BitCraft Online New World Beginner Guide: Compendium, Skills & Settlement System Explained
BitCraft Online Early Access 2 launches February 26 with a full wipe. Learn how to start strong with the best professions, Compendium tips, Traveler Tasks, settlement upgrades, and early progression strategies.
As the sandbox MMORPG genre continues to evolve, BitCraft Online has begun its most transformative new chapter on February 26, 2026. All game data will be wiped clean, and a completely new world will begin, where everything is unknown and you can start from scratch.
This is undoubtedly the best time for new players to jump into the game. However, its complex game systems and lengthy intro may deter many. Don't worry! This guide will provide a detailed overview of the latest developments in BitCraft Online, along with a comprehensive beginner's guide to ensure you get started quickly.
Overview
BitCraft Online is a combat-centric MMORPG where you'll cooperate to build a new civilization in an editable wilderness with an ancient history. Thousands of players can cooperate or compete here, building settlements, establishing trade routes, developing infrastructure, and shaping an ever-evolving civilization.
In Early Access 2, the game will undergo a final data wipe. All players will start afresh in a completely new world. For those who have been eager to experience the social and cooperative world of BitCraft Online, now is undoubtedly the ideal time to jump in.
Update Highlights
Early Access 2 also brings a series of significant changes aimed at optimizing gameplay, deepening the social system, and significantly improving the gaming experience for new players.
Improved Onboarding
The previously criticized tutorial has finally been revamped. A new quest framework introduces a comprehensive system designed to guide new players through the game's intricate Professions, Skills, and crafting mechanics.
Nearly 100 quests will:
- Introduce core professions and gathering loops
- Unlock skill rewards
- Provide meaningful early game progress
- Provide exclusive cosmetics
- Teach settlement systems and logistics
Previously, new players often relied on external guides or community help to understand the game's complex crafting system. New World will integrate this guidance into the player's understanding through in-game systems.
Settlement Improvements
Settlement system has also undergone a major upgrade. Storage capacity has been significantly increased, logistics systems have been improved, and newly added accessible warehouses and barter counters allow territory members to open their own shops.
The improved passive production stations increase production slots based on the number of players, significantly boosting production efficiency.
Importantly, players can use advanced workstations without joining a Settlement. As before, public workstations in towns remain free to use. However, more advanced crafting requires more advanced infrastructure, encouraging player cooperation.
Empire System has also been updated and is now completely free, allowing players to experience gameplay centered on logistics, governance, and economic control more deeply.
Account Progression
The early EXP curve is faster, allowing players to reach meaningful milestones sooner. Tool power scaling has also been refined, making mid-to-late-game progression feel smoother and more rewarding.
In addition, BitCraft Online Early Access 2 introduces experimental localizations in French, German, Spanish, and Japanese, along with numerous improvements to enhance the user experience.
Beginner's Guide
With the new world, understanding the core progression system is crucial. BitCraft's system is complex, but once you grasp its mechanics, you'll find it incredibly intuitive and easy to use.
Compendium
The most important tool in BitCraft is Compendium, which serves as both a crafting encyclopedia and a goal management system. You can use it to look up recipes to turn materials into more useful items. Here's how to use it:
- Press C to open Compendium
- Hold down Alt key and click on an item, monster, or resource to view its crafting trees
- Track resources directly through resource entries and find their locations on the map.
However, it has a crucial limitation: items only appear after you discover them or unlock the required crafting recipe. If you can't find a recipe, it's likely because you haven't yet encountered the necessary materials.
To unlock new discoveries faster:
- Attack new resource nodes at least once
- Interact with Settlement storage and pick up unfamiliar items
Professions vs Skills
In BitCraft Online, Professions are the cornerstone of the game's progression, driving economic and settlement development, while Skills drive your personal character's growth.
Professions are typically paired:
- Mining and Smithing
- Forestry and Carpentry
- Hunting and Leatherworking
- Farming and Tailoring
- Fishing and Cooking
Each profession is interconnected. Even Fishing can contribute to Leatherworking, Farming, and more. Early on, you can explore multiple professions. However, as you level up, specializations make the game more efficient.
Skills are more practical for individuals; they provide larger wagons and carts, allow you to tame mounts, and in short, greatly improve your overall efficiency. Traveler Tasks, found in the starting town, are the most effective way to gain Skill experience and BitCraft Online Hex coins early on. These mini-quests refresh every four hours, keeping you busy all day.
That concludes this episode of BitCraft Online. Here, you can be a global trading master, a settlement architect, an explorer exploring the world, or an industrial producer specializing in a specific industry. There is no single development path; you can freely explore the boundaries of the game. Have fun!

