Path of Exile 2 The Arbiter of Ash Guide (Patch 0.5.3): Best Strategy, Mechanics & Survival Tips

Since the launch of Path of Exile 2 0.5.5, players exploring Forbidden Rites Event have been reporting an increasing number of bugs. Some of these issues only appear under specific skill, gear, or map conditions, so they can be difficult to notice during normal gameplay.

However, once triggered, they can affect the normal flow of PoE 2. As more players dive into Patch 0.5.5, these hard-to-find problems are gradually being discovered.

Here are several bugs and issues you may currently run into in PoE 2, including some areas that may need further attention from the official team.

Righteous Descent

Righteous Descent is a skill obtained through Ordained Grand Spear. When used, the character jumps into the air and releases a large AoE. Since Righteous Descent has Travel tag, it can be linked with Travel-related Supports in Path of Exile 2, as well as other Support Skills such as Cooldown Support.

However, although the skill clearly functions like a Leap and its description explicitly says that the character will leap into the air carried by divine wings, none of the supports designed for Leap currently work with Righteous Descent.

Supports such as Shocking Leap, Crater, and Holy Descent cannot be linked to Righteous Descent. This is something PoE 2 could potentially address by making the skill's description and tags better match its actual interactions.

Black Powder Blitz and Disengage

Path of Exile 2 also has a similar skill interaction issue with Shankgonne Covered Sabatons. Once equipped, the item replaces the character's Dodge Roll with Black Powder Blitz, which makes the character leap forward and has its own cooldown.

The problem appears when Disengage is equipped at the same time. After using Black Powder Blitz, Disengage immediately enters cooldown. Conversely, using Disengage also puts Black Powder Blitz on cooldown.

The practical impact is relatively small, since not many players may use both skills together. However, this kind of unexpected cooldown interaction between different travel skills is still worth checking.

Boss Encounters

There is also a persistent issue in Temple in Path of Exile 2. When boss mini encounter features Telzaro, High Priest, he can burrow underground and fail to reappear. You can still attack him and even see damage feedback, but Telzaro never comes back above ground.

This issue did not begin with Patch 0.5.5. Players have reported encountering it in earlier patches as well, and it can prevent the entire boss encounter from progressing normally, meaning you cannot obtain PoE 2 currency and other rewards you should receive.

Temple also has an even stranger boss bug. After entering an Elite Legion room, Scorpion boss can immediately die the moment you enter the room. This clearly does not appear to be the intended behavior for a Path of Exile 2 boss encounter.

Another issue can occur when an Abyssal Pit spawns near a PoE 2 boss room. Some Abyssal monsters can become stuck underground or fail to spawn properly, preventing you from completing Abyss Encounters.

Because the enemies in the area do not appear correctly, Abyss objective cannot be completed and Abyssal Depths cannot spawn. There have been more reports of this happening around boss rooms in Wetlands and Savannah in Rite of the Nameless, with Fortress also experiencing similar issues.

King of the Mist

Crux of Nothingness currently has a fairly noticeable issue in PoE 2. Some players have reported that the black mist covers the entire area from the moment they enter, making wisps extremely difficult to see. In some cases, players have to leave and re-enter the instance, or even die once, before wisps become visible again.

This issue appears to occur more often on Cleansed maps. Besides the visual problem, Wisps can sometimes lead characters into dead ends. The black mist then catches up quickly, while large numbers of monsters and visual effects can further obscure the wisps and make it difficult to determine the correct route. In severe cases, players may have no choice but to leave PoE 2 instance.

The movement logic of Wisps itself is not necessarily a bug. They will move toward the exit, and if another Wisp is nearby, they may move toward the next Wisp first. So, a wisp changing direction does not automatically mean something is wrong.

The more obvious problem comes from the combination of the black mist's movement speed, monster density, and poor Wisp visibility. Together, these factors can make it extremely difficult to follow the correct route.

There is another strange interaction as well. If you restart the instance while following wisp, or return to your Hideout and then re-enter, your character may sometimes be sent directly into the second-stage boss arena.

Interestingly, this has become a way for some players to get around the issue when the original maze section becomes impossible to complete. Re-entering the instance can effectively bypass the problematic maze phase.

