MLB The Show 25 Diamond Dynasty Cards Rank: Which Cards Performed Best In April?

Since MLB The Show 25 was launched in March, a lot of cards have been released, and the ranking of cards when the game was first released has changed. The first place in some positions has been replaced by new cards.

Apr 22, 2025 Author: EZG

MLB 25 has released a lot of cards since its release. Many of the new cards are powerful and surpass the cards that were released when the game was first released. So let’s take a look at which cards performed best in April.

Infielders

MLB The Show 25 Diamond Dynasty Cards Rank: Which Cards Performed Best In April?

Catchers

  1. Contributor Mike Napoli (88 OVR)
  2. Awards Ted Simmons (90 OVR)
  3. Pipeline Samuel Basallo (87 OVR)
  4. Negro Leagues Josh Gibson (90 OVR)
  5. Breakout Jason Varitek (87 OVR)

Contributor Mike Napoli and Awards Ted Simmons are two collector cards and the best catchers in the game at present. Both cards have 7 Quirks.

Although Mike Napoli’s total score is only 88 points, his Power and Contact attributes are amazing, while Ted Simmons is a little lacking in power.

Negro Leagues Josh Gibson has a 90 OVR, but this card has no Quirks, so it can only be ranked fourth.

First Baseman

  1. Hall of Fame Gil Hodges (99 OVR)
  2. Last Ride David Ortiz (88 OVR)
  3. Cornerstone Tony Clark (87 OVR)
  4. Spotlight Tyler Soderstrom (88 OVR)
  5. All-Star Anthony Rizzo (88 OVR)

Gil Hodges, with an OVR of 99, is a reward from NL Live Series and cannot be traded on the free market through MLB The Show 25 Stubs. This card has almost all 99 attributes and has 7 Quirks. It will be difficult for other cards to surpass this card for quite some time.

Second Baseman

  1. Prime Jason Kipnis (92 OVR)
  2. Live Series Ketel Marte (88 OVR)
  3. Spotlight Tommy Edman (88 OVR)
  4. Pipeline Travis Bazzana (87 OVR)
  5. Pipeline Kristian Campbell (87 OVR)

At 92, Jason Kipnis is a bonus for AL Central Collection. He handles pitches from the right side perfectly and has 6 Quirks, which makes this card hard to beat.

Ketel Marte handles pitches from the left side perfectly and has an amazing 11 Quirks! Unlike Jason Kipnis, he can be traded in the free market and is currently valued at around 110,000 stubs.

Third Baseman

  1. All-Star Rafael Devers (90 OVR)
  2. 2nd Half Chase Headley (93 OVR)
  3. Live Series Jose Ramirez (89 OVR)
  4. New Thread Alex Bregman (88 OVR)
  5. Spotlight Jordan Westburg (88 OVR)

All-Star Rafael Devers is from Chase Pack 3 and was added to the game on March 28. He can hit as a left-hander. And he is not the only left-hander. Chase Headley is also powerful, but his contact attributes on the left side are a bit lacking.

Shortstop

  1. Live Series Bobby Witt Jr. (90 OVR)
  2. Live Series Francisco Lindor (88 OVR)
  3. 2nd Half Heroes Ozzie Smith (89 OVR)
  4. 2nd Half Heroes Jimmy Rollins (88 OVR)
  5. Spring Breakout Leodalis De Vries (87 OVR)

Bobby Witt Jr. is an all-around player who has great batting, defense, baserunning and stealing. Francisco Lindor is slightly inferior because of his 59 speed.

Outfielders

Left Fielders

  1. New Threads Anthony Santander (89 OVR)
  2. 2nd Half Heroes Raul Ibanez (89 OVR)
  3. Postseason Manny Ramirez (88 OVR)
  4. Standout Don Baylor (91 OVR)
  5. Contributor Ryan Braun (85 OVR)

The way to get New Threads Anthony Santander is to complete New Threads Collection. He is a switch-hitter and his Power attribute is over 99 for both his left and right hands!

