In PvP games, anti-cheat systems are always crucial. If there are too many cheaters, legitimate players will quickly leave, and the game can eventually devolve into a battle between cheaters and their cheats.

Call of Duty series has been fighting cheaters for years, but the problem is extremely difficult to eliminate completely. The official team behind Modern Warfare 4 has now introduced a new layer of anti-cheat protection called Server Culling, with the goal of significantly limiting the effectiveness of wall hacks in the game.

What is Server Culling?

Cheats can read the data sent to the client, translate the positions and character states of other players, and then overlay that information onto the player's screen. This allows cheaters to see enemies through walls and determine what they are doing.

Server Culling takes a completely different approach. It creates occlusion layers on the server side, and these layers correspond to surfaces within the map.

When an enemy is behind an occlusion layer and outside your line of sight, the server simply does not send that player's positional data to your client.

The data never reaches the client, while cheats need client-side data to function. Without that data, a wall hack has no way to know where an enemy is or what state they are in, so it naturally cannot display them.

More importantly, cheats cannot access server-side data and can only access information available on the client itself. That makes this technology highly effective against wall hacks.

How Does Server Culling Work?

Limitations Of The New System

Many players were unhappy about the official team revealing this mechanism, arguing that it effectively gives cheat developers a blueprint. By the time the game officially launches, cheat developers may already have found ways around it.

In general, anti-cheat systems should avoid revealing too many details because the more information available, the easier it becomes for cheat developers to look for workarounds.

In this case, however, there is no real workaround to the core mechanism because the data simply does not exist on the client. As long as the data is not present on the client, cheats have nothing to access and therefore cannot use it. That is exactly why this approach is particularly effective against wall hacks.

Of course, this does not mean Modern Warfare 4 will completely eliminate all forms of cheating. Ace emphasized that this is simply another layer of protection added on top of the existing anti-cheat systems.

Cheating and anti-cheat measures will always be a cat-and-mouse game, and cheaters will continue looking for loopholes. Whenever the official team announces improvements to its anti-cheat measures, there is bound to be some form of pushback.

Advanced Cheat Threats

This anti-cheat system can only address part of the problem. CoD MW4 will also need to defend against DMA cheats.

DMA stands for Direct Memory Access. It allows cheaters to run cheat software on a second computer and then display the resulting information on the main gaming monitor through some form of overlay. Since the actual software runs on another computer, this approach can potentially bypass anti-cheat systems entirely.

If a DMA wall hack also retrieves player positions from the game in the same way, it should also be affected by Server Culling upgrade.

However, DMA can also be used to run an aimbot from a second PC. This is one of the biggest concerns surrounding DMA because it is extremely difficult to detect.

Another concern is bulletproof accounts. These accounts are essentially immune to large numbers of reports. They can cheat openly and aggressively, yet when you report them, an error may appear saying that the profile cannot be retrieved.

At least based on the attitude demonstrated by the official team, the response to cheating in COD MW4 is being taken very seriously. However, because the cheating industry is so large, more new techniques will continue to emerge. Developers will need to come up with increasingly creative ways to deter the large number of cheaters.

When you break through the midfield and enter the opponent's box, you are almost within striking distance of a goal, but you still need to get past the defensive players inside the box.

The good news is that FIFA 27 has weakened AI defending, which means your opponent needs to take manual control to stop you. The current Box 1v1 meta revolves around constantly moving the ball from side to side, waiting for AI defenders to leave an opening and then creating a shooting opportunity. So, how exactly should you move? You can use the following moves:

1. Lane Change (La Croqueta)
2. Fake Shot Stop and Fake Shot
3. Ball Roll
4. Elastico
5. Drag Back and Half Drag Back

Lane Change (La Croqueta)

Lane Change allows your player to quickly push the ball across their body with their foot, helping them move laterally past a defender.

You only need to hold the L1 button while holding the right analog stick up or down for about one and a half seconds. It is a four-star skill move, so the player needs four-star skill moves to perform it.

This is not a new move, but it has one change in FC 27. You can perform Lane Change while sprinting at high speed, which makes it particularly effective for creating shooting angles inside the box.

You can use it both while running and while standing still with the ball. The key is simply to hold L1 and move the right analog stick up or down for about one and a half seconds.

You can perform a Fake Shot Stop first, follow it with Lane Change, and then shoot immediately. This can create an angle inside the box, while defenders often fail to react in time. You can then use the change of pace to move into the open space.

