Choosing the wrong class in Mistfall Hunter can end your game before it even begins. This is an extraction game where every engagement has real consequences.
Whether you're farming PvE bosses or getting ambushed by other players near an extraction point, the difference between a good and bad class choice will quickly become apparent.
There are six classes in the game, and their strengths are not evenly distributed. This article will provide a ranking of the classes in Mistfall Hunter to help you make a decision.

- S-Tier: Sorcerer
- A-Tier: Shadowstrix
- B-Tier: Withered Knight, Mercenary, Blackarrow
- C-Tier: Seer
S-Tier
Sorcerer
Sorcerer is currently the undisputed strongest class in Mistfall Hunter. Although it has the lowest health of all classes, it possesses both single-target and area-of-effect elemental attacks, allowing it to clear out groups of enemies and eliminate them before they can get close.
The core skill Flame Tempest can unleash a large-area firestorm to block off choke points, while Glacial Blink allows you to teleport backward, leaving an icy trail behind you that slows down any pursuing enemies.
The core talent that a Sorcerer needs to build around is Elemental Resonance, which amplifies magical damage when alternating between fire and ice spells. However, with attribute points allocated to Spell Power and Critical Strike Chance, Sorcerer can become a fragile yet high-damage class, ending battles before low health becomes a weakness.
In addition, Blink dash skill deserves special mention. In PvP against aggressive melee players, this is a crucial mechanic for Sorcerer's survival. Without it, the class is in a very passive position; with it, you can maintain offensive pressure while avoiding the range of sword-wielding attacks.
High damage output, crowd control skills, and the ability to compensate for low health with Blink make it one of the most well-rounded choices in both PvE and PvP. That said, this class is extremely penalized for positioning mistakes, so it may not be suitable for all players. Players should choose carefully based on their skill level.
A-Tier
Shadowstrix
Shadowstrix is the assassin class in Mistfall Hunter, with core gameplay revolving around stealth, burst damage, and quick disengagement. In PvP, it can sometimes even be more advantageous than Sorcerer because it can control the timing and manner of engagement.
Veil of Shadows ability allows Shadowstrix to enter full stealth, concealing footsteps and radar signatures, while Viper Strike inflicts armor penetration damage and applies a poison-over-time effect upon breaking stealth.
From the Ashes core talent makes this burst combo extremely deadly: it significantly increases critical strike damage for 3 seconds after breaking stealth, and combined with key attributes like Agility and Armor Penetration, Shadowstrix can eliminate squishy targets before they can even react.
For solo players, the stealth mechanic also has defensive value. When the situation gets out of control and multiple players surround you, being able to disappear and find a better opportunity to fight is far more valuable than simply dealing damage.
However, this class requires an extremely high level of skill. Positioning and timing are crucial; once Shadowstrix is exposed in open areas without stealth, it is much more vulnerable than most classes.
B-Tier
Withered Knight
Withered Knight is a heavily armored front-line warrior wielding a two-handed greatsword and possessing a unique rune combo system. In regular melee combos, this class applies Withering Sigils to the target.
When Withering Sigils are fully stacked, Reckoning skill detonates them, dealing burst damage and powerful crowd control. In PvP, Thorn Guide primary skill can pull high-priority targets out of formation and into your optimal attack range, perfectly complementing the sigils detonation cycle.
Withered Knight's core talent, Withering Talent, adds powerful crowd control to its primary attacks, making it a true battlefield disruptor when played correctly.
However, this class's weakness lies in its need for sustained offensive pressure to be effective. Any gaps in Sigils stacking loop leave openings, which experienced PvP opponents will exploit. Despite its heavy-armored knight appearance, its gameplay leans more towards an assassin, requiring players to adapt throughout their Mistfall Hunter experience.
Mercenary
Mercenary is my most recommended class for action game beginners or those new to extraction ARPGs. It offers two weapon configurations: a sword and shield combination (defensive, fast-paced attacks) or a greatsword (high damage but sacrificing some defense). Whirlwind Cleave reliably handles PvE enemies, while Victory Wine provides continuous health regeneration and a physical attack boost.
The class's core talent, Bloodthirst Frenzy, provides a cumulative attack speed bonus based on kills, making monster-killing increasingly smooth as combat progresses. If you prioritize stacking Total Vitality and Lifesteal, you can transform Mercenary into a highly forgiving, self-sufficient warrior.
However, its potential isn't as high as Sorcerer's or Shadowstrix's. Against equally skilled opponents using top-tier classes, Mercenary struggles to dominate in PvP, but it allows you to survive long enough without frequent penalties to learn the game mechanics.
Blackarrow
Blackarrow is a ranged archer who kites enemies and applies status effects from a distance. The advantage is obvious: maintaining distance means avoiding damage. The disadvantage is that most classes close the distance faster than beginners expect, and Blackarrow has low health, offering no reliable escape options other than skillful dodging.
In Mistfall Hunter, this is a high-risk, high-reward class, heavily reliant on third-person shooting accuracy. In PvP, a few missed shots can completely turn the tide of battle. Skilled players can unleash its true value, but the margin for error is extremely low.
C-Tier
Seer
Seer is a support class in Mistfall Hunter. In solo play, supports struggle to reach their full potential.
However, Seer becomes much more valuable in a well-coordinated team. Astral Bond connects teammates to share damage and provide continuous healing. Celestial Tether can immobilize enemy front-line units, protecting back-line players.
Seer's core talent, Echoing Omens, provides a second trigger condition for support spells, effectively increasing the output of control skills. Prioritize Cooldown Reduction and Spirit Power for skill attributes to maintain skill rotation.
The problem lies in offensive capabilities. While possessing a hammer, Seer struggles to create effective pressure alone. In solo retreats or in teams lacking communication, its performance lags behind all other classes. Its value increases significantly if you frequently play with a fixed team.
This concludes the article on class rankings in Mistfall Hunter. After reading this article, you should now know which class is best suited for you. So, go ahead and try it out! We hope you have a great gaming experience.