ARC Raiders Players Want PvE, Better Anti-Cheat, and More Content: Is Embark Listening?
ARC Raiders is currently facing a surge of community discussion, with players hoping for improvements in several areas, including expedition issues, anti-cheat measures, and the possibility of a future PvE mode.
While the development team is working hard to fix bugs, players are also questioning whether the current content will provide enough momentum before Frozen Trail. Meanwhile, the recent release of a PvE mode in Embark's other game, The Finals, has also sparked new discussions among players.
Most players believe ARC Raiders has great potential, but future updates need to deliver a more meaningful experience. EZG will now introduce the latest hot topics among players.
Expedition Issues
ARC Raiders development team has released a new response regarding an Expedition system issue. Previously, some players encountered an anomaly: after completing a Damage Challenge, the system would automatically register them for Departures, even if they did not actively choose to join.
According to ARC Raiders development team, they have begun addressing the issue and will roll back affected players. The official statement indicates they wish to take a more cautious approach to restore the status of players whose registration behavior was abnormal to normal.
This fix will be implemented in multiple phases to ensure more players can successfully check their expedition status. For players who have already been automatically registered, ARC Raiders recommends promptly checking the in-game Expedition page to verify the accuracy of the displayed information.
If your issue persists, you should contact Support Team as soon as possible for further assistance from ARC Raiders development team.
While the fix was timely, the community considers the timing of the problem somewhat awkward, as there are only a few days left before the official Expedition registration deadline. Some players are concerned that if their account status is not restored in time, it may affect their subsequent choices.
Besides the technical issues, the current Expedition content in ARC Raiders has also become a focus of community discussion. Some players believe that the current Expedition lacks sufficient novelty for long-term active players.
While players who consistently play ARC Raiders daily might be willing to complete related objectives, the motivation for participation isn't as high as one might expect for casual players who simultaneously enjoy multiple games. Currently, players are hoping the development team will dedicate more time to optimizing the game experience and announce more comprehensive event plans in advance.
The Finals Adds PvE Mode
Embark's other game, The Finals, recently added AI-driven PvE gameplay, sparking considerable discussion among ARC Raiders players. Many hope a similar mode will appear in ARC Raiders.
In The Finals, players can fight against AI-controlled bots. The new Cash Grab mode offers a different experience from traditional PvP. Some players believe that adding this AI gameplay to ARC Raiders could be a significant addition to the game.
However, the two games have distinct focuses. The Finals is a more competitive FPS, while ARC Raiders emphasizes PvPvE, survival exploration, and player interaction. Therefore, whether to add a PvE mode still needs to be considered based on the overall direction of the game.
Currently, Embark has not confirmed that ARC Raiders will launch a standalone PvE mode, but The Finals' attempt undoubtedly showed players more possibilities.
Anti-Cheat System
Faced with persistent cheating in ARC Raiders, Embark recently launched the new BattlEye anti-cheat and stated that it is continuously improving the game's cheat detection mechanism. However, players still feel that the official changes are insufficient.
You may still encounter obvious anomalies in ARC Raiders, such as opponents knowing your location, equipment information, or even accurately predicting the location of nearby Raiders. The current anti-cheat measures for ARC Raiders seem ineffective.
Previously, Embark announced a ban wave targeting ARC Raiders Items duplication exploits. However, the specific number of bans and the conditions for banning are unclear, and no compensation has been received, leading many players to question the efficiency and transparency of the official anti-cheat system.
Player Feedback
In addition, the community continues to report various issues with ARC Raiders. Some players believe Seek Grenades currently suffer from tracking anomalies, sometimes failing to lock onto the true target and instead being attracted by other objects within buildings.
Players also hope that ARC Raiders will further adjust various weapon mechanics, optimize bugs, and provide more stable equipment performance.
Many players also point out that ARC Raiders' greatest appeal still lies in player interaction. Many enjoy encountering unfamiliar Raiders in the game, exploring the map together, collecting resources, and facing ARC enemy's side-by-side. This relaxed, cooperative atmosphere is an experience difficult to find in other games.
The community believes ARC Raiders currently has a solid foundation, but a single misstep could have serious consequences. Therefore, how the development team handles subsequent updates will determine the game's long-term popularity.
If you want to learn more about the latest ARC Raiders news, follow EZG Facebook. We also have limited-time giveaways where lucky players can receive free ARC Raiders items.
ARC Raiders is still in a phase of continuous adjustments, and players hope to see a more stable update schedule, richer game content, and a clearer development direction in the future. With Frozen Trail coming in October, players are hoping that ARC Raiders will continue to optimize matchmaking, gameplay mechanics, and event design to allow Extraction Shooter to truly realize its potential.
