This bug is called looping. As the name suggests, you drive your car through a drift zone, then instead of following the intended route, you cut back to the path you came from. You've gone in a circle and continue drifting, and the key is that you don't lose any points. The game continues to calculate your score as if nothing happened.

I believe 90% of you have known about this bug for a long time, because it's been around for so long. It's just unbelievable that it still exists after all these years; it's absurd.

Driving Off-road Without Consequences

Next, I'm going to talk about a bug that truly baffles me. I don't understand why the developers designed the drift zone mechanism so inexplicably. You can drive your car far off the road, completely off the asphalt, and still score points. Even more outrageous is that players aren't penalized for failed drifts.

In FH6 drift zones, you can completely ignore the winding roads and drive on the grass or dirt on either side. If that's possible, what's the point of designing these roads?

Transition Spamming

Most experienced players will know the previous two points. What I'm about to say might not be as well known, but I think it's the crux of the problem.

What I'm talking about is called transition spamming, which completely eliminates skill differences in Forza Horizon 6 drift zones.

Cheaters operate like this: when driving through the drift zone, instead of trying to smoothly connect all the corners and correctly extend the line, they start swaying the car left and right. They repeat this over and over, continuously performing combos to gain a large number of points.

We compared a skilled player in the drift zone with this cheater. Do you know how much the final score difference was? Almost nothing; the scores were nearly identical.

Since the same score can be achieved by repeatedly using simple transition spamming, I wonder what the point is of extending the drift line and drifting normally? Do players even need to practice skills and techniques?

Besides, we've discovered something even worse: some people are combining off-road loopholes with the abuse of transition spamming. Imagine someone going off the track and frantically using transition spamming, resulting in a score that far exceeds normal records. This is incredibly discouraging for regular players.

Leaderboard Issues

Currently, FH6 leaderboards only show rankings and times, without video recordings. Regular players can only see that someone might have scored higher, but they can't be sure if that person legally completed the drift zone or used the loopholes I mentioned above.

Therefore, most people no longer look at this leaderboard and instead use a community-driven leaderboard where players post their drift zone records and personal bests, competing with each other using real video evidence. This is very effective in proving the legitimacy of results.

This is enough to illustrate how terrible Forza Horizon 6's leaderboard is - so bad that the community needs to create a fair and effective one.

Frame Gen Nightmare

The following content only works on newer PCs with Nvidia's DLSS 3 frame generation technology. It works like this: a frame generator is a technology that uses AI to create extra frames for you. If you run the game at 30 FPS and have a 4x frame generator enabled, your game will appear to run at 120 FPS.

But here's the problem with Forza Horizon 6. For some reason, in drift zones, the game divides your FPS by the frame generator multiplier. So, if you run the game at 100 FPS and have a 4x frame generator enabled, your game will appear to run at 400 FPS, but FH6 will divide it by 4, resulting in 25 FPS.

This leads to a huge score difference for completing the same content in the game, thus disrupting the balance of the entire scoring system. Currently, the drift zone in this game is plagued by various cheats and exploits, creating chaos. Some players have even used every possible method in a single drift, which is truly unbelievable.

If these exploits aren't fixed, I believe many players will never touch the drift zone again. However, these exploits are deeply ingrained in the game mechanics, and fixing them requires the development team to fundamentally change how the drift zone works.
