WoW Midnight officially launches on March 2nd! Some players who pre-ordered Epic Edition pre-order bundle are already experiencing the game's charm early on.
One player, after just seeing the Arator's section, couldn't help but slap their thighs in admiration, praising the game's content and story as top-notch. It's easy to imagine that Midnight campaign will be absolutely spectacular.
So, what's the game really like? How can you quickly earn money in the game? Players still waiting for the launch shouldn't worry; after reading this money-making guide, your efficiency will increase threefold!
Grinding Method
This grinding method focuses entirely on Leather from Skinning Profession, rather than Scales or other items. Leather consistently sells for about twice the price of Scales, making it a more attractive resource in the early stages of WoW Midnight.
More importantly, once you learn Thorough Tanning in Skinning, you'll unlock Sharpen Your Knife. With this skill, you can not only sharpen your knife but also obtain a stable source of animal hides.
If you further upgrade your skill points to ensure the leather reaches quality level 2, then farming Leather, which previously only earned 200 gold, can now earn 3,000 WoW Midnight gold, making Leather farming extremely profitable. Combined with a Dedicated Diffuser, this method of making money becomes unparalleled.
Therefore, Leather is the true money-maker. A single high-quality Leather can yield very high returns, and the profit from quickly obtaining multiple pieces of leather can instantly surpass that of ordinary material gathering.
Additionally, the developers' recent drop system has slightly weakened the traditional Tailoring Cloth Farming method, especially in groups. While it's still possible to farm Cloth by cleverly manipulating group layers, this requires constantly disbanding and regrouping, which is tedious and inefficient for most players.
In contrast, Skinning remains simple and straightforward. Form a group, pull mobs, skin them together, and you'll make money. No layer switching, no awkward waiting times, and no complicated workarounds.
Spawn Location
The spawn point is located in a lake outside the entrance to Silvermoon City. This location is easy to find but also easy to miss. It primarily inhabits Gloombelly Toads, skinnable frog-like creatures. These monsters respawn quickly and in large numbers, making it an ideal location for AoE attacks.
Besides frogs, there are other skinnable creatures nearby, such as Resplendent Hawks, but frogs are your primary target; don't let other creatures distract you. Your goal is simple: continuously pull monsters, group them together, and use AoE attacks to maximize skinning efficiency.
Team Size
This gold farming method doesn't actually require very high damage output. How difficult can frogs be? The most important thing is to find a reliable team to help you pull monsters. A common team setup is 2x4, meaning two groups of four players cooperating.
However, extensive practical experience has shown that a five-player team performs better for skinning. In a five-player team, teammates can all pull monsters, allowing you to gather the collected monsters together before killing them. This results in faster and more efficient skinning, as all the corpses are concentrated in one place.
In contrast, 2x4 teams often kill monsters too quickly, resulting in scattered corpses and wasting time moving or flying between skinning targets.
That said, 2x4 does have a major advantage: more players will actively pull monsters, resulting in more materials collected. In fact, both configurations are viable if your team coordinates well. The final choice depends entirely on your personal preference.
Class Combinations
While many combinations work, certain classes are better suited to this farming method due to their ranged marking and AoE pulling abilities.
The ideal 5-person team composition is as follows:
- 1 × Hunter
- 3 × Balance Druids
- 1 × Monk
Hunters possess spells like Barrage, excelling at pulling large numbers of monsters; Balance Druids offer excellent mobility, instant-cast marking, and powerful AoE damage.
While a Monk isn't strictly necessary, their summoned Statue provides a unique advantage. Their role is to place and maintain Statue, keeping monsters together and ensuring stable pulling. With this setup, you effectively have four dedicated mob pullers and one anchor point to gather enemies.
The success of this farming spot depends 70% on teamwork; at least three teammates need to consistently and actively pull mobs from different directions. Each puller is responsible for a specific area near the lake, pulling enemies back to the central kill point.
If players simply stand still and wait for mobs to be pulled, the team will fail. Even players with high damage output will see reduced hourly earnings if they don't actively pull mobs. Successful teams are proactive, mobile, and constantly pulling mobs.
Low Gear, High Earnings
A major advantage of this farming method is its extremely low entry barrier. Even without optimized tools, enchantments, trinkets, or consumable buffs, you can still achieve good earnings, making it especially suitable for new or returning players.
Of course, hourly earnings will naturally decrease over time, but you can compensate by investing in better tools, enchanting professions, and buffs. Skinning earnings are closely related to optimization levels, thus remaining profitable throughout the game.
As long as you and your team coordinate well, this farming spot can yield considerable profits. Whether you're an experienced veteran or a newbie seeking stable income, this method is worth considering.
That concludes this guide to WoW Midnight Gold Farming. Feel free to try it out in the game!
