ARC Raiders' Shared Watch has quickly become one of the most popular limited-time events in the community since its launch.
As a cooperative and PvE-focused event, Shared Watch encourages players to team up against ARC Enemies while earning exclusive cosmetic items, blueprints, and other rewards.
This event only lasts two weeks, officially ending on February 26th, meaning you only have a limited time to collect Merits and unlock all the rewards. Don't worry, this guide will provide a detailed introduction to the event and recommend the best maps and weapons.
How to Participate?
Once in-game, Shared Watch will be displayed on the main screen. You can click Shared Watch icon in the upper left corner of the screen to enter the event page. There, you'll find the event tracker to view your earned Merits, remaining event days, and current progress.
During the event, you can gain experience points in three ways, which can be converted into Merits:
- Damaging ARCs
- Destroying ARCs
- Assisting other players to destroy ARCs
You need 100 experience points from each of these methods to earn 1 Merit. The larger ARC Enemies you defeat, the more experience points you gain.
Alternatively, if you want to quickly gain a large number of Merits, killing Queen is definitely the best option, as its extremely high health means more opportunities to deal damage.
Some players have calculated that killing a single Queen deals approximately 13,000 damage, so you'll gain about 138 Merits. However, it's also very dangerous; you can weigh the pros and cons to choose the most suitable strategy for yourself.
Rewards
Shared Watch event has 3 pages of rewards, and you can earn 21 rewards. Every 50 Merits unlocks one page, and every 50 Merits unlocks one reward. You need to earn a total of 1200 merit points to unlock these rewards in ARC Raiders:

Tips
Best Maps
While theoretically any map can yield Merits, due to factors such as the respawn mechanism and the variety of ARC Enemies, certain maps are far more efficient than others.
Spaceport is the best map for this event. It not only has a large number of ARC Enemies, but also offers opportunities to encounter medium to large enemies such as Queens, Bastions, Bombarders, and Rocketeers. There's an excellent route for farming ARCs near Hidden Bunker; it has many Roberts and the strategic terrain is very favorable for enemy farming.
Alternatively, Buried City and Blue Gate also have a large number of ARC Enemies and are good choices.
Weapons
Osprey and Renegade are excellent for engaging aerial ARCs, especially effective against Wasps, Rocketeers, and Hornets. Aim at their propellers for a high hit rate.
Jupiter and Anvil are excellent against medium to large ARC Enemies. They can directly attack the cores of Bastions, Bombarders, and Rocketeers, making them effective weapons for quickly gaining a large amount of experience.
It's important to note that for ARC Enemies, the kill count isn't as important as the damage you inflict. For example, when shooting aerial ARCs, aim for their core rather than their wings to crash them; this will significantly increase your experience gain.
Player Feedback
Early on, some players complained that the game was moving towards PvE, with more and more casual players and PvP modes becoming almost unnecessary. Shared Watch is a purely PvE event, with PvP offering no benefit to rewards.
However, some have a broader perspective. They believe PvE players will continue playing PvE, and PvP players will continue playing PvP. PvP players simply don't care about PvE content.
When PvE players focus on hunting the more valuable large ARCs, the sheer noise they create is equivalent to announcing to the entire lobby: "I'm here, I'm shooting ARC Roberts." Kind players might help each other, while PvP players gain a huge opportunity to hunt down PvE players.
Furthermore, there are only so many ARC Enemies on the map. If most are killed, wouldn't the end result be that eliminating intruders would reduce competition and create more opportunities to kill ARC Enemies?
Therefore, unless damaging other human players incurs Merits or other costs, this event won't significantly impact PvP/PvE balance.
Regardless, the rewards are very generous and worth participating in. However, players focused on PvE should still be wary of PvP ambushes.
That concludes this episode on ARC Raiders Shared Watch. Choose the right map, target high-value ARC enemies, and you can obtain all the rewards faster than expected. Have fun playing!