Center Fielders

  1. Signature Carlos Beltran (99 OVR)
  2. All-Star Ken Griffey Jr. (90 OVR)
  3. All-Star Bryan Reynolds (90 OVR)
  4. All-Star Mickey Mantle (88 OVR)
  5. New Threads Cody Bellinger (88 OVR)

Another 99 OVR card. You need to complete All Live Collection to get this Signature Carlos Beltran. Even though he has two relatively low statistics, it is hard to say that this is a flaw. From the perspective of various statistics, it is almost a perfect card.

Right Fielder

  1. Live Series Mike Trout (88 OVR)
  2. Live Series Juan Soto (89 OVR)
  3. Standout Paul O’Neill (90 OVR)
  4. Live Series Ronald Acuna Jr. (87 OVR)
  5. All-Star Jose Bautista (88 OVR)

Although his overall rating is a little lower than Juan Soto, Mike Trout is currently the best outfielder. Juan Soto is inferior in speed and fielding.

Pitchers

Starting Pitchers

  1. Awards Roger Clemens (99 OVR)
  2. 2nd Half Heroes Randy Johnson (91 OVR)
  3. Live Series Shohei Ohtani (91 OVR)
  4. All-Star Corey Kluber (89 OVR)
  5. Rookie Fernando Valenzuela (92 OVR)
  6. Pipeline Noah Schultz (87 OVR)
  7. Live Series Chris Sale (87 OVR)
  8. Standout Bob Gibson (90 OVR)
  9. New Threads Corbin Burnes (88 OVR)
  10. Topps Now Garrett Crochet (87 OVR)

Roger Clemens 99 OVR card may stay at the top for a long time, but when you see that most of his stats are 99, you will understand that this card is currently the most dominant pitcher in MLB 25.

Although it is difficult to get Awards Roger Clemens, you can choose Randy Johnson, whose attributes are also top-notch and are currently worth around 170,000 stubs.

Relief Pitchers

  1. Egg Hunt Lucas Erceg (89 OVR)
  2. Standout Darren O’Day (91 OVR)
  3. New Threads Aroldis Chapman (88 OVR)
  4. Jolt Andrew Miller (85 OVR)
  5. All-Star Rob Dibble (87 OVR)
  6. Contributor Billy Wagner (85 OVR)
  7. New Threads Tanner Scott (86 OVR)
  8. All-Star Rich Gossage (87 OVR)
  9. Live Series Mason Miller (86 OVR)
  10. Live Series Felix Bautista (83 OVR)

Egg Hunt Lucas Erceg is a card added to the game on April 18 and can be obtained through Egg Hunt Diamond Quest. Lucas Erceg’s attributes are all top-tier, and the only limitation is that he only has 25 Stamina, but Stamina is not that important for a relief pitcher.

These are the best cards for each position in April. As more classic players return, this list may change soon.

Like other programs, you also need to earn stars to unlock rewards in April Spotlight Drop 4 Program.

Rewards

The rewards in April Spotlight Drop 4 Program do not include stubs, but there are quite a few card packs that can provide you with some players.

  1. 5 stars: MLB The Show pack
  2. 10 stars: Topps Now Javier Sanoja (86 OVR)
  3. 15 stars: MLB The Show pack
  4. 20 stars: Topps Now Chandler Simpson (86 OVR)
  5. 25 stars: MLB The Show pack

  7. 35 stars: MLB The Show pack
  8. 40 stars: 5,000 XP
  9. 45 stars: April Spotlight Drop 4 pack
  10. 50 stars: April Spotlight Rhys Hoskins (89 OVR)

Topps Now Javier Sanoja

Javier Sanoja is a left fielder for Marlins. He can play as a hitter, but his swing power is not very high. Javier Sanoja will not enter the major leagues until September 2024, serving as an infielder and outfielder for Marlins. Although he is mediocre as a hitter, his speed and fielding are quite good.

Overall, Javier Sanoja has average stats and no Quirks. He currently ranks 64th among left fielders and 40th among second basemen.

Topps Now Chandler Simpson

Chandler Simpson is a center fielder for Rays who will make his major league debut on April 18, 2025. Chandler Simpson can also play as a hitter, but his left and right power attributes are too low.

