and new gameplay.

Alongside the new season, the developers also launched a brand-new IP collaboration event with Doom: The Dark Ages, featuring numerous cosmetic rewards with a strong thematic focus. While this is Diablo 4's first collaboration with a game not affiliated with the same developer, the shared theme of slaying the demonic forces of Hell makes it feel natural.Diablo 4's Wildest Crossover Yet: Unlock Every Doom-Themed Reward in Season 12 Before It Disappears!

So when and how should D4 players claim all the rewards from this collaboration event? You can find the answer to this question in this guide provided by EZG.com. In addition, here will also provide some evidence-based speculation on the remaining IP collaboration events for Diablo 4 in 2026 and the game content they contain. Enough chit-chat, let's kick off the collaboration extravaganza!

Release Date

This collaboration event will begin at 10:00 AM Pacific Time on March 11, coinciding with the release of the latest Season 12, Season of Slaughter, and is expected to end at 10:00 AM on March 18. During this week, you can collect over ten cosmetic items themed around Doom The Dark Ages. Some can be claimed for free, while others require you to complete some simple tasks.

Although the developers haven't made it clear whether these cosmetic items will return after this collaboration ends, all players are hoping that, like the previous Berserk collaboration, all rewards will be available in Reliquary after the event, which would only require some Diablo 4 Gold, instead of an indefinite wait.

How to Claim Rewards?

During the event, you can earn special event tokens, Dark Age currency, by defeating Elite and Champion enemies in Diablo IV, which can be used to exchange cosmetic items for Event Reliquary. This reliquary contains ten Doom: The Dark Ages-themed cosmetics, all inspired by the game's arsenal, each worth 100 Dark Ages Currency. The following is a list of confirmed rewards.

  • Shield Saw - Weapon Cosmetic
  • Slayer's Flail - Weapon Cosmetic
  • Cyberdemon Head - Back Trophy
  • Forsaken Gates Town Portal - Final Reward
  • And More Weapon Cosmetic & Character Decorations

In addition to the free reliquary, this collaboration also includes a paid premium reliquary, which contains Doom Slayer Armor, Mecha Dragon Serrat Cat Mount Skin, and Cacodemon pet, all applicable to all classes. However, these rewards are sold individually from in-game shop on March 12, 2026, at 12 pm PT, costing approximately $20-$30 each.

Meanwhile, Diablo 4 also introduced some free rewards that could be claimed upon login, which was convenient for players who didn't want to rely on tedious farming of monsters to obtain unique cosmetic rewards. You can receive the following specific badges if you start the game and log in successfully at the designated time.

  • March 11, 12 pm PT - Dark Before the Dawn
  • March 13, 12 pm PT - Grandeur of the Gutted
  • March 15, 12 pm PT - Rip and Tear

If you think this collaboration only offers these two rewards, you're being too naïve. During the event, Lair Bosses in Diablo 4 have a chance to drop Doom Chests, which include unique items with Doom Crucible-themed transmogs. While these don't provide significantly increased offensive damage, they do encourage you to challenge high-tier bosses and climb the leaderboards in Season of Slaughter.Buy Diablo 4 Gold and Items in 8% OFF with KILL Code from EZG.com to Get Smooth Process in S12

What Other Possible Collaborations Are There?

To date, Diablo 4 has collaborated with several games from the same developer and a comic book with a similar style called Berserk. So this collaboration with Doom: The Dark Ages breaks with tradition and brings unprecedentedly generous rewards, which has excited all players.

In fact, Blizzard mentioned annual crossover events in its 2025 roadmap, which means that there will be crossover events almost every year from now on. So which IPs are likely to have future collaborations with Diablo 4? The first guess is that it's Elder Scrolls series and Fallout series, which belong to the same developer as Doom: The Dark Ages.

Based on feedback from the community, a collaboration between D4 and the former seems more likely, since players use medieval weapons in both games, and both have strong fantasy elements and magic systems. If they were to collaborate, the first to adopt ES series theme would definitely be Daedric Armor, followed by Daedric Weapon transmogs, as they share an extremely high degree of similarity.

Alternatively, to align with the pet-carrying feature in Elder Scrolls, D4 could add Flame, Frost, and Storm Atronach pets, as well as a town portal skin with an Oblivion Gate theme, and so on. Personally, I'm not optimistic about a collaboration with Fallout. It's difficult for a survival game and a role-playing game to have a perfect collaboration.

However, some players have suggested adding the iconic T-60 Power Armor from Fallout to provide enhanced defense; or introducing melee weapons like Super Sledge, Shishkebab, and Ripper than entirely new item types into Sanctuary; or adding a Dogmeat pet; Deathclaw Headback Trophy would also be a good new cosmetic item; and Vault Door town portal would perfectly capture Fallout theme.

While none of the collaborations mentioned above have been explicitly confirmed by the developers, it is undeniable that collaborations between Diablo 4 and these IPs under Bethesda are perhaps the most suitable. Anyway, just a reminder that D4 x Doom: The Dark Ages collaboration is about to begin.
