MLB The Show 26 Beltran Collection: The Best Way to Reach 30 Collections Without Wasting Stubs

99 OVR Carlos Beltran is one of MLB The Show 26's top endgame rewards. Learn the fastest Collection route, best sets to complete, and where to use skips to save Stubs and secure this elite switch-hitting star.

Jul 28, 2026 Author: EZG

MLB The Show 26's Hall of Fame Legends & Flashbacks Collection brings one of the most anticipated ultimate reward cards of the year - 99 OVR Carlos Beltran.

To obtain this card, players need to complete multiple Collection Programs within Hall of Fame Legends & Flashbacks.

While there are a considerable number of collections, this year the system offers two skip opportunities and has removed some previously required special series, reducing the overall pressure compared to previous years.

Below, we'll guide players through a more efficient path to unlocking 99 Beltran, covering Collection requirements, series priorities, cost-saving tips, and the fastest acquisition method.

MLB The Show 26 Beltran Collection: The Best Way to Reach 30 Collections Without Wasting Stubs

Collectible Value

99 Beltran's biggest advantage lies in his versatility. This MLB 26 player card possesses switch-hitting ability, offering good hitting adaptability against different pitchers. Combined with an excellent swing feel, his consistency in games is outstanding.

At the outfield position, Beltran possesses speed, power, and defensive capabilities. He also brings elite athleticism to the outfield, with the speed to impact baserunning and the defensive tools needed for competitive play.

For an outfielder who needs a consistent starting position, this card has virtually no significant weaknesses.

Acquisition Requirements

To unlock 99 OVR Carlos Beltran, you need to complete 30 Collection Programs in Hall of Fame Legends & Flashbacks.

This year's MLB 26 Collection design is more user-friendly than before. Jackie Robinson Collection has been cancelled, and Mexico City Series is no longer a required program. Players also have two Skip opportunities to skip two high-cost series.

Low-Cost Collection

A common mistake is investing in expensive legendary cards too early. Beltran Collection can be progressed efficiently by starting with more affordable series. Players should prioritize clearing out lower-priced, more readily available series early on.

All-Star Collection

All-Star Collection is essentially a low-stress program within Collection category.

The biggest advantage of this series is its abundant card sources. You can obtain a significant amount of content through regular gameplay, with no need to invest many stubs initially. This series is highly recommended for players just starting out with Beltran Collection.

2nd Half Heroes Series

The second series to consider is 2nd Half Heroes Series.

This series isn't overly large, and the card prices are relatively affordable. Some player cards may even see price drops in MLB 26 market because of subsequent bundle events.

If you're not in a rush to get Beltran that day, waiting for market adjustments will be much more comfortable and save you a considerable amount of stubs.

Standout Series

Standout Series is a classic example of a low-cost, high-return collection for completing a collection.

Its value doesn't lie in the strength of the reward cards obtained from completing this series, but in the low cost of completing it, allowing players to quickly reach the 30 Collection goal.

Milestones Collection

Milestones Collection is a highly recommended priority within the entire Collection path. The reason is simple: it offers a lot of free resources.

MLB 26 already offers many Milestone cards that can be earned directly. Players don't need to rely entirely on the market to complete numerous collections.

Home Run Derby Collection

While Home Run Derby Collection requires some resource investment, the overall pressure isn't as extreme as the top-tier collections. Some cards are priced around tens of thousands of MLB The Show 26 Stubs, making this investment more reasonable compared to Awards or WBC series.

If your goal is to consistently complete 30 collections, this series can be used as a mid-to-late game supplement.

Summer Collection

Summer Collection is also a program I highly recommend completing.

The biggest advantage of this collection is that the resources you spend won't simply become numbers in your inventory, and the players you acquire won't just sit idle; they can still be used in online matches or other modes.

Collections Not Recommended

30 collections sounds like a lot, but truly savvy MLB 26 players will choose to forgo several high-cost collections. Where you use these two key skips will largely determine your Collection experience.

Awards Collection

Awards Collection is the most typical high-investment program.

This collection features many powerful players, but the problem is also very obvious - they're expensive.

For example, cards like Craig Biggio and Cody Bellinger can account for a large portion of Collection's cost. Completing this collection requires a significant investment of Stubs, resources that could be used on other, easier-to-complete Collections.

Unless you already have an enormous collection of Awards cards, using skips here is more cost-effective.

World Baseball Classic Collection

WBC collection is also recommended to skip. Its biggest problem is its sheer size and the large number of cards required. This collection involves over 140 cards, making it extremely costly for the average player to complete.

Investing many Stubs to complete a collection will severely slow down your overall Beltran Collection progress. If your goal is simply to get 99 Beltrans, there's no need to waste resources here.

Spotlight Series

Spotlight Series is a rather special category.

If you've been consistently progressing through MLB 26 and already have numerous Spotlight reward cards, completing it shouldn't be too difficult.

However, if you've rarely done Spotlight missions before, starting from scratch will be very resource intensive.

Beltran Program

While collecting Collections is crucial, another indispensable part of the strategy for quickly obtaining Beltran is Beltran Program itself, which provides a significant amount of progress.

The entire Program consists of 9 Moments. By spending a little time completing them in MLB 26, you can earn many star rewards. The first 8 Moments each provide 3 stars, and the last provides 4 stars, for a total of 56 Program progress points.

MLB The Show 26's Collection system provides players with many free ways to acquire resources.

By controlling the pace of acquisitions, avoiding high-price traps, and using Skip in the right places, most players can complete 30 Collections at a more reasonable cost and eventually add the legendary Outfielder - Carlos Beltran of 99 OVR - to their dream team lineup.
