How Does Shutdown Work?

When you trigger Monopoly Go Shutdown, you will be teleported to a landmark built by a player you specify. From here, you can complete the destruction task by clicking on any landmark he or she owns.

If this player has some shields that can prevent you from demolishing it, you will get the result of Shutdown Blocked, which only gives you 2 tournament points and a small cash reward.

But if the landmark you destroy is not protected by a specific shield, you will get 4 points and a large cash reward. And if the landmark has been destroyed and has not been repaired in time, you will earn more cash!

Note that the final points reward offered to you here is affected by the dice multiplier you choose when moving the board token; and the cash reward will change based on your current net worth.
