The official release of WoW TBC Classic Anniversary is on February 5th, 2026. Time is running out, have you successfully reached level 60 yet?
Once Dark Portal officially opens, your character level cap will increase to 70, and it's time to continue your leveling journey. Whether you're a new player or a returning veteran, managing your time and effort wisely is key to making the most of Outland.

Below, I will introduce an efficient leveling route focused on dungeons to help you level up quickly after Outland opens, while also gaining reputation that is crucial for later game progression.
Preparation
Before officially entering TBC Classic Anniversary content, please ensure your character is prepared for the upcoming leveling journey as follows:
Set up your Hearthstone
The first step upon entering Outland is always to set your Hearthstone to Honor Hold (for Alliance) or Thrallmar (for Horde). This will save you a significant amount of time traveling between quests and dungeons.
Pre-Patch Quests
Many players have already completed the pre-patch quests, allowing them to gain experience and reputation much faster in the early stages of The Burning Crusade.
If you haven't completed the pre-patch quests yet, hurry up, or your leveling speed will be slower than others.
World Buffs
Many players already have level 14 PvP gear or anniversary event buffs before entering the full game.
These world buffs can significantly increase your leveling speed, especially when running dungeons, so be sure to plan your dungeon runs accordingly.
Leveling route
To maximize your leveling efficiency from 60 to 70, you only need to focus on running dungeons and completing specific quests that provide large experience rewards. After all, the areas for open-world quests will be very crowded and competitive.
Levels 60-61
- Zone: Hellfire Peninsula
- Dungeon: Blood Furnace
Once you enter Hellfire Peninsula area, immediately set up your Hearthstone. From here, you will begin your leveling journey.
Choose to run Blood Furnace dungeon, as it's one of the most efficient dungeons for early leveling. A complete run provides approximately 45,000 experience points and 750 reputation points.
You'll need to run Blood Furnace about 12 times to reach level 61 and achieve Honored status in Honor Hold or Thrallmar.
If you can join a strong group with world buffs, you can complete the dungeon even faster, possibly within 12 minutes.
However, be aware of the hourly limit of 5 dungeons. Try to minimize wait times between dungeons and use that time for quests or other activities.
Levels 61-63
- Zone: Zangarmarsh
- Dungeon: Slave Pens
Once you reach level 61, head to Zangarmarsh. Here, focus on Slave Pens dungeon; it will take approximately 10-12 runs to reach Honored status.
This will not only help you reach level 63 faster, but also earn valuable reputation points for future Heroic difficulty dungeons.
During this time, you can also complete various quests in Zangarmarsh, which offer generous rewards and help you grind in dungeons.
Don't forget to complete quests related to Aldor or Scryer factions; this will prepare you for the next phase of reputation gains.
Levels 63-66
- Zone: Terokkar Forest
- Dungeon: Mana-Tombs
Next, you'll need to head to Terokkar Forest, primarily farming Mana-Tombs. Here, you can gain reputation and gear, as well as substantial quest experience and rewards while leveling. Completing this dungeon nine times should get you to level 66.
Alternatively, you can consider other dungeons in Terokkar Forest; they are all good options for efficient leveling and reputation farming.
Levels 66-68
- Zone: Terokkar Forest
- Dungeon: Sethekk Halls
Still in Terokkar Forest, but you'll need to switch dungeons. You'll need to farm experience in Sethekk Halls. As one of Auchindoun's four dungeons, you'll likely need to complete it about 9 times to reach level 68.
Meanwhile, you can also reach Honored status in Auchindoun faction. Oh, and don't forget to loot Shadow Labyrinth Key from The Talon King's Coffer from the final boss.
Levels 68-69
- Zone: Black Morass
You'll need to travel through Caverns of Time to Black Morass, one of the most crucial dungeons in The Burning Crusade leveling route, as it increases your Revered reputation in Keepers of Time.
Keepers of Time is an important faction for unlocking Heroic difficulty dungeons. To maximize your experience gain, be sure to complete Old Hillsbrad Foothills questline in Caverns of Time before entering the dungeon.
Levels 69-70
- Dungeon: Karazhan
At this point, you need to go to Deadwind Pass and speak with Archmage Alturus to start this questline.
Then, complete various quests as instructed to obtain key fragments. The final reward is The Master's Key, the key item that grants you permanent access to Karazhan. Here are the three sources of key fragment drops:
- Shadow Labyrinth (after defeating Murmur)
- Steamvault (before the first boss)
- Arcatraz (room after the first boss)
Completing this questline will allow you to reach level 70 and gain sufficient reputation.
Alternative Option
If you encountered some deviations in your leveling path and are still short of level 70 after completing the above quests, or if you want to continue gaining reputation.
Then you can go to Steamvault in Zangarmarsh. After running the dungeon approximately 7 times, your level will definitely reach 70 and you will gain Revered reputation with your corresponding faction.
Once you successfully complete the above upgrade path and reach level 70, you will officially be ahead of other players and have considerable reputation in several important factions. After that, you can start participating in raids, PvP, or challenging heroic dungeons.