Fake Shot Stop and Fake Shot

The operation for Fake Shot Stop is to release your directional input while running and then perform a fake shot without adding any directional input.

You can use Circle + X or Square + X. The effect is that your player suddenly stops, leaving the defender stuck in place. You can then follow up with a La Croqueta or immediately create a shooting angle.

The regular Fake Shot is one of the most underrated skill moves in FC 27. You need to press the shoot button and immediately press the pass button, and the input has to be very quick. If you press it too slowly, the move will not activate.

The biggest advantage of Fake Shot is that you can exit in any direction within 360 degrees. If you want to move toward the upper right, simply perform Fake Shot toward the upper right.

If you are using a five-star skiller, Fake Shot can also turn into a Scoop Turn. This makes Fake Shot extremely versatile, allowing you to move right, forward, backward, or diagonally.

In actual matches, you can use a first-time Fake Shot to create space before receiving the ball. By the time the ball reaches your feet, you have already created an angle, forcing the opponent to panic. They may either attempt a reckless tackle or simply fail to react in time.

You can also use a Fake Shot to beat the goalkeeper. When the goalkeeper rushes out, perform a Fake Shot toward one side and then finish into the open goal.

A Fake Shot can also give you a burst of speed, especially when the opponent is Parking the Bus and defending deep. Perform a Fake Shot upward or diagonally into space, then sprint into the opening.

You can also perform a Fake Shot after receiving the ball, move the ball backward, take another touch, and then use a Finesse Shot to attack the angle. This move has no star requirement, so anyone can perform it, including goalkeepers.

Ball Roll

Before using this technique, you first need to turn off Simplified Skill Moves.

The input is to hold the right analog stick up or down for about one and a half seconds. Do not flick it, or it will become a Step Over. Do not hold it for too long either, or the player will perform consecutive Ball Rolls. The requirement is very low, so any player can perform it.

Ball Roll may be one of the most commonly used skill moves in FUT 27. Its main advantage is ball protection. When there are several defenders around you, a normal turn requires multiple touches and makes it easier for the ball to be taken away.

When you use Ball Roll, your body shields the ball while quickly changing direction. You can also use Ball Roll to create passing lanes by rolling around a defender before playing the pass.

Elastico

Elastico is a five-star skill move that only a limited number of players can perform, such as Vinicius, Mbappe, and Dembele. If you want to use this move, you will need to invest in these elite players with FIFA 27 coins.

Elastico has two variations, Reverse Elastico and the regular Elastico. The player quickly pushes the ball in one direction with their foot and then instantly moves it back in the opposite direction.

You can rotate from the 12 o'clock position counterclockwise toward 6 o'clock, or from 6 o'clock toward 12 o'clock. The direction depends on which way the player is facing. Many players think the skill move has failed to activate when the real issue is that they have overlooked the player's relative facing direction.

In terms of usage, Elastico is particularly effective for creating shooting angles inside the box. You can perform an Elastico immediately after receiving the ball to move into open space and then shoot. You can also perform a Fake Shot Stop first to bring the ball to a stop before using Elastico.

Drag Back and Half Drag Back

The input for this Skill Move is to hold the L1 and R1 buttons while pulling the left analog stick backward, and any player can perform it.

It is particularly useful for pulling the ball away from a defender inside the box before taking a shot. You can also pull the ball at a 45-degree angle, or use a Drag Back to escape when the opponent has pushed you into a corner. Along the wing, you do not necessarily have to pull the ball completely backward.

You can use the left analog stick to move right, cut inside, or continue forward, allowing you to change your direction by 90 degrees.

Skill Moves mentioned above require four-star or even five-star skill moves to perform, and some of them have a relatively high execution difficulty. It is best to practice them repeatedly in Practice Arena before bringing them into actual matches.

The biggest announcement at BlizzCon was WoW Forever, an MMO that will use a completely different update model from WoW Classic and Season of Discovery. Simply put, players will be able to experience a permanent and ever-expanding Azeroth.

The official team has already revealed WoW Forever roadmap through Summer 2027, so let's take a look at what content will arrive over the coming months.

Closed Beta

WoW Forever is currently in its closed beta phase, which will run until October 22. During this testing period, the character progression cap is set at Level 30, giving players a chance to try the new Skyborn race, new class combinations, and revamped low-level zones.

It is important to note that all character progression made during the test, including levels, gear, WoW Forever gold, and other progress, will be wiped before the official launch. Full Launch And First Raids

November 4 is the major launch date for World of Warcraft: Forever. However, what really matters to players interested in the raid schedule is December 9 raid release:

The December 9 raid package includes both familiar content and new content, but there is no Molten Core. For many Classic-era players, this could be the first time they see a Classic launch without Molten Core.