NBA 2K27 Badge System Could Stay the Same, But Badge Value Needs
Before each new NBA 2K game is announced, Badge system becomes one of the most discussed topics among players. After all, for today's 2K players, creating a player template is no longer just about ratings; Badges, animations, and attribute thresholds all influence the last choice.
It's highly unlikely that Badge system in NBA 2K27 will undergo a major overhaul. 2K has already completed a significant reduction in Badges over the past few years, moving from stacking dozens of Badges in the early days to retaining only the core Badges that truly affect the game. This direction is very clear.
However, there is currently no official information regarding Badge system in NBA 2K27. The following analysis is based on my experience playing NBA 2K26 and my understanding of the changes in 2K Build system, and does not represent any inside information.
Number of Badges Will Not Increase
In the past few entries, 2K series has been adjusting the number of Badges. The reason is simple: with more and more Badges, it becomes difficult for players to judge which ones are truly important.
Some badges look powerful, but the difference is barely noticeable in actual gameplay. Other badges have impressive names, but their stats completely overshadowed their effectiveness. For the development team, these badges have limited value.
I think 2K has realized this problem. Rather than adding a dozen new badges and subjecting players to more complex choices, they prefer to retain a few core badges. This facilitates balance and makes it easier for players to understand their build direction.
Therefore, I expect the number of badges in NBA 2K27 to remain largely unchanged, likely using the framework of NBA 2K26 with minor adjustments to some badge effects.
The real problem is quite obvious: the presence of badges in the game environment.
Value of Shooting Badges Has Been Weakened
Speaking of badges, we must discuss shooting.
One of the biggest features of NBA 2K26 was its relatively relaxed shooting environment. Many players could score consistently even without particularly powerful shooting badges. This has directly led to a decline in the perceived value of many shooting badges.
Badges like Deadeye, Set Shot Specialist, Shifty Shooter, and Mini Marksman, which should theoretically improve shooting consistency, often feel completely insignificant to players in practice.
I believe this is one of the biggest problems with 2K26 Badge system. When a player with a shooting stat of around 85 can easily make numerous open shots and even difficult shots without top-tier badges, then the badges naturally lose their appeal.
Currently, I think the only truly valuable shooting badge is Limitless Range. The reason is simple: it changes the shooting range, and this improvement is immediately noticeable to players.
If NBA 2K27 increases the difficulty of shooting, making release timing and attribute differences important again, then the value of shooting badges might return. However, if the game continues in its current state, most shooting badges will remain somewhat underwhelming.
Posterizer May Continue to Be a Controversial Badge
One of the most regrettable badges in NBA 2K26 for me is Posterizer.
Players who enjoy driving to the basket know that finishing is a skill. Knowing when to use a Euro step, when to do a reverse layup, when to force a takeoff, and when to choose between left and right hands for a dunk - all of these require experience. And what driving players truly enjoy is this process of judgment.
However, NBA 2K26's dynamic dunk bar affects this. Often, players have clearly executed the correct driving route and found the right opportunity, but the dunk bar's fluctuations lead to inconsistent results. This turns dunking from a skill-based activity into a matter of luck.
Even more problematic is that the differences between Posterizer levels don't meet player expectations.
Theoretically, there should be a significant difference between Bronze, Gold, and Legendary levels, but in actual gameplay, if your driving and dunking attributes are already high enough, the improvement from different badge levels isn't noticeable.
This is why many players are starting to question whether spending a lot of resources to pursue Legendary Posterizer is worthwhile.
If NBA 2K27 wants to improve its finishing system, the focus should be on the dunking mechanics themselves, rather than continuing to enhance Badge stats.
Attribute Values are More Important than Badges
My biggest takeaway from playing 2K these past few years is that attributes are becoming increasingly important.
Previously, many players would first consider how many Legendary Badges they could acquire when creating a template. But now, everyone is gradually realizing that the impact of high attributes is very significant. Take Physical Finisher Badge, for example. It was indeed very effective in NBA 2K26; the difference between Bronze and Gold, and between Gold and Legendary, was noticeable.
But consider it: why is it effective?
Because players who can obtain advanced Physical Finishers already have very high Strength attributes. A Strength of 90+ with a Badge performs completely differently from a Strength of 75+ with a Legendary Badge. This shows that, often, Badges are simply additional enhancements built upon existing attributes.
The same applies to Layup Badges. When players need 97 or even 99 points in driving layups to obtain the advanced Layup Mixmaster, the real determinant of performance is still that 99 attribute. Badges can be icing on the cake, but attributes are the foundation. I believe this is the most important point for players to consider when building in NBA 2K27.
My Prediction
My biggest prediction for NBA 2K27 is that Badge system won't change much.
