Since Fracturing Orb locks modifiers randomly, there is a three-quarter chance that Fracturing Orb will lock on a modifier you don’t want. As long as you try more, you will eventually succeed in locking on a good modifier.

Next, Chaos Orbs will come in handy. You can use POE 2 Chaos Orbs on the item repeatedly until a good affix is randomly generated, and then use Exalted Orb to add two additional affixes to it. If you still have extra Divine Orbs, then as long as you can randomly assign these affixes to a value that satisfies you, you will have crafted a top-level item.

Advanced Usage: Omen

Omen can assist many currencies, and when combined with Fracturing Orb, it will be even more effective.

Omen is very valuable in the game and is very rare. It is almost impossible to get a lot of Omen as a single player, so it is based on trading with other players.

Omen can affect the production results of currencies. For example, if you have an item with a bad prefix but a good suffix, you can use Omen to help you remove the unwanted prefix while keeping the suffix you want.

Omen of Dextral Annulment can interfere with POE 2 Orb of Annulment to only remove the suffix. If you have locked one suffix with Fracturing Orb in advance, Orb of Annulment has a greater chance of removing the suffix you don’t want.

Similarly, Omen of Sinistral Annulment can cause Orb of Annulment to only remove the prefix. As long as you restrict other currencies with Omen and Fracturing Orb, item modifications will be less random.

In Patch 0.2.0, the drop rate of Omen has doubled. The value of Omen will not change, however, and you will still only find it as a drop from level 80+ monsters.

Fracturing Orb will undoubtedly become an important part of high-level item crafting, but it will also be very valuable. Players who first master its use will benefit from it.