But Chandler Simpson is still a very valuable card. He has a fast reaction time and is extremely good at stealing bases. If your team needs to rely on stealing bases to make up the difference, then Chandler Simpson will definitely surprise you.

April Spotlight Rhys Hoskins

Rhys Hoskins is the first baseman of Brewers. He is 32 years old this year and is a veteran in the field. From the data on the card, Rhys Hoskins has high contact data for both left and right, and his power from the left is particularly high, so he is very good at dealing with pitches from the left.

Rhys Hoskins’ data on speed and defense are very bad, and he only has one Quirk. These reasons lead to his low ceiling. As a first baseman, he is currently ranked 29th among first basemen.

How To Complete April Spotlight Drop 4 Program?

Moments

  • Battery of Firsts: Pitch 1 inning with Paul Skenes without giving up a run
  • Another Multi-HR Game: Hit 1 home run with Tyler Soderstrom

You can find all the players you need in the free agency market, with the highest value of 40,000 MLB The Show 25 Stubs and the lowest value of no more than 10 stubs. You can easily get these players, so it is not difficult to complete these moments.

April Spotlight 4 Drop 4 Pack Players

April Spotlight 4 Drop 4 pack adds five new cards to the game on April 25th.

  • Spotlight Cal Raleigh (89 OVR): is the current 5th ranked catcher with 3 Quirks, about 46,000 stubs
  • Spotlight Tyler Mahle (89 OVR): is the current 17th ranked starting pitcher, no Quirk, about 17,000 stubs
  • Topps Now Caleb Durbin (86 OVR): is the current 44th ranked third baseman, no Quirk, about 7,400 stubs
  • Topps Now Jonathan Aranda (86 OVR): is the current 49th ranked first baseman, with 2 Quirks, about 7,300 stubs
  • Topps Now Logan Henderson (86 OVR): is the current 69th ranked starting pitcher, no Quirk, about 7,100 stubs

April Spotlight 4 Drop 4 pack is all diamond cards, but only Cal Raleigh and Tyler Mahle are really useful. When Tyler Mahle was first released, his value was about 40,000 stubs, but since there is no Quirk, his value is decreasing.

If you are a player who intends to collect these cards, you can wait for a week, which should save you a lot of stubs.

The above are all the cards included in April Spotlight Drop 4 Program. Their strength is not too high, and the task difficulty is not very high, and if you have time, you can try to complete this program.

Last Epoch Season 2 Soul Or Gold Gambler: Which One Should You Choose?

Whether in Diablo 4 or POE 2, the gambling element of APRG games has always been throughout. From the items dropped by monsters to the affixes of changing equipment with props, this is a kind of gambling.

There is also a more direct way to gamble in the game, and that is to find merchants to gamble. Both Last Epoch and Diablo 4 have merchants dedicated to gambling. They will not provide you with any specific goods, and every time you gamble, you may get junk items or very rare unique items.

Last Epoch Gambler

There are two types of gamblers in Last Epoch, divided into Gold Gambler and Soul Gambler according to the currency they require. They appear in different places and provide different equipment. Each gambler has his own advantage area.

Gold Gambler

The gambler most well-known to players in Last Epoch is Artem the Gambler. When players come to the first hub town, they can see him in The Council Chambers. And you can also find him in various towns afterwards.

Here are the features of Gold Gambler:

  • Use Last Epoch Gold as the currency for gambling.
  • Gold Gambler can be accessed throughout the game.
  • It can help you in the early stages of the game.
  • Offers regular items, but no sets or unique items.
  • The gambler's inventory is not infinite, and you need to be refreshed with 500 gold each time to obtain additional inventory.
  • This gambling method does not include any set or unique item rewards.
  • It is completely based on luck, and the probability of appearing high-level items is not high.
  • You can only get items up to level 40 in Gold Gambler.

Gold Gambler is a gambling location that players can access early, which is its advantage. If you are lucky enough, you can have some powerful equipment in the early stage of the game, but most of the time it will just swallow your gold and spit out garbage.

