But that's not the case with random groups. The raid leader often faces only two unfamiliar players: an Arcane Mage and a fire mage. Since there isn't enough information to determine who performs better, class and specialization become the cheapest risk screening tools.

From the raid leader's perspective, this is even rational. Because the cost of failing in a random group is very high. If just a few people out of 25 strangers underperform, a night that should have ended smoothly can turn into a series of wipes.

Therefore, the real problem becomes a typical system incentive: subscriptions make time seem expensive, fully solved content makes efficiency replace exploration as the new measure of progress, and the rigid raid costs and high group failure costs of TBC Anniversary make raid leaders increasingly inclined to eliminate all non-optimal options in advance.

With these three factors combined, players will ask less and less whether someone can do the raid, and more and more why they should take the risk of someone not being the optimal solution.

When everyone starts measuring the game by efficiency, class selection and grouping space naturally become narrower and narrower: everyone must pursue faster, more stable, and better performance, ultimately squeezing out the space that TBC Anniversary originally allowed players to play together in different ways.

With the release of WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 on August 27th, gear selection for Fury Warriors will be more flexible than in previous phases. Especially with armor penetration playing an increasingly important role in overall gear setups, Fury Warrior BIS gear will also change significantly.

Of course, TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 BIS gear won't be easy for everyone to obtain. If there are many Rogues, Warriors, or Shamans competing for the same gear in guild, the difficulty of acquiring it will naturally increase significantly. Actual gear builds need to be adjusted based on your own situation and existing gear.

Shoulders and Cloak

Onslaught Shoulderblades are largely undisputed; they are the best shoulders in WoW BCC Anniversary Phase 3, providing ample Strength and Stamina. Equip them immediately upon acquisition.

Cloak of Darkness is a very practical choice. While Shadowmoon Destroyer's Drape offers a greater DPS boost, Cloak of Darkness itself is sufficient for Phase 3 raids and provides additional Stamina, making other gear less necessary.

Chest and Bracers

For the chest armor, Onslaught Breastplate remains the safest option. Some might consider Midnight Chestguard, but the simulated DPS of both is very close, differing by only a few DPS, while Leather Chestguard results in a significant armor loss. In actual TBC Classic raids, sacrificing substantial survivability for a minimal DPS increase is not worthwhile.

Bracers of Eradication are also recommended. While alternatives like Crafted Haste and Deadly Cuffs exist, their improvements aren't significant enough to warrant prioritizing resources. Phase 3 offers many truly valuable items to acquire; it's better to prioritize more important gear than to waste WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Gold here for a few extra DPS.

Weapons

Regarding weapons, Dragon Strike paired with Vengeful Gladiator's Pummeler offers a good balance of burst damage and consistent output. The performance of dual Vengeful Gladiator's Pummeler in BCC Anniversary was quite similar.

Dragon Strike's advantage lies in its ability to unleash powerful burst damage when its procs overlap with Dragonspine Trophy within a suitable timeframe, combined with Recklessness, Death Wish, and raid-provided Bloodlust or Heroism. However, this high potential also means greater reliance on timing.

Therefore, the actual DPS difference between different combinations may vary depending on the combat environment and procedural conditions in TBC Classic. Additionally, dual-wielding Warriors need to consider the impact of desync on off-hand attack rhythm.

If there's a noticeable delay or asynchrony in off-hand attacks, it can lead to some lost effective attacks, thus reducing overall DPS. Therefore, if you prioritize consistent output and don't want to rely too much on proc and attack rhythm, Vengeful Gladiator Pummeler would be a more stable choice.

Necklace and Gloves

For necklaces, Choker of Serrated Blades is a highly recommended choice for BCC Anniversary Phase 3. Compared to Choker of Endless Nightmares, it sacrifices some Crit Rating but provides higher-value ARP.

As the overall ARP level of TBC Phase 3 gear increases, Fury Warrior gear builds will increasingly emphasize ARP, while the relative marginal benefit of Crit may decrease. Furthermore, Fury Warriors will use Heroic Strike more frequently, affecting the benefits of extra hits. Therefore, gear that provides ARP will be more attractive.

Another advantage of Choker of Serrated Blades is its wider acquisition range. It doesn't rely solely on a single boss's fixed drop. If you're actively farming Sunwell Plateau trash, you have a chance to obtain this necklace while gaining other benefits.

Grips of Silent Justice are very strong physical DPS gloves from TBC Classic Anniversary. They provide 175 armor penetration and have two sockets. For players aiming for high DPS in the late-game of Fury Warrior Phase 3, this gear is usually a priority.

If you choose to use Off-piece Helmet, you'll often consider pairing it with Off-piece Gloves, using the high stats of individual pieces to replace some Tier 1 set pieces. This gearing style, maximizing individual piece stats while sacrificing some set bonuses, is what we commonly call a clown suit.

Belts and Boots

Regarding belts, Belt of One-Hundred Deaths remains a crucial piece of equipment. Its stats are incredibly impressive: 350 ARP, 35 Crit, and 51 Strength all concentrated in one piece of gear, a significant boost for both Fury Warriors and Arms Warriors.

350 ARP is particularly remarkable for leg armor. Few items in BCC Anniversary offer such high ARP directly, so if you can obtain it, you should try to get it as soon as possible. If not, you can use Red Belt of Battle as a temporary substitute.

Dreadboots are a direct upgrade to the existing Boots of Obliteration. While some stat changes aren't drastic, the additional Socket and Hit stats make it significantly stronger overall. It's a relatively straightforward upgrade, but there's no need to compete frantically for a mere ten-odd DPS increase.

Rings

The situation with rings is slightly more complex. The differences between Stormrage Signet Ring, Band of the Ranger General, Unstoppable Aggressors, and Band of the Eternal Champion are actually very close.

In many cases, the difference between BIS and non-BIS ring configurations is only a small amount of DPS. The value of Stormrage Signet Ring mainly comes from its 126 ARP. In TBC Phase 3, getting closer to ARP cap is very important, making it a very strong ring.

However, if Rogue in guild also needs Stormrage Signet Ring, then prioritizing it for Rogue isn't a bad thing, as 30 hits are equally important for Rogue. The ring isn't a piece that needs to be replaced immediately; if you've already gotten Ranger General in Phase 2, you can continue using it in Phase 3.

Trinket

Trinket is mainly chosen from Madness of the Betrayer, Dragonspine Trophy, and Badge of the Swarmguard. The bosses in TBC Anniversary Phase 3 can be broadly divided into two categories: Paladin bosses with approximately 6,200 Armor and Warrior bosses with 7,700 Armor.

When facing a 6,200 Armor boss, if you already have high ARP, Madness of the Betrayer will gradually surpass Badge of the Swarmguard. This is especially true after you have acquired a significant amount of other ARP gear; Madness's value will increase accordingly.

However, in the early stages of TBC Phase 3, if your gear isn't fully developed, Badge remains very strong because it helps you reach Armor Penetration Cap faster. As your gear improves, you can gradually replace Badge with Madness.

For 7,700 armor bosses, the situation largely depends on the fight duration. Approximately 90 seconds can serve as a simple dividing line. If the boss dies within 90 seconds, Badge of the Swarmguard is more suitable.

If the fight lasts longer than 90 seconds, Madness of the Betrayer is better. Therefore, ideally, you should prepare these three Trinket pieces and switch them depending on boss armor and fight duration.

Fury Warrior gear setup for WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 ultimately depends on your guild, comp, and actual loot drops. Build a sufficiently high ARP as quickly as possible. This will allow for significant adjustments to Fury Warrior gear once you enter Black Temple and Mount Hyjal, enabling it to play a much more effective role.
