Call Of Duty Black Ops 7 Zombies Guide | Every Elite Zombie And Special Zombie Explained

This guide offers a concise breakdown of every Elite and Special enemy in Black Ops 7 Zombies, outlining their weaknesses and key strategies to help you survive and push deeper into Dark Aether.

Nov 28, 2025 Author: EZG

Once Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 officially went live, its long-awaited Zombies mode quickly reclaimed the spotlight, sparking renewed excitement and conversation across the player community.

This storyline takes players directly to the heart of Dark Aether, where Requiem Crew and new members of the original squad will embark on a cross-dimensional journey of redemption, aiming to retrieve the soul fragments stolen by a mysterious force at the beginning of Ashes of the Damned season.

The official announcement confirms that the game will continue with six seasons of updates, releasing multiple new maps and a wealth of Easter Egg Quests, promising a feast for Zombies mode fans.

On your journey deeper into Dark Aether, you will encounter enemies with diverse forms and abilities. For players seeking full achievements and a deep experience, Elite Zombies and Special Zombies are undoubtedly key objectives for unlocking rare camouflage patterns, Calling Cards, and challenging achievements.

Below is a complete guide and strategies for Elite Zombies and Special Zombies confirmed by EZG.com, providing tactical guidance for your survival journey.Call Of Duty Black Ops 7 Zombies Guide | Every Elite Zombie And Special Zombie Explained

All Elite Zombies

1. Zursa

As the first elite threat you encounter on your journey in Dark Aether, Zursa, with its intimidating appearance and attack methods, has become a nightmare for many new players.

It only appears in Ashes of the Damned map, and both the main storyline and specific points of interest in Survival Mode can become its hunting grounds.

From turn 16 onwards, Zursa will naturally spawn on the battlefield and is also a regular member of the main storyline boss fight. However, adventurous players may encounter it earlier; you can trigger this encounter by completing Skulls step in Zaya Cosmodrome Main Easter Egg Quest.

When facing this enemy, equipping Napalm Burst is of paramount importance, as it is key to breaking through its defenses. In actual combat, you need to concentrate your firepower on its multiple glowing weak points to inflict considerable critical damage.

Remember to keep a safe distance from it to avoid its rapid, continuous attacks. Also, when it summons a large number of zombie minions, be sure to clear them out quickly before they surround you.

Furthermore, Psych Grenade is also a powerful weapon against it. It not only temporarily makes it fight for you, but also deals significant damage when the effect ends, making it an effective strategy for a quick kill.

2. Uber Klaus

Uber Klaus is a powerful elite enemy that appears in a specific mission. Players will only encounter it directly during Necrofluid Gauntlet Quest.

The specific trigger condition is: after reaching the 8th round of the game, open the door of Ashwood Sheriff’s Office, then return to Janus Towers Plaza and go to its western corner. Uber Klaus will then emerge from the ground, bringing a very imposing boss battle.

It exhibits weaknesses against both Napalm Burst and Cryo Freeze Ammo Mods. To defeat it,you first need to precisely destroy the two glowing points on its shoulders; destroying them will break its shield.

Once the shield is broken, its vulnerable core will be exposed, providing the perfect opportunity to unleash all your firepower.

Throughout the battle, mobility is crucial for survival. You must skillfully dodge its heavy punches, long-range artillery fire, and triple-shot barrages that leave persistent damage zones on the battlefield.

Be especially wary of its leaping ability; it can close the distance instantly and disrupt your positioning.CoD Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies Hot Sale At EZG.com

All Special Zombies

1. Uber Klaus Core

The battle doesn't end after Uber Klaus's main mech is destroyed. Its Core will eject from the rubble, continuing to fight as a separate, offensive special unit.

Although categorized as a Special Zombie, it is essentially part of Uber Klaus and therefore inherits the same Ammo Mod weakness: extreme sensitivity to Napalm Burst and Cryo Freeze.

This Core has significantly less health than its full form, but is more mobile and retains the ability to fire area-of-effect projectiles.

Therefore, the most effective way to deal with it is to continuously attack its core torso, which usually eliminates it quickly. The key is to keep moving and avoid its final counterattack to safely end the battle.

2. Doppelghast

Doppelghasts are elusive Special Enemies, currently primarily active in Relic Trials of Cursed Mode. They also appear in Vandorn Farm Survival map and after round 40 in Cursed Mode.

This enemy has a known fatal weakness – Light Mend, but it should be noted that this Ammo Mod will not be officially implemented until the first season update.

To deal with Doppelghasts, accurate headshots are the only way to inflict effective damage. They are known for their extremely high movement speed and will relentlessly pursue you. Upon closing in, they will unleash a melee attack or a ranged attack that slows the player's movement speed.

Even more alarming is that even after they are defeated, their debris will explode shortly, causing an area-of-effect slowing effect on nearby players – a true death trap.

3. Shock Mimic

Shock Mimic returns in BO7 from BO6, but its activity is now limited to Cursed mode.

You can encounter them in Relic Trials of this mode, especially in trials related to Lawyer's Pen Relic, where their spawn rate increases significantly.

Another trigger is that after successfully unlocking Lawyer's Pen Relic, actively activating Relic in any map of Cursed mode will also attract Shock Mimic.

This monster's weakness is Brain Rot Ammo Mod; its sole vulnerability lies within its gigantic, eerily glowing maw.

To quickly defeat it, precise shooting into its mouth is essential. Maintaining distance is crucial in combat, as it possesses a highly dangerous combo attack.

First, it unleashes a pulling energy that forcibly pulls the player towards it, followed by a rapid melee attack. This is followed by a shockwave that knocks the player back and inflicts secondary damage. Being pulled close makes the player highly vulnerable to its combo attacks, resulting in significant health loss.

With subsequent updates to Season 1 and beyond, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies mode will introduce even more unique enemies and mechanic innovations.

For players eager for a challenge, this guide to Elite Zombies and Special Zombies is just the first step in uncovering the truth of Dark Aether. Many more hidden threats await your discovery!