Stormborn Helmet

Stormborn Helmet's PoE 2 showcase page displays glowing eyes for the character and shows different colors such as blue, red, and white. This makes it look as though the glowing-eye effect is part of the helmet itself.

However, once you enter Path of Exile 2, equipping Stormborn Helmet by itself does not activate the glowing eyes. To get the corresponding colored effect, you also need to equip the matching Stormborn Body Armour. Only then will the character's eyes display the selected color.

The cosmetic effect itself is not necessarily broken. The problem is that Stormborn Helmet's showcase page can easily make players assume that the glowing eyes are included with the helmet, without clearly explaining that the body armour is also required.

This is something PoE 2 could clarify by improving the cosmetic's description and making the required combination more obvious.

Path of Exile 2 0.5.5 still has plenty of details that need further investigation. Not these issues are necessarily confirmed bugs. Some may involve the way PoE 2's mechanics are designed.

However, when skill descriptions, actual effects, and what players see in-game do not match, it is easy for players to misunderstand how a mechanic works.

Further patches could make these interactions clearer while also addressing the issues that are already affecting normal gameplay in Path of Exile 2.

In Path of Exile 2 0.5.5, Desecration is a commonly used mechanic when crafting high-value items. However, if every attempt relies on Omen of Light, the cost can quickly add up.

In practice, as long as PoE 2 item has the right modifier structure, you can combine Omen of Necromancy with an Essence or Alloy to keep Desecration working on a specific prefix or suffix without constantly consuming Omen of Light.

This method currently works mainly with Absent Amulet, Portent Amulet, and Dusk Ring. However, the number of modifiers on the base, the position of fractured modifiers, and whether PoE2 item already has crafted modifiers can all affect the final result.

Desecration

The key to this Path of Exile 2 crafting method is to keep one side of the item at exactly two modifiers, with one of them being a fractured modifier. For example, if you want to repeatedly use Desecration on suffixes, you need two suffixes, with one already fractured and the other serving as the position where you repeatedly overwrite and search for the desired modifier.

If there are three suffixes, the additional modifier slot can cause Desecration to affect a different position on PoE 2 item, making it difficult to consistently get the result you want.

In Forbidden Rites, this method can reduce the number of Omen of Light you need, but it still comes with a material cost. The main materials involved are Omen of Dexter Necromancy, Omen of Sinistral Necromancy, Essence, Alloy, and Preserved Collarbone.

Whenever Desecration creates an unwanted modifier, you can use an appropriate Essence or Alloy to overwrite it, then use Preserved Collarbone to continue with the next Desecration attempt.

This means Preserved Collarbone directly affects the cost of repeated attempts. You do not necessarily need to use one specific essence or alloy. As long as the material can affect the target position, you can choose whichever option has the lower current PoE 2 currency cost.

Absent Amulet

Absent Amulet has only four affixes, making it one of the more suitable bases for Desecration in PoE2 0.5.5. If you want to work on suffixes, prepare an Absent Amulet with a fractured suffix, then activate Omen of Dexter Necromancy to make Desecration target suffix side.

After using Desecration, if the revealed modifier is not the one you want, use an appropriate Essence or Alloy to overwrite it before making another Desecration attempt. Because one of the two suffixes is already fractured, the remaining suffix slot can then be used repeatedly.

For example, if Level of All Melee Skills has already been fractured and you are looking for Critical Damage Bonus, you can repeatedly search for the desired modifier with this method instead of consuming Omen of Light every time.

If you want to use the same method on prefixes of an Absent Amulet in Path of Exile 2, activate Omen of Sinistral Necromancy so that Desecration targets prefix side.

You can use materials such as Sovereign Alloy, Runic Alloy, Essence of the Breach, and Perfect Essence of Enhancement to overwrite unwanted prefixes before continuing with another Desecration attempt.

Essence of the Abyss is not particularly suitable for this method because it can affect either prefix or suffix side. If you have to use it, you also need to combine it with Omen of Dexter Crystallization or Omen of Sinistral Crystallisation to control the outcome, which increases the overall cost.

