FC 27 6,000 FC Points Guide: Packs, Draft, or Evolutions for the Best Early Start

FC 27 Ultimate Edition includes 6,000 FC Points. Compare Packs, Online Drafts, early Promos, and Evolutions to find the best way to build Coins and strengthen your starter squad.

Sep 10, 2026 Author: EZG

For players planning to pick up FC 27 Ultimate Edition, 6,000 FC Points included with the pre-order represent a crucial resource for the game's early stages.

When the game first launches, Transfer Market prices fluctuate significantly; popular Gold players, as well as lower-rated cards suitable for SBCs and Evolutions, can often fetch high prices.

The question is: how should you spend these Points? Should you open Packs immediately, enter Online Drafts, save them for the first promo event, or hold onto them for Evolutions?

The returns vary greatly depending on the choice: some methods are better for quickly amassing coins, others rely on competitive skill, and some prioritize long-term squad value. Therefore, it is best to allocate these 6,000 FC Points in stages based on your personal playstyle.

How are 6,000 FC Points distributed?

6,000 FC Points included with Ultimate Edition are delivered in three monthly drops. The first 2,000 Points are granted when you first log in to FC 27, while the second and third 2,000-Point drops are delivered on the 15th of the following two months.

Standard Edition players do not receive these FC Points; consequently, for Ultimate Edition users, how these batches of resources are utilized can create a significant gap in early-game progress.

Option 1: Opening Packs

For most casual players, opening Packs directly is the simplest approach.

At the launch of an FC title, the store typically features basic Gold Packs. Based on previous titles, a basic Gold Pack costing around 150 FC Points would typically contain a mix of Gold players and club items - and these basic store packs are usually tradeable.

However, try to avoid Quick Selling low-rated cards during the first few days, as early market pricing is often highly volatile.

It is not uncommon for a player card with a Quick Sell value of only 200 - 300 coins to sell for 500 - 600 coins, or even more, on Transfer Market. Across a dozen packs, that price difference can easily add up to thousands - or even tens of thousands - of FIFA 27 coins.

Therefore, Packs route is ideal for players who want to avoid competitive pressure while quickly acquiring tradeable assets and resources to build a starter squad.

Option 2: Online Draft

If you are confident in your FC skills, the expected return from Online Drafts can be higher than simply buying standard Gold Packs.

Each Online Draft entry costs 300 FC Points. After entering, players build a squad from a random selection of players and compete in a knockout tournament of up to four matches. The more matches you win, the better the final rewards.

Your initial 2,000 FC Points cover about six Draft runs. For players who can consistently reach the semi-finals or finals, there is significant potential for profit here.

Draft rewards can include tradable packs, FIFA coins, Gold players, and even Silver players; early in the game's lifecycle, scarce cards suitable for SBCs or Evolutions can command high market prices.

If you frequently secure high-value packs, the total return from Drafts often exceeds what you would get from buying standard Gold Packs.

However, this route demands a high level of skill. If you are frequently eliminated in the first or second round, the quality of rewards suffers, and the return on your FC Points becomes much less efficient.

A safer approach is to play Rivals for a while first to familiarize yourself with the defensive rhythm, passing mechanics, and meta tactics of FUT 27. Once your Division and win rate stabilize, you can consider investing your remaining FC Points into Drafts.

Option 3: Wait for the First Promo

If you are willing to be patient, there is no rush to spend your initial batch of Points immediately.

A few weeks after FIFA 27 launch, early Promos and Promo Packs usually begin to appear. Compared to standard Gold Packs, these often feature a better pool of available cards and sometimes include a minimum rating guarantee.

The potential upside is huge. Pulling a popular meta card, a high-rated player, or an early promo card could net you tens or even hundreds of thousands of FIFA 27 coins from a single card. With a stroke of luck, you might even solve your early-game funding issues in one go.

Of course, this method relies most heavily on luck. A higher price tag for a Promo Pack doesn't guarantee items of equivalent tradable value; it is quite common to spend many FC Points only to pull standard high-rated cards.

Option 4: A Mix of Packs and Drafts

If you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket, splitting your resources between packs and Drafts is a balanced strategy.

Once the first batch of 2,000 FC Points arrives, you could use about half to open packs - building up your starter squad, consumables, and initial coin balance - while saving the rest for Draft mode or holding onto them until you are more familiar with FC 27 gameplay.

There is no need to be rigid about the allocation ratio; the key is to leave yourself some room to adjust. Another advantage of this approach is that FC Points are distributed in batches anyway.

During the first month after launch, you might still be getting a feel for the game's pace; by the time the later batches of points arrive, you will have played plenty of Rivals matches and gained a better understanding of squad building, market prices, and the level of competition in Draft.

Increasing your investment in Draft mode at that stage usually yields a higher success rate than diving straight in on day one.

Option 5: Evolutions

If you care more about your squad itself than your coin balance, Evolutions are worth considering.

In recent iterations of Ultimate Team, certain Evolutions can be unlocked using coins or FC Points. They allow specific players to improve their ratings, PlayStyles, attributes, and even positions by completing objectives.

The biggest difference compared to packs is the absence of RNG (random chance). You know exactly who your FC Points are being spent on and what the final player card will look like.

However, there is a clear downside: Evolutions increase squad value, but it is difficult to convert that value directly into liquid coins, unlike pulling a tradable item from a pack.

Regardless of the path you choose, keep a close eye on Transfer Market prices during the launch period. Many early-game Gold players, consumables, and players suitable for Evolutions or SBCs can sell for far more than their Quick Sell value.

Converting the tradable items you acquire into FC 27 coins - rather than chasing a single big-name player - will help you build a solid foundation for your team more effectively.
