Monopoly Go players are about to experience a brand new limited-time challenge - Villainous Partners event. This event, running from 13:00 on May 2nd, 2026 to 15:59 on May 7th, 2026 (Eastern Time), requires partners to work together to build a themed attraction.
In the world of Monopoly Go, Villainous Partners event emphasizes collaboration rather than solo play. Each participant needs to collect exclusive event tokens through daily gameplay, and then use these tokens to spin a special cooperation wheel.
This design greatly increases the fun and excitement of the event, providing partners with an excellent opportunity for a quick sprint.
Core Mechanics
Before officially entering Villainous Partners event, players need to understand its basic rules and operation process. This event is open to all Monopoly Go users who have reached Board 5 or higher; new players must complete the initial Board construction before joining.
This event encourages player cooperation. To secure Grand Prize Rewards, each participant is advised to actively seek or accept a partner to jointly manage the construction progress of an attraction.
Preparation Phase
The minimum requirement for entering the event is a Board level of 5. Players who haven't yet reached this level are advised to prioritize completing daily tasks to qualify before the event begins.
Once the event officially begins, each player will automatically receive 100 initial event tokens as starting capital.
Cooperative Gameplay
The core consumable for this event is exclusive event tokens, similar to macarons in previous Baking Events. Players can randomly obtain these tokens by completing regular actions in Monopoly Go.
To use tokens, players need to enter the event-specific interface and click the roulette wheel to spin it once or in batches.
Each spin consumes a fixed number of tokens and immediately displays the score earned. The scores contributed by both players will be combined and displayed on the same progress bar, jointly propelling their attraction to higher levels.
Special Roulette
The roulette wheel in Villainous Partners event is not your average roulette wheel. It contains various slices with different point values, the most attractive of which is Mega Slice.
Once the pointer lands on a Mega Slice, the regular roulette wheel is immediately replaced by a brand new Jackpot roulette wheel. In this Jackpot roulette wheel, each slice contains significantly more points than the regular roulette wheel, giving both partners the chance to score many points at once.
Event Rewards
The rewards for Villainous Partners event are divided into two major categories: milestone rewards within each attraction, and Grand Prize Rewards unlocked upon completing all attractions.
Since each player needs to work with their partner to build multiple attractions, the final Grand Prize Rewards can only be claimed by pushing all attractions to the highest level.
Milestone Rewards
Each level has 5 progress levels, and each level grants a corresponding fixed reward. The cumulative points required for each level increase progressively, as follows:
- Level 1 (2500 points): Reward: 200 Rolls This is the initial stage, requiring only minimal cooperation, suitable for both parties to test their teamwork.
- Level 2 (6000 points cumulative): Rewards in-game Cash. The amount of Cash is usually linked to the player's current Board level; the higher the level, the more Cash is earned.
- Level 3 (13000 points cumulative): Rewards 200-300 Rolls, one Cash, and a 10-minute Cash Boost. During this boost, all earnings from passing through Cash tiles or triggering Cash events are doubled.
- Level 4 (26500 points cumulative): Rewards 300-500 Rolls, a 2 Star 3 Stickers Pack, and a 20-minute Mega Heist. Mega Heist significantly increases the multiplier cap and single-hit earnings in bank robbery events.
- Level 5 (32000 points cumulative): Rewards 400-600 Rolls, one Cash, a 30-minute Builders Bash, and a 4 Star 4 Stickers Pack. Builders Bash can shorten landmark construction time or reduce upgrade costs, making it a powerful tool for late-game sprints.
Grand Prize Rewards
Once players and their partners complete all buildable attractions, both can receive three extremely rare grand prizes in Monopoly Go:
- 5000 Rolls: A massive amount of dice, enough to support multiple marathon rounds of the event.
- Swap Pack: A special sticker pack containing 4 stickers, allowing players to exchange or redraw up to 3 unwanted stickers.
- Big Bad Wolf: A limited-edition board token used to replace player tokens.
Strategy Tips
To maximize gains within a limited time, players need to incorporate strategy into their daily gameplay. The following are proven and effective methods.
The core of Villainous Partners event is the word "partner." Players are advised to stay in touch with their partners through the in-game chat or external communication software. Both players can agree on a fixed daily game time to take turns transferring token progress.
The preparation phase before the event begins is crucial. Experienced Monopoly Go players typically stop unnecessary large-scale dice spending immediately after the event announcement, instead of accumulating dice through daily rewards, tournament rankings, and sticker collection.
The event lasts 5 days, 2 hours, and 59 minutes, seemingly ample time, but each attraction requires at least 32,000 points. Don't wait until the last half-day to start sprinting. Mega Roulette's appearance is random, and last-minute cramming can easily lead to bad luck and failure.
In the early stages of the event, quickly completing the first few milestones using free tokens can secure around 200 basic dice rewards, replenishing your dice reserves for later events and giving you more flexibility.
Monopoly Go's Villainous Partners event is a high-intensity multiplayer collaborative challenge. The key to successfully obtaining Grand Prize Rewards lies in accumulating resources in advance, communicating closely with your partner, and allocating daily game time wisely to avoid procrastination until the last minute.