Portent Amulet

Portent Amulet can also use a similar Desecration method, but its modifier requirements are more restrictive. If you want to search for Minion modifiers, Level of All Spell Skills, or similar suffixes, you should first fill prefixes, then use Omen of Dexter Necromancy to make Desecration target suffix side.

Before starting, make sure to check the number of prefixes and suffixes on Portent Amulet, the position of fractured modifier, and the amount of Preserved Collarbone you will need for repeated attempts.

This preparation is especially important because modifier structure on Portent Amulet gives you less room for error. If the item does not have the correct structure before you start, subsequent desecration attempts may not behave as expected.

Dusk Ring

Dusk Ring can also be used with this type of Desecration method. If you want to work on suffixes, prepare a suitable Path of Exile 2 base, then activate Omen of Dexter Necromancy to make Desecration consistently target suffix side.

When an unwanted modifier appears, you can use Swift Alloy to overwrite it, then use Preserved Collarbone to continue with another Desecration attempt.

Dusk Ring has one particularly important restriction: the item cannot have two Crafted Modifiers. Essence and Alloy themselves count as Crafted modifiers, so before starting the process, make sure PoE 2 item does not already have other Crafted modifiers occupying those available slots.

For example, if you first use an Essence to obtain Rarity and then Fracture Rarity Modifier, the item can no longer be used for this method. Therefore, when crafting a Dusk Ring in Forbidden Rites, you need to check the number of crafted modifiers beforehand. Otherwise, you may only discover that the base no longer meets the requirements after investing a significant amount of PoE2 currency.

Desecration method in PoE 2 0.5.5 uses a fractured modifier, and a carefully controlled modifier structure to reduce your reliance on Omen of Light. However, the exact prefix, suffix, and crafted modifier requirements are different for each base.

Before starting the crafting process, it is better to check the item's modifier structure first and calculate the expected Path of Exile 2 currency cost. This makes the process of repeatedly searching for high-value modifiers more flexible while helping keep the overall crafting cost under control.

Abyss farming has felt noticeably different in Path of Exile 2 since Patch 0.5.5 went live.

Players who have been actively farming Abyss content recently have noticed that Omen of Light appears less frequently in surface-level Abysses; conversely, Abyssal Depths have begun yielding more Light Omens and other varieties.

GGG has announced no specific adjustments to drop rates, so these observations are based on player testing. However, current results suggest that farming strategies previously centered on Tablet modifiers and surface monsters may need to shift focus toward Abyssal Depths and Waystones.

More Abyssal Depths

In recent PoE 2 mapping sessions, Abyssal Depths sometimes appear every two or three maps - occasionally even back-to-back - and encounters with Lightless Void seem more frequent than before.

This makes Depths a more critical component of the overall Abyss farming strategy. Previously, if the surface Abyss didn't yield good loot, the map's profitability was essentially determined.

Now, even if the surface performance is mediocre, it is worth entering Depths, as a higher concentration of Omens may be found in the underground areas.

More Omen of Light in Depths

A representative round of testing covering approximately 22 to 25 PoE2 maps yielded 14 Omens of Light. Of these, 10 came from Abyssal Depths, while only 4 appeared on the surface.

This is nearly the reverse of the previous situation. In the past, most Light Omens came from Abyss monsters on the surface, with Depths serving merely as a supplementary source

Consequently, while some players specializing in Light farming feel that returns have dropped since Patch 0.5.5, the likely reason is simply that the surface areas - previously the primary focus - are no longer the main source of output. 

Average players might actually benefit more; simply entering Depths offers a chance to acquire more Light Omens without investing heavily in expensive Tablet setups or additional PoE 2 currency.

Better Drops Across Abyss Factions

Amanamu remains the most notable source of Omens of Light, but factions such as Kirrle and Ulaman also appear to be yielding better results within Depths. 

Theoretically, these monsters could always drop Omen of Light, but the probability was so low that it was easily overlooked in actual gameplay. In Patch 0.5.5, even if Amanamu does not appear in Depths, other factions can still provide decent Omen yields.

However, Amanamu Void Monsters remain the priority targets; this aspect has not significantly changed for the time being.

