With less than a week to go until the official launch of WoW TBC Classic Anniversary on February 5th, are you ready with plenty of gold and the classes you want to play? Before February 5: Essential TBC Classic Anniversary Pre-Patch Tips You Shouldn't Ignore

Before heading into Dark Portal, here are some useful timesaving tips to help you use your game time more efficiently.

Farming Reputation

In Classic TBC, reaching level 70 isn't the focus. If you quickly level up to 70 without farming Reputation points, you'll later be bogged down by numerous quests and rewards that require High Reputation to unlock, making your progress even less efficient.

Therefore, whether in the live server or the pre-patch phase, leveling up is just a secondary objective. Because regardless, after level 70, you'll need to farm Reputation to unlock Heroic Dungeons and various achievements.

So why not gain Reputation while leveling? This is the core gameplay of TBC: one thing can advance multiple goals simultaneously.

Dungeons

Between levels 60 and 65, you can gain a significant amount of Reputation from the following Dungeons:

  • Hellfire Ramparts
  • Blood Furnace
  • Slave Pens
  • Underbog

These Dungeons provide normal Reputation gains at lower levels, but as your level increases, Reputation gains plummet to only 1 Reputation point per kill, making it extremely inefficient.

Therefore, the most efficient approach is to farm Reputation while still gaining experience at levels where it's highly rewarding.

Note that Reputation gains from these Dungeons are typically limited to Honored. You should move on to higher-level Dungeons, such as Shattered Halls and Steamvaults.

Furthermore, it's strongly recommended to save quests for level 70, as this will yield more gold. If you can find a Dungeon group, prioritize running dungeons; only clear quests when you're out of groups. This will not only maximize your Reputation gains but also allow you to obtain more WoW TBC Classic Anniversary gold.

Complete Karazhan Questline

This questline requires you to complete:

  • Shadow Labyrinth
  • Sethekk Halls
  • Old Hillsbrad Foothills
  • Black Morass
  • Auchindoun questsWoW TBC Classic Anniversary Karazhan

This is a very long questline, but extremely rewarding in experience. The ideal completion time is around level 68. This allows you to utilize the abundant Dungeons dungeon experience to level up directly to 70, while also obtaining a large amount of Pre-Raid BiS. If you also have Classic Tier 3 sets, you can almost immediately enter raids upon reaching level 70.

Obtaining Flying Mounts

Flying Mounts are essential in WoW TBC. They grant access to Arcatraz, Karazhan, Tempest Keep and its instances, Serpentshrine Cavern (requires defeating Nightbane), and unlock daily quests, completing key elite quests in Shadowmoon Valley and Netherstorm.

Delaying the acquisition of Flying Mounts will significantly slow down your overall progress.

Learning Professions

In TBC, Engineering is no longer the absolute dominant profession. Overall, the various professions are more balanced.

However, Leatherworking remains one of the core professions for raids because drum-type items such as battle drums provide the Bloodlust effect.

Crafting professions like Tailoring and Blacksmithing no longer only offer pre-rade or slot gear. They become very useful throughout TBC Classic Pre-Patch, remaining powerful even across two raid phases. For example, Spellstrike Hood and Frozen Shadoweave Robe.

Furthermore, the class meta has changed significantly. Hunters and Warlocks have become top-tier DPS, while Warriors and Rogues no longer dominate. Many specs considered fun specializations in Classic have become powerful raid supports in TBC.

Near-BiS Gear

Hit gear is crucial in Classic TBC. Without sufficient hits, the benefits of critical strikes and haste will be greatly reduced, and DPS output will be severely affected.

Additionally, if you're playing a spellcaster class like Warlocks, your spell hits require a whopping 202 points. Ignoring spell hit gear during leveling will make things very difficult in Karazhan phase.

During leveling, many hit/spell hit gear items typically come from quest rewards and party quests; pay attention to these and stack them.

Some near-BiS gear, even if it's only blue or green quest gear, might be the most crucial piece of gear you acquire before entering raids.

Especially if you only use one spec while leveling but plan to switch to another after level 70, so pay close attention to those near-BiS gears you might not need now but will be important in the future.

Other

Top-tier weapon enchantments dropped by Karazhan require a large amount of Void Crystals. However, obtaining them through normal methods is very slow and expensive. You can craft and disenchant Soulcloth Shoulders gear, which is not only extremely low cost but also provides a stable supply of Void Crystals.

Additionally, ranged casters and Feral Druids who need to hit should choose Scryer. Although Aldor has higher spell damage, Scryer provides a significant amount of spell hits, which is more beneficial for these specs. Tanks and most classes should still choose Aldor because it provides a large amount of defense rating, allowing you to reach the dodge cap faster.

These are some tips you should keep in mind for WoW TBC Classic Anniversary Pre-Patch. The goal of this type of game isn't efficiency, but enjoying the gameplay. These tips will help optimize your gaming experience. Happy gaming!
