However, when the casual mode began to exert pressure similar to hidden ranked matches, players' mindsets changed. They no longer thought about playing a few games to relax, but about facing a certain number of high-intensity matches.

High-Level Player Complaints

In NBA 2K27 SBMM discussions, the voices of high-level players cannot be ignored. Some players prefer random matchmaking because it allows them to encounter weaker opponents and gain a significant advantage. However, attributing all dissent to skilled players trying to dominate weaker opponents is unfair.

Many high-level players are genuinely dissatisfied because the high-level environment easily devolves into pure meta-competition.

NBA 2K27 Needs Stratification

The biggest problem with SBMM is that it shouldn't be present in all modes.