2K is now more focused on optimizing game mechanics than adding more complex content. The real concern for players has shifted from "Are there new badges?" to "Are these badges actually useful?"
The strength of many badges may only be determined after the game's official release, through data testing by a professional team over several seasons. Their data will be more reliable than simply looking at the badge descriptions.
Therefore, if I were to give NBA 2K27 players some advice in advance, it would be to not be too distracted by legendary badges when building. Consider attributes first, then animations, and finally badge combinations.
After all, in recent 2K entries, what truly determines a player's strength has always been their overall ability, not how many legends are listed in Badge section.
As NBA 2K27 builds become more complex, saving time on upgrades will be important. Players who want to quickly test different templates and optimize their builds can pre-order NBA 2K27 MT from EZG.com to get the resources needed without wasting time on long grinds.
With Badge effects continuing to depend on attributes and gameplay mechanics, players should focus on how much impact each Badge actually provides instead of simply chasing higher Badge levels.
Palworld 1.0 Ultimate Breeding Guide: How to Hatch Perfect Pals, Unlock Best Skills and Build Your Ultimate Team?
Palworld, an action-adventure game combining open-world elements, monster taming, survival building, and shooting, officially released its 1.0 full version on July 10th after two and a half years in Early Access.
The game's core revolves around creatures called Pals, and players must survive in an unknown world. Pals are not only your combat partners but also your free labor force. Based on their attributes (such as watering, planting, power generation, mining, etc.), players can allocate them to their base for automated production.
Therefore, owning Pals is fundamental to playing the game well. In the game, you can capture Pals in the wild or choose to breed them, but most players choose Breeding.
Why Choose Breeding?
Creating the Perfect Skills
Wild Pals possess completely randomized Passive Skills, often including negative affixes such as Arrogance and Masochism.
However, through Breeding, you can perfectly pass on excellent Passive Skills scattered across different Pals, such as Legend (Attack +20%, Defense +20%, Movement Speed +15%), Musclehead (Attack +30%, Work Speed -50%), and Ferocious (Attack +20%), to Pal pups, creating a perfect Pal.
Easier Early Game
Many Wild Pals (such as Anubis, Lyleen, and Astegon) are high-level bosses (level 40+), making them difficult for players to capture in the early stages of Palworld 1.0 due to insufficient strength.
However, using the breeding system's formula, you can hatch the highly sought-after Anubis around level 20 using easily captured Robinquill and Vanwyrm.
Attribute Customization
Wild Pals have uncertain attributes, and their attribute data is not excellent. Therefore, you can Breeding pure working Pals with profession attributes, increasing their work speed by at least 70%. With the addition of Workaholic and Swift, Pals will tirelessly and relentlessly build a base for you.
Breeding Guide
Breeding System
Pals have a hidden Breeding Power stat; the offspring's fertility is the average of the parents' combined fertility. Therefore, if you want to breed powerful Pals, you need to address the issue at its source - that is, you must first find two powerful Pal parents.
The system calculates the average fertility of the parents and searches Palworld database for Pal with the closest value to that average as the hatchling result. If the average value is exactly in the middle of the two Pals, the one with the earlier number is usually chosen.
Secondly, the skills that the pup Pals can acquire are randomly selected from the parents' skill pool, and additional passive skills are randomly drawn based on RNG.
It's worth noting that mating Pals of the same species will guarantee offspring of the same species; some special legendary Pokémon can only be hatched through mating of the same species.
Preparation Process
Breeding Farm
To begin breeding, you need to reach a specific level and build a Breeding Farm. To unlock Breeding Farm, players need to reach level 19 in Palworld 1.0 and construct it using 100 wood, 20 stone, and 50 fiber. In the 1.0 official version, it can be upgraded to a multi-level or automated farm, increasing the efficiency of simultaneous breeding of multiple groups.
Breeding Lock
Once successfully built, players can place the two Pals they want to breed into Breeding Farm, and a breeding indicator will appear on the screen.
Cake Making
Since breeding requires cakes, the cooking station unlocked at level 17 comes in handy. Each egg produced during breeding requires one cake. Making a cake requires 5 times the flour, 8 cranberries, 7 times the milk, 8 eggs, and 2 parts honey, resulting in one regular cake.
If your breeding goal is to breed higher-tier Pals, you can also choose to make advanced cakes, such as Mushroom Cake, Vegetable Cake, Luxury Vegetable Cake, and special cakes. These advanced cakes provide powerful buffs to Pal pups.
Egg Hatching
Eggs of different sizes require different incubation times. While you can't determine the breed or Passive Skills after harvesting breeding eggs, you can guess their quality based on their size.
First, you need to build an incubator to ensure successful hatching. Construct a closed room of at least 2x2 square meters using stone or wood, complete with a floor, walls, and roof.