The inventory of Gold Gambler is divided into three categories: weapons, armor, and accessories, and you cannot see the affixes of each item. Only after you have got them, then you could see the level and affixes of each item.

Here are tips for using Gold Gambler:

  • Items worth 500 gold or less are more likely to give you a profit.
  • Use Gold Gambler to replenish items you need or are hard to find elsewhere, such as rings or amulets.
  • Break unneeded items to get crafting materials, or take them to merchants for gold.
  • Don’t go to Gold Gambler for gambling after level 40, and his goods have lost value to you.

Soul Gambler

Soul Gambler is not encountered until the endgame. After you defeat Fire Lich Cremorus, you can find Soul Gambler. Unlike Artem the Gambler, Soul Gambler offers you more valuable items. Not only do you have a chance to get unique items, you may even get set items.

Here are the features of Soul Gambler

  • Use Soul Ember as a gambling currency.
  • Located in Soulfire Bastion as part of the game’s endgame content.
  • Provides a chance to get unique and set items.
  • After you have emptied Soul Gambler’s inventory, you cannot refresh it automatically, and you need to refresh Soulfire Bastion.

Soulfire Bastion

Soulfire Bastion is a Fire, Necrotic-themed dungeon where players need to collect Souls. The feature of Soulfire Bastion is that it allows players to switch between two damage immunity states, and players need to carefully identify the damage type of monsters in this dungeon and fight with the boss. Finally, use the collected Soul Ember to trade with the gambler.

Soul Gambler and Soul only drop in Soulfire Bastion dungeon, which requires a Soulfire Bastion Key to enter. If you die at any time in Soulfire Bastion, you will be teleported out of the dungeon and lose all progress. However, if you have an extra Soulfire Bastion Key, you can continue trying without losing your current progress, which is equivalent to having a chance to revive on the spot. Each key in your inventory gives you one chance to revive.

Soulfire Bastion Keys can be dropped from Timeline Bosses, Arena of Champions, or any monster. Timeline Bosses are recommended here, as Arena of Champions has a low chance of dropping a Soulfire Bastion Key.

Soul Gambler’s Items

Soul Gambler has a bunch of items, and their quantity, type, and value change every time you explore Soulfire Bastion. All of his items are available once you have collected enough currency within the dungeon.

While Soul Gambler’s inventory is mostly random, the items he carries and the gambling results themselves can be modified by setting the about dungeon modifier.

There are also some unique items in Soul Gambler’s inventory that can only be got through Soul Gambler’s rewards:

  • Burning Avarice - Unique Gloves
  • Ashes of Orchirian - Unique Relic
  • Soul Gambler’s Fallacy - Unique Amulet

The above are the two gambling methods of Last Epoch. They can provide you with temporary help when you are most scarce to upgrade your equipment. However, the weapons, armor and accessories obtained through gambling have a very low Forging Potential, so this game encourages players to make their own equipment.

Last Epoch Season 2 Runes Overview: What Are Their Usages?

Last Epoch Season 2 has been an enormous success, and it’s a wise decision to avoid the release of POE 2 Dawn of the Hunt, but it’s also because of its own excellent quality. Last Epoch is simpler than POE 2, but more complex than Diablo 4, and this balance has allowed it to accumulate a group of loyal fans.

Last Epoch Season 2 has made a big change to the endgame, adding new factions, which also added new runes to the game, and players need to understand their uses to avoid wasting runes.

What Are Runes?

Runes are an important part of crafting items in Last Epoch. They can reduce or add affixes to items, or even completely transform one item into another.

Different Runes have different effects, but if you’ve played Path of Exile, you’ll find that Runes and POE 2 currency have very similar effects.

How To Get Runes?

Runes are consumables like Last Epoch Gold, and once you use them, they disappear. Runes will drop in various situations, but the drop rate is very low. You can try to farm runes in the following ways.

  • Bosses
  • Chests/Caches
  • Elites
  • Champions
  • Loot Lizards
  • Nemeses

In addition to the above methods, you can also encounter runes in some shops, such as Rune of Shattering. Rune of Shattering is one of the necessary props for dismantling items, and it is also very precious. You have to prepare hundreds of thousands of gold in advance to exchange it with merchants.