Hardcore Mode

After the first raid cycle, World of Warcraft: Forever Hardcore will launch. Players will have to wait until at least after December 9 before they can enter Hardcore mode.

Most players may want to experience a full run of World of Warcraft: Forever first before taking on Hardcore mode. There is simply too much to experience during the first run, so launching Hardcore slightly later makes sense.

Looking at the timing, many more hardcore-focused players will gradually reach Level 60 after December, while raid participation will naturally decline after the initial launch excitement settles down. Hardcore mode could become the next major point of renewed player activity, although the official team has not provided a specific date yet.

New Raids In Spring

WoW Classic+ roadmap mentions two new raids for Spring, with one designed for 10 players and the other for 20 players.

Most future raids may focus on 10-player and 20-player formats. This could be influenced by data from Season of Discovery as well as community feedback, since many players prefer smaller raids because they are easier to organize and involve fewer logistical issues.

However, the official team has not completely abandoned 40-player content. Raids such as Naxxramas will still retain the 40-player format.

As for what those two new raids actually are, there is currently only room for speculation. Scarlet Enclave could become one of them. The reason is that the official team has already carried out extensive testing and development for it, while also laying down a considerable amount of groundwork.

New Quests In Spring

The roadmap also mentions expanding the quest content and adding new playable areas, which could indicate the introduction of expanded questing zones. Overall, this suggests that the official team will continue expanding Azeroth. Hopefully, the new content will not simply consist of discovering new islands, but will instead expand the world in a more natural way.

There is also a new Legendary questline worth watching. The official team has not explained what it is about, but it could be connected to Scarlet Enclave, the two new raids, or new dungeons. The new dungeons are also likely to be Level 60 or above, or Classic+ dungeons designed for Level 60 characters.

Summer Raids

Among the content announced by the official team, raids remain one of the areas players are most interested in. The Summer update will include a Revamped Iconic Raid and a New Raid.

The revamped raid could very well be Molten Core. The game's Executive Producer previously discussed the game launching in a state set before Molten Core, while Molten Core is one of the most iconic early raids and should not require players to wait for years before seeing it return.

The revamped raid could also be Naxxramas. The roadmap is connecting a large amount of undead-related storytelling with Scarlet Monastery and Scarlet Enclave, while Naxxramas was introduced relatively hastily during the original Classic era.

The official team could have an opportunity to improve it, potentially making the experience more complete than its return during Wrath of the Lich King. Many Classic players still have never experienced Naxxramas in full, so this possibility also has some basis.

According to the roadmap, players will first receive two new raids in the Spring update. Combined with the three new raids mentioned earlier, that means five completely new raids before a revamped Classic-era raid arrives in Summer.

Other Summer Update Content

The major Summer update will also include expanded world content and two new dungeons. Assuming these dungeons are entirely new experiences, they will join the dungeons already announced at BlizzCon. They are likely to be designed for Level 60 or above, with an emphasis on horizontal progression rather than directly replacing the loot from existing dungeons or raids.

The PvP season will also reset, but aside from the overall schedule, there is currently not much information to interpret. What is truly worth watching is Professions and Legacy update.

By next Summer, most players will have at least one Level 60 character, making it the right time to provide additional reasons to develop alts and embark on new leveling journeys.

The foundation of the Professions and Legacy systems shown at BlizzCon looks solid, but the perks revealed so far are not particularly exciting. For example, achievements such as reaching Level 45 are only the most basic form of progression.

The systems available when the game officially launches on November 4 are expected to be relatively simple. By next Summer, however, these systems could really come to life and help WoW Forever continue running as a long-term MMO.

Overall, WoW Forever's update model is somewhat similar to Guild Wars 2 or OSRS, with the official team continuously adding new content to Azeroth. However, this approach could eventually make the game too bloated, so the official team may eventually choose to introduce some content on a rotating basis.

As a fast-paced action MMORPG set in the skies, Aion 2 requires the repeated use of various skills within fluid combat rotations. However, for new players, constantly pressing the same keys can quickly become exhausting.

Fortunately, Aion 2 features a flexible macro system that can automate parts of core skill rotations while leaving critical decisions—such as positioning, target selection, and the timing of long-cooldown skills—in the player's hands.

