Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR Tier List: Best Class Rankings and Meta Breakdown

This article introduces the class tier list in Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR, mainly based on player discussions and in-game data, dividing all classes into T0, T1, T2, and T3.

Jun 10, 2026 Author: EZG

Many Diablo 4 players have already spent several days exploring the various gameplay elements of Season 14 PTR, including new equipment, game modes, and mechanics. Of course, some classes have also been slightly tweaked.

In this new environment, the performance of each class will vary. Based on player experiences shared on forums during their time playing various classes in PTR, I've compiled a class strength ranking.

Next, I will introduce the class ranking in descending order of strength, along with analysis, to help players gain a clearer understanding of classes in S14.Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR Tier List: Best Class Rankings and Meta Breakdown

Tier 0: Rogue and Barbarian

Rogue

Rogue is considered by some players to be the strongest class in S14 PTR.

It possesses the core skill Penetrating Shot, which can penetrate multiple enemies in a straight line, and Poison Imbuement, which adds poison damage to weapons. Combined with Twisting Blades, it can clear large areas of enemies.

Because of its numerous powerful skills, Rogue boasts the most powerful builds, the highest damage ceiling, and the most diverse playstyles in S14 PTR.

Barbarian

Although Barbarian suffered both direct and indirect nerfs in PTR, test data clearly shows that Barbarian remains one of the strongest classes in Season 14 PTR and one of the most popular classes among Diablo 4 players.

It has an extremely rich variety of powerful builds: Whirlwind build remains strong; Minion Barb build has made a comeback; and Rend build is equally popular.

Surprisingly, even after significant nerfs, some players are still using a unique build centered around Melted Heart of Selig unique ability, and its performance in actual combat is still acceptable.

Tier 1: Druid and Spiritborn

Druid

Druid's performance in Diablo 4 S14 PTR can be described as "satisfactory". While not boasting the dazzling top-tier performance of Rogue and Barbarian, Druid maintains a respectable competitive edge thanks to a series of optimizations and adjustments.

For example, its Storm-based skills have received a comprehensive upgrade, and Tornado's gameplay has become smoother due to skill mechanic optimizations - the enhanced Cooldown reduction effect significantly improves the gaming experience.

Druid also offers a variety of builds, with Boulder Build, Landslide Build, and Pulverize Build all powerful enough to support players tackling T12 difficulty dungeons.

Spiritborn

Spiritborn's defining characteristic is its single dominant build - Evade Counterswarm Build.

Some players have used this build to speedrun The Pit to level 110 in under a minute, while others have used it to quickly defeat T12 difficulty dungeon bosses, making it one of the most efficient builds in Season 14 PTR.

However, other Spiritborn builds generally perform only moderately well. Rock Splitter Build is barely playable, and other builds are far inferior to Evade Counterswarm Build.

Therefore, this is a class with polarized playstyles. If you happen to enjoy Evade Counterswarm Build's combat style, it will provide an excellent experience.

Tier 2: Sorcerer and Paladin

Sorcerer

Sorcerer performed reasonably well in Diablo 4 S14 PTR. While Sorcerer no longer possesses top-tier abilities, its excellent survivability and diverse playstyle options make it a class worth considering.

Among its builds, Firewall Build was the primary choice for PTR players, Meteor Build also performed well, but Ball Lightning Build's strength has noticeably decreased.

However, Sorcerer's unique advantage lies in Teleport - it grants this class unparalleled map traversal speed. If you equip gear like Raiment of the Infinite, you can significantly enhance its survivability.

Paladin

Paladin's performance in S14 PTR was decent, though not a dominant build. Players who enjoy its combat style can still use it for most gameplay aspects.

Blessed Hammer build maintained its strength; while Fist of the Heavens build can be used for farming materials in lower-difficulty dungeons, but due to its feel and mechanics, it may not be the primary choice for tackling higher-difficulty dungeons.

Tier 3: Necromancer

Necromancer's situation in Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR is regrettable, as it suffers from three serious problems.

Issue 1: Inferior DPS

Necromancer's clear record in The Pit is extremely low, the worst among all classes. This is likely due to an unreasonable DPS design for Necromancer.

Issue 2: Defensive Collapse

Regardless of build you choose, your Necromancer often requires specific unique helmets, unique pants, and sometimes even a unique chestplate.

However, these unique items offer almost no defensive stats, leaving Necromancer with virtually no room to stack defensive attributes.

Issue 3: Lack of Core Skills

None of the stronger Necromancer builds focus on their core skill, and their basic skill is largely ignored.

Unless the developers make urgent changes before the official release, Necromancer will struggle to participate in the high-difficulty gameplay of S14.

This concludes the class strength rankings from Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR. The official release of S14 is expected around July 1st. If you want to adjust your build, you'll need to prepare suitable Uniques in advance.

However, farming Uniques in-game is not easy and is very time-consuming. A better method is to buy Diablo 4 Uniques from EZG.com after Season 14 officially launches. We offer 24/7 service and the best prices.

This ranking is primarily based on player discussions and in-game data, and contains some subjective factors, so it should only be used as a reference. Regardless of strength, the best class is the one that provides you with an enjoyable gaming experience.
