World of Warcraft Forever will launch on November 4, 2026, and Legacy system is one of the most exciting new additions. While essentially an achievements system, its significance goes far beyond that. It introduces a complete skill tree to help you level up, along with a wealth of new rewards and new game mechanics to enhance your main character and future alts.
This article will analyze WoW Forever Legacy system to help you have a better gaming experience.

About Legacy System
Legacy system is actually the achievements system in WoW Forever. It's a clever design that adds to the fun of the game while helping you level up your alts and enhance your main character.
It's worth noting that achievements have never truly existed in Classic or vanilla World of Warcraft, making its inclusion both refreshing and perfectly timed.
Completing achievements in the game will earn your points, which can be used in the new Legacy skill tree. These achievements and points are shared across the entire account, and each character can use them independently to refine their own skill tree to meet their individual needs. This also means your game progress will benefit every character you've played, greatly enhancing the gaming experience.
Legacy Points
In WoW Classic+, you can earn a total of 65 Legacy Points. However, you need to complete some trials, which are divided into several categories:
The first category is class-related, earning a total of 27 Legacy Points. Each class has a separate section, awarding 1 Legacy Point upon reaching levels 25, 45, and 60.
Reaching crafting skill levels 150, 225, and 300 earns 18 points, covering major classes except gathering. Since these points apply across the entire account, having several characters of different classes can yield more points.
PvP mode provides 12 points, including achievements reaching levels 3, 7, 10, 13, and 14. In addition, reaching Respected rank for all battleground factions (including the new ones) also earns an achievement, totaling 4 points. Completing week 4, 7, and 10 quests in PvP Season Journeys also earns points, totaling 3 points.
Dungeons offer three points: defeating all final bosses in level 15-25, 26-45, and 46-60 dungeons respectively, meaning you essentially need to clear all dungeons. Finally, raids offer three points: defeating Onyxia's Lair, defeating all 13 bosses in Peak of Mount Hyjal raid, and defeating all 8 bosses in the new Blackrock Depths raid.

Legacy Tree
So how do you use these points? Legacy Tree is divided into three branches: Professions, Adventures, and Ingenuity. You are free to allocate your points and are not limited to one branch. However, regardless of how many points you earn later, you can only use a maximum of 16 points.
The rationale behind this is fairness - it's easy to gain 16 skill points if you only play one character, but you can gain more if you play multiple characters. Blizzard wants to maintain game balance, which is certainly a good thing, although they may adjust this in the future.
It's worth noting that you can also spend 10 WoW Forever gold to reset these skill trees from a profession trainer, but the cost increases with each reset. Next, let's take a closer look at the three branches of the heritage tree:
Profession Tree
First, let's look at profession skills. The bonuses at max level are quite substantial. Excessive Work skill increases your chance to gain skill upgrades when using any basic or profession skill by 20%. Rich Harvest skill increases your chance to obtain rare materials when mining, gathering herbs, and skinning by 100% - meaning a large number of new rare items are waiting for you in WoW Classic+.
Performance Bonus gives you a 15% chance to gain an additional 100% reputation with the merchant when turning in goods to Azshara Trade Office or Durotar Supply and Logistics.
Master of Knowledge grants a 50% chance to catch an extra fish when using bait. Barter reduces the price of all goods by 10%.
Diligent Learning raises the lowest skill level in your major and minor professions by 1 level - if you have already raised both major and three minor professions to 300, you will gain 2 to 4 random elemental essences. This is an active skill with a 24-second cast time and a 23-hour cooldown.
Master Chef gives your cooking recipes a 50% chance to generate an extra serving. Additionally, there are question mark icons on the skill tree representing bonuses that will appear in future content updates.
Adventure Tree
In Adventure skill tree, Rest increases your Rest experience gain rate by 20% and increases your Rest experience cap by 20%. Thirst for Adventure restores 5% of your maximum health and mana over 10 seconds when you land a fatal blow on a non-vulnerable enemy - however, it doesn't apply to dungeons, raids, or battlegrounds, so it's only usable in the open world.
Vigilance enhances your ability to detect nearby targets in stealth mode, as if you've leveled up twice. While it doesn't apply to battlegrounds, it's extremely useful in open-world PvP.
The most important talent here is Talented, which grants your talent points every level starting at level 5, instead of 10. Your talent point cap remains 51, so you won't gain additional talent points at level 60, but it's incredibly useful during WoW Classic Plus leveling process.
Then, Field Guide reduces the cooldown of camp facilities by 25%, allowing you to unlock Frequent Traveler talent - reducing the cost of all flight routes by 50% and increasing the flight speed of flying vehicles by 20%.
The final adventure talent, Field Medicine, reduces the duration of Recently Bandaged effect by 10 seconds when using bandages; however, note that this talent is ineffective in dungeons, raids, or battlegrounds.
Ingenuity Tree
Finally, Ingenuity Tree offers some truly powerful options. Gourmand increases the duration of food-based buffs by 100%. The Quick and the Dead increases movement speed by 10% in undead form and prevents your utility spells and abilities from consuming resources for two minutes after resurrection or before entering combat - truly useful.
Enhanced reduces equipment durability loss upon death by 40%. For Great Honor, increases honor point gain by 10%. Persistence increases the duration of your class abilities (which provide long-term stat bonuses to all party or raid members) by 100% and also increases the duration of camp rest buffs by 100%.
Reagent Economy allows you to get rid of things like Holy Candles, Seeds, and Vanishing Powder. This means that your profession skills no longer require obtaining reagents from merchants - a significant benefit. Finally, Diplomat increases your reputation gain by 10%. Overall, these talents offer some very useful and beneficial effects.
Legacy Rewards
In WoW Classic Plus, players can unlock Legacy Rewards by accumulating Legacy Points, which are awarded at 15, 25, 40, and 55 points.
These rewards include Iron Anvil Air Rifle toy for player interaction, Spectral Bear Cub pet, Spectral Bear Crest cape, and Reins of Spectral Bear. All rewards are account-wide, but each character needs to spend 1,000 gold on riding training to obtain the mount.
That concludes this article about WoW Classic+ Legacy system, which I really love. It's incredibly fun - you can combine different items and get great bonuses as your character levels up. The system feels like a significant evolution of the achievement concept, respecting the spirit of Classic while adding depth to the game.