If you want to move away from complex, repetitive inputs and improve skill chaining, the macro system is an essential mechanic you won't want to overlook in Aion 2.

How Does Aion 2 Macro System Work?

The macro system in Aion 2 is based on a skill priority mechanism. You can place multiple skills into a single vertical slot—stacking them like a tower—and then cycle through and execute them one by one by pressing a designated key.

The steps to create a basic macro sequence are as follows:

1. Select a skill and assign it to a hotbar slot.
2. Place related skills vertically within that same slot.
3. Arrange the skills according to priority.
4. Bind the macro function to a convenient key.
5. Hold down the macro key to cycle through and cast the selected skills.

Remember, skills lower in the stack have higher priority, followed by the skill above them, and so on. More importantly, you can not only set priorities within a single vertical stack but also combine multiple stacks into a larger macro, establishing an overall priority for this stack of stacks.

Additionally, you can configure the delay between commands. The default delay is 10 milliseconds; this provides a brief input interval to ensure the command sequence executes smoothly without errors caused by processing commands too rapidly. Of course, advanced players can experiment with longer delay times to find the optimal balance based on specific skill and rotation requirements.

Using Macros for Basic Attacks

One of the most practical uses of the macro system is to handle tedious, repetitive basic attacks.

Compared to the demands of endgame boss encounters, basic attacks primarily serve as a means to generate resources and replenish what was consumed by powerful skills. Furthermore, they can trigger animation canceling; a black afterimage appearing on your character indicates that the animation cancel has successfully triggered.

By holding down the macro key (which includes the basic attack command), the macro will cycle through skills based on priority, build resources via basic attacks, and cancel skill recovery animations whenever possible.

However, macros cannot handle everything for you. You still need to maintain proper positioning, actively target and lock onto the right enemies, manually trigger important long-cooldown skills, and use buffs, movement abilities, and defensive skills as the situation demands. This approach simplifies highly repetitive, mechanical actions while improving the fluidity of your skill rotations.

Skill Priorities for Macros

Generally, unless a class gains significant benefits from doing so, you should avoid including long-cooldown skills—especially Stigma skills—in your leveling macros. 

Many have long cooldowns; if triggered automatically, you might waste a key skill on a weak enemy. For instance, you might want to save a long-cooldown skill for an elite monster or boss, but the macro could expend it on a common mob instead.

Therefore, it is recommended to assign skills that require precise timing or have long cooldowns to their own dedicated hotkeys.

Early-Game Macro Tips for Every Class

Elementalist (or Spiritmaster)

Elementalist's leveling skill rotation is relatively tight. Effective use of macros allows you to cycle through your elemental spirits and core resource-consuming skills, while prioritizing the use of Elemental Fusion whenever it is available.

Soul's Cry is a key skill that requires manual control. Save these for elite monsters, formidable foes, or critical burst windows, rather than letting a macro use them indiscriminately.

Templar

Templar's early-game skill rotation centers primarily on Judgment. You can prioritize this skill within your macro while keeping situational skills separate for manual use.

Shield Rush and Annihilate can be combined into a combo targeting powerful single enemies. Poach is useful for pulling targets into attack range, whereas Punishment is a charged attack that should be cast manually to maximize damage.

Chanter

Chanter's core skill rotation can be streamlined using a macro centered on Dark Crush and other frequently used abilities.

Rushing Smash is a crucial manual skill for Chanter, featuring a short cooldown and a gap-closing dash. We recommend using it to quickly close the distance before proceeding with the standard rotation in your macro.

Sorcerer

Sorcerer class demands high mechanical skill, as gameplay relies heavily on skill combinations and synergies. Furthermore, certain skills require you to stand still while casting, rendering you immobile during use.

If you dislike being rooted in place while casting powerful, long-cooldown ultimate skills, a simple leveling macro is essential; many skills unlock the ability to cast while moving as you level up.

A key point to remember is to plan your usage of Hellfire. This is Sorcerer's core skill and the engine behind the class's burst potential. It starts with a 45-second cooldown, which decreases as the skill level rises.

Once you unlock specific synergies or specializations, Hellfire gains the ability to be cast while moving—an incredibly useful feature—so make upgrading it to this stage a priority. Because of these skill synergies, mastering the timing of Hellfire is far more important than simply bundling every skill into a single macro.

Cleric

Cleric's skill rotation in the early stages of Aion 2 is relatively straightforward. Your core setup can involve cycling through skills such as Chain of Torment, mark-related abilities, and Condemnation.