Second, you need to place the eggs in an Egg Incubator. Egg Incubator is the core facility in Palworld for converting eggs found through breeding or in the wild into Pals.
Egg Incubator is an ancient technology that requires Ancient Technology Points to unlock.
A regular Egg Incubator unlocks at level 7, while the electric Egg Incubator is a late-game technology unlocked in Palworld. It automatically adjusts the temperature to optimize Pal hatchlings' comfort, making it a powerful tool for breeding high-level Pals later in the game.
Egg Hatching Companions
Besides the type of Egg Incubator affecting the eggs, you can also add companions next to the eggs to assist you.
Beegarde helps Pals lay eggs faster. Placing a Beegarde in your base increases egg-laying speed by 20% at level 1 and by 50% at level 5.
Grintale increases your chance of getting two eggs at once.
Bronncherry and Broncherry Aqua increase your chance of hatching Alpha Pals.
Although Palworld 1.0 description states that effects from different species do not stack, testing shows that they do. Therefore, slightly increasing the level of these Pals companions will result in higher quality Pal pups.
Implants
Generally, the above breeding process is complete in the early stages of Palworld.
However, in the later stages, if you want to further ensure that all Pal pups have excellent passive skills, you can hatch eggs placed in Egg Incubator, place Pal pups on Pal Surgery Table, and ensure you have the corresponding passive skill items in your inventory.
Replace the randomly generated negative skills on the cub with the skills you want, or simply fill its empty skill slots to artificially create a perfect set of four Passive Skills.
Players should note that this procedure is irreversible; the implanted skills will permanently override Pals' original Passive Skills.
Of course, if you find the above process too cumbersome, or don't have enough resources to breed a perfect cub, you can buy Palworld Pals from EZG.com, which will save you more time and effort, allowing you to expand your territory faster.
In short, Pals are more than just virtual game creatures to players; you participate in their entire growth process and spend every day with them, making your connection with Pals inseparable. Hopefully, this breeding guide will help you obtain your ideal Pal companion.
Path of Exile Future Explained: Will It Survive Alongside PoE 2 or Is It Being Replaced?
Many players had believed that as Path of Exile 2 gained more attention, PoE 1 might gradually transition to maintenance, serving only existing players. However, the development team has clearly stated that this is not the case.
They hope both games can have their own space for development while continuing to expand Path of Exile community. Furthermore, they haven't stopped adjusting the core gameplay experience.
Path of Exile 3.29 Curse of the Allflame has been released, and in an interview, team members shared their views on future PoE 1 updates, new player experience, team development methods, and the relationship between PoE 1 and PoE 2.
Expected Updates - Make Easier to Learn for New Players
Official Perspective
One of the most resonated points within Path of Exile community is that the official focus is now on new players. What has led them to focus on the new player experience and how to get them started?
PoE team stated that if a game stops attracting new players, it will ultimately decline. Even if the current player base is very stable, it cannot be assumed that all players will remain. Therefore, Path of Exile will continue to lower the barrier to entry and improve the new player experience, thus maintaining the game's long-term vitality.
One of the biggest feedback from the community regarding Path of Exile is its complexity. While this complexity is part of PoE unique charm, the numerous systems, equipment mechanics, and technical terms can create a significant learning curve for newcomers to ARPGs.
Therefore, the developers have begun revising the early game flow to make it easier for first-time Path of Exile players to understand the game. These changes are not intended to reduce the game's depth, but to help more new players enter the vast Wraeclast.
Improvement Methods
Many new players may overlook Crafting Bench system during their ancient Path of Exile runs, or even be unaware of its importance. However, for experienced players, Crafting Bench is a crucial tool for addressing resistance, damage, and equipment enhancement issues by consuming Path of Exile Currency.
If a valuable tool, painstakingly crafted, cannot function because players are unaware of its existence, then this indicates a problem with the game's onboarding.
PoE developers need to make Crafting Bench more easily discoverable for players, such as by adding more town environments, allowing players to naturally encounter this feature as they progress through the story.
A keyword system is also a key feature that the community hopes will be implemented in Curse of the Allflame. This system allows players to view keywords in equipment or skill descriptions and get direct explanations without frequently switching to third-party wikis.
However, the development team also stated that the content of Path of Exile is so vast that it's currently impossible to add keyword explanations to all content at once. They will gradually improve this feature in future updates.
Advantages of Developing Simultaneously with Other Games
Many players are curious why Path of Exile can maintain a high update frequency while the team size is much smaller than some AAA studios. The development team revealed that the number of people currently responsible for the core development of PoE1 is not large, including game designers, gameplay programmers, UI programmers, and artists, totaling about a few dozen people.
