In any sports video game, you can play as an unknown junior player in the game, follow some specific storyline, and eventually become a current sports Superstar, and Madden 25 is no exception.
In Madden 25, there is a Superstar Mode that allows you to experience this highly immersive and storyline mode. So how to play this mode in its entirety? This guide will introduce you to it step by step from entering the mode.
1. Choose Your Preferred Position
Once you enter the game’s Superstar Mode, you can click on your avatar to choose the position you want to play. Besides the different roles each position plays in the field, unique positions will also determine original experiences and gameplay in Superstar Mode.
Here are some positions you can choose in Superstar Mode.
- Quarterback: Can throw, pass, or run directly with the ball in the running game.
- Halfback: Provide some additional blocking in the running game and cooperate with the team’s quarterback to score.
- Wide Receiver: This needs to be the fastest player on the field, who needs to catch the ball passed by the team’s quarterback and run.
- Linebacker: This is a more flexible position, a defensive role that needs to stop the opponent’s offensive players at any position on the field.
- Cornerback: This is also a more flexible position. In the passing game, prevent the opponent’s receiver from intercepting the team’s ball; in the running game, intercept the opponent’s ball carrier.
2. Change And Delete Characters
What is very user-friendly here is that after you select the role and position you want, you can also modify it. Just click swap avatars in Play tab. Don’t worry about your initial character, because no matter how you change, your initial character will always exist.
If you want to delete a character permanently, you can hover your cursor over the avatar you want to delete and click Delete button.
3. Set Archetypes And Skills
After you select the position, you can start choosing prototypes and skills. Each position will have a unique set of archetype and skills, and corresponds to the actual player’s game style. For example, if you choose to be a wide receiver, you can choose to be a tactician who makes the opposing players unpredictable, or you can be the fastest lightning speed in the entire field.
You have a total of 15 skill points to allocate to various key attributes, but if you want to upgrade this player significantly, you can use some MUT 25 Coins to do so.
4. Set Up Abilities
After completing the above steps, you can start to select your character’s skills and specialties. If you only have a few skills to choose from, don’t worry, as you can unlock more skills as your Superstar upgrades.
5. Show Off In Scouting Combine
After you have enough outstanding skills and abilities, you can start preparing to be selected for a club. But after being selected for a team, you need to show your own key attributes such as physical fitness, experience and awareness in Scouting Combine in order to attract the clubs that want to sign you.
6. Participate In Narrative Scenes
You will eventually indicate that you have joined a club in a very flashy cutscene. In this club, the player you control will continuously unlock quest lines and improve your skill level by practicing on the court, meeting with the coach, and participating in some team meetings.
7. Complete Archetype-Specific Questlines
As mentioned above, each position has a unique archetype, so you need to complete Archetype-Specific Questlines. It is worth noting that your tasks will change according to your answers. For example, if you choose to rest more in some options, your physical condition in Superstar Mode will get better and better.
8. Dominate League
With the help of a series of tasks and storylines, this player will definitely become the best player in the entire league. At this point, Superstar Mode journey of this character is complete. If you want to experience the career of the same character again, just create a new character and choose different options at some key nodes.
