Helldivers 2 Entrenched Division Warbond Drops March 17: New Weapons, Gas Mortar & Giga Grenade - Is It Worth 1000 Super Credits?

Helldivers 2's Entrenched Division Premium Warbond will launch on March 17th. This guide will introduce some of the key weapons included in this bond and whether it's worth having.

Mar 13, 2026 Author: EZG

Super Earth is about to unleash a new wave of firepower, with Helldivers 2 proclaiming the release of a new Premium Warbond: Entrenched Division on March 17th. Continuing its World War I theme, it includes trench warfare gear, experimental weapons, and themed skins.

While new war bonds always generate excitement, this announcement has sparked mixed reactions. Some players are thrilled by the historical theme and unique gear, while others are questioning whether the power of certain weapons justifies their price.Helldivers 2 Entrenched Division Warbond Drops March 17: New Weapons, Gas Mortar & Giga Grenade - Is It Worth 1000 Super Credits?

This guide will provide a comprehensive analysis of Entrenched Division Premium Warbond, including its potential impact on future gear in Helldivers 2.

World War 1 Theme

Like previous Premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2, Entrenched Division Premium Warbond is priced at 1,000 Super Credits. The overall design clearly draws inspiration from World War I trenches and weaponry, giving the gear a rare aesthetic in the game, imbued with the brutal atmosphere of war.Helldivers 2 Entrenched Division Premium Warbond

While cosmetic items always attract the most attention initially, most player discussions revolve around new weapons and strategies, as they have the potential to reshape the entire game.

G-48 Giga Grenade

One of the most eye-catching items in the trailer is G-48 Giga Grenade. Visually, this weapon resembles a makeshift anti-tank bomb, looking like several classic pineapple grenades strapped to a stick. In the video shown, Helldivers throw this grenade at an autonomous tank, its explosive force enough to destroy it instantly.

Of all the revealed items, G-48 Giga Grenade is perhaps the least controversial. Its purpose is clear: to inflict massive explosive damage on armored enemies. If its performance in-game matches the trailer, it will become one of the most reliable anti-vehicle weapons in high-difficulty missions.

SMG/FLAM-34 Stoker

The new SMG/FLAM-34 Stoker primary weapon hasn't fared so well, immediately drawing criticism from players.

This weapon appears to be a fusion of two existing weapons, resembling both SMG-37 Defender and P-72 Crisper's flamethrower design. Theoretically, this hybrid design sounds interesting, but the problem lies in the popularity of the two weapons it borrows from.

SMG-37 Defender currently has extremely low usage in Helldivers 2, with stats including:

  • 110 ballistic damage
  • 45-round magazine capacity
  • 520 rounds/minute rate of fire
  • Light armor penetration

Meanwhile, P-72 Crisper is also rarely used. Its range and functionality are very limited, with many players opting for more powerful secondary weapons.

Combining two unpopular weapons might create a unique weapon, but there's also the risk of players completely ignoring it. The final outcome largely depends on the power of SMG/FLAM-34 Stoker's flash assembly and whether it introduces a new flash mechanism.

P-69 Veto

P-69 Veto's secondary weapon remains a mystery. The trailer briefly showed the weapon using a magazine for loading, and its appearance is somewhat similar to a modified P-92 Warrant, but performance details remain unclear.

Currently, there are two development directions for this pistol: one is a high-capacity but weaker armor-piercing secondary weapon; the other is a low-capacity but medium or high armor-piercing weapon. Many hope for the latter. A powerful armor-piercing pistol might eventually rival P-4 Senator, which currently dominates the secondary weapon market.

New Armor Sets

Entrenched Division Premium Warbond adds two new armor sets: CPG-48 Sapper and CPH-26 Commandant. The former includes Grenadier's Shock Pad passive skill, which provides resistance to blast damage and additional throwable equipment, effectively combining elements of reinforcements and engineering kits—a significant advantage for players reliant on grenades and explosives.

CPH-26 Commandant introduces a different variant, offering resistance to gas damage besides blast damage, and also reducing recoil when using a secondary weapon. This hybrid passive skill combines advanced filtering, reinforcements, and sharpshooter characteristics, creating a versatile defensive option.

A/GM-17 Gas Mortar Sentry

Another new strategy is A/GM-17 Gas Mortar Sentry. While details are currently very limited, it appears to fire gas shells, creating a gas cloud above enemy groups.

In Helldivers 2, gas is primarily used for crowd control, confusing enemies and causing them to attack indiscriminately. If the gas's range and duration are strong enough, mortars become an effective tool for controlling large numbers of enemies.

However, based on previous updates, the gas mechanic has been somewhat unstable, making its effectiveness heavily dependent on its release method.

Historical Emote

Besides weapons and strategies, this war bond also includes a unique new addition: the brand-new Diplomatic Handshake Emote.

This emote pays homage to the famous Christmas Truce of 1914, when soldiers from both sides of World War I briefly ceased fighting, crossed trenches, exchanged gifts, and even played football together. Even today, people still yearn for world peace; after all, who wouldn't want to bask in the sun, rub the grass, and leisurely play some games?

CQC-73 Entrenchment Tool

Perhaps the most unexpected item is CQC-73 Entrenchment Tool. Unlike common digging tools on planetary surfaces, this shovel occupies a secondary weapon slot. This means you can equip this shovel while simultaneously carrying heavy support weapons such as LAS-99 Quasar Cannon.Buy Helldivers 2 Super Credits from EZG.com to Get Entrenched Division Premium Warbond Quickly

According to available information, this weapon possesses medium armor and traditional capabilities, with base damage of 110. While it looks intriguing, its practical value is questionable. Many players prefer mobile warfare to trench warfare, so its ultimate fate may be more of a novelty.

B/FLAM-80 Cremator

Finally, Entrenched Division Premium Warbond introduced B/FLAM-80 Cremator. Visually, it features dual fuel tanks and a large nozzle system, but in the trailer, its flame mechanics seem largely ineffective; enemies appear to walk through the flames without hindrance.

Some players have suggested improvements to the in-game flame mechanics, such as:

  • Slowing down the movement speed of enemies hit by flames
  • Adding knockback or stun effects
  • Increasing the effective range of flame weapons

Without timely adjustments, B/FLAM-80 Cremator may struggle to compete with other powerful strategic weapons.

Fortunately, the developers of Helldivers 2 have a precedent of adjusting Premium Warbond equipment before the game's official launch.

You won't have to wait long; when Entrenched Division Premium Warbond officially launches on March 17th, you can test these weapons on the battlefield and decide if the bond is worth it.

Either way, the fight for Super Earth continues, and the trenches are about to become much more dangerous.