To avoid excessive management layers, they emphasized that the company has fewer meetings and process restrictions, allowing developers to communicate directly with those responsible for decision-making. If a designer needs a specific art asset, they can directly contact the corresponding artist, instead of going through multiple departments for approval.
This direct communication method allows the team to resolve issues quickly. A modification request might receive feedback within minutes, rather than waiting days or even weeks. This is a key reason they can consistently release major league updates every few months. EZG believes this development model is worth emulating by other game companies.
Another reason is that a significant amount of content can be shared between the two games during the development of Path of Exile. For example, monster models, animations, boss designs, and some art assets can be adjusted and applied to different versions.
Community players have discovered that some boss content in POE 1 actually comes from asset reuse during POE 2 development process. By changing models, colors, equipment, effects, and animations, the same base asset can present a completely different combat experience.
Future Development of Both Games
Interoperability
Besides sharing some resources, community players frequently discuss the possibility of adding some excellent POE 2 features to POE 3.29, including the highly anticipated Build Planner and skill tree-related tools. The development team stated that the challenge wasn't primarily technical, but the allocation of UI development resources.
They hope to create a more similar tool experience for both games in the future, making it easier for players to switch between POE 1 and POE 2 when creating build guides and community content. This shared approach is a crucial link between the two titles; although they are different games, many systems, resources, and development experiences actually influence each other.
In the future, as both games continue to update, you'll can see more excellent features interacting between the two versions. For more information on the latest POE news, follow EZG Facebook. We also have limited-time Path of Exile Currency Giveaways.
Symbiosis and Coexistence
Regarding discussions about whether POE 2 will replace POE 1, the development team stated that they have no plans to abandon Path of Exile 1. For a long time to come, the team will continue to develop content for both POE 1 and POE 2, rather than relegating one game to a secondary position.
For them, the two titles are not competitors, but unique experiences sharing a large community. POE 2 can attract new players, while POE 1 still has its core player base. They hope the two games can mutually promote each other, bringing more players into the world of Path of Exile.
The official plans for Path of Exile series are very clear: POE 1 will continue to develop, while incorporating excellent designs from POE 2; the team will also continue to optimize the new player experience, allowing more players to enter this complex yet deep ARPG world. The future of Path of Exile will not only revolve around new titles, but the two games will grow together.
You're Not Losing TBC Classic Anniversary DPS Because of Gear - It's These Small Mistakes
As TBC Anniversary Phase timeline progresses and Phase 3 is about to open, Mount Hyjal and Black Temple are increasingly becoming core raid instances for players.
With Phase 2, which includes SSC and TK, nearing its end, many players are encountering a real problem:
Their gear is nearing endgame, and the difference between them and high-DPS players in their raids is not significant, yet their final boss damage rankings still show a huge gap.
Analyzing the DPS Gap
Recently, a BCC Anniversary community member used a combat log analysis tool to analyze over 42,000 characters and nearly 300,000 SSC/TK boss fights, attempting to identify the key performance differences between average and high-level players.
Of course, this data doesn't mean that fixing a single mistake will directly translate into a specific percentage of damage increase. High-ranking players typically excel not just in one area, but also in skill rotation, resource management, burst timing, positioning, and team coordination.
These gaps are not created by one single mistake, but by a combination of small decisions made throughout an entire fight. The following breakdown examines how these factors impact each DPS specialization and where players can improve their execution.
Arcane Mage
Arcane Mage has always been one of the most misunderstood classes in TBC Classic Anniversary.
Many players see high-ranking Arcane Mage players casting Arcane Blast over 40 times per minute and assume their problem is insufficient skill casting speed.
However, the most crucial aspect for Arcane Mage players is effective Mana management throughout the fight. In a 1-2 minute fast kill, Arcane Mage can cast Arcane Blast over 36 times per minute, but this number drops to around 17 times per minute as the fight exceeds 6 minutes.
In other words, Arcane Mage is essentially a resource race. If the boss falls quickly, and the raid provides Innervate, a fast kill environment, and burst opportunities, Arcane Mage can consume Mana at an alarming rate.
But if the fight drags on, without proper management of Mana Gems, Dark Runes, Trinkets, and Evocations, the more aggressive the early game, the more likely the character will enter a phase of inefficient DPS later on.
Entering Phase 3, many battles in Black Temple will test sustained damage output. The difference between an excellent Arcane Mage and an average Arcane Mage often depends on who can more precisely plan their Mana curve throughout the fight.
Hunter
Hunters are often considered the easiest class to play in BCC Anniversary, but the difference between high-level Hunters lies precisely in the details.