One Omen Rule

Another change is that in Abyssal Depths, it now appears possible to obtain multiple Omens from a single monster.

A hotfix in Patch 0.4 previously adjusted Amanamu Void Monsters so they would typically drop only one Omen at a time, which limited the benefits of further increasing monster difficulty.

In 0.5.5 Depths, however, instances of two or three Omens dropping at once have been observed - potentially including a mix of Omen of Light, Omen of the Blackblooded, Omen of Sovereignty, or Omen of Leech.

If this phenomenon proves consistently reproducible, the value of Monster Effectiveness will rise significantly, as buffing the underground monsters could directly result in more Omen drops.

Surface-level Abyss encounters still seem to follow the old rules, so the two zone types should be treated differently.

Pull-Out Method Still Works

The shift in rewards toward Depths has not rendered previous fundamental strategies obsolete.

When encountering Amanamu Void Monsters, it is still recommended to lure them out of Void or cloud before killing them. Killing them while they are inside still makes it more likely to obtain Omen of Leech.

This is particularly important for surface-level Abyss encounters. In Depths, because multiple Omens can drop simultaneously, an Omen of Leech might still appear in the loot even if you successfully lure the monster out; therefore, seeing an Omen of Leech does not necessarily mean the strategy failed.

Tablet Rolls Matter Less

One of the most common misconceptions regarding Abyss farming in 0.5.5 concerns the relationship between Tablets and Abyssal Depths.

While Atlas passive Close to Surface allows Waystone explicit modifiers to apply to Abyssal Depths, the explicit modifiers rolled on Tablet itself do not carry over underground.

Abyss Tablet itself remains useful, however. It increases the probability of monsters in Depths gaining Abyssal modifiers and Lich-form modifiers, while also boosting Pack Size; furthermore, the base effects of multiple Abyss Tablets stack.

Consequently, the need to spend large amounts of Path of Exile 2 currency chasing high-quality Tablet rolls has diminished, especially if most valuable drops are now coming from Abyssal Depths. Since the primary rewards are now concentrated underground, the quality of Waystone warrants more investment than before.

Try 3x Abyss Tablets

The previously common strategies involving mixed Delirium Tablets or Overseer Tablets derived their main advantages from surface monsters.

For players trying to control farming costs, this also makes 3x Abyss Tablets an appealing way to improve Depths without committing too much PoE2 currency to premium Tablet rolls.

These tablets consistently boost the probability of relevant modifiers and increase Pack Size in underground areas; even if Tablet rolls themselves aren't top-tier, they still provide effective bonuses.

While it is not yet certain that 3x Abyss Tablets is the ultimate optimal setup, for players specifically farming Omen of Light, it is a strategy well worth prioritizing for testing.

Doryani vs. Jado

The choice of Atlas Master may also need to shift accordingly.

One of Jado's past advantages was the ability to amplify the effects of Tablet explicit modifiers. This type of enhancement was highly practical when surface monsters were the primary source of rewards.

However, Depths do not directly inherit these specific Tablet lines; thus, as the focus of rewards shifts, Jado's advantage is diminished.

Doryani focuses more on directly enhancing the map and monsters - affecting stats such as Monster Effectiveness, the chance for Rare Monster modifiers, Item Rarity, and the likelihood of Magic Monster Packs gaining extra modifiers. 

Since Waystone modifiers apply to Depths, these enhancements align better with the current direction of Abyss farming.

If the primary goal is farming Abyssal Depths and Omens, Doryani is certainly worth re-evaluating against Jado.

Based on current performance, Patch 0.5.5 doesn't appear to simply raise or lower the drop rate of Omen of Light; instead, it seems to have shifted a portion of the rewards from the surface to Abyssal Depths. 

Consequently, setups that previously focused on juicing surface Abysses may appear less efficient, while the importance of Waystones, Abyss Tablets, and the strength of underground monsters is on the rise.

The distribution of Ascendancy classes in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.5 has become somewhat unbalanced.

Players choosing Gemling Legionnaire account for approximately 37% of the total, whereas Martial Artist and Disciple of Varashta sit at only around 9%; meanwhile, several other Ascendancies - such as Invoker, Pathfinder, Ritualist, and Smith of Kitava - fall below 1% mark.

