As similar situations become more frequent, the debate has shifted from the difficulty of these events to another question: why do some people find the same events increasingly Dice-intensive, while others find them easier to complete?

More Dice, Less Value

Monopoly Go events have been putting noticeably more pressure on players' Dice reserves since The Simpsons Album.

Dig Events or Partner Events now often require a greater investment of Dice to progress to the later stages, but the rewards themselves haven't increased proportionally.

For many players, the issue is no longer simply how many Dice an event consumes, but whether that investment will pay off at all.

Especially when Side Tournaments, Dig Events, and Partner Events come one after another, participating in them all might mean that the returned resources won't cover the costs. If you get stuck before a few key reward points, it's easy to see your inventory dwindling as you play.

In this situation, continuing to participate in everything is no longer the safest option. Quick Wins, and a few events with clear rewards and easier-to-judge returns, are becoming more worthwhile.

However, this feeling of increasing difficulty isn't shared by everyone.

A Split Player Experience

On the other hand, Monopoly Go Happy Harvest with Looney Tunes Album was actually easier for some players than previous albums.

Some players are already down to only a few high-star Gold Stickers while still having Purple Sticker Packs, Dice, and Crates left to claim from later rewards. Compared with previous albums, their overall progress has been noticeably faster.

A similar contrast has emerged in event completion. Dig Events, which were difficult to complete in previous rounds, are now nearing completion for some players with little effort; some players have also completed more events during this album than they did during the previous two or three albums.

The difference in sticker collections is equally pronounced. On one hand, duplicate stickers are piling up, making it difficult to acquire new cards even with continuous pack openings; on the other hand, players already have only a few 5-Star and Gold Stickers left even though there hasn't been a single Wild Sticker yet.

The same album round didn't present the same level of difficulty for everyone. Some players are struggling to keep their Dice reserves from running low, while others are progressing much faster in both events and Sticker collection.

What really separates one player's experience from another is their current Dice reserve, Sticker progress, and whether they can reach the next few key reward milestones before running out.

Different Results

Dice reserves and how close a player is to key reward milestones can lead to drastically different outcomes in the same event.

In a recent Dig Event, one player's Monopoly Go Dice dropped to zero, but they were only three items away from completing the event.

After refraining from pushing further, their Dice first recovered to approximately 400. They then picked up another 2,000 Dice, followed by 500 more after trading for Ingredients, around 1,200 from Bank of Monopoly, and another 750 for completing a Sticker Set.

That took their Dice total from nearly nothing to more than 5,000.

This example clearly illustrates the problem: the key lies in whether the final reward milestones can be reached. If they can reach those last few milestones, they have a chance to rebuild their Dice reserve after the high-consumption events end; however, if they run out of Dice just before reaching them, Dice they already spent may not pay off.

Searching for a Pattern

With those differences in Dice reserves becoming more noticeable, some Monopoly Go players have started changing how they approach events.

A common practice is to keep their Side Tournament score low for several rounds, then raise their Roll Multiplier to climb the rankings and get higher-level Sticker Packs when Partner Event or Dig Event they really want to play appears.

The idea is that keeping scores low for a while may place them in less competitive Tournament groups later. How consistently effective this is hard to say, but at least it avoids throwing in many Dice every round.

A more controversial claim is that playing less actually makes it easier to get new Stickers and better rewards.

Around this point, Monopoly Go community has even speculated about a so-called Rolling Average, suggesting that the game might dynamically adjust later difficulty or rewards based on recent Roll Multipliers, play frequency, and time spent in the game.

However, there is currently insufficient evidence to prove that this mechanism actually exists. The randomness of Sticker Packs, Tournament groupings, Dice reserves, and whether a player happens to complete a Sticker Set at the right time can all make "better luck after playing less" look like a real pattern.

These speculations persist because many players find it difficult to predict how much progress they'll actually gain from continuing to invest Dice.

Some players nearly deplete their Dice in a single Monopoly Go event, while others rebuild their reserves by several thousand through later rewards. Some remain stuck with duplicate Stickers for weeks, while others move through the album much more smoothly.

This is why the event experience is becoming increasingly polarized. For players, the smarter approach may be to stop trying to keep up with every event, control Dice spending, and save resources for Dig Events, Partner Events, and key Sticker rewards with clearer returns.