Basically, every shop owner has Rune of Shattering. If you have enough gold, you can look for a few more shops. However, it takes time to replenish Rune of Shattering, so you should not look for a merchant repeatedly.

In addition, you can also join Circle of Fortune faction and complete tasks to get runes, or use Monolith of Fates system to increase the drop rate of runes.

Last Epoch Runes

1. Rune Of Shattering

  • Random Drop: Common
  • Requires Level: 1

Give a random number of Affix Fragments based on the item’s properties and destroy the item. This rune can recycle item affixes. Rune of Shattering has no Forging Potential requirement.

2. Rune Of Removal

  • Random Drop - Common
  • Requires Level: 15

Remove a random affix from an item and you gain an equal number of Affix Fragments.

3. Rune Of Refinement

  • Random Drop - Common
  • Requires Level: 10

Reroll all affixes on your items, and note that the range of affixes is determined by the item’s level.

4. Rune Of Discovery

  • Random Drop - Extremely rare
  • Requires Level: 15

Adds a random first-level affix to all empty affix slots and increases the chance of extracting a rare affix. Using Rune of Discovery does not consume Forging Potential, but is used on items without Forging Potential.

5. Rune Of Shaping

  • Random Drop - Very rare
  • Requires Level: 55

Reroll the implicit affixes for this item.

6. Rune Of Ascendance

  • Random Drop - Extremely rare
  • Requires Level: 10

Transform an item into a unique or set item of the same type. This rune cannot transform an item into a unique or set item, such as one that is only dropped by a boss. Somewhat similar to Orb of Chance in POE 2.

7. Rune Of Creation

  • Random Drop - Extremely rare
  • Requires Level: 50

Make another copy of an item, with Forging Potential of both the original and the copy reset to zero and cannot be modified further.

8. Rune Of Havoc

  • Requires Level: 90
  • Random Drop - Extremely rare

Rescales the level of unsealed affixes on Exalted items that have at least four affixes, and this does not increase or decrease the level of the affix.

9. Rune Of Redemption

  • Random Drop - Common
  • Requires Level: 10

Changes an Exalted affix on an item to a random affix. Rune of Redemption does not affect the level of the affix.

10. Rune Of Research

  • Get Exiled Mages at
  • Requires Level: 30

Seal an Experimental Affix on an item, and the original slot will be vacant so you can add new affixes, but the sealed affix cannot be modified further. When Experimental Affix is sealed, there is a chance to get a Glyph of Insight.

11. Rune Of Weaving

  • Requires Level: 1

Use the remaining Weaver’s Will or Weaver’s Touch on the item to upgrade the item’s affixes.

How To Use Last Epoch Runes?

You can place Runes in the auxiliary item slot of the crafting panel to use them. You can’t use runes on items as you please. First, Last Epoch Runes have requirements for items, and they can’t be used on items that don’t meet the conditions.

The equipment itself comes with 18~55 Forging Potential. Every time you modify it, it will consume Forging Potential. Once the Forging Potential of an item reaches zero, it can no longer be forged by any other item.

Like the currency in Path of Exile, Last Epoch Runes have random effects on items. They may not necessarily improve your items, but may also destroy them. Therefore, you must be mentally prepared before using runes.

Last Epoch Runes are an important part of crafting items, but because their effects are random and very precious, it is recommended that you use them together with Glyphs to maximize their effectiveness.

Last Epoch Season 2 Monolith Blessings: What Effects Do They Have?

Last Epoch season 2 improves and enhances the endgame content, giving players more ways to get items. Last Epoch Season 2 (7 Changes To Keep Players Returning): Why Can It Cause A New Craze?

When Last Epoch announced that it would launch Season 2 on April 17, 2025, the game once again ignited a wave of players returning. Although there are some regrets when it was first released, the developer has brought a better experience to players with a continuous optimization attitude and sincere updates. I will explain from the following seven highlights why this season is worth returning to experience for all ARPG enthusiasts.

