ARC Raiders Week 28 Trials are here, bringing a brand new challenge that combines treasure hunting, ARC container searching, aerial combat, and a Riven Tides beach objective. The key this week is choosing the right map for each objective and getting out before your points expire.
Unlike previous Trials, map conditions no longer provide a 2x points bonus, so you don't need to wait for a specific bonus window. However, you can still use certain conditions to increase enemy spawn rates or loot acquisition opportunities, but the score per action remains the same.
Let's take a look at how to complete ARC Raiders Week 28 Trials and achieve three stars.
About Week 28 Trials
ARC Raiders Trials is a weekly ranking system where you earn Trial Points by completing specific objectives. Each Trial requires 4,000 points to achieve three stars, unlocking the highest reward tier, including high-value items and blueprint drops.
Week 28 of Trials will be open from May 11th to May 17th. The following are the five trials you need to complete:
- Search Raider Caches
- Damage Fireflies
- Search ARC Probes, Couriers, or Assessors
- Damage Vaporizers
- Damage ARC enemies on Beach
Remember, progress is only recorded after a successful extraction for all five trials. Therefore, do not linger after reaching the three-star threshold.
Search Raider Caches
ARC Raiders Dam Battlegrounds is the preferred map for this trial. Raider Caches are partially buried tin boxes that emit a unique buzzing sound when you approach. Each chest rewards 500 trial points, so you need to search 8 chests to achieve three stars.
Here are some timesaving tips:
Searching a chest will still earn trial points even if other players have already opened it.
Pay attention to the sound effects of nearby chests opening to find chests that other players are currently looting.
If the rooms in Dam Battlegrounds are too crowded, you can also choose Buried City and Spaceport, both locations with a good chest density. Hurricane Map Condition will increase the loot in chests, but you will no longer get double points.
Damage Fireflies
Fireflies are flying ARC machines; they fall from the sky like Wasps, but with greater attack power and flamethrowers in their bellies. Each kill grants 800 Trial Points, so you need to kill 5 to get three stars.
The recommended map is Blue Gate map, as its flat terrain allows you to spot ARCs from a distance before they get close. First, go to Overlook Airshaft east of Checkpoint, then sweep northeast to Pilgrim's Peak.
As for which ARC Raiders Items are most efficient, we recommend Jupiter or Hullcracker. These weapons can shoot down airborne Fireflies in one shot. This is important because if Fireflies fall due to thruster damage instead of being killed instantly, you will not receive points for fall damage. In addition, you should carry at least 4 stacks of ammo and one Photoelectric Cloak to disengage from combat when Fireflies approach.
Search ARC Probes, Couriers, or Assessors
Probes and Couriers will appear on most maps, while Assessors will only appear under Close Scrutiny map conditions. Smoke and beeping sounds indicate the presence of Probes and Couriers nearby. You will still earn Trial Points if you find one even if other players have already found it.
Here are two recommended strategies for you to choose from:
- The first is low-risk: Enter Spaceport during an Electromagnetic Storm. This will spawn more probes, make combat easier to control, and allow you to quickly accumulate points.
- The second option is high-risk, high-reward: Under Close Scrutiny map condition, you can find them on any map that meets the conditions, but be sure to bring Smoke Grenades and a Photoelectric Cloak.
Damage Vaporizers
Damage Vaporizers are the most dangerous trial this week. Each kill can earn up to 3600 trial points, and you only need two kills to get a three-star rating.
Vaporizers will spawn on all maps except Stella Montis, and their spawn rate will be higher during Major Map Conditions.
How to efficiently defeat Vaporizers in ARC Raiders? First, attack their abdomen to expose their core weakness, then fire at the core to deal massive damage. Similar to Fireflies, avoid destroying thrusters or stunning them with grenades before killing them, as fall damage does not count towards trial points.
Finally, throwing cheap throwables will force Vaporizers to deploy their shields. Use Photoelectric Cloak to wait for the shield phase to end and dodge the laser barrage. You only need to kill two Vaporizers. If the first encounter doesn't go well, retreat and reset instead of wasting resources on a third engagement.
Damage ARC enemies on Beach
This trial is limited to Riven Tides map, and the target area is Azzurro Beach, located north of Hotel Panorama Azzurro. You'll get a three-star rating by dealing enough damage to ARC enemies on the beach; precise kill counts are not required.
Here are a few tips:
Bring high-damage weapons like Hullcracker, Anvil, or Bettina to quickly reduce enemy health.
ARC enemies in and around Port Authority Building can be lured onto the beach; any damage they deal there will count towards your trial progress.
Night Raid map condition will spawn more ARCs in the area, giving you more targets.
That concludes this article on how to get three stars in the latest ARC Raiders trial. Achieving three stars in all five trials within a week will grant you the highest rewards, including Blueprint drops. Go and complete your trial; we look forward to hearing good news from you.