However, the issue isn't simply that Gemling Legionnaire is overpowered. Currently, one can find compelling reasons to choose this class for a wide variety of playstyles, ranging from Grenade and Twister builds to Flameblast ailment setups.

The fact that so many vastly different builds ultimately converge on a single Ascendancy is the real takeaway from that 37% figure.

Why Advanced Thaumaturgy Matters?

Advanced Thaumaturgy node plays a pivotal role in Gemling Legionnaire's immense popularity in PoE 2 Patch 0.5.5.

This node allows Gem Quality to grant additional effects to skills, and for many skills, Quality directly alters the gameplay mechanics. Take Explosive Grenade, for instance: higher Quality results in a greater number of projectiles.

For Grenade builds, this kind of benefit is far more attractive than standard damage increases, especially once players have enough Path of Exile 2 currency to invest in higher-quality gems and supporting gear. It also puts Ascendancies that are thematically better suited for Grenades - such as Witchhunter and Tactician - in an awkward position.

The same applies to Flameblast. Its Quality boosts the magnitude of damaging ailments; when combined with mechanics like Oil Grenade, this can further amplify damage over time effects.

This is precisely what makes Advanced Thaumaturgy so appealing: it encourages players to actively seek out skills that benefit significantly from Quality and then develop new builds around them.

Grenade and Twister Are Just Symptoms

Playstyles like Gemling Grenade and Twister certainly dominate PoE 2 Patch 0.5.5 leaderboards. Twister itself may well undergo adjustments, and certain damage synergies that are clearly overperforming will probably need to be corrected.

However, simply addressing these specific popular skills won't solve the underlying problem. Right now, Explosive Grenade offers high returns on Quality, making Gemling a top pick for Grenade builds; if similar effects appear on other skills in the future, players will inevitably gravitate toward Gemling once again.

Gemling's popularity can also push up the cost of gear used by its strongest builds, meaning players may need to spend more PoE 2 currency to follow the current meta.

The strength of Advanced Thaumaturgy lies in its versatility - it doesn't require a build to be locked into one specific playstyle.

Why Older Ascendancies Fall Behind?

The popularity of Gemling Legionnaire in Patch 0.5.5 has highlighted the issues plaguing many older Ascendancies.

Pathfinder was originally well-suited for Concoction builds, but paths like Shattering Concoction, Bleed Concoction, and Explosion Concoction struggle to become mainstream choices today.

In contrast, PoE 2 players who choose Pathfinder often value the fact that their movement speed is unaffected by Slows or reduced movement speed penalties while using skills.

Ritualist faces similar issues. While features like the extra Ring slot and enhanced Rings and Amulets are highly practical, class-defining mechanics such as Blood Boil and Whispers Be Damned have failed to anchor viable builds on their own.

The disparity between Invoker and Martial Artist is even more apparent. The former primarily offers Spirit and elemental bonuses, whereas Martial Artist's Hollow Form Technique directly generates a Clone, enabling players to develop gameplay strategies centered on it.

Smith of Kitava features clear themes - such as Tempering, Manifest Weapon, and Fire Spell on Hit - but these mechanics currently lack mature synergies; many potential playstyles require convoluted setups to function effectively.

When a build needs several specific interactions just to become competitive, the extra PoE 2 currency required to assemble those pieces can make an already niche Ascendancy even less appealing.

Reworks Show The Right Direction

Interestingly, some Ascendancies recently added or adjusted in Patch 0.5.5 demonstrate a completely different approach.

Disciple of Varashta features mechanics tied to Djinn, giving players a clear incentive: if they want to build around Djinn, this Ascendancy becomes a natural choice. Yet, it doesn't pigeonhole players into playing only Djinn builds; other nodes remain useful for a variety of playstyles.

The same applies to Martial Artist. Hollow Form Technique provides a distinct starting point, allowing players to combine Clone with various skills. Similarly, the new mechanics for Acolyte of Shavronne further expand the potential for Poison stacking, albeit with a higher setup cost.

