Dunk City Dynasty Season 7 Tier List: Best Cards for Ranked Play

Dunk City Dynasty Season 7 Tier List: Best Cards for Ranked Play

Season 7 completely reshaped Dunk City Dynasty meta, and it's time to introduce a brand-new character tier list.

I will analyze the strongest and weakest cards from Season 7 and rank each character based on their strength and utility.

I've divided some characters suitable for ranked play into three tiers based on their strength. With various buffs, nerfs, and version updates, some characters have emerged as standouts.

Tier 1

  • Ben Wallace
  • Anthony Davis
  • Dirk Norz
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
  • Dwyane Wade
  • Karl Malone
  • Hakeem Olajuwon
  • LeBron James
  • Dennis Rodman
  • Paul Pierce

Tier 2

  • Alonzo Mourning
  • Jimmy Butler
  • Chris Paul
  • Stephen Curry
  • James Harden
  • Kevin Durant
  • Kawhi Leonard
  • Jaylen Brown
  • Nikola Jokić
  • Jrue Holiday
  • Jayson Tatum

Tier 3

  • Joel Embiid
  • Karl Anthony Towns
  • Paul George
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Russell Westbrook
  • Jordan Clarkson
  • LaMelo Ball
  • Tyler Herro
  • Dillon Brooks
  • Pascal Siakam
  • Zach Levine
  • Jaren Jackson
  • Luka doncic
  • Jamal Murray
  • Andrew Wiggins
  • Jason Kidd
  • Aaron Gordon

Tier 1

Let's look at the top tier. These are my most recommended roles, excelling in any situation and regardless of team composition. You'll appreciate their abilities.

Ben Wallace is the strongest defensive big man in Dunk City Dynasty. Amazing interior defense, contesting, and shot-blocking. Extremely resilient. He's very good at limiting opposing centers and protecting the rim. Anthony Davis is highly mobile, an excellent defender, has a diverse offensive arsenal, strong dunking ability, and a decent mid-range shot.

Dirk Norz is an excellent scorer who performs well in any lineup. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dwyane Wade are both among the league's best mid-range shooters. SGA has a higher three-point shooting percentage, while Wade has a stronger dunking ability and a better finishing touch.

Karl Malone is extremely consistent and well-rounded on both offense and defense, with virtually no weaknesses. Hakeem Olajuwon possesses a rich array of offensive abilities and skills, making his moves difficult to predict. LeBron James is a powerful playmaker, with quick passes that buff his teammates.

Dennis Rodman is the strongest rebounder in Dunk City Dynasty lineup. Paul Pierce seems easy to use, but his moves are numerous and very powerful, making him difficult to defend.

Tier 2

The second tier consists of some decent cards. With the right team composition and matchups, these characters are quite good and can be very useful in specific situations.

First is Alonzo Mourning. This card is strong; while not top-tier, his abilities are good, but Ben Wallace is his nemesis. Jimmy Butler is also a moral character; he's a powerful defender and can perform exceptionally well given enough space on the court.

Chris Paul, while not a primary scorer, is an excellent defender. Stephen Curry has excellent stats, but he needs teamwork. He can't carry the entire game; players like Ben Wallace, Anthony Davis, and Al Horford all make it difficult for Curry to perform.

James Harden needs to create space and has someone share the scoring burden. Kevin Durant is also a top-tier player, but I think he's not very good at being double-teamed; he needs better teamwork.

Kawhi Leonard, Jaylen Brown, and Nikola Jokić are all excellent in steals, defense, rebounding, scoring, and screens. Jrue Holiday is a perfect defender, but you need a very good scorer to keep up with his pace.

Jason Tatum is an all-around player; his defense is excellent, and he can contribute offensively. However, he struggles at higher scores, as his three-point shooting is inconsistent.

Tier 3

These are players I think are good, but not top-tier. These players can be used in ranked games; if you know how to use them, they can be effective, but they are not the best choices.

While Joel Embiid requires assists or points to trigger his passive, once triggered, he can consistently sink three-pointers. For solo queue scoring, Karl Anthony Towns is a good choice.

Paul George is a very interesting card, capable of both defense and offense. However, to maximize his potential, you can buy Dunk City Dynasty Tokens at EZG.com to upgrade his stats. Our discounted prices help you upgrade your team without overspending, maximizing your game progress.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's dunks are relatively predictable, but if he gets blocked, he can pass to escape. Furthermore, his pressure around the basket is very strong; defenders must be very well-positioned to effectively stop him. Russell Westbrook is easily countered by stronger characters; aside from shooting, there's not much you can do with him.

Jordan Clarkson's buffs are fantastic, but he needs sufficient space to execute his pump fakes, making him most effective in transition offense or on open courts. LaMelo Ball can complete passing moves with no need morale and is very fast, making him useful in specific situations. Tyler Herro is also a strong offensive player. These three characters belong to the same type.

Dillon Brooks is an excellent defensive option, significantly increasing his ability to disrupt the offensive team. However, he's not particularly fast and can't dribble. Pascal Siakam is very steady. Zach Levine's shot-blocking ability is easily countered by many players, but he remains a decent scoring option.

Jaren Jackson is still an excellent defender; his 360-degree blocks are powerful, but his rebounding ability isn't outstanding. Luka Doncic can be effective as long as he sets screens. Another noteworthy player is Jamal Murray, a team player who requires teammates to coordinate with him through pick-and-rolls and passes. His layups are almost guaranteed to be successful, and his ultimate ability is also good, but it takes some getting used to.

Andrew Wiggins is a 50/50 character. Jason Kidd is interesting and well-developed, but the only problem is that his ultimate ability consumes too much resources. Aaron Gordon's strength depends on the team composition and matchups.

The above is my ranking of players from Dunk City Dynasty suitable for ranked play in Season 7. Overall, the top-tier players are almost unaffected by team compositions; their individual strength and versatility are very high, making them the most worthwhile core choices to invest resources in.

The second tier requires more strategic team composition and in-game judgment; with the right team and playstyle, they can perform comparable to T1 players. The third tier isn't unusable, but you need a deep understanding of their characteristics to maximize their strengths and minimize their weaknesses in ranked play.
