Tired of Boring Mob Grinds? How Lunaria Mechanic Completely Overhauls Farming in Torchlight Infinite SS12?

Torchlight Infinite SS12 launches on April 16th, featuring a Lunaria theme and introducing a new season mechanic, two permanent mechanics, a new hero, and a system rework she brings. This guide will provide a detailed overview.

Apr 15, 2026 Author: EZG

I think all players will be very happy to hear that Torchlight: Infinite is getting a new season, as each season brings a lot of surprises, and SS12 is no exception. The theme of this season is Lunaria, and it is scheduled to be officially released on all platforms at 7 pm Pacific Time on April 16th.

According to the official season patch notes, SS12 Lunaria season will add a new season mechanic, a Hero - Scent Weaver Sage, and permanent Creation Engine, as well as modify some existing content, such as reworking Potion system into Elixir Skills. Tired of Boring Mob Grinds? How Lunaria Mechanic Completely Overhauls Farming in Torchlight Infinite SS12?

On the occasion of the game's third anniversary, the amount of goodwill it has prepared is truly impressive. So how exactly do these additions and modifications work in Torchlight: Infinite? And what should you be aware of during your travels next season? Don't worry, EZG.com will answer all your questions in this guide.

Season Mechanic: Lunaria

First up is Lunaria mechanic, named after the season's theme. The developers have hailed it as one of the biggest changes to the mob spawning system in Torchlight Infinite's history. This seasonal mechanic revolves around Lunar Stone Statues scattered throughout Netherrealm; you need to wear Lunar Rings to interact with and awaken them.

After awakening, you won't be greeted with rewards, but rather by Lunari creatures - enemies you'll need to fight. Defeating them will yield loot, such as energy to awaken more statues, gear, and numerous Torchlight Infinite Currencies. If you think this is just a normal, repetitive monster-slaying process, you're sorely mistaken.

During this process, the events Lunar Omens and Rhapsodies will be triggered randomly, bringing different mechanisms that will affect the statues you encounter: Lunar Radiance will spawn a golden statue that drops more loot; Moonlit Revival will reset all Lunari creatures to statue form; Moonrise rhapsody will prevent Lunar Harp from consuming energy.

With this added element of uncertainty, the entire monster-farming process becomes more complex, but also more interesting.

New Hero: Scent Weaver Sage

After discussing the season mechanics, let's take a look at the new hero added in Torchlight: Infinite SS12: Scent Weaver Sage. She is a potion-based healer who can flexibly adjust potion recipes during combat, such as converting less commonly used Injury Buffer or Convert Physical Damage to the more useful Random Elemental Damage affix.

This Sage build will also have two specialization paths: Scholar route, which maximizes health and mana and converts base stats into potion-enhancing effects; and Mad Scientist route, which adds an extra attack potion for a more aggressive build. So, if you prefer a defensive and survivable playstyle, consider the former; while if you prefer an offensive and critical strike build, the latter is more suitable.Buy Cheap and Safe Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium from EZG.com to Prepare Best SS12 Build Fast

Potion System Reworked

In light of the arrival of Scent Weaver Sage, the original potion system in Torchlight: Infinite has been completely overhauled: there will no longer be potion bottles that need to be consumed, but instead, they will all be replaced by castable Elixir Skills that rely on energy consumption instead of mana to cast. Currently, Elixir Skills are divided into the following three categories:

  • Tonics: For life and mana recover.
  • Dews: For single-stat boosts.
  • Distillates: For complex composite effects.

Creation Engine Added - Permanent

Another new addition is the Creation Engine, the machine protected by Creation Sentries, which will be launched with this season and permanently retained. They will appear in various locations on the map and will immediately attack you upon encounter. If you successfully retaliate, nearby Creation Crystals will be converted into top-tier loot, including legendaries and exclusive Fluorescent Memories.

Meanwhile, you can manipulate the final loot generation by investing a certain resource into Netherrealm Talents - a small investment transforms Creation Engines into buff generators; a higher investment unlocks two options: Whimsical Creation Crystals, which require matching two identical crystals to improve the quality of the loot; and Gold Creation Crystals, which chain-activate all crystals within Engine.

Other Additions

In addition to the major additions and modifications mentioned above, there are other things in Torchlight Infinite that you should pay special attention to in this SS12 Lunaria, such as Modularization, a permanent summoning mechanism added this season. It allows you to copy the most recently defeated boss and turn it from an enemy on the battlefield into an ally for a limited time, covering 20 bosses.

Moreover, the developers have added a brand-new progress system, Renewed Memories, it adds Revival to the original Hero Memories system, which is a completely new creation method that can unlock the power hidden within memories. These powers include the following:

  • Wax and Wave: Increases base value affixes.
  • Rising Moon: Elevates the fixed affix tier.
  • Lunar Ring: Expands the Memory with a set of powerful random affixes.
  • Young Moon: Adds an extra powerful hero trait affix on Ultimate Memories.

The introduction of these new powers and new compound affixes will revolutionize the character build options available in the game. We eagerly anticipate all players creating a diverse range of unique setups in SS12.

Finally, to celebrate the third anniversary of Torchlight: Infinite, a Midas Touch anniversary event will be launched in the game, expected to be released simultaneously with the new season. In this event, you can earn points by completing objectives to spin a roulette wheel for a chance to win Pactspirit Crystals, Jagged Primocrysts, and commemorative Gold exclusive to this anniversary celebration.