A difference of tens of milliseconds per hit may seem insignificant, but it accumulates over a boss fight, eventually creating a significant damage difference. Many Hunter players aren't incapable of using skills; they simply often fail to maintain their Auto-Shot rhythm when moving, casting skills, or repositioning.
Especially in Phase 3, with more movement mechanics in Mount Hyjal and Black Temple, maintaining uninterrupted attacks in complex environments becomes a crucial criterion distinguishing average Hunters from excellent ones.
Additionally, Melee Weaving is also a highly controversial technique among Hunters.
Data shows that only about 26% of Hunters actively engage in melee attacks. Average players perform about 5 melee attacks per minute, while high-level players can reach around 13.
However, this doesn't mean all Hunters should rush to the boss and hack away. In fact, players who consistently execute Melee Weaving usually have better Auto Shot control, skill rotation, and positioning. Therefore, to catch up with these skilled players in the upcoming Phase 3, average Hunters need to improve their overall execution.
Shadow Priests
The problem with Shadow Priests is very typical. Many BCC Anniversary players focus on the number of Mind Blast and Mind Flay casts, neglecting the class's core sustained damage ability.
Statistics show that Vampiric Touch has an average uptime of only 77%, with more than half of the records below 80%, and Shadow Priests maintaining over 95% uptime are very rare. Players who can maintain over 90% Vampiric Touch uptime have significantly higher overall DPS.
A similar situation exists with Shadow Word: Pain. For Shadow Priests, missing a filler skill has a limited impact, but creating a gap in a key DoT results in a loss of the entire DoT's damage over time. Therefore, Shadow Priests need consistent skill uptime.
Combat Rogue
Combat Rogue data shows that Rogues who maintain high Slice and Dice uptime have more stable DPS, while BCC Anniversary players who frequently miss Slice and Dice experience a significant drop.
This is a common mistake many Rogue players make. They spend a lot of time researching how to optimize gear stats with resources like WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Gold, neglecting the most basic maintenance skills in their skill bar.
Additionally, Expose Armor is also frequently overlooked in raids. In many SSC/TK fights, Expose Armor uptime is not ideal. Of course, high-coverage Expose Armor often indicates stronger team execution, thus, team factors are involved. However, entering Phase 3, a mature team needs to address these fundamental issues and cannot simply pursue gear upgrades.
Fury Warrior
Fury Warriors often complain about insufficient rage.
But data shows that the biggest advantage of excellent Warriors in BCC Anniversary is not having more Rage, but wasting less skill cooldown. Bloodthirst and Whirlwind both have fixed cooldowns; if a skill becomes available but isn't used in time, it's a direct loss.
Of course, combat duration affects the number of skills like Heroic Strike, but even controlling these factors, high-level Warriors can still more effectively utilize every output window.
With improved gear in Phase 3, Rage environment will further improve. Based on Phase 2 data, the real problem Warriors need to solve is ensuring their rotations are smooth enough, rather than constantly complaining about insufficient Rage.
With Mount Hyjal and Black Temple of BCC Anniversary Phase 3 about to open, the competition for new gear will begin. However, players who can consistently achieve high DPS are often those who are willing to perfect every detail; superior gear is only a secondary factor.
Diablo 4 Season 14 Patch 3.1.1a Makes Freeze Barbarian the New Meta: Best Endgame Build with Unlimited Iconic Mythic Uniques
Diablo 4 Season 14 Patch 3.1.1a represents a complete compromise from the developers for the players.
This hotfix not only completely removes the restriction that players can only equip one Mythic Unique crafted using Horadric Cube at a time, but also significantly increases the drop rate of Mythic Uniques dropped by Corrupted Reaper and Iconic Mythic for each class, making it the most efficient monster-farming spot in the game.
This means that some builds heavily reliant on Mythic Uniques and Iconic Mythic can now be available much earlier. For example, Freeze Barbarian. This build has always been a top choice for advanced players pushing Tower because of its terrifying late-game stats.
The reason it's a late-game pick is because crafting a full Freeze Barbarian build requires a large amount of Mythic Uniques, Gold, and other upgrade materials, which are difficult for players to gather in the early game.
However, the situation has changed. You can even start preparing this incredibly powerful build now. Below is the detailed configuration for Freeze Barbarian, currently best suited for Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening.
Key Skills
Whirlwind is the core mechanic of Freeze Barbarian, playing an absolutely crucial role in output, control, and resource triggering.
After fixing the underlying bug in Dust Devils and enhancing Channering Damage Bonus in Diablo 4 Season 14, combined with the ability to equip multiple self-upgrading Mythic Uniques, it can instantly freeze and kill monsters, creating a chain of Freeze procs.
Through combination with key equipment, it can continuously release skills while triggering resource recovery, and survivability is also significantly improved, reaching the strength of a top-tier endgame build.