1. Sentinel Class Rework

As the iconic class of Last Epoch, Sentinel will usher in a deep rework in season 2. The changes to the core skill Volatile Reversal are particularly eye-catching. This must-have option that once existed in every builds has finally been weakened and becomes less like a must-have.

In order to reduce the necessity of this skill and to maintain the balance in the game, Sentinel has also made a series of changes as a matter of course. Some skills greatly increase the probability of enemies electrifying. This change will affect the gameplay of Sentinel, and players can make the battle more interesting through richer builds.

This change makes it possible for Sentinel to become the strongest class in Season 2. Players who are interested in this are already using Last Epoch Gold to improve his combat power. I believe that this Sentinel will have a more outstanding performance in this season.

2. Immersion Upgrade

In terms of visual style, Last Epoch Season 2 continues the unique art style of the season 1 while also developing multi-dimensional evolution in audio-visual presentation. The game is eye-catching at the beginning, and the new sounds and visual effects give players a different feeling. Skills such as Hemorrhage, Marrow Shard, and Hungering Souls have new sound effects, combined with other VFX updates, every time you use a skill, you will give players a cool feeling.

In addition, enemies, NPCs, and other environments will be updated, all of which will attract players to return to experience the game.

3. Inventory Improvement

The introduction of Auto Sort in Season 2 is a revolutionary breakthrough in in-game item management. Similar to Diablo 4’s tagging system but better, players can now use this feature to automatically sort some special items into new inventory tabs, Dungeon Keys are automatically grouped together, Crafting Materials also have their own independent space, and new endgame items such as Weaver’s Echo have specific stash tabs and can be stored infinitely.

Transferring Materials have also been improved, now renamed Transfer, which can instantly organize scattered resources such as Keys, and Resonances. This will bring more convenience to players and make resource accumulation easier and more intuitive.

4. Crafting Innovation

The reconstruction of Eternity Cache mechanism is the most eye-catching update this season. In Temporal Sanctum above Tier 2, players can now ensure that a specific affix is crafted to your Uniques. The rest will be completed through the typical system, which can ensure that you can get the desired T7 Exalted affix while retaining the original randomness and excitement.

What is even more surprising is the newly added Critical Success, which allows players to seal two affixes. This design not only retains the pleasure of traditional ARPG but also greatly reduces the difficulty of player operation. At the same time, it can also help you create a build that suits you, so that you can show your skills in battle!

5. Respeccing Masteries

In terms of character development, the most groundbreaking change is Respeccing Masteries. Although the basic class is still locked, players can now reselect other Masteries by asking Chronomancer Lerinne.

This is indeed an unexpected surprise. Players can now choose a Mastery that can be quickly upgraded in the novice stage, and then transform in the later stage of the game, provided that you have enough Gold.

But don’t be too happy too soon, its price will increase as the player’s level increases. When the player is at level 10, the initial cost is only 100gold, but it will gradually increase later. At level 100, it will even cost 1M gold to respec. This gives new players room to try while avoiding the imbalance of the game caused by the transformation of old players.

6. Endgame Content Expansion

In response to criticism that the endgame content of the first season was thin, season 2 responded with the Tombs of the Erased update. Not only did it bring new areas, but it also brought new gameplay, making it a highlight that attracted players.

After entering the tombs, players can defeat Woven enemies and obtain special currency, Memory Amber, which can be used in The Woven Faction. There will be greater treasures hidden in the deepest part, but there will also be greater dangers waiting for you.

Meanwhile, the 36 new Weaver’s Echo map props will take the challenge and strategy to a new level. After completing another map, Cemeteries Of The Erased, you can use them to obtain special rewards.

7. Maintaining Game Balance

Recently, Path of Exile 2 has faced a lot of negative reviews from players because of Dawn of the Hunt update because the game difficulty was adjusted too high. Although the subsequent developers have launched many pitches to make up for it, the effect is not obvious at present.

Because of this, many players are skeptical about Last Epoch Season 2, fearing that they will make the same mistake. No one wants to see their favorite build weakened. However, although Season 2 also made some balance changes, its purpose is not to adjust the difficulty of the game, but to provide players with more possibilities. After all, giving players more room to create more builds is also a way to create fun in the game.
