Burning Springs Update at the end of 2025 provided a splendid conclusion to Fallout 76‘s year, signaling a shift for this classic MMO.
Looking ahead to 2026, the developers have released their detailed roadmap early, though it currently only covers the first half of the year. While there are some recurring events, players can still anticipate two major updates, two new seasons, and a mini-season packed with new rewards! Let's delve into the official schedule, starting in March.

March Calendar
Fallout 76 has just welcomed a major new update titled "Backwoods." This update also heralds the beginning of Cryptids from Beyond the Cosmos season and introduces a host of other new features.
The most striking addition is the official arrival of Bigfoot in West Virginia. Furthermore, Four-Star Legendary enemies will now appear in all Public Events.
A comprehensive overhaul of all public events is underway, which includes adding legendary enemies to events, adjusting enemy spawn mechanics and timings, and more.
This update also brings numerous quality-of-life improvements to Pip-Boy menu and a rebalance of all armor stats in the game. Following this significant update, March will feature a series of diverse limited-time events.
March Event
Bigfoot's Bash
- Time: Throughout March
To maximize player encounters with this new creature, the spawn rate for Bigfoot at the conclusion of various Public Events has been significantly increased.
Defeating it will yield Four-Star Legendary gear. For those not participating in raids, this presents a viable alternative for obtaining four-star equipment.
Invaders from Beyond
- Time: March 10 - March 24
During the event, at the top of every hour, alien invasions will randomly trigger at multiple locations across Appalachia. Players must withstand waves of alien attackers and ultimately defeat an alien general to earn a Three-Star weapon as a reward.
Caps of Plenty
- Time: March 12 - March 16
Throughout this period, robot vendors from various factions will have double the usual number of Fallout 76 Bottle Caps available for trading. If you prefer not to use your own player vending machine, this is an excellent way to accumulate caps quickly.
Minerva's Big Sale
- Time: March 12 - March 16
The renowned Gold Bullion merchant, Minerva, returns with her special offers. She will be offering her plans at considerable discounts.
Double S.C.O.R.E Weekend
- Time: March 19 - March 23
During this event, every Daily and Weekly Challenge you complete will award double S.C.O.R.E points. It is highly recommended to save your weekly challenges for this period.
Double Mutations
- Time: March 19 - March 23
This event primarily affects Daily Ops. Throughout the event, enemies in Daily Ops will have double the number of mutation effects, but the rewards upon successful completion will also be doubled.

April Calendar
While April is still some time away, the developers have also outlined their plans. Although specific details for all events aren't known yet, "Rip Daring Mining Season" is certainly the highlight to watch for. Players can anticipate some very cool equipment and cosmetic items.
April also features a surprising event, Spooky Scorched, which is usually associated with Halloween, but this arrangement could also be related to April Fools' Day.
- April 7 - April 14: Mutated Public Events
- April 16 - April 20: Double S.C.O.R.E Weekend, Mutated Public Events, and Minerva's Big Sale
- April 21 - May 5: Rip Daring Mining Season, centered around Cryptids.
- April 28 - May 12: Spooky Scorched Event
- April 30 - May 4: Double S.C.O.R.E Weekend, Double Mutations, and Caps of Plenty
May Calendar
May also brings several anticipated limited-time events, with The Big Bloom being a notable highlight. This springtime event offers players a chance to earn unique weapon and apparel rewards.
- May 7 - May 11: Scrip Surplus event
- May 14 - May 18: Double Mutations and Treasure Hunters
- May 19 - June 2: The Big Bloom
- May 21 - May 25: Minerva's Big Sale and Murmrgh's Special Pick
- May 28 - June 1: Gold Rush
June Calendar
June will bring another major update and a new season. The official announcement only covers June so far. Along with the new season, there will be a whole month of packed events.
The official details of the new season in June haven't been released, but the two-week Meat Week event should be enough to get you excited.
- June 4 - June 8: Caps of Plenty
- June 9 - June 16: Mutated Public Events
- June 11 - June 15: Scrip Surplus event and Double Mutations
- June 18 - June 22: Double Mutations, Double S.C.O.R.E, Treasure Hunters, and Legendary Sale
- June 23 - July 7: Meat Week (for 2 weeks)
Some players might view the presence of recurring events with dissatisfaction. However, looking at it from another perspective, players will experience numerous major updates within four months. Many of the so-called recurring events on the 2026 roadmap are actually annual special events that drop unique rewards obtainable only during that specific event, such as The Big Bloom and Meat Week.
This schedule ensures something fresh and anticipated each month. Furthermore, the developers often enjoy surprising the player base with additional content and seasonal twists without prior announcement. The roadmap for the first half of the year is already filled with exciting prospects, and it's likely the team has plans prepared for the second half of 2026 as well.
