MLB The Show 26 Update 12 focuses on bug fixes, UI improvements, and stability across modes. It fixes Exhibition lineup issues, UI timer errors, Xbox depth-of-field, and jersey textures. Jun 16, 2026 Author: EZG

MLB The Show 26 will receive Game Update 12 on June 16th. Fixing known bugs across multiple game modes is the primary focus of this update.

The core of this update is not new content, but rather a unified correction of Diamond Dynasty resource acquisition path and the stability of some game modes. It will also adjust player performance and reward structure in conjunction with subsequent content updates.

Time and Update Number

MLB The Show 26 update 12 will be pushed out at 4:00 AM Pacific Time on June 16th. This timeframe only includes code-level fixes and does not involve changes to player appearances, jersey materials, or the reward pool.

This phase of the update can be understood as a basic fix layer, primarily aimed at stabilizing the underlying system logic and not directly affecting the content structure or reward system.

The associated MLB 26 content update will be deployed independently approximately 8 hours later, at 12:00 PM. The content truly involving player appearance updates, reward reverts, and some system performance changes will all be completed during this phase.

Therefore, focusing solely on the early morning update may underestimate the overall impact of this patch.

Players are advised to prioritize completing ongoing WBC Mini Seasons during the morning hours to avoid discrepancies in progress assessment because of subsequent reward structure adjustments.

The update identifier for MLB The Show 26 differs across consoles: PS5 displays 1.0012, Xbox Series X|S displays 1.0.68, and Nintendo Switch displays 1.012.

This update number difference is solely because of platform packaging rules and does not indicate different update content, nor does it affect the actual scope of fixes.

Regular Fixes

These regular fixes primarily focus on Exhibition, UI display, and visual performance on consoles, and are system stability adjustments.

Regarding Exhibition, an issue previously occurred where pitcher decision options were missing in the schedule calendar under Daily Lineups. The problem undermined the consistency of tactical configurations before matches, especially when simulating season play, and might have disrupted the order of starting lineups.

After update 12, this logic has been restored to normal, and pitcher selection can now be performed correctly for all scheduled games.

Regarding interface performance, the timer on MLB 26 daily login reward screen previously exhibited visual persistence, causing an incorrect "early end" display. While this issue did not affect the actual reward time, it could easily lead to misjudgments in the reward claim window. After the fix, the timer display is now fully synchronized with real time.

In Xbox Series X|S update, the depth-of-field option previously had an issue with incorrect rendering, affecting the background blur effect from the batting perspective and thus interfering with pitch trajectory judgment. After the fix, this visual parameter loads correctly, improving overall visual consistency.

Diamond Dynasty

Diamond Dynasty-related adjustments primarily focus on Mini Seasons experience and WBC season mechanics.

In Mini Seasons, a series of final score display has been added, optimizing information upfront and reducing the need for players to frequently exit the simulation to check progress, making continuous progression smoother.

Regarding WBC Mini Seasons, a bug previously allowed players to bypass preliminary matches, repeatedly simulate championship matches, and claim rewards. This issue has been fixed in update 12; match progress must now be completed sequentially to reach the final stage.

Simultaneously, the midday content update will adjust WBC reward structure, reverting it to the normal Championship bundle and overriding any abnormal reward acquisitions, thus restoring season rewards to the standard path.

This adjustment also means that all subsequent reward acquisition will strictly adhere to the normal process; non-standard looping methods will no longer be effective.

It is recommended to complete currently ongoing match progress before MLB 26 content update to avoid the system adjusting progress and affecting the experience.

Jersey and Visual Fixes

Orioles and Red Sox away and backup jerseys previously had texture anomalies, including color misalignment and missing letters, which were noticeable in some matchups and Moments modes.

After the fix, jersey display has returned to consistency in all relevant modes, and the visual recognition issue has been resolved.

Player Card Updates

This card update will take effect uniformly after the content update at noon on June 16th. It involves adjustments to the facial models, body types, and equipment details of 33 players. This is a full-mode update and will not affect card acquisition methods, but it will change their appearance.

Further refinements to some players' movements will also bring changes to actual gameplay. For example, Gerrit Cole's pitching rhythm has been adjusted, and Paul Goldschmidt's batting stance has been optimized. While these changes have no impact on player statistics, they do alter release timing and visual cues, thus necessitating a period of adaptation.

In addition, the model updates for younger players such as Roman Anthony, Samuel Basallo, and Chase Burns mainly focus on realism and detail reproduction, significantly improving the immersive experience.

While this MLB The Show 26 update 12 primarily focuses on bug fixes, the real emphasis is on two aspects: WBC Mini Seasons reward structure revert, and the changes to player appearance and operational feedback brought about by the noon content update.

The remaining fixes mainly aim to restore system stability and interface consistency, bringing overall operation back to a unified standard rather than individual patching.