The only thing to note is that you should keep Divine Aura available for manual casting. This is a turret-like skill, best placed in an area where you anticipate staying to fight for an extended period.

As a support class with powerful healing and restorative capabilities, Cleric benefits from retaining manual control over key healing and support skills—especially when playing in a group.

Ranger

While Ranger can be played using very simple macros, performance improves significantly when certain specific skills are controlled manually.

Skills involving movement—such as Marking Shot and Explosion Trap—are prime examples; automating them with macros can often cause your character to move unexpectedly.

For a basic leveling setup, you can build your rotation around core skills like Drill Dart, Gale Arrow, and Burst Arrow, while manually controlling skills that involve significant movement or have long cooldowns.

Deadshot is another skill best cast manually when you need to unleash burst damage on a priority target.

Gladiator

Gladiator features one of the simplest macro setups in the early stages of Aion 2.

Your basic skill rotation can focus on Overhead Slam and Rending Blow, incorporating Keen Strike for standard attacks or resource generation.

However, we recommend excluding movement and gap-closing skills—such as Leaping Slam, Crushing Wave, and Rush Strike—from your main macro; this ensures you can use them flexibly to adjust your positioning when necessary.

For high-impact burst damage, simply save Ruinous Blow to cast manually at the right moment.

Assassin

Finally, for Assassin class—which relies heavily on positioning and backstabs—mobility skills (such as Shadowstrike, which allows you to close the gap quickly) should be your top priority for manual control, whereas the core skill rotation can be streamlined via macros.

The rest of your basic setup can involve cycling through target-marking abilities like Heart Gore and Savage Roar.

However, keep in mind that Assassins are relatively fragile; always retain direct control over your mobility and escape skills. Try to stay behind your target and use gap-closing skills strategically based on the situation. 

Macro Tips for Rookies

For those just starting out in Aion 2, it is important to remember that the macro system is designed to streamline core skill rotations, not to replace your real-time decision-making.

During the early leveling phase, it is best to build macros around frequently used skills that have short cooldowns or are easy to manage. However, skills requiring precise timing—such as long-cooldown abilities, movement skills, charged attacks, defensive maneuvers, and key Stigma skills—should be kept separate and not included in macros.

Well-optimized macros minimize wasted downtime between skill activations, thereby boosting leveling efficiency. This is particularly crucial when you are aiming for rapid progression while also managing Aion 2 Kinah for gear upgrades, consumables, and other character development costs.

Be sure to test your macros on training dummies. If a skill consistently triggers too early or too late, adjust the delay parameters rather than assuming the initial settings are perfect.

As your character levels up, acquires new skills, and develops more advanced builds, you should continue to refine your macro settings.

In short, Aion 2 macro system significantly reduces repetitive button-mashing while preserving the interactive nature of combat. Simple macros can handle most basic rotations, resource management, and animation-canceling, freeing you to focus on positioning, target selection, combat mechanics, and the timing of key skills—so why not take advantage of them?

However, avoid over-reliance on macros. For beginners, the best strategy is to start with simple core macros; as you familiarize yourself with skill effects and deepen your understanding of your class, you can gradually increase the complexity of your macro setups.

Of course, these suggestions serve only as a starting point rather than a definitive rotation. Be sure to experiment with skill priorities and delay parameters as you refine your build.

How It Works?

Step 1: Visit a Friend's Board

You can initiate a Trick or Treat attempt by visiting other players' boards through the event interface. This makes the event social - you're not playing against game AI, but interacting directly with other players' boards.

Step 2: Choose One of Five Houses

Once you enter an opponent's board, you'll see five houses. You must choose one, which is the key decision point of the game. These houses are like a game of hide-and-seek: some houses hide Treat, but at least one house hides Ghost.

Step 3: The Outcome

If your chosen house contains a Treat, the visit continues. However, be aware that a successful selection may trigger a dice duel - a quick competitive mechanic where you and your opponent roll dice. If both roll the same number, both receive a reward.

This mechanic differs from Shut Downs or Bank Heists, where one player's gain comes at the expense of the other.

If your chosen house contains a Ghost, the visit ends immediately. A Ghost represents a trap in Trick or Treat, abruptly ending your attempt with neither a duel nor a reward. However, you and your friend can retain the rewards earned from previously opened houses until the Ghost appears.

Rewards and Gifting Mechanism

Treats won in Trick or Treat fill Luck-O-Lantern's progress bar. Rewards can only be claimed once the bar is full. The rewards are diverse, including Dice, Sticker Packs, and Tokens.
