If you’ve been interested in World of WarCraft series before, then you should have at least played the original WoW Classic game or any of the servers such as SOD and Era. But even if you haven’t, it doesn’t matter, because the latest WoW 20th Anniversary is also in full swing!
WoW Classic 20th Anniversary launched in 2024 is obviously born to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original game, so it continues to provide you with new content every 2-3 months based on the playable content of WoW Classic. Not long ago, the game officially entered Phase 3 on March 20, and more Phase 3 content will be available on April 3. Let us introduce them to you one by one.
Phase 3 Part 1 On March 20
In order to ensure that it can attract the attention of new and old players at the first time, the content of the first part of Phase 3 must be substantial enough, and in fact it is. In addition to the new reputation rewards and level 50 class quests, the core content of Phase 3 of WoW 20th Anniversary released on March 20 are Blackwing Lair raid and Darkmoon Faire.
Blackwing Lair Raid
Blackwing Lair is now controlled by Nefarian. Originally, it belonged to Dark Iron Dwarves, but later Nefarian occupied this place and planned to take this opportunity to spread its dark power throughout Azeroth. What you have to do is to work with your teammates in Blackwing Lair raid to stop Nefarian’s conspiracy by fighting against the 8 bosses in the raid, and at the same time earn WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Gold to upgrade gear or weapons to cope with more subsequent game content. These 8 bosses are:
- Razorgore the Untamed: Although his main task is to protect and cultivate various black dragon eggs hidden in Blackwing Lair, it will be troublesome to anger him.
- Vaelastrasz the Corrupt: He was not originally a villain, but was unfortunately corrupted after being defeated by Nefarian and had to work for Nefarian.
- Broodlord Lashlayer: A frontline soldier belonging to the black dragon legion, but not a real dragon.
- Firemaw, Ebonroc, and Flamegore: As members of the black dragon legion, these three dragons often act at the same time. On the surface, they obey Nefarian, but their true loyalty is to Deathwing.
- Chromaggus: A dragon-like creature created by Nefarian himself, with a colorful and strange appearance and many dragon abilities.
- Nefarian: The most dangerous final boss.

When you and your teammates defeat these bosses and complete the entire Blackwing Lair raid, in addition to the regular WoW 20th Gold, you will also receive a level 2 set and related rewards, and the specific rewards will vary depending on your character’s class:
- Druid: Stormrage Raiment
- Hunter: Dragonstalker Armor
- Mage: Netherwind Regalia
- Paladin: Judgement Armor
- Priest: Vestments of Transcendence
- Rogue: Bloodfang Armor
- Shaman: The Ten Storms
- Warlock: Nemesis Raiment
- Warrior: Battlegear of Wrath
Darkmoon Faire
This is an event that only takes place in a fixed location and a fixed time period, so if you want to experience it, be sure to keep in mind: Darkmoon Faire usually arrives at the corresponding location on Friday, starts setting up the venue over the weekend, opens on the following Monday, and lasts for a week until the following Sunday. The venue rotates between Elwynn Forest and Mulgore.
But rather than a circus, Darkmoon Faire is more like a small mobile market. Many foreign merchants will come to Azeroth with the owner of Darkmoon Faire to bring you good things that you rarely see, and you can exchange these goods with gold coins or Darkmoon Faire tickets.
New Level 50 Class Quests
If your character level reaches 50 or above when entering the third stage, you can go to any main city to find the corresponding class trainer to start your new round of adventure. However, the quests for different classes are available in different locations, as follows:
- Druid: Un’Goro Crater
- Hunter: Azshara along the cliffs near the eastern shore
- Mage: Azshara
- Paladin: Western Plaguelands
- Priest: Azshara along the cliffs near the eastern shore
- Rogue: Alterac Valley
- Shaman: Bath’rah the Windwatcher in Chillwind Point
- Warlock: Felwood
- Warrior: Swamp of Sorrows
It is worth noting that although Phase 3 will also bring some new reputation rewards, the rewards will vary depending on whether you are an Alliance or Horde player. You need to distinguish and claim them according to your faction.
Phase 3 Part 2 On April 3
Compared to the first part, Phase 3 part 2 has less new content, mainly including the cancellation of PVP honor rank 11 cap and the resource battle that can be carried out in Arathi Basin.
Arathi Basin
To participate in the battle, you need to travel to Arathi Basin in Arathi Highlands. The specific entrance coordinates will be different depending on your faction - Alliance players will start near stables at Trollbane Hall, while Horde players will start near Defiler’s Den farm.
Once you arrive at Arathi Basin, you need to join a team of 15 people, and then start from the different starting point as the enemy team, try to occupy 5 resource nodes within the total. The first team to accumulate 2000 resources through these nodes will win. The 5 nodes are located at:
- Stables: Nearest Trollbane Hall
- Gold Mine: Northeast corner of the map
- Blacksmith: Center of the map
- Lumber Mill: Southeast of the map
- Farm: Closest to Defiler’s Den
Since the second part is not yet online, it is recommended that you hurry up to complete the events and tasks in the first part to obtain enough resources for the battle for Arathi Basin, which will be online on April 3. Good luck!