The changes to Oracle are particularly telling. Following adjustments to Ancestral Bond, Spell Totems function more naturally, and high-ranking Oracle Totem builds have already appeared on the leaderboards. A well-executed Ascendancy rework can indeed bring a previously overlooked class back into the spotlight.

Ascendancies Still Need Identity

GGG has previously expressed concerns about class-locked gameplay. If a shapeshifting build ultimately relies on one specific Ascendancy to be viable, it would indeed undermine the build freedom that PoE 2 emphasizes.

However, PoE 2 faces another issue now. To avoid locking players into a single playstyle, the unique features of some Ascendancies have been designed too conservatively; consequently, the only truly valuable traits left are generic damage boosts, movement speed, Spirit, or other quality-of-life benefits.

While there appear to be many choices on the surface, in actual build creation, players still gravitate toward the most versatile and high-yield classes.

Therefore, leading up to version 1.0, the priority shouldn't necessarily be nerfing Gemling Legionnaire down to a mediocre level - though Advanced Thaumaturgy certainly has aspects that need addressing.

Specific issues - such as Quality effects generating excessive projectiles or certain Ailment synergies exceeding reasonable limits - do need to be adjusted.

But if the approach is simply to keep lowering its benefits until Advanced Thaumaturgy becomes just another generic damage-boosting node, PoE 2 would lose an Ascendancy design that is currently highly successful.

Gemling Legionnaire highlights more than just a power-level issue; it reveals that many older Ascendancies struggle to give players a compelling reason to choose them.

If the focus for 1.0 is solely on nerfing Gemling, the underlying problem will probably persist. The real priority is ensuring other Ascendancies offer distinct playstyles and provide players with more room for build creativity, rather than funneling every build toward the same single answer.

Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.5b mainly focuses on bug fixes, crash issues, and adjustments to some endgame content.

Among these fixes, the abnormal reward issue that previously occurred in Trial of Chaos has received particular attention. In addition, Expedition drops, Ritual encounters, Ultimatum, and multiple maps and online features have also been adjusted.

For players currently trying to earn their first Divine Orb in POE2 Forbidden Rites, there are also several changes worth paying attention to.

Expedition

Patch 0.5.5b adjusts the drop performance of POE 2 Expedition, fixes an issue where some Expedition monsters could not drop Expedition Tablets, increases the number of Tablets dropped, and fixes an issue that prevented Expedition from naturally appearing in Endgame.

Based on these changes, Expedition farming is currently one of the most efficient ways to farm POE 2 currency in Forbidden Rites. First, you should choose the Increase Number of Runic Monster Markers modifier to increase the number of Runic Monster Markers on the map.

Chance to Duplicate Runic Monsters modifier has a chance to duplicate generated Runic Monsters, while Quantity of Log Books increases the number of Logbooks that drop. You should also choose modifiers that increase the chance of Vile Relics appearing.

After entering the map, focus on finding Runic Monsters. By duplicating monsters, increasing the number of Remnants, and improving your chances of getting Log Books, you can increase your overall returns.

Try to route through areas with a high density of Runic Monsters and arrange your path based on the locations and effects of Remnants. Remnants with effects such as Opulent Rune and monster duplication can be prioritized.

However, as more and more Path of Exile 2 players adopt the same Expedition Farming strategy, the supply of Log Books will also increase quickly, which could cause their prices to fall. If you plan to take advantage of this profit opportunity, it is recommended to sell your stored Log Books as soon as possible to avoid shrinking profits.

Trial of Chaos

Early in Path of Exile 2 Forbidden Rites event, Trial of Chaos had a serious bug that allowed some players to join an already completed Trial of Chaos instance and receive Ascendancy Points after boss was defeated. Under the normal mechanics, only players who were already inside the instance when boss died should receive the corresponding rewards.

This issue allowed some players to bypass the normal challenge process and quickly obtain large amounts of POE 2 currency. If it had continued, it could also have affected the overall game economy. Fortunately, Patch 0.5.5b has fixed this bug.

Now, when you normally fight a boss in POE 2, you should enter, complete, and leave the instance through the standard process. Do not attempt to obtain rewards through disconnecting, rejoining in an incorrect order, or other abnormal methods. Even if you are not intentionally exploiting a bug, these actions may prevent you from receiving rewards correctly.