Equipment
The main equipment for Freeze Barbarian includes:
Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty
Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty allows Barbarians to enter a stronger Overpower state when they regain Berserking while in Berserking state, significantly increasing critical hit damage, attack speed, and Fury regeneration.
For Freeze Barbarians, this primarily provides infinite Fury and rapid freezing: the greatly increased attack speed allows for a rapid increase in Whirlwind frequency, triggering a massive number of Lucky Hit in a short period, instantly freezing a screen full of monsters.
Under the fixed rules of Diablo 4 Season 14, this helmet is forcibly bound to +Strength base and Berserking duration upon drop, while the remaining two affixes are randomly generated, thus greatly reducing the difficulty of equipping Freeze Barbarians.
Rage of Harrogath
Rage of Harrogath received a 30% Mythic Aspect buff in Season 14, granting a high chance to reduce the cooldown of all non-ultimate abilities when inflicting bleed effects on enemies.
For Freeze Barbarian, the high-frequency bleed from Whirlwind allows for increased damage and cooldown reduction, achieving near-infinite sustain, even against large groups of enemies.
Gohr's Devastating Grips
Gohr's Devastating Grips received a new Mythic Aspect after Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening: automatically casting a gravity-based crowd control effect every 2 seconds.
This effect instantly pulls surrounding enemies to the center of Barbarian's icy abyss. Combined with Azurewrath's freezing mechanic, the pulled enemies are instantly frozen into ice sculptures, triggering terrifying chain damage.
Tibault's Will
When Freeze Barbarian uses a crowd control break or Cry ability while spinning, Tibault's Will instantly restores all Fury, providing top-tier burst damage for a fatal blow in the split second when monsters are frozen.
Melted Heart of Selig
After Diablo 4 Season 14 3.1.1a, due to the unparalleled full-body Mythic Uniques, combined with the terrifying Fury regeneration from Tibault's Will and Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty, this amulet possesses a near-infinite Fury shield.
This allows Barbarian to ignore any one-hit kill mechanics even when surrounded by monsters in Abyss, frantically spinning and freezing monsters while simultaneously absorbing full damage.
Weapon
The Grandfather
As a top-tier Iconic Mythic in Diablo 4, its core function is to directly multiply your critical strike damage by 150%, and it also comes with the weapon's indestructibility affix.
The Grandfather not only doubles the physical damage of Freeze Barbarian but also grants a terrifyingly high Freeze procs, making this build a benchmark for climbing T12 final Ladder.
Ramaladni's Magnum Opus
Because of the new Mythic drop lock affix mechanism in Diablo 4 Season of Death Awakening, Ramaladni's Magnum Opus will now be guaranteed to have Life Per Hit affix upon dropping. This allows Freeze Barbarians to instantly recover to full health when using Whirlwind at low health, significantly improving survivability in high-difficulty levels.
Azurewrath
Azurewrath has received two officially mandated affixes in the new season's Unique drop pool revamp. Every Azurewrath weapon that drops will now guarantee +Attack Speed or Lucky Hit Chance and Life Per Hit, eliminating the possibility of rolling useless affixes as before.
Furthermore, it provides the underlying keystone for Freeze Barbarian's freezing attribute. Barbarian, thanks to Whirlwind's high hit rate, can freeze an entire screen of monsters in one second, perfectly synergizing with the increased damage from Frost Shatter added in Diablo 4 Season 14.
In short, the new Diablo 4 season and updates like Patch 3.1.1a have made Freeze Barbarian stronger and easier to gear up.
As is typical for developers, this kind of opportunistic advantage might not last long. You can follow EZG Facebook for the latest updates on Diablo 4 in-game patches and the ongoing Gift of the Tree event.

Runewords
Besides gear, Runewords are the underlying power source for seamlessly freezing an entire screen of monsters instantly, in addition to Azurewrath.
Cir+Thul
This Runewords set allows Freeze Barbarian to automatically explode Frost Nova in all directions while spinning, instantly freezing clustered monsters into ice sculptures when combined with Gohr's Devastating Grips.
Igni + Ohm
Cir build allows for extremely rapid accumulation of 600 Tributes through high-frequency rapid-fire, triggering Ohm's enhanced Cry.
This not only doubles Barbarian's global independent damage multiplier again, but the instant Fury regeneration from Cry continuously replenishes the shield charge for Melted Heart of Selig, achieving massive damage increases while remaining completely invincible in high-level Rifts.
Freeze Barbarian has become one of the most popular Barbarian builds. Utilize this powerful setup for efficient monster farming in Diablo 4 Season 14's final stages, rushing through Tower and earning tons of gold and items.