Ultimatum

Ultimatum changes mainly affect the retry system after failing a challenge. Previously, when new players used Trial of Chaos or Ultimatum-related tickets for the first time, they could easily fail because they were unfamiliar with the mechanics, losing both a challenge and opportunity and their resources.

Now, after failing, you can obtain another relevant challenge opportunity from Trial Master at Temple of Chaos entrance in POE 2, significantly reducing the cost of trial and error in Ultimatum.

Crash

Several hotfixes in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.5b target game crashes, including client crash and instance crash. The former mainly refers to errors within the game client that cause you to crash directly, while the latter occurs when a map or dungeon instance runs into an issue that may prevent the current map from functioning properly.

You can also fill out Atlas nodes for Azmerian Spirits, Summoning Circles, and extra monster packs. These monsters can generate additional Tribute at Ritual Altars.

For the general Atlas, continue to bolster stats like Pack Size, Magic Monsters, Rare Monsters, and additional monster packs. A higher volume of monsters entering Ritual area results in more Tribute, thereby supporting more Favor rerolls.

Budget Tablet Configuration

For budget Ritual farming, start with two Rare Ritual Tablets that boost Omen chance and pair them with Freedom of Faith. This establishes the core loop without a large Path of Exile 2 currency investment.

In Patch 0.5.5, Omen chance modifier typically ranges from 35% to 70%; higher values ​​are preferable. This configuration relies on a high Omen spawn rate to secure valuable rewards, while Freedom of Faith increases the number of Favor rerolls available.

For high-investment Ritual farming in Forbidden Rites Event, you can swap the core modifier on your Rare Ritual Tablet to Ritual Altars in Maps Allow Rerolling Favours 1 - 3 Additional Times.

This modifier is rare, and +3 reroll Tablets usually cost much more than +1 Tablets. Keep Freedom of Faith, as it becomes more effective with a higher base reroll count.

In Patch 0.5.5, if there is a large price gap between +1 and +3 Tablets, you can pick up a +1 Tablet and use a PoE 2 Divine Orb to reroll the modifier, hoping to raise it to +2 or +3.

This offers a chance to acquire a high-value Tablet at a lower cost, though whether it is truly economical depends on the current market prices of Tablets and Divine Orbs.

For secondary modifiers, prioritize increased Tribute, higher Magic/Rare enemy spawn rates, or reduced Tribute costs for Deferring Favours. These all boost Ritual returns, but there is no need to pay an excessive premium just to chase perfect stats.

Further Optimization

Once your Tablet is set up for Forbidden Rites Event Ritual farming, you should also optimize your Waystones. Rituals rely heavily on the number of monsters in the map, making Pack Size one of the most important attributes.

Higher Pack Size results in more monsters appearing in Ritual area, thereby generating more Tribute. Once your character is sufficiently powerful, prioritize Waystones with higher Pack Size; however, if the map difficulty significantly slows down your clear speed, there is no need to force-stack modifiers.

Upon reaching the stable farming phase of Patch 0.5.5, you can incorporate Jado's Tablet enhancement. This grants Tablet's explicit modifiers 0% - 40% increased effect, benefiting stats like Omen chance, Tribute, and other key affixes.

It simply amplifies your existing Tablet modifiers, making it a useful addition once the rest of the setup is ready.

Late-Game Loop

For high-investment Ritual farming, you can incorporate Head of the King. This item can be obtained via trade or by defeating King in the Mists.

If you possess an Audience with King item, you can travel to the corresponding zone to locate King in the Mists and attempt to acquire Head of the King yourself.

Upon use, you can select a zone and view its additional effects. If the current zone's potential yield is mediocre, you can exit and search for a different zone.

Effects well-suited for Ritual farming include extra Favor rerolls, increased Tribute, additional monster packs, and modifiers that directly spawn high-value rewards.

Once the route is confirmed, you must complete the five maps selected for Rite of the Nameless in sequence. Each subsequent map stacks additional Ritual monsters and effects; after completing the full cycle, use a new Head of the King to begin the next loop.
